"Un Par de Empanadillas" ('A Pair of Empanadillas' [a small, savory turnover]) by Javier Mariscal, 1986. This charming little 3-pager is from the second issue of the '80s TBO reboot, and came with a recipe for the titular empanadillas provided by the cartoonist himself.

This was originally printed in orange and black spot colours in a collected volume called Comer which was released in 1985. It included recipes and comics about the chosen dishes from fellow Spanish cartoonists like Micharmut, Max and Miguel Gallardo.

#LaGamba o #Gambrinus es una #escultura de grandes proporciones diseñada por el español i #JavierMariscal. Representa una cigala. La obra, inaugurada en 1989, empezó como un elemento de reclamo para uno de las varios restaurantes del Moll de la Fusta de #Barcelona diseñado por el arquitecto Alfred Arribas, amigo de Mariscal. Cuando terminaron los #eventos de los #juegos, varios bares y restaurantes de la zona tuvieron que cerrar, incluyendo el #restaurante que tenía la obra de #Mariscal. Tras el cierre del local y varios litigios posteriores, la #obra se quedó en el mismo lugar, como pertenencia del #Ayuntamiento de Barcelona, y se convirtió en un #símbolo popular de la remodelación que sufrió la zona costera barcelonesa poco antes de los #Juegos Olímpicos del 92.
