“Of all the Joseph Duclos bags, the Diane Collection is my favorite, as each piece features a unique arrow-shaped clasp, inspired by its namesake: Diana, the goddess of the hunt. “Just like her, it celebrates femininity that is both powerful and natural,” the brand's website reads. Can you think of a more perfect bag for the woman who wrote “The Archer”?”

The prime minister's residence has been stripped of asbestos, mold, lead, and rodents. But with the home still standing empty after eight years without a tenant and with no clear plan for its future, there's no guarantee the mice won't move back.
The home at 24 Sussex Drive is in a sorry state, thanks to successive political leaders being unwilling to be seen spending money to refit the 19th-century home. The work being done now is maintenance that "must be addressed regardless of any decision taken by the government on the future of the prime minister's residence," the NCC said in a media statement.
Crews at 24 Sussex Drive have removed all the asbestos, lead, and mold from the crumbling house. Valérie Dufour, a spokesperson for the NCC, said crews have also stripped out the old electrical wiring and plumbing, and heat pumps are being installed to keep it from freezing while a decision is made about its future.
The rodents are also gone. And although previous reports said they were rats, they were mostly mice.
The NCC estimates the residence needs almost $37 million in repairs and renovations. The home was built in 1868 by Joseph Currier in the Gothic Revival style. In 1902, it was sold to fellow lumber baron W.C. Edwards, and several new features were added, including a turreted three-story tower, gingerbread fascia, and a porte cochère. Those "chateauesque" features were later removed when the home was expropriated in the 1940s and renovated for use as the prime minister's residence.
Did you know that in 1975, while Pierre Trudeau was prime minister, anonymous private donors generously funded a pool and sauna at 24 Sussex? Some argue against spending money on the building to acknowledge the positive impact donations can have on improving public spaces. Let's consider the benefits of investing in our infrastructure and create a better future for all.
Wernick said the current government considered renovations early on but did not act.
Andrew MacDougall, former director of communications to Stephen Harper, said there's a small window when a sitting prime minister get away with renovating their home.
MacDougall said Trudeau squandered the chance to renovate the home when he took office, and Harper never could because he was elected with a minority in 2006. In 2011, when the Conservatives won a majority, the world was coming off the global financial crisis.
Sheila Copps, a former Liberal deputy prime minister, said she's approached former prime ministers, including Jean Chrétien, Harper, and Brian Mulroney, to see if they might lend their support to a cross-partisan push to end the stalemate and restore 24 Sussex.
Copps, who now lobbies on behalf of the heritage group Historic Ottawa Development Inc., said she approached the late former NDP leader Ed Broadbent.
In a statement sent to CBC's The House, the office of Public Services and Procurement Minister Jean-Yves Duclos said, "Any decision for the future of 24 Sussex Drive will not be taken lightly." The statement said the government is still in discussions with stakeholders.
Heritage groups fear further deterioration if it doesn't happen soon. Others are convinced that politics is making a decision impossible.

Today the Church remembers the Vietnamese Martyrs (Vietnamese: Các Thánh Tử đạo Việt Nam), also known as the Martyrs of Annam, Martyrs of Tonkin and Cochinchina, Martyrs of Indochina, or Andrew Dung-Lac and Companions (Anrê Dũng-Lạc và các bạn tử đạo).
Orate pro nobis.
The Martyrs of Vietnam
The Vatican estimates the number of Vietnamese martyrs at between 130,000 and 300,000. The Vietnamese Martyrs fall into several groupings, those of the Dominican and Jesuit missionary era of the 18th century and those killed in the politically inspired persecutions of the 19th century. A representative sample of only 117 martyrs—including 96 Vietnamese, 11 Spanish Dominicans, and 10 French members of the Paris Foreign Missions Society (Missions Etrangères de Paris)—were beatified on four separate occasions: 64 by Pope Leo XIII on May 27, 1900; eight by Pope Pius X on May 20, 1906; 20 by Pope Pius X on May 2, 1909; and 25 by Pope Pius XII on April 29, 1951. All these 117 Vietnamese Martyrs were canonized on June 19, 1988. A young Vietnamese Martyr, Andrew Phú Yên, was beatified in March, 2000 by Pope John Paul II.
Vietnamese martyrs Paul Mi, Pierre Duong, Pierre Truat, martyred on 18 December 1838.
The tortures these individuals underwent are considered by the Vatican to be among the worst in the history of Christian martyrdom. The torturers hacked off limbs joint by joint, tore flesh with red hot tongs, and used drugs to enslave the minds of the victims. Christians at the time were branded on the face with the words "tả đạo" (左道, lit. "Left (Sinister) religion") and families and villages which subscribed to Christianity were obliterated.
The letters and example of Théophane Vénard inspired the young Saint Thérèse of Lisieux to volunteer for the Carmelite nunnery at Hanoi, though she ultimately contracted tuberculosis and could not go. In 1865 Vénard's body was transferred to his Congregation's church in Paris, but his head remains in Vietnam.
The Church in Vietnam was devastated during the Tây Sơn rebellion in the late 18th century. During the turmoil, the missions revived, however, as a result of cooperation between the French Vicar Apostolic Pigneaux de Behaine and Nguyen Anh. After Nguyen's victory in 1802, in gratitude to assistance received, he ensured protection to missionary activities. However, only a few years into the new emperor's reign, there was growing antipathy among officials against Christianity and missionaries reported that it was purely for political reasons that their presence was tolerated. Tolerance continued until the death of the emperor and the new emperor Minh Mang succeeding to the throne in 1820.
Converts began to be harassed without official edicts in the late 1820s, by local governments. In 1831 the emperor passed new laws on regulations for religious groupings in Viet Nam, and Christianity was then officially prohibited. In 1832, the first act occurred in a largely Christian village near Hue, with the entire community being incarcerated and sent into exile in Cambodia. In January 1833 a new kingdom-wide edict was passed calling on Vietnamese subjects to reject the religion of Jesus and required suspected Christians to demonstrate their renunciation by walking on a wooden cross. Actual violence against Catholics, however, did not occur until the Lê Văn Khôi revolt.
During the rebellion, a young French missionary priest named Joseph Marchand was living in sickness in the rebel Gia Dinh citadel. In October 1833, an officer of the emperor reported to the court that a foreign Christian religious leader was present in the citadel. This news was used to justify the edicts against Christianity, and led to the first executions of missionaries in over 40 years. The first executed was named Francois Gagelin. Marchand was captured and executed as a "rebel leader" in 1835; he was put to death by "slicing". Further repressive measures were introduced in the wake of this episode in 1836. Prior to 1836, village heads had only to simply report to local mandarins about how their subjects had recanted Christianity; after 1836, officials could visit villages and force all the villagers to line up one by one to trample on a cross and if a community was suspected of harbouring a missionary, militia could block off the village gates and perform a rigorous search; if a missionary was found, collective punishment could be meted out to the entire community.
Missionaries and Christian communities were able to sometimes escape this through bribery of officials; they were also sometimes victims of extortion attempts by people who demanded money under the threat that they would report the villages and missionaries to the authorities.
The court became more aware of the problem of the failure to enforce the laws and applied greater pressure on its officials to act; officials that failed to act or those tho who were seen to be acting too slowly were demoted or removed from office (and sometimes were given severe corporal punishment), while those who attacked and killed the Christians could receive promotion or other rewards. Lower officials or younger family members of officials were sometimes tasked with secretly going through villages to report on hidden missionaries or Christians that had not apostasized.
The first missionary arrested during this (and later executed) was the priest Jean-Charles Cornay in 1837. A military campaign was conducted in Nam Dinh after letters were discovered in a shipwrecked vessel bound for Macao. Quang Tri and Quang Binh officials captured several priests along with the French missionary Bishop Pierre Dumoulin-Borie in 1838 (who was executed). The court translator, Francois Jaccard, a Christian who had been kept as a prisoner for years and was extremely valuable to the court, was executed in late 1838; the official who was tasked with this execution, however, was almost immediately dismissed.
A priest, Father Ignatius Delgado, was captured in the village of Can Lao (Nam Định Province), put in a cage on public display for ridicule and abuse, and died of hunger and exposure while waiting for execution; the officer and soldiers that captured him were greatly rewarded (about 3 kg of silver was distributed out to all of them), as were the villagers that had helped to turn him over to the authorities. The bishop Dominic Henares was found in Giao Thuy district of Nam Dinh (later executed); the villagers and soldiers that participated in his arrest were also greatly rewarded (about 3 kg of silver distributed). The priest, Father Joseph Fernandez, and a local priest, Nguyen Ba Tuan, were captured in Kim Song, Nam Dinh; the provincial officials were promoted, the peasants who turned them over were given about 3 kg of silver and other rewards were distributed. In July 1838, a demoted governor attempting to win back his place did so successfully by capturing the priest Father Dang Dinh Vien in Yen Dung, Bac Ninh province. (Vien was executed). In 1839, the same official captured two more priests: Father Dinh Viet Du and Father Nguyen Van Xuyen (also both executed).
In Nhu Ly near Hue, an elderly catholic doctor named Simon Hoa was captured and executed. He had been sheltering a missionary named Charles Delamotte, whom the villagers had pleaded with him to send away. The village was also supposed to erect a shrine for the state-cult, which the doctor also opposed. His status and age protected him from being arrested until 1840, when he was put on trial and the judge pleaded (due to his status in Vietnamese society as both an elder and a doctor) with him to publicly recant; when he refused he was publicly executed.
Many officials preferred to avoid execution because of the threat to social order and harmony it represented, and resorted to use of threats or torture in order to force Christians to recant. Many villagers were executed alongside priests according to mission reports. The emperor died in 1841, and this offered respite for Christians. However, some persecution still continued after the new emperor took office. Christian villages were forced to build shrines to the state cult. The missionary Father Pierre Duclos (quoted above) died in prison in after being captured on the Saigon river in June 1846. The boat he was traveling in, unfortunately contained the money that was set for the annual bribes of various officials (up to 1/3 of the annual donated French mission budget for Cochinchina was officially allocated to 'special needs') in order to prevent more arrests and persecutions of the converts; therefore, after his arrest, the officials then began wide searches and cracked down on the Christian communities in their jurisdictions. The amount of money that the French mission societies were able to raise, made the missionaries a lucrative target for officials that wanted cash, which could even surpass what the imperial court was offering in rewards. This created a cycle of extortion and bribery which lasted for years.
Saint Vincent Liem Le Duang.
He was born into the Christian community of Thong-Dong in 1731. From a young age he showed great devotion and ability. He was sent to the Philippines at the age of fifteen and took the habit in 1753. After completing his studies at the University of St. Thomas, he was ordained priest and returned to his native land. As he could speak Vietnamese he started his apostolate immediately. He spent the next fourteen years ministering to Christian communities, teaching at the seminary of Trung-Linh and preaching in the non-Christian areas.
From 1767 the Church in Vietnam came under attack from the authorities. Vincent nevertheless continued to proclaim the Gospel openly, regardless of the obstacles and threats. He was captured in 1773, beaten and imprisoned. He was placed in a cage and displayed like a wild animal. However the local Mandarin believed that this ritual humiliation would not help the authorities’ attempt to crush the Christian religion. Vincent was released from his cage and allowed to walk about the prison. He took advantage of his relative liberty and preached the Gospel to his fellow prisoners and all who would come to listen. This status was short lived and he was put back in his cage and taken to Hanoi and the Imperial Court.
At the Court the Emperor arranged a disputation between Vincent, a Buddhist, a Confucian and a Taoist. His reasoning, clarity and elegance, in defending the true faith, left a deep impressio, so much so that an Imperial Prince declared the superiority of Christianity. However Vincent’s fate was decided after a stormy dialogue with the Queen Mother. He was sentenced to death and was beheaded on the 7th of November 1773.
The persecutions of the Vietnamese Church continue. In 1975, the exodus of Vietnamese friars would result in the formation of a new vicariate outside their motherland: the Vicariate of St Vincent Liem. Every day, the brothers of the vicariate, pray for the conversion of Vietnam, through the intercession of St. Vincent.

September 4, 2018 Antifa Terrorists Forming 'Red Army': Call For Civil War - Quote Biggest Mass Murderer Of 20th Century As If He Were A Saint - Deep State Tools Also Call For Conservatives To Be 'Bombarded From All Sides'
Tumblr media Tumblr media
By Stefan Stanford - All News Pipeline - Live Free Or Die Two very important stories came across our radar this weekend that led to this story. In the first from Spiked-Online titled "Now We Know: The 'Resistance' Is The Establishment", they perfectly illustrate for us America's present day situation where people like Barack Obama, Hillary and Bill Clinton and George Bush endlessly trash talk President Trump at John McCain's funeral (finally!) while considering themselves 'the resistance' according to this New Yorker story. Yet going back decades, they were THE establishment! The second story, which ties in perfectly with the first, from The Truth About Guns, was titled "The Violent Left Says They Want A Civil War: Antifa Forming A 'Red Army'" within which they take a look at one possible glimpse of the future with one group that has sprung up that is supporting the Obama/Bush/Clinton establishment actually having the nerve to call themselves 'anti-fascists' when they resort to fascist tactics to silence their critics. And as the Truth About Guns story tells us, now they're arming up for war. The Truth About Guns story references this story over at Red Guards Austin titled "Oppose The Counterfeits: Antifa Must Take On A Paramilitary Character!" which argues: Let’s look at the event from a military perspective. Many from the right-wing side, including the fascists, were well armed and equipped. While this makes them dangerous, their tactical strength is overshadowed by their strategic weakness. All their weapons and their fighting condition mean absolutely nothing without support from the broad masses of people. Regardless of their current lack of popularity a fascist populist movement is still a threat and backward elements of society are moved to become fascists during economic crisis. This is the main reason why we oppose fascist’s presence or any attempts on their part to organize. Our principle is that when you go against a class enemy you hit him—that if you do not hit him he will not fall. The fact that no fascists were harmed in the making of this “counter-protest” only proves that the main organizers have no stomach for antifascism—for us antifascism is concrete—it does not mean simply voicing a disagreement it means stopping fascists in their tracks and hurting their efforts to the point where they stop organizing. On the basis of our principled united front work, fascists and their collaborators can be drowned out, run out, routed, beaten bloody, and even annihilated. These are our principles and we aim to hold them to the very finish. If you think the remarks from the Red Guard Austin, Texas sound just like something a fascist would do, attempting to silence their opposition by using force, you're not the only one.   And as we see from the next excerpt below taken from the 'antifa' story, they actually reference Mao Zedong who carried out a mass genocide upon tens of millions, killing landlords and redistributing land to peasants, almost just as we're seeing in South Africa today. And while none of us really like 'landlords', the fact that Zedong had nearly 20 million slaughtered, with some saying he killed more than 65 million, and antifa is referencing him as if he is some kind of saint is alarming. From their story.: What does antifascist unity look like? It is time for Austin to stand up, to shake off bad leadership trying to impose itself on antifascism and come together under a better model of actual resistance and not token performance. When we organize and lead actions the fascists do not march every step they take is met with physical confrontation and they are bombarded from all sides. We are willing to work with, and accomplish temporary unity with anyone who can be united with; we simply will not liquidate our leadership behind anti-communists, Democrats or social-democrats. Antifascism is in and of itself neither Socialist nor Communist but it must not be Anti-Communist. Communist leadership of a united front must not be liquidated. According to Chairman Mao: “Capitulationism must be strenuously opposed. When we make concessions, fall back, turn to the defensive or halt our advance in our relations with either allies or enemies, we should always see these actions as part of our whole revolutionary policy, as an indispensable link in the general revolutionary line, as one turn in a zigzag course. In a word, they are positive.” That is, our collaborations with those who genuinely wish to defeat fascism must not come at the expense of our own ability to fight fascism, or our ability to grow and expand strategically. While understanding the need for certain tactical unity against fascism we understand that antifascism is just one part of our overall revolutionary work. We will not change our color as Communists; we will not liquidate our program or allow cessation of ideological and political struggle. While we will unite first, we will not fail to criticize second. Those who are worthy of the sharpest criticism are the very same ones who frame any and all critique as a personal attack and cannot self-criticize. On September 2nd on ANP, Susan Duclos put out a story titled "What The Heck Is Going On At CNN? They Are Now Promoting Violence And Claiming Antifa Is 'Perceived As An African-American Organization,' Which Is Fake News" within which she broke down for us several different recent attempts by CNN anchor people to paint Antifa as not only an 'African American' organization but justifying antifa violence against President Trump supporters because 'antifa is on the side of what is right'. Actually going so far as to claim that there is a distinction between violence carried out by antifa and that carried out by President Trump supporters, we get an outstanding breakdown of CNN's attempt to justify antifa violence against law-abiding President Trump supporters in the first video below. Mixing clips from a recent CNN show segment in which they attempted to 'normalize' antifa violence against so-called 'white supremacists' by claiming 'fascism' must be stopped now with many antifa members claiming violence is absolutely necessary to do so, as Susan pointed out within her story, CNN and the mainstream media rarely report upon white antifa violence carried out upon black or gay President Trump supporters because that would destroy their narrative. Yet as our videographer tells us within his video, if we continue along the same track that we are on, with more and more members of antifa calling for arming up and violent resistance, there may be nothing that can stop a civil war from breaking out in this country in the months or year ahead. And as our videographer tells us, that may be exactly what 'the resistance' at the top, Obama, Clinton, and the Democratic party, want and need, to get rid of President Trump and bring back their slowly crumbling 'new world order'. With antifa and 'the resistance' quite literally backing the outgoing establishment as the previously mentioned Spiked-Online story reports, must it also be true that Conservatives are the new 'counter culture' as Paul Joseph Watson from Infowars has argued and Canada Free Press reported within this February of 2017 story? So we'll close with this excerpt from the Spiked-Online story.: So now we know what ‘the resistance’ really is. It’s the establishment. It’s the old political order. It’s that late 20th-century political set, those out-of-touch managerial elites, who still cannot believe the electorate rejected them. That is the take-home message of the bizarre political spectacle that was the burial of John McCain, where this neocon in life has been transformed into a resistance leader in death: that while the anti-Trump movement might doll itself up as rebellious, and even borrow its name from those who resisted fascism in Europe in the mid 20th-century, in truth it is primarily about restoring the apparently cool, expert-driven rule of the old elites over what is viewed as the chaos of the populist Trump / Brexit era. The response to McCain’s death has bordered on the surreal. The strangest aspect has been the self-conscious rebranding of McCain as a searing rebel. In death, this key establishment figure in the Republican Party, this military officer, senator, presidential candidate and enthusiastic backer of the exercise of US military power overseas, has been reimagined as a plucky battler for all that is good against a wicked, overbearing political machine. ‘John McCain’s funeral was the biggest resistance meeting yet’, said a headline in the New Yorker, alongside a photo of George W Bush, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Al Gore, and soldiers from the US Army, the most powerful military machine on Earth. This is ‘the resistance’ now: the former holders of extraordinary power, the invaders of foreign nations, the Washington establishment. In the 2nd and final video below, our videographer takes a long look at antifa, their fascist tactics and what he believes is their overall purpose, to destroy anything related to Western civilization, with many antifa clearly not understanding that what they're doing is the work of fascists and the outgoing establishment.

The Black Book of Communism:
The Black Book of Communism: Crimes, Terror, Repression is a 1997 book by Stéphane Courtois, Andrzej Paczkowski, Nicolas Werth and several other European academics[note 1] documenting a history of political repression by Communist states, including genocides, extrajudicial executions, deportations, killing populations in labor camps and artificially-created famines. The book was originally published in France as Le Livre noir du communisme: Crimes, terreur, répression by Éditions Robert Laffont. In the United States, it was published by Harvard University Press,[1]:217 with a foreword by Martin Malia. The German edition, published by Piper Verlag, includes a chapter written by Joachim Gauck. The introduction was written by Courtois. Historian François Furet was originally slated to write the introduction, but he was prevented from doing so by his death.
In the first chapter of the book entitled "Introduction: The Crimes of Communism", Stéphane Courtois states that "Communist regimes turned mass crime into a full-blown system of government" and are responsible for a greater number of deaths than Nazism or any other political system. Courtois also states that "Communism, the defining characteristic of the 'short twentieth century' that began in Sarajevo in 1914 and ended in Moscow in 1991, finds itself at center states in the story. Communism predated fascism and Nazism, outlived both, and left its mark on four continents".[8]:2 Courtois then goes on to explain what is meant by the term Communism in the book. Courtois states that "[w]e must make a distinction between the doctrine of communism and its practice. As a political philosophy, communism has existed for centuries, even millennia".[8]:2 Courtois cites Plato's Republic and Thomas Moore as communist examples of what he terms utopian philosophy. However, Courtois states that "the Communism that concerns us does not exist in the transcendent sphere of ideas. This Communism is altogether real; it has existed at key moments of history and in particular countries, brought to life by its famous leaders", citing Fidel Castro, Jacques Duclos, Vladimir Lenin, Georges Marchais, Ho Chi Minh, Joseph Stalin and Maurice Thorez as examples
The number of people killed by the Communist governments amounts to more than 94 million.[8]:4 The statistics of victims include deaths through executions, man-made hunger, famine, war, deportations and forced labor. The breakdown of the number of deaths is given as follows:
65 million in the People's Republic of China
20 million in the Soviet Union
2 million in Cambodia
2 million in North Korea
1.7 million in Ethiopia
1.5 million in Afghanistan
1 million in the Eastern Bloc
1 million in Vietnam
150,000 in Latin America
10,000 deaths "resulting from actions of the international Communist movement and Communist parties not in power"

Removing Statues of Violent Bigots? Start with Che
Image Credit: Alberto Diaz Gutierrez Public Domain
Rosario is Argentina’s second oldest city. Located by the Paraná river, it is the home of hard-working people, a busy port, the national flag memorial, and the country’s bitterest football rivalry between Rosario Central and Newell’s Old Boys.
It is also the birthplace of Ernesto “Ché” Guevara.
In the last fifteen years or so, coincidentally with the rise of leftist populism in Argentina and the rest of South America, there have been plenty of tributes to the figure of “Ché.” All of these tributes are state-financed, one way or another. The most prominent is a 13-foot high statue placed in a public square.
Fundación Bases has its main headquarters in Rosario. Teaming up with the Naumann Foundation, we decided to launch a campaign to remove all the state tributes to “Ché” Guevara. We knew this would generate controversy but, honestly, we didn’t expect the level of reaction that has occurred.
About the Man
So, who was this “Ché” Guevara? Ernesto Guevara de la Serna, globally known as “Ché”, came from an aristocratic, though impoverished, family. He studied medicine and when he was about to finish university he took an initiatory trip across Latin America. In some of the places he visited he saw harsh realities and even exploitation. This part of his life made it to the big screen, starred by then Latin sensation Gael García Bernal.
Nonetheless, he wasn’t a communist yet. As Juan José Sebreli explains, he was more of the adventurous type, looking for a cause, whatever cause this might be. In fact, he was planning to go to Europe when he met the Castro brothers in Mexico in 1955. He joined them and become a revolutionary for the “liberation” of Cuba.
Under the command of Fidel Castro, “Ché” achieved his only military victory. All his other revolutionary adventures were disastrous and eventually got him killed. However, during the Cuban struggle, he quickly became known for his ruthlessness and violence. He executed many, both during the conflict and after the revolutionaries got into power. He not only precisely described how he blew some poor bastard’s brains out but also acknowledged at the United Nations General Assembly that his government executed many and would continue executing as long as it was “necessary.”
He was also responsible for the opening of the first Cuban concentration camp – where homosexuals and Christians were tortured and re-educated.
What is more, he believed hate was the most powerful force and was an admirer of Joseph Stalin.
As a public official, he was president of Cuba’s central bank and minister of industry. In both roles, he failed miserably. As central banker, he basically destroyed the Cuban peso – which for many decades had been at parity with the US dollar. As industry planner, his administration was so chaotic that they even bought snow removal machines for a Caribbean country like Cuba.
The regime “Ché” helped established in Cuba is one of the most authoritarian in the world. Since the triumph of the revolution in 1959, more than 10,000 have been killed, 80,000 have died at sea trying to escape the island, and 1.5 million have had to forcefully migrate.
Remove All Tributes to ‘Ché’
With all this in mind, Fundación Bases launched the campaign “Remove all tributes to ‘Ché’ Guevara.” We are asking the city government to eliminate the plethora of state tributes that have mushroomed in the last fifteen years.
We know it will be difficult to achieve this because the same politicians who started this “Ché” industry are still in power. But we also know we are starting a conversation and a necessary debate.
We want kids who wear “Ché” T-Shirts to know that he’s not an article of fashion but a cold killing machine. Wearing a T-Shirt with his face is the same as wearing one with Stalin, Mao or Hitler.
Moreover, we want to explain to the people in our city that this “Ché” cult is a falsification of history. The local authorities who have raised him to the level of pagan saint neglect to mention his well-documented crimes but also that he has done nothing for Argentina. In fact, he only lived in Rosario until the age of one.
What Fundación Bases stands for is classical liberalism. And classical liberalism is the anti-Ché. We believe in cooperation between individuals and nations, free trade, and peace. As our Executive Director Franco López put it in an interview with Colombian media, “we are for human rights for everybody, regardless of their political ideology.”
Many Friends and Some Foes
Immediately after being launched, the campaign picked up the attention of local media. And in July Jack Aldwinckle wrote a half-page article in The Economist.
After the article, media attention skyrocketed. From then on, basically, all major newspapers, radios shows, and TV channels in the country have covered the campaign. For example, in “La Nación” – the most traditional nation-wide newspaper in Argentina – our article was the most read of the day.
And that’s not all. We also caught the attention of international media like “La Razón” (Spain), “El Mercurio” (Chile), “El Comercio” (Perú), “Radio Marti” (Miami), just to name a few.
Definitely, one the campaign’s highlights is the help we have received by like-minded institutions and people. Great guys like Bob Murphy, Gustavo Lazzari, Javier Milei, Steve Horwitz, Roberto Cachanosky, Marcelo Duclos. And also think tanks like Libertad y Progreso, Atlas Network, Austrian Economics Center, Independent Institute, Relial, Mises Hispano, Instituto Juan de Mariana, and so on.
The general public reaction towards our campaign has been spectacular. Our posts on social media are highly retweeted and shared. Roughly 65 percent of the social media comments have been in favor of our view. What’s more, our online petition has received thousands of signatures.
Of course, it would have been impossible to escape some leftist hysterical reactions. We have been called all names you can imagine, from “neoliberals” to “neonazis.”
We have received death threats and some very sick wishes. For instance, a commenter on Facebook called for the arrival of a communist dictatorship to make us all disappear.
“Ché” Guevara could not have said it better.

Ebu Turhan Asıl korkutucu an zafer anıdır. Napolyon Bonapart Gerçek zaferler kan dökülmeden kazanılan zaferlerdir. Pittacus of Mytilene Ölüm nereden ve nasıl gelirse gelsin ... Savaş sloganlarımız kulaktan kulağa yayılacaksa ve silahlarımız elden ele geçecekse ve başkaları top tüfek sesleriyle, savaş ve zafer sesleriyle cenazelerimizde ağıt yakacaksa ölüm hoş geldi, sefa geldi ... Ernesto Che Guevara Zafer iradeden ibarettir. Napolyon Bonapart Zafer zafer değildir, yenilen düşman yenildiğini kabul etmezse. Matthias Claudius Zafere ilave edilecek tek süs alçakgönüllülüktür. Charles Pinot Duclos Zafer coşkusunu hissetmek için zorlukları kabul edin. George S. Patton
Yenilgiden her şeyi öğrenebilirsiniz. Christy Mathewson Bir plan olmadan, saldırı olmaz. Saldırı olmadan zafer kazanılmaz. Curtis Armstrong Zafer her şeydir. Parayı harcayabilirsiniz, ancak anıları asla harcayamazsınız. Ken Venturi Günaha karşı direnmenin her anı bir zaferdir. Frederick William Faber Yeterince yaşarsanız, her zaferin bir yenilgi haline geldiğini göreceksiniz. Simone de Beauvoir Aslında, zafer anı harika, aynı zamanda üzücü. Bu, yolculuğunuzun bittiği anlamına gelir. Bill Toomey Arkadaşlara teslim olduğunda zafer kazanırsın. Sofokles Başarısız olma ihtimali yoksa zafer anlamsızdır. Robert H. Schuller Yenilginin yanı sıra zaferin de dersi vardır. Pat Buchanan Kazanabileceğini düşünüyorsan, kazanabilirsin. Zafer için inanç gereklidir. William Hazlitt İnsanlar hemen zaferin ötesine bakmaya ihtiyaç duyuyorlar ... Daimi zaferler yoktur. Phil Gingrey Zafer kısa sürüyor. Kaybetmek sonsuza dek. Shatrujeet Nath

Khaite 'Diletta Cashmere Sweater' - $1,100.00
I personally love the combination of pieces - especially the spring-like temperature combination of light sweater + short skirt. Plus that shade of pastel blue is v on trend atm. Though for a personal copy + paste, I’d opt for a burgundy or black sweater as a moody tone / dark neutrals kind of girl.
All in - it sure is just nice to see her isn’t it?
Worn with: Joseph Duclos bag, Sandy Liang skort, and Reformation loafers
Get the look: Fate, $72.32
