02. What is one of your character’s biggest insecurities? Are they able to hide it easily or can others easily exploit this weakness?

Not being interesting to others. She does want people to look at her, even if it conflicts with her preference to have some sort of distance between her and others. Since she's rather hard to read, it isn't an oblivious insecurity. Too much attention can become sickening to her. However, it can be exploited; give her the right amount of praise/attention, and you can get her to linger around you.

08. What is, perhaps, their biggest flaw? Are they aware of this or oblivious to it?

Akasha is self destructive. She doesn't have a consistent diet or schedule, and regularly engages in habits in excess. Her blood drinking addiction is the most obvious. She is aware of some of her bad habits but others not so much. For example, while she is level-headed most of the time, she is prone to bottling up her emotions and letting them out in bursts.

09. Do they have a favorite season? What about a favorite holiday?

Late summer and fall. Cooler weather but not too cold. Longer nights as well because while it is safe for trolls to be out during the day on her planet, most are still nocturnal. The cafes she frequents also gets extra cozy around this time with cute décor. For holiday, she'd like the troll equivalent of Halloween. Costume parties, cheesy horror movie marathons, discount decorations the day after.

27. If your character was going to get arrested, what would be the most likely reason for it?

Oh goodness. potentially verbal assault towards a highblood after her anger gets bottled up and she loses her patience. Maybe breaking and entering if her friends decide to do something stupid and it turns out that the "totally abandoned" place they wanted to urban explore isn't abandoned.

Out of your whole crew who believes that magic is a real and attainable thing? Who thinks it's bullshit? And also the reasoning for these beliefs?

Well. Amdala surely believes in magic! Being a magic user herself and has grown up w/magic basically all of her life. Mori 100% believes in magic as well. And by association so does Mori's older sister, Nyxine. Shercot totally believes in magic as well. He's silly like that <3 As for people who DON'T believe in magic? Paetho 100%. He just thinks the idea is bullshit and illogical. Cervin doesn't entirely believe in magic as well despite having a magic using moirail, he just doesn't wanna admit he likes the idea of magic. Uhhhhh. Everyone else is kinda in between tbh. I think the only other people who have a strong opinion on magic is Azamuk, he does believe it, but assumes only people who've known magic all of their lives any use it. Psiloc believes in magic as well bc his older sister is a magic user! But he himself can't do anything outside of his chucklevoodoos.

10. How open is your oc to trying new things? Are they the adventurous sort, or would they rather stay in their comfort zone? Why?

Snow Loves trying new things!! It's his favorite thing about being in modern society after so long of not knowing fuck all. So much is new to him and he finds wonder in learning about or trying even more mundane things he's never known about before.

He also just loves to explore and is very much the definition of a curious cat.

23. How difficult is it for your oc to get to sleep? Do they fall asleep the moment they hit the pillow, or do they have insomnia? Any reason why?

He doesn't fall asleep the second he's down for rest, but it usually does happen pretty quickly! It's not uncommon for him to sleep in his feral form or on his roof either, actually! He likes sleeping 'outside' a lot.

But really, after living your whole childhood and early adulthood in a cage anywhere that isn't a cramped silver prison is gonna be much easier to sleep in.

10. How open is your oc to trying new things? Are they the adventurous sort, or would they rather stay in their comfort zone? Why?

With regard to everything outside of scientific experimentation? He does not like trying new things and he is Not adventurous at all. The only way he's trying something new is out of necessity or because someone else pushed him to do so. He just doesn't care for taking risks, being disappointed, or embarrassing himself in any way, so he'd rather not do anything that could lead to those effects.

23. How difficult is it for your oc to get to sleep? Do they fall asleep the moment they hit the pillow, or do they have insomnia? Any reason why?

He has anxiety and paranoia-induced insomnia like crazy and is also a light sleeper, so anything disruptive or unusual will almost certainly wake him up. This all makes getting sleep very hard and tbh he rarely falls asleep on purpose or in a comfortable place.

He's not a total fool about getting rest though, he knows he needs to get some for his mind to be sharp enough for all the experimentation he does. Often times he'll lay in bed for a couple hours to rest in some fashion, even if eventually he gets stir-crazy and ends up getting up mid-day anyway...

Hiii!! Ufff I don't know how to tell you that I love your take on Floyd. like some bad bad life decisions were taken (THAT SO!!! INTERESTING FOR HIM). Do you think he ever feels ashamed of himself when he looks at Branch's eyes, like "shit, this guy really believes in me" or "he doesn't even know everything I have done"? Like he has some really BIG "Love me Less by Max" vibes

And OH he definitely feels so much shame and regret. I think a big part of why he fell as hard as he did was because he finally didn't have to be his brothers' mediator, and I guess at one point he forgot that he still needed to be the voice of reason for himself. His new band mates encouraging his reckless behavior didn't help. Honestly I personally think young Floyd was a very naive kid and very dependent on his older brothers but his strong empathy gave them all the impression that he was much more mature and independent than he really was...

So yeah... you can imagine that constantly partying, doing drugs and sleeping around wears someone down after a few years. I think Floyd also went gray like Branch (not for as long tho) and he broke up with the band wanting to go home badly, but he was also ashamed of showing his face after a number of years as a gray drug addict, so he kind of just ended up alone...

If we're sharing songs, I have to show you this one by Linkin Park because I think Floyd wrote it for Branch (and the rest of his family (and some parts also addressing himself)) while he was at that desperate and lonely period because I am also extremely emo

Oh gosh, he's still being developed but here's the rough concept I have for the shitty man.

Her ancestor would be the Hedonist who eventually became the Poorlove after some poor life choices.

Horrible cheater —> cursed by angry lover to have shit luck with his actual quadrants —> Akasha has some of this bad luck as a result

His title "The Hedonist" references how originally Akasha was going to be a violet blood with Aquiborn (sign of the hedonist) as her sign.

Essentially a pretty boy who loved the pleasures of life. This included dipping in and out of relationships. Eventually he broke the wrong heart and she went to the ancestor of another fantroll I have who was able to place curses on others.

“Not enough to wipe out [his] bloodline. No- She wanted him to suffer through many lifetimes. She wanted him to have descendants so that the curse of the Poorlove could continue, even if it did dim over the sweeps.”

Akasha hasn't learned much about her ancestor. Primarily because he died as a sad little man who had more enemies than allies.
