So remember what I said about giving Jeff a heel turn if he were ever able to return to AEW last wednesday? Well, Imma just add some more ways as to how I would like it to play out, cause why not? Family angst for everyone! Hooray! 🎉

Remember what I said about Jeff attacking Matt when they supposedly reunite? Well, let's say that after going through with said attack (whether it'd be a chair, kendo stick, twist of fate, what have you) Jeff decides to add salt to the wound by tossing away the iconic necklace he always wears for Matt to find whenever he comes to, leaving it behind and basically tossing away what was technically his namesake, and slowly begins to strip himself away from anything involving the Hardy name, week by week, even going so far as to be addressed as Jeffrey Nero for his ring name (not to be confused with Brother Nero obviously)

So eventually, he gets on an interview with Tony Schiavone and says something along the lines of this...

"I find it funny, really, how family, the ones who supposedly love you the most, ironically turn out to be the exact same ones who enable you the most; doesn't matter whether they're unaware of it or otherwise... at least to me."

Now, would that sting like hell? Of course it would. Is it because it's somewhat true...? Well, I'd just leave that for interpretation. 🥲

As you can see, I like to spread emotional damage. Now, usually I'm very much against using personal struggles like substance abuse and alcoholism in storylines just for some shock value, but I think if you put more emphasis on Matt desperately trying to get Jeff back and sucessfully repair the "unbreakable" brotherhood the Hardy Boyz used to be known for, rather than just putting the main focus on Jeff's personal struggles alone like a certain company does... we might actually have something special here. ✨️

Jeffrey Nero Hardy, the Charismatic Enigma is back in the ring and back on the sober path. He did his 30 days in rehab and is doing well so far.

He's had to look at himself to see what may have led him to this place and he and his brother realized a long time ago that losing their mother did a number on both of them, but seemingly worse on Jeff.

He's always been quiet but comes out of his shell more around people he's comfortable with, like fellow wrestlers. He's known for his daredevil, high flying style. He's also an artist and a musician.

He's single and not sure if he's looking for a relationship at the moment, worried he'd just mess up.

Just woke up. Can’t say I’m surprised but I’m heartbroken.

Just as I’ve shit in WWE, I’m going to shit in AEW if I see Jeff Hardy remain in their employ without serious conditions/a sincere effort to get help. The man needs no more enabling and, as much as I love the performer, Jeffrey Nero Hardy needs to be url accountable.

Can we stop with blaming anyone in the Hardy household for what happened to Jeff? At the end of the day, Jeff is not only an addict but A GROWN ASS MAN. If he relapsed then guess what? That was his own fucking fault! He made the decision to not only drink until he was shitfaced at the early hours of the morning, but he made the STUPID AS FUCK decision to get behind the wheel and drive recklessly where he could’ve killed himself or others and THANK GOD he didn’t. Which he’s done MULTIPLE TIMES might I add and we all keep sending him our prayers that he’ll get the help he needs, only for him to fuck up again later. I am a huge fan of Jeff Hardy and have been for years. I adore the man to death, but it’s because I care about the man as a fan that I’m also angry as fuck with him! It’s more than obvious Jeff has bigger demons than we realize, but is it honestly enough to where just a 90 day program is gonna help him? No. The man needs to spend time behind bars. TK should’ve fired him. But all Jeff is getting is a slap on the wrist just as he has before and he knows what he can get away with BECAUSE he’s baby face Jeff Hardy. It shouldn’t have to take someone getting seriously hurt or worse for everyone to wake up and realize that Jeffrey Nero Hardy is being a selfish asshole and he NEEDS real help, not just thoughts and prayers.
