It’s not a big thing but still I’m surprised that, though The Hardy Boys are meant to be around the same age, in reality, the age gap between the oldest and the youngest of the cast members, is 12 years.
They look similar in age, hence the surprise.

Mini-review:
I finally got around to watching this show in the past week, and I must say it definitely deserves all the hype! I wasn't sure if I was going to like it during the first episodes, but I got more and more hooked as I kept watching. In fact, I enjoyed the second season way more than the first one and now I'm certain I will tune in when the next one starts. One of the best things about the show is that it perfectly knows how to do both smart and silly comedy, and its sense of humor never stops surprising you. Another thing I particularly loved is the way each episode sort of focus on one character, which really expands the scope of the story and the setting. On top of all this, both mysteries were really interesting, although the second one kept me guessing a lot longer. As always, I'm a huge fan of murder mysteries, specially when they are as well made, told and acted as this one.

Wait wait no I had it all wrong. Julian wouldn’t be an avatar of the Stranger. He fears that he has ‘replaced’ Jules, but he hasn’t, not really. The Stranger is about lies, but a specific kind— it’s about impostors, replacements (*cough* changelings *cough*) and the uncanny, the sense of something not being quite right. That’s not really Julian’s deal.
Instead, I’d like to submit the argument that Julian would be aligned with the Dark. My reasoning is this:
First, Julian’s lies are lies of omission. He hides things; he doesn’t want to be seen for who- or what- he is. That desire to be unknown fits well with the Dark.
Second, he is drawn to the unknown and the not-yet-understood. The frontier. And, yes, I know curiosity could be taken as an argument for the Eye instead, but he reminds me of Manuela Dominguez (see: MAG 135), who started out as a physicist for similar reasons.
Finally, outside of Rayner and his cult, the Dark is most often represented as a “children’s fear” that adults typically grow out of, except when they don’t (see: MAG 86). Given the way that Julian compartmentalizes/sees Jules as separate from himself, I can see him drawing a line between the young boy who was afraid of the dark and what lies within it, and the man who thinks of himself as one of those ‘monsters’ obscured by the darkness/lies.
So yeah, I think dark!Julian actually makes more sense than stranger!Julian, on reflection.

We the People: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow exhibition February 2 through April 16, 2023 
The Ontario Museum of History & Art and guest curators Riea Owens and Dr. Patricia Jessup-Woodlin invite you to our upcoming exhibition, We the People: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow, running from Thursday, February 2, to Sunday, April 16, 2023. The Preamble states, "We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America." From an open call, 61 artists were selected and will be on view in three of the Museum’s galleries. The artworks on view question and interpret the Preamble's complexities and contradictions.
We the People: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow brought an overwhelming number of excellent submissions that made the selection process challenging for the guest curators. The artworks will move the audience through a multitude of emotions as they consider such wide ranging topics as the racial divide, social injustice, voter suppression, environmental concerns, women's rights, immigration reform, and more.
This is an excellent opportunity for the museum audience to view a vast diversity of art and artists representative of We the People, said guest curator Dr. Patricia Jessup-Woodlin. This exhibit combines diverse artistic approaches, including site-specific installations, multimedia works, and traditional media such as painting, sculpture, printmaking, and collage, to challenge and engage the viewer on these political issues. Through the power of art, the exhibition hopes to inspire empathy, understanding, and a sense of shared purpose among its audience as we work together to create a more just and equitable society for all. The community is invited to the artist reception on Saturday, February 18, from 6 PM to 9 PM. Also, join us for a moderated conversation on March 4, 2023, from 2 PM to 4 PM, with guest curators Riea Owens and Dr. Patricia Jessup-Woodlin, and artists featured in We the People. The discussion will focus on artistic practices and perspectives about the Preamble’s phrase “We the People.” The Museum’s programs are held on-site and are free to the public.
