JEAN:

As soon as you free your schedule for the remainder of the afternoon, you hurry towards the mansion's library where you anticipate to meet Jean. He told you earlier today that he plans to spend some time reading in there - naturally, you can't want to be around him.

As soon as the door creaks open, you're able to spot him sitting at a nearby table, and despite your delicate entrance, he registers your presence right away. A smile of adoration blooms on your face the moment you notice how he marks his row with the thumb of his hand before raising his gaze to meet yours.

"You're here. I'm glad that you could make it."

Letting him know that the feeling is mutual along with your own greeting, you approach Jean and sit next to him, just like that, empty-handed. It takes you a few seconds to realize that you're acting out of habit, preparing yourself to listen to Jean read out to you, to guide him if needed, to talk about the story in the book and what you two should pick next. But he doesn't need that anymore, does he? Here he is, a good amount of pages already flipped under his resting palm. Your heart fills with pride.

You take a look at the pile of books on the table, likely ones he checked out before deciding on a read for the day, and you do the same. Jean watches you with a bit of curiosity in his eye as you make yourself more comfortable and gradually sink into the world inside the pages.

Soon, you can sense him relaxing as well. He must be enjoying it as much as you do - to be joining him in his reading session like that, something that was once foreign to him. You want to show him so much more; to explore new hobbies along with him, to find yourselves in each other's company doing your own thing but together. You love him just like that.

Ikemen Vampire - Jean x Vincent x Reader

You loved having a place where you and your boyfriends could be alone. With how chaotic the mansion was, it was good to escape such a nosy crowd. Although you went there more often when the flowers were in bloom, which usually coincided with the best weather for picnics.

That was what you and your boyfriends had planned for that afternoon. You found yourself lying on Jean’s lap under the shadow of a tree. He was reading a book aloud, but you found it hard to pay attention when his other hand caressed your hair, almost lulling you to sleep.

“Vincent is late.” You commented, rubbing your eyes to try to keep yourself awake.

The picnic was set, but you were waiting on Vincent, who told you he just had something to finish and would join you.

“He said he had something to do in town.”

You looked up at Jean, surprised by the news. That explained his absence, but you heard nothing about him going to town.

“Maybe he needed something to finish his latest project. He’s been so secretive about it. Vincent has never kept us from seeing an unfinished painting before.”

“He’ll share it when he is ready. Be patient.” Jean told you, smiling.

You smiled back, happy to see how comfortable Jean had become in his relationship with you and Vincent, despite the tough start of your relationship.

“A mystery just makes me more curious.” You laughed softly, prying his hand from your head to intertwine your fingers with his. “It’s not like there are any important dates ahead for it to be a gift.”

“I told him we could have a picnic another day if he was busy, but he insisted.”

It was somewhat unlike Vincent. He didn’t like inconveniencing you, but he would otherwise tell you to go ahead without him, even if it was for you to deny it.

Then you felt Jean shift and sat up in time to see Vincent arrive, carrying a covered painting. He waved at you with such a bright smile that it looked like he hadn’t seen you in years, rather than a few hours. Although you had actually spent very little time together while he was painting.

You waved back, then stood up to go meet him, with Jean following you, but Vincent gestured for you to wait.

When he reached where you were, Vincent carefully set the painting down on the picnic blanket and hushed to pull both of you for a tight hug, and when he pulled away, each of you were treated to a deep kiss.

“Vincent?” Jean asked, rubbing his back.

“I missed you. I know we saw each other sometimes, but it wasn’t enough. I wanted so much to show you what I was working on, but I also wanted it to be a surprise.” Vincent finally pulled away, his smile faltering just a little. “I hope this will be a good surprise.”

“Nothing from you could be anything but.” Jean told Vincent, caressing his cheek.

“That’s how in love we are with you.” You added, kissing his cheek. “We would love to see your surprise if you’re ready to show us.”

“Go ahead.” He motioned to the painting, his smile again as bright as the sun. In fact, he looked almost giddy, which only made you more excited to see it. You looked at Jean, and he nodded with a soft smile, gently taking your hand and guiding you to sit on the edge of the blanket. “I usually paint things as I see them, but this one is more like… something that’s been on my mind for some time now.”

You propped the canvas against the picnic basket and carefully removed the cloth covering it.

It was a painting of a church decked for a wedding, in white with golden details and bouquets of lilies and sunflowers. At the altar, bathed in sunlight, stood a bride and two grooms in a private ceremony. Some would say lonely, but you could feel the happiness of that silent moment.

Fighting the tears pooling at the corners of your eyes, you turned to look at Vincent behind you, not a bit surprised but no less emotional when he knelt down with a shy smile, showing you the contents of the little box in his hand.

“I know we can’t exactly have a proper wedding, but I wanted us to have this, at least. It would make me the happiest to be your eternal fiancé, if you would have me.”

Not trusting yourself to speak, you nodded, offering him your hand so he could slip the ring on your finger. Then he kissed your hand, first just below the ring, then on the back.

“I would have no other.” You managed to whisper, whipping away the tears you couldn’t contain.

With a last smile to you, also looking very emotional, Vincent turned to Jean, who had turned around but looked astonished, as if he still couldn’t process what was happening.

“And yours, too.” Vincent’s voice quivered as he pulled another ring box from his pocket. “The two of you are the lights of my life, and I will love both of you for as long as I live.”

Jean finally managed to push through his shock and smile at Vincent.

“You are the lights of my life.” He said back. “Without you, I would still be lost in the dark. And although sometimes it still surprises me that the two of you would want me, it would be my honor to have this bond with you.” As Vincent put the ring on Jean’s finger, it was Jean who pulled him to place a soft kiss on the back of Vincent’s hand. “In fact, I planned to ask you myself, after you were finished with your work.” Jean’s reached to hold your hand too.

“I guess, in our situation, two rings make more sense than one.” You had been thinking of getting them anyway. The two of them only beat you to it. “Although I guess that could raise some awkward questions.”

“Let them.” Jean spoke, to your surprise. Your relationship being something most people considered wrong was something he still struggled a little with. Him being the one to step in to reassure you showed how secure he had become. “It is our relationship. Their opinion should mean nothing. And for the wedding, it diesn’t have to be something traditional.” Jean cast a soft gaze towards Vincent’s painting. “We could have something private. Maybe here?”

But you knew that, out of all of you, Jean was the one who cared the most about having a proper wedding. Vincent seemed to know too, because he lowered his gaze and spoke slowly.

“Are you sure? You know, I wouldn’t mind if the two of you had a proper wedding. It won’t change our relationship.”

Jean turned to look back at him and gently tipped his chin up so Vincent would look at him.

“I won’t get married if it’s not to both my partners.” He spoke firmly, but his smile was gentle, and he moved to caress Vincent’s cheek while tightening his hold on your hand.

“We are not.” You agreed. “It would be nice if we could have this together, but, as you said, it won’t change our relationship. I like Jean’s idea, but if you really want, I know how we can have something closer to a traditional wedding. Someone who could maybe be convinced to help. We don’t have to decide now, anyway. What about focusing on our time together? And later, maybe we can plan our engagement party.”

“You’re right. I would rather focus on the time I finally have with my fiances.” Vincent kissed each of you. “Whatever happens from now on, I love both of you. Forever.”

“This is nice.” Jean smiled as you sipped your drinks – hot mulled wine – by the fire.

Jean was right. It was nice. After a delicious dinner and dessert celebrating Jean's birthday, you and Jean had somehow found yourselves alone in the great room.

By chance or some small miracle, everyone in the mansion had plans after dessert. Not that you had any complaints. This was your fifth birthday with Jean. And while that number was small and meaningless in the life of a vampire, to a human like yourself, it held far more meaning.

When you really thought about it, five years passed by quite fast. One day, you were teaching Jean how to read, and the next you were teaching him how best to pleasure you.

In a mansion with a dozen residents, it was rare to have a quiet evening alone. And for it to be on Jean's birthday, it was a true gift.

“Happy Birthday, Jean,” you whispered, pressing a kiss to his cheek. Pulling back, you smiled as his cheeks tinged with pink. Still, after all this time, Jean's innocence was still visible. Even when you were alone together.

Placing your drink on the table, you pulled a blanket to cover your bodies; you snuggled close to your lover, resting your head on his shoulder.

Jean stroked your hair gently with his long fingers. You didn't have to look up to know his lips were curved in a smile.

It was just one of those things you knew after loving someone for so long.

Headcanons: Residents with a Child!MC

🍷Comte🍷

He's the father figure of the group so he'd be the closest to you. A really good father figure and very protective. Sometimes a little too protective.

Not like you can blame him though. You're just a fragile, tiny human alone so of course you need someone to protect you.

He can be strict whenever you do get into trouble but he doesn't like punishing you too harshly. If you burst into tears at his scolding, his paternal instincts kick in and he'll do whatever he can to comfort you.

🦅Napoleon🦅

Big brother Napo is another one that is very close to you. This guy gives me the impression that he probably loves children. He is also just as protective of you as Comte is.

If something is bothering you, you can come to him for help. Though if it's something you don't want to talk to anyone about, he won't pressure you about it.

Just know if you're ever in need, big brother Napo is there for you. He'll have your back no matter what.

📝Arthur📝

More of an uncle than a brother or father figure but I can see him liking kids.

Most people would say he's not a good role model but I feel like he'd be a good one. Always gives you life advice and is always there to help if you need him.

Of course, he'll be a little hard to win over, especially with a human child. He doesn't like the idea of losing someone he cares about to the passing of time.

🦉Mozart🦉

Mozart doesn't even like the other residents interrupting him so of course he's not going to be going anywhere around you. It's nothing personal, he just prefers to be alone.

If you do end up getting close to Jean though, he may get closer to you as well. He and Jean are close friends so Mozart loves to see Jean start letting more people in.

Also if you're a calm, quiet kid who likes music however, he probably won't mind you sitting in his room as he plays. Hell, he might even teach you how to play. Just don't be too loud, okay?

🐯Jean🐯

Most likely to stay the furthest away from you. It's not that he doesn't like you, oh no it's the opposite really. He absolutely adores you. It's just that he's afraid of hurting you.

It's no secret that Jean doesn't drink as much as he should and you're just so small and fragile. He could easily hurt a child like you if he wasn't careful.

But if you gently break down his walls, he can't run from you forever. He desperately wants to be a big brother to you like Napo but he's not sure if it's possible for him.

🍎Isaac🍎

Doesn't like kids. At least this is what he says. It's just a cover. Between not wanting to accidentally hurt you as well as not wanting you to mess with his work, he's another one who'll probably stay away from you

If you are known for wandering all around the mansion, he'll probably stay locked up in his room unless he absolutely needs something. Otherwise, he'll try to keep to places where you don't go.

He may warm up to you eventually but it'll take a lot longer than it'll take for others since he's as guarded as he is.

🎨Vincent🎨

Kids? He loves kids! Sweet little Vincent is probably the most eager to be around you besides Napo and Comte.

If you're interested in painting, he'll be incredibly happy. He's very helpful with tips and even lets you sit with him as he paints.

He'll be the absolute best big brother you could ever ask for besides Napo. I mean he does have experience being Theo's big brother.

🐶Theodorus🐶

He could pass on dealing with a kid. If Vincent is happy around you, then you're alright. Theo however just isn't too big on kids himself.

He does get a little jealous seeing Vincent being happy around you, but he's also very happy. All he wants is for Vincent to be happy.

Eventually though he'll start to realize that you see them both as older brothers and he'll try to start being as good a big brother to you as Vincent was to him.

🐦Dazai🐦

Did anyone say Uncle Dazai? Again he loves kids but probably isn't the best role model. And he absolutely adores being a big brother to you. Though that doesn't mean you're immune to his antics.

He loves to tease people, and that includes you so don't think he'll leave you alone because you're a child. You and Isaac are his favorites to tease after all.

🐑Sebastian🐑

How much he likes you honestly depends. Like he's probably really stressed from taling care of all the residents and you but if you don't cause him too much stress, he'll adore you.

If he bakes any sewers he'll let you have some fresh from the oven. But too many or you'll spoil your dinner. If Comte is a father figure then Sebastian is kind of like the mom.

He'll always say that you don't need to, but his heart will melt if you help him around the mansion anyway.

🐱Leonardo🐱

As long as you don't mess up his work, Leo doesn't mind having you around. Though if you spot him napping somewhere, you can nap with him. He doesn't mind.

Leo does really enjoy your company, no matter what he's doing and he's generally like a parent to you just like Comte and Sebastian. It's not rare to see you sitting in his lap while he's reading a book to you.
