I was just exploring the idea of Kiara’s nine lives as Autumn running out but she and Jack are able to meet up again in another time where they are just teens. Then I realized how cruel I can be to take her away from him in the first place…

And she will cherish the memory for every one of her nine lives. The black cat of Halloween, the secret keeper of falling leaves. She remembers her lives and remembers her deaths. She whispers to the spirits, and guides them home for a night. Her colors change with the trees, her touch turns them to autumn. Fire answers to her, and dances to her song.

Then winter comes… she may rest in his loving arms. ❄️🍁

I’m so normal about this but… I headcanon that Jack is extra fluffy after a nap and Kiara is an absolute tyrant with a camera. And Nevermore needs his closeup at all times.

CONTEXT:::

Teenage couple responsible for heavy traffic due to the escape of nine wild reindeer, possibly believed by local children to belong to Santa Claus himself.

Kiara: more concerned with the quality of her picture and where the hell those reindeer have ended up… and how to explain them to North

Jack: very willingly giving his best side (which is every side) but also aware that his gf will be getting even very soon. And North knows his reindeer are missing…

I’m yours, and you are mine.

This is just one of the many betrothals concepts I have imagined for Kiara and Jack. With a white veil, and the moon shining above. And flowers upon the both of them, to symbolize their eternal youth and coexistence with the natural world…

The almighty being of Autumn, fear her.

As I wait for the time to do winter themed art… I have become obsessed with the idea of Kiara and Jack as a talented competitive figure skating duo that may or may not share romantic feelings for one another. Certainly, they would be best friends… but Truthfully, I think Jack might fall first while Kiara tries to keep things professional between them, for the sake of their friendship and performance. But she loves him… she just doesn’t know how much yet.

As a Guardian, Jack is very protective of Kiara. He will keep her ✨safe✨

Drawing this, I found myself thinking about how much Jack Frost needs this kind of love in his life. And how much it changes Kiara should she be the one showing it.

And I wonder about Jacks mental state for 300 or so years before he became a fully fledged guardian. Would he have suppressed anger, or pain, or resentment towards himself for the damage his season brings to the world. Would there ever be a possibility for him to turn cold and heartless, sending the world into the worst Ice Age of all time?

Obviously it doesn’t fit his fun loving, big brother type of personality… but it’s a real part of the natural world, which could imply a darker side to his power. (Or maybe not… I’m just speculating here.)

Winter is a magical season, but it’s also deadly, and often scary. And Jack is technically responsible for all of it. I only wonder if he has confronted this side of him and how would he handle it. Would it be a haunting voice in his head or does he brush it off? I don’t know. But I would loveeeee to see a moment of Jack Frost where he finally breaks down in the arms of someone who might understand what it’s like. And maybe, that might help to avoid his own downfall.

Kiara on the other hand, does not have the same love for mortals, and would be less convinced to trust them. She might even dislike Jack for a some time knowing that he spends so much time around them. Long story short, their love story is one of those rival to lovers tropes, but I feel that her deeper understanding of the darkness in the world would enlighten Jack on his uneasiness with the colder side of him. On top of that, I can see her genuinely comforting him when he has moments of doubt or sadness, not as his lover or just because… but as his companion. His best friend even.

And Jack is the perfect individual to help her to see the light again, while she may be able to help him make sense of those more sinister feelings inside him.
