Enter the atlantic spotted dolphin. Not only are they super friendly and playful, but they are gorgeous to boot! These nonhuman intellectuals can be found year round in the Bahamas and are almost always excited to see and swim with us humans. These beautiful iconic rhinoceros once roamed our planet in huge numbers! Illegal wildlife poaching has reduced these creatures numbers to endangered and will most likely some of their species will be extinct within our life times! One was even killed and horn removed inside a zoo in 2017. I'm very proud to be the original supporter of The Hawksbill Project of Palm Beach County, run by Larry Wood. Nearly all species of sea turtle are classified as Endangered. Slaughtered for their eggs, meat, skin and shells, sea turtles suffer from poaching and over-exploitation. They also face habitat destruction and accidental capture in fishing gear. Climate change has a negative impact on turtle nesting sites as well.
