The heaviness of her head was the first thing [Y/N] felt the moment she gained consciousness. Her eyelids fluttered a few times before her eyes fully opened only to close them back the next moment as she found the bright light of the room rather uncomfortable. She slowly opened her eyes again and blinked a few times, adjusting to the light in the room and scanning her surrounding.
Soon, she realized that she was in a hospital room and it didn't take long before she noticed her left leg in a cast. All the memories from the previous night at Mona's birthday party flooded her mind, causing tears to pool in her eyes.
She couldn't believe that A had actually tried to kill her and she was, of course, utterly relieved that the faceless monster hadn't succeeded in their task.
She pressed her head against the pillow and closed her eyes, causing the tears to run down her cheeks.
"[Y/N/N]?" a voice called along with the sound of a door opening.
[Y/N] turned her head in the direction of the familiar voice and through her blurred vision, she recognized the form of her older brother. She blinked a few times to clear her eyes while her brother was already wiping the tears away from her cheeks before cupping them in his hands.
"You're okay, buddy, you're okay," he told her gently. The way he comforted her reminded her of the way he would do so whenever she injured herself when she was younger. His presence alone gave her strength and made her forget the fear that came along with the memory of the accident.
She sniffled before smiling at her brother, "Can you help me sit up, please?"
"Of course, hold on," [y/b/n] replied as he slid his hands underneath her back and gently lifted her into a seating position. Then, while holding her with one of his arm around her shoulders, he arranged the pillows behind her back so that she could sit comfortably. "This okay?"
"Yes, thank you," she sighed and her brother sat next to her, taking her hands in his. "Are Mom and Dad here too?"
"They're actually on their way here as we speak," he answered. "I sent them home last night because I figured they could use some rest."
"You should've gone home too," [Y/N] spoke, scanning the tired features of her brother's face. "Did you get any sleep last night?"
"Sleep was the last thing on any of our minds, buddy," [y/b/n] shook his head, closing his eyes for a brief moment. Thinking back to the previous night, where he had almost lost his baby sister, only brought him complete distress. "Though I sent Mom and Dad home to get some rest, they didn't. All they did was call and text me, asking if you had woken up or not. Besides, there was no way I was leaving you along here while the monster who did this to you is still out there."
"I'm so sorry for worrying all of you," [Y/N] whispered, tears gathering in her eyes again.
"It's not your fault, kiddo," her brother's reply was instant. "But, what happened last night, [y/n/n]? The police told us that it was a hit and run."
"I think that's what happened," [Y/N] answered slowly. Her brother knew her so well and it was very difficult for her to tell him only half of the truth while looking into his eyes. "Hanna and Mona had a small misunderstanding, I guess. Then, Mona disinvited Hanna from her birthday party and well, Hanna snuck in. Aria, Emily, Spencer and I went to meet her in the parking lot. I was crossing the parking lot first to catch up to Hanna when the car came out of nowhere."
"I swear when they catch that monster, I'm going to do everything I can to make sure they stay locked up for a very long time," [y/b/n] muttered, anger lacing his tone.
"[y/b/n]?" [Y/N] called and his eyes instantly softened, looking at her. "I'm okay. I mean, the broken leg sucks but I'm going to be alright."
Her brother smiled at her lovingly at her attempt to comfort him and pulled her into his arms, hugging her close. [Y/N] wrapped her arms around him, feeling safe and protected after the nightmare she just survived.
They were interrupted when there was a knock on the door. The sibling pair pulled away from each other and turned towards the doorway. The door was slowly pushed open and their parents entered the room, making [Y/N] smile instantly. Her parents visibly breathed out in relief at the sight of her before returning her smile.
It wasn’t long before they reached her and gathered in her in their warm embrace. Her brother, meanwhile, stepped back to let the parents have a moment with his little sister.
"You're okay," [y/m/n] whispered, cupping [Y/N]'s cheeks in her hands, her teary eyes scanning over her daughter.
"I’m okay," [Y/N] nodded, her own tears slipping out of her eyes. Her attention turned to her dad when he caressed her hair, his worried gaze set on the wound on her forehead.
"When they find the lowlife who did this to you, I'm gonna kill them," he said quietly.
"[y/b/n] said he's gonna make sure they stay locked up for a long time," [Y/N] said with a chuckle, hoping to lessen her parents' worry over her.
"I guess that's an option too," her dad replied with a shrug, causing [Y/N] to laugh.
Seeing her smile was more than enough for her family and they took her in their loving embrace again, thanking the stars that, despite her injuries, she was alright.
...
It was a little later in the morning and [Y/N]'s mother kept her company. Her dad was out in the hallway on a call while her brother had gone home to freshen up.
Even before the knock came, [Y/N] and her mom both heard familiar voices and the sound of rushed footsteps.
"I wonder who that could be," [y/m/n] said with a teasing smile before moving to open the door. "Hi, girls."
"Hi, Mrs. [y/l/n]," [Y/N] heard her friends greet before she saw them.
"Is [y/n/n] awake? Can we see her?" Hanna asked.
"She is and of course," [y/m/n] replied, opening the door further for her daughter's friends.
[Y/N] smiled when she saw Hanna first and the latter didn't waste a second before moving towards the bed to hug her injured friend carefully.
"You scared me, [y/n/n]," Hanna whispered with a relieved sigh, leaning her head against [Y/N]'s.
"I'm alright, Hanna banana," she replied, rubbing Hanna's back to comfort her.
"I'll give you girls some time," [y/m/n] said, moving to exit the room. "Call me if you need anything, okay? I'll be right out here."
"Of course," Spencer replied. "Thank you, Mrs. [y/l/n]."
[Y/M/N] smiled at them before stepping out of the room and closing the door. Over Hanna's shoulder, [Y/N] passed a smile to her other friends, who returned the gesture and waited patiently. They knew that [Y/N] and Hanna were the closest. The two were friends even before they met Alison and their bond only grew stronger after Ali's disappearance while the rest of them drifted apart.
[Y/N] frowned when she heard Hanna sniffle and pulled back from the hug. Hanna wiped away her tears before looking at [Y/N].
"Han," the injured girl whispered, taking in the blonde's red-rimmed eyes.
"I'm sorry. It's just that you really scared me," replied Hanna.
"No, don't apologize," [Y/N] said back, shaking her head. "I'll be okay, trust me."
Hanna nodded with a small smile and moved aside to let the other girls hug [Y/N]. Once Aria, Emily, and Spencer finished checking up on [Y/N], Hanna was quick to resume her seat next to her best friend.
"Does it hurt?" Emily asked, sitting at the foot of the bed near [Y/N]'s injured leg.
"Yeah, kind of," [Y/N] shrugged and smiled a little as if accepting that the road to recovery was going to be quite long. "So, who is it? Who's A?"
[Y/N] looked at her friends expectantly and frowned when the three girls looked at Hanna in turn.
"Uh, we didn't talk about it last night," Hanna said when [Y/N] looked at her. "I mean, I know who A is but we couldn't focus on it last night without you."
"You guys didn't have to," [Y/N] said softly, feeling touched by her friends' consideration.
"We're in this together, remember?" Aria asked from where she was sitting on [Y/N]'s unoccupied side of the bed.
"Thanks guys," [Y/N] said, squeezing Aria's hand in hers while her other hand was held by Hanna.
"Noel Kahn is A," Hanna blurted, unable to keep it to herself anymore, and her friends gaped at her.
"What?" Emily questioned just as [Y/N] asked, "Are you sure?"
"Yeah," Hanna nodded in confirmation. "I saw him in the woods and he left an A message."
"You actually saw him leave a message?" Spencer repeated, her posture still laced with shock at the revelation of their tormentor.
"He wrote something on the back of a car window," Hanna spoke slowly, a little hesitant this time.
"Do you know what he wrote?" Emily asked.
Hanna remained silent. [Y/N] didn't know if Emily or Spencer noticed it, but she definitely saw Hanna glance at Aria once before looking away.
"I see you," Aria spoke, gaining her friends' attention from Hanna. Her gaze was on the floor as she fiddled with her fingers nervously and the rest of the girls understood that was the message written on the car.
[Y/N] looked at Hanna first and the latter gave an uncomfortable smile. Hanna didn't want to be the one to reveal the second secret she had discovered last night -- it was totally up to Aria as it involved her. [Y/N], then, looked at Spencer and Emily, who looked as equally confused as her.
"How do you know?" Spencer was the first to question Aria.
"I was in the car," Aria replied quietly.
"Whose car was it?" Emily asked next and Aria sucked in a deep breath.
"Ezra Fitz," the petite girl's answer left her friends baffled except for Hanna.
"Wait, Mr. Fitz?" Spencer asked, her voice a little louder in shock. The judgement in her voice was extremely obvious as well. "Our English teacher?"
Aria gave a short nod and the other three girls looked at Hanna, who nodded in confirmation.
"Aria, you and Mr. Fitz?" [Y/N] asked gently, though she was still in disbelief at the idea that one of her best friends was in a relationship with their English teacher.
Aria simply nodded again in response.
"The call you got at the party?" Emily said, her eyes lighting up at the memory from Mona's birthday party. "That was him, wasn't it?"
"Yeah," Aria said with a heavy sigh and finally looked up at her friends. "Guys, I couldn't tell anyone. I promised Ezra."
"Ezra?" Spencer scoffed. "Wait, this is something that's been going on? You and a teacher?"
"I didn't just get into his car last night, Spence," Aria answered, offended. "Who do you think I am?"
"How long have you been seeing him?" Emily asked, sounding calmer and less judgmental compared to Spencer.
"Since before school started," Aria said.
"Since Labor Day?" [Y/N] asked. "That's when you got back from Iceland, right?"
"Yep," Aria confirmed.
"So, you didn't have a boyfriend in Iceland, then?" Hanna asked, her brows furrowed in confusion.
"I- I did," Aria answered, "But, it's not like that."
"And, why did you get into his car last night?" Spencer questioned Aria and the latter looked uncomfortable with all of the questions being thrown at her.
"Spence, look," [Y/N] interrupted with a sigh, rubbing her forehead. Along with her leg, her head was starting to hurt as well with the tension in the room. "Aria's relationship with Mr. Fitz is the least of our concerns right now. We just found out who A is. What are we gonna do?"
"Okay," Spencer breathed out, nodding, and turned to Hanna. "Han, what exactly did you see again?"
"Well, I saw Aria go into the parked car," Hanna said, her gaze falling on [Y/N]'s injured leg subconsciously. "Then, I saw someone in a black hoodie write something on the back of the car window. When the person turned around, it was Noel."
"So, was he the one who ran me over?" [Y/N] asked. "I couldn't really see the driver."
The girls looked at each other, wondering the same.
"I'm not sure," Hanna answered first.
"It was too dark to see the driver," Emily added.
“Guys, it couldn’t have been Noel,” Aria said suddenly.
“Why do you sound so sure about it?” Spencer asked.
“Because, I saw him too. Well, I didn’t see him write on the back of Ezra’s car,” Aria replied. “But, after [y/n/n] was taken to the hospital, I saw him with the rest of the crowd. I don’t think he could’ve hit her, park the car, and then come back to the site of the accident all within a short amount of time.”
“So, are there two A’s?” [Y/N] asked nervously.
“Like, one is Noel who wrote the message on Mr. Fitz’s car and the other that drove me over?”
“I do not like the sound of that,” Hanna said, leaning her head on [Y/N]’s shoulder.
“None of us do, Han,” Spencer sighed.
Later that afternoon, [Y/N] was re-reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets for the nth time when there was a knock on the door of her hospital room.
"Come in," she called and marked the page she was on with her bookmark, leaving the book in her lap for the time being.
Her eyes watched in curiosity as the door slowly opened and she was taken aback when Jason slowly entered the room. He smiled at her and she noticed that he had a small lavender-colored gift bag in his hand.
"Jason?" she asked with a stunned smile.
"Hello, [Y/N]," he greeted, his smile faltering once he took in her bruised form.
"Hi! Come on in," she said and he moved further into the room, moving his eyes away from her leg that rested in a cast.
"Hey," he said in a whisper, standing next to the bed. "How- how are you?"
"I'm doing okay," she answered and he nodded. However, she could see the concern in his green eyes as they scanned over the bandage on her forehead, faint scratches on her arm, and on her injured leg again.
"My god, [Y/N], are you sure you're okay?" he asked, meeting her eyes again.
"I mean, it's not rainbows and unicorns at the moment," she chuckled. "But, I'll be alright."
He breathed out a laugh, shaking his head.
"What is it?" she asked curiously.
"Your positivity," he replied, smiling at her in rather awe. "It's amazing, really. I remember Ali used to go on and on about how you were the most positive out of the powerpuff girls."
"Ali called us powerpuff girls?" [Y/N] asked teasingly.
"Okay, that was me," he said sheepishly. "Sorry."
"Don't be, it's funny," she said, still chuckling before looking down at her lap for a moment. Noticing the book there, she moved it to the table beside her and faced Jason again. "Would you like to have a seat? There's the chair."
"Oh, sure," he replied before picking up the chair that was at the foot of the bed and moving it closer to her. "I met your parents and brother outside, by the way. They seemed busy on the phone."
"Don't remind me," [Y/N] shook her head tiredly. "Somehow the accident ended up on the news and everyone we know have been calling continuously. Mom, Dad, and [y/b/n] were ignoring them, but I asked them to answer the calls and just get it over with, you know?
"Besides, every time they look at me, they get this sad look in their eyes and I feel bad that I gave them this scare."
"Hey, no, it's not your fault that you got hurt," he said gently.
"I just wish I moved out of the car's way when I saw it come at me," [Y/N] said in a small voice. "Instead, I froze on the spot; it was like my brain stopped functioning."
"Do you think that it was an accident?" he asked.
"What?" [Y/N] asked, her heartbeat rising at his intent gaze on her. "I think so. I- I don't see why anyone would want to hit me on purpose."
"I have a feeling that something's going on," he spoke, continuing to look at her. "First, Ali went missing and they found her body literally after a year. Then, we did a memorial for her only for someone to destroy it so- so brutally. Then, when I saw you at the school the other day during the storm, you seemed pretty terrified after getting a text and literally flew out of the room. Now, someone ran you over with their car, [Y/N]. All of these can't be a coincidence, can they?"
"I- I don't know what to tell you, Jason," she replied with a soft sigh. She truly didn't and this topic made her feel uneasy. She had a feeling A was behind all of these incidents, but she couldn't tell Jason about them. She couldn't possibly put Jason in A's radar.
"[Y/N], please," he pleaded in a low voice. "Is there something going on? Is someone bothering you and your friends? Was someone trying to hurt Ali?"
"I really don't know," she answered helplessly and he let out a defeated sigh, dropping his gaze from hers. "If something was going on, especially if it was related to Ali, I would let you know. I promise."
He looked at her again in silence as if analyzing whether she was telling the truth or not. [Y/N] wasn't sure what he saw, but eventually, he looked convinced by her words.
"Thank you. Oh, and here," he said, handing her the small gift bag he had brought. "This is for you. It's a little get well soon present."
"Thank you," she replied, keeping the bag in her lap. "You know, you didn't have to."
"I wanted to," he shrugged, smiling.
"Well, thanks again," she replied, feeling her heart warm at his sweet gesture. She looked at the bag, but she couldn't see the contents in it due to the tissue papers he had placed in it. "What's in here?"
"Go ahead and look," he chuckled, causing her to grin sheepishly. However, she did as he said and moved the tissue papers to the side of the bag and gasped, her eyes widening.
"Oh my goodness!" she exclaimed in a whisper, taking the small otter plush toy out of the bag. She held it in both of her hands, gazing at it with heart eyes.
"Jason," she called, turning to him, and he was already looking at her with an affectionate smile. He found her reaction to the simple gift so cute and pure. "This is adorable! Thank you so much! How'd you know I like otters?"
"Guess," he said with a teasing glint in his eyes.
"Ali?" she asked and he confirmed with a nod. She was almost in disbelief at that idea that Ali had talked about them so much.
"You girls are all that she talked about most of the time," he shared with a sad but fond smile on his lips and she returned it.
"Thank you again," she said softly while hugging the otter close to her heart. "I love this little guy so much already."
"You're very welcome," he couldn't help but laugh at her words. The way she found happiness in the smallest of things made him adore her further. He didn't think the gift was a big deal. However, seeing the way she was holding the plush toy as if it was a prized possession warmed his heart and he was glad that at times he had paid attention to Ali's tales about her friends.
"So, I should get going now," he said in a low voice, regretting the words that left his lips.
"Oh, okay," she replied in an equally low voice that made him wonder if she was going to miss him as much as he would miss her the moment they would be away from each other. "Are you going to stick around here for a while?"
Was that hope he heard in her voice?
He shook away his mind voice and looked at her with guilt.
"I'm actually leaving town," he said, making her heart drop.
"Oh," a barely audible whisper was all she could manager. She cleared her throat before speaking again. "When do you leave?"
"Later today," he answered. "I'll be back, though. Soon, hopefully. Sorry, I don't mean to drop all this on you."
"No, don't be," she shook her head, a small smile stretching her lips in order to reassure him. "Are you driving?"
"Yes," he nodded.
"Drive safe, okay?" she said.
"Of course," he smiled at her. "And, you take care of yourself, alright?"
"I will," she nodded.
"And, please let me know if…" he trailed off and she understood perfectly.
"I will, Jason," there was something in her voice that made him trust her words and he nodded at her gratefully.
With one last smile, he got up and moved the chair he was sitting on to its previous position by the foot of the bed. He once again moved closer to [Y/N] to say his goodbyes. For now.
"I guess this is goodbye," he said.
"I believe in see you laters," she chuckled, making him do the same. "Thank you for visiting me and for the gifts. I appreciate it."
"Anytime, [Y/N]," he replied before his gaze dropped from her for few moments before returning back to hers. "Is it okay if I give you a hug?"
"Yes," she whispered after a few moments, subconsciously opening her arms for him. Jason leaned down and he was as gentle as possible as he held her in his arms. One of his hands cradled the back of her head against his shoulder and the other wrapped around her shoulders. [Y/N] slowly brought her arms around him and rested them on his shoulder blades.
Jason was the first to pull back from the hug, not wanting to overstep any boundaries. [Y/N] moved her hands back in her lap and smiled up at him as he looked at her.
"I'm so glad you're okay," he told her quietly, his hand holding the side of her head for a few more seconds before he stepped back, creating a little distance between them. "Please stay safe."
"I will," she replied in an equally quiet voice. "You too."
He nodded at her and slowly walked backwards before stopping at the door.
"See you later, [Y/N]," he said with a smile, which she returned instantly.
"See you later, Jason," she said and watched as he stepped out of the room, closing the door behind him.
[Y/N] let out a small sigh and looked down at the otter plush, smiling fondly at it. Her heart felt a little heavy at the thought that Jason would be miles away from Rosewood, from her, soon. At the same time, his word of coming back soon made her feel relieved.

Tumblr media
The sound of the fire alarm blaring in your ears made you anxious, reminding you of all the times Charles had turned on the ear bleeding sound through the speakers to torture you. Suddenly you became aware of your surroundings, noticing the heat from the fire that was spreading around you burning your skin. You watched as every last memory Charles had left of his life burn to ashes.
“Let’s go!” Spencer shouted, grabbing your arm as you and the rest of the girls rushed out of the room to safety.
You rushed down the dark narrow hallway, calling out for Mona. Who had been missing since earlier, “Help me please!” Mona screamed. You could hear her sobs coming from a room ahead of you. You ran toward the door, prying it open with your bruised hands. You looked around hastily, searching for Mona. As you looked down you saw a terrified Mona, her arms were wrapped around her chest as her sobs echoed through out the entire room. Though it looked more like a dungeon to you.
You and the girls found a long strand of thick rope, you used it to help pull Mona out of the hole. It took all your strength, still feeling weak from everything you had endured in the past three weeks. As you finally managed to free Mona, you and the girls ran down the hall, searching for escape. You stopped running once you reached the ladder toward freedom. You climbed as fast as you could, your hands shaking as your feet stumbled a few times. It seemed useless though as you could barely get the door open. The smoke started spreading throughout the bunker as it made its way into your lungs. The smoke scratched your throat, making your chest hurt from choking, but by some sort of miracle, the door came open as you ran out into freedom.
As you ran out you saw people who you thought you might never see again: Alison, Caleb, Toby. But most importantly you saw him. The man who you spent every second worrying about, wondering how he chose to cope. You froze in your place, locking eyes with him. You missed that blonde hair, remembering the times you’d run your fingers through it. But his eyes were what got to you, they were glassy, he looked like he was about to cry, they were somehow greener than you remembered. Even though they weren’t the color of the ocean, you still felt yourself drowning in them.
You broke out of your trance, darting over to him as fast a your feet would take you. You jumped into his arms, wrapping yours around his neck. His arms wrapped around your back, squeezing you so tight you thought you might explode, but you couldn’t bring yourself to care. The only thing that mattered in this moment was that he was there, in front of you.
You squeezed your eyes shut tightly, feeling the tears beginning to fall. He had one hand on your back and the other was in your hair. He couldn’t believe you were here, in his arms. He didn’t know if he could ever let you go again. Every minute he was awake, he spent searching for you. Every second of the day, he spent worrying that he would never see you again. He removed his arm from your back, now holding your face in his hands, looking into your eyes.
You could tell he was deep in thought, but right now all you wanted to do was kiss him. You pulled him close, attaching your lips to his, sighing into him. You missed him every minute you were in there. Every second. You put your hands in his hair, tugging at the strands. He kept his hands on your face, his thumbs rubbing your cheeks softly.
He pulled away hesitantly, pushing lose strands of hair behind your ear, “I love you.” He spoke softly, resting his forehead against yours. You should see the tears falling from his eyes, you brought your hand up to his face and wiped the tears away with your thumb.
“I love you too, Jase.” You said, your voice still slightly scratchy from the smoke. He pulled you into another tight embrace, resting his head on top of yours with his arms around your upper back. You wrapped yours around his waist as your head lay on his chest.

The EMTS wanted to take you to the hospital, considering you had inhaled a bunch of smoke. But mostly because of being kidnapped for three weeks, nobody had any idea on what happened to you and they needed to make sure there were no serious injuries. You told them you wouldn’t go unless Jason could go with you, not wanting to be alone another second. The whole time he held your hand, or ran his fingers through your hair. There was never a second he wasn’t touching you. You missed the small moments of intimacy like this.
At the hospital the doctors treated a small cut you hand on your forehead, and wrapped your bruised knuckles with bandages. They also gave you fluids as you were severely dehydrated, which didn’t surprise you as Charles had left you outside for almost three days straight. Luckily, there were no major issues so you were cleared to go the same day.
You wanted nothing more than to be with Jason, but your parents got to the hospital and wanted you and Aria to stay home for the time being. You couldn’t have been more disappointed, you understood, but it still pissed you off. Your parents had always been protective as parents should be, but right now the safest you felt was with Jason.
As you got home, you walked into your bedroom, feeling extremely uncomfortable. You couldn’t help but remember every moment of torture you had endured in the dollhouse. You wanted nothing more than to rip every thing off the walls, get rid of every item that was laid on your desk, rip each and every book off the shelves, but you didn’t. What you didn’t realize as you stared at your no longer comfort zone, was that Jason was behind you, assessing your every move. He wanted to say something, but he didn’t wanna scare you, he also didn’t wanna approach you just in case you flinched away. So, instead he knocked on your already open door.
You turned around to see him leaning against the door frame. In the dark you weren’t really able to see him, but now, in the dim light of your room, you got a good look at him. He looked different, his hair was tousled and you could see the puffiness of his eyes. You walked up to him and put your hand on his cheek, circling your thumb over it. He leaned into your touch, staring into your eyes.
“You don’t mind if I stay, do you?” He asked softly.
“Of course not,” You said, “I feel safer when you’re here.” You confessed. He grabbed the hand that was on his face and pulled it away so he was now holding your hand. He stepped inside your room and closed the door. He pulled you over to the bed, lying down first and pulling you on top of him. You cuddled into his chest, grasping his shirt into your hands.
You knew the moment was entirely chaste right now but you couldn’t help but feel a burning feeling for him. You haven’t been able to entirely feel him in three weeks, you missed the moments when he would lather your entire body with soft kisses, leaving marks where only he could see.
You pulled your head up from his chest and sat up straight on his lap, looking into his sea green eyes. You planted your hands on his lower torso, just above the waistband of his pants. He looked into your eyes, searching for what was going through your head in this exact moment. His question was answered when you leaned in and kissed him, your hands running down his body.
He put his hands on your face pulling you away momentarily, “As much as I’d like to, are you sure you want to?” He asked, pushing the lose strands of hair behind your ear.
“Yes, I’m sure. I need to feel you.” You answered desperately, putting your hands under his shirt. He sighed at the feeling of your hands on his skin. You leaned back down, kissing him harder. His hands found their way to your hips, squeezing slightly. You moaned into the kiss as he sat up, the friction making you ache for him. You broke the kiss, tugging at his shirt. He assisted you on taking it off, giving you full view of his body.
He flipped you over on your back, hovering over you as blonde strands of his hair dangled above your face. You traced one of your fingers down his abdomen, making his shiver. He grabbed your hands and pinned them to the sides of your head, but not forcing them to stay there. You knew if you asked him to be rough with you, he would say no, in fear of hurting you, so you didn’t ask.
He planted kisses down your throat, sucking at the one spot he knew would get a reaction out of you. You whimpered, fidgeting beneath him. He smirked into your neck, putting his hands under your sweater, just resting beneath your bra. He pulled your sweater over your head and tossed it on the floor. He began kissing all the way down your body, from your collarbone, to your chest, all the way down to your abdomen, stopping when he reaches your the waistband of your cotton shorts. He looked up at you for permission, when you nod he pulls them down and tosses them on the floor by your previously discarded sweater.
He hovers over you, running his hands all over your body, making you whine for him to touch you. His hand slides down to your thigh, rubbing circles with his thumb just before he slides it further up. His fingers trace over your underwear, putting the tips of his fingers in to pull them completely off, making you feel slightly insecure under his gaze. He somehow senses your fears and kisses you with so much passion and neediness that you think you’ll implode.
“You’re beautiful, so beautiful.” He mumbles, snaking his hands behind your back to unclasp your bra and disregard it with the rest of your clothes. Your completely vulnerable beneath him and he knows it.
You shiver as his hands trail from beneath your back and down your waist and hips.
“Jase.” You whine, clenching against nothing. He knows what you want and he knows exactly how to give it to you. He wasn’t going to deprive you now. He trails his fingers down your thighs, all the way down your legs and stops as he reaches your ankles. You let out a shaky breath, trying not to unravel completely.
He throws your legs over his shoulders, holding down on to your hips, pushing you into the mattress to keep you from moving. In one swift movement, he attached his mouth to your clit, sucking harshly. You moaned his name, tugging at his hair. You attempted to squeeze your thighs together but his hands kept you pried open.
You loved the way his muscles tensed as he wrapped his arms around your legs, holding you in place. It just turned you on that much more. He always noticed the “sneaky” glances you’d take at him, though he’d never admit it to you.
“Jase, please.” You begged, wanting to feel all of him. He seemed to understand what you meant as his mouth left your clit. You sighed, the sudden emptiness leaving you desperate for something more. He let go over your legs, hovering back over you. You pushed the blonde strands of hair out of his face and pulled him into a needy kiss. You hands trailed from his face to the waist band of his sweatpants. You were quick to untie the strings, tugging his pants down. He assited you, pulling them down the rest of the way. He reacted quick, grinding into you desperately. You whimpered at the sudden friction, feeling yourself getting wetter.
“Don’t tease.” You mumbled, almost incoherently. He chuckled at your neediness, loving how he got you all riled up underneath him. You put the tips of your fingers in his boxers, pulling them down. You really did not want to waste any time.
“Someones a little desperate.” He joked, watching your every movement. You looked at him as you rolled your eyes. He leaned his forhead against yours, searching your eyes for any sense of regret. But the only thing he saw was love. He kissed you passionately as he pushed into you. You moaned into his mouth, the sudden feeling of being stretched out hurting you ever so slightly. He was doing his best to go easy on you, making sure you were comfortable the whole time. Usuaully, you would protest against the delicacy, but this was different. You were making love, not fucking.
He thrusted in and out of you at a steady pace, his hands were in your hair, keeping his lips attached to yours the entire time. You could tell he was resisting the urge to go faster, you knew it wouldn’t be the only time he walked on eggshells around you. As tired and bruised up from the dollhouse as you were, you needed him to go faster.
“Jason, go faster.” You whined, wrapping your arms around his neck tightly.
“I don’t wanna hurt you.” He mumbled, maintaining his steady but slightly wavering pace.
“You won’t, I promise.” You assured, bucking your hips upword, trying to get as much of him in you as possible. He looked at you for any sign of reluctance, but was met with none. He started moving in you faster.
“Jason.” You moaned his name, turning him on more. He got quicker, more rapid, as he thrust in and out of you. You closed your eyes tightly, sighing at the overwhelming pleasure. You felt your walls tightening, you knew you were close. You whimpered, feeling yourself ready to completely fall apart beneath him.
“Shh, just let go.” He whispered in your ear, making you shudder. You felt your body giving into him, you couldn’t hold it in anymore. You came around him, causing him to groan in your ear. His thrusts began wavering, clearly chasing his own release. You noticed he was about to pull out, but you put your hands on his biceps to stop him.
“Don’t.” You pleaded, you knew it was risky, but you really wanted to feel all of him.
“You sure?” He asked, uncertainty in his eyes. You put your arms around his neck and nodded, looking at him with doe eyes. He pushed into you a few more times before he came inside of you, burying his head into your neck as he did.
You put hands in his hair, twisting the strands around between your fingers. You were both a panting mess against each other, your hair was messy, lip gloss smudged, him leaking out of you. Every minute, and every second of it was perfect.

Soo, this is my first imagine, so I hope you like it. I'm not familiar with writing smut, so if there's anything I can do to fix it, lmk! I write stories on Wattpad, and I'm currently in the process in writing a Jason fic and Derek Hale. They're not published yet, but once they get to at least twenty chapters I'm going to post it.

“Cheat…”
Jason Dilaurentis x Taken!Reader
Warnings: oral (female receiving), much like my “you belong to me” outer banks fic, cussing, 18+
Summary: The reader is seeing someone when Jason Dilaurentis comes back to town. A relationship blossoms…one where they’re more than friends.
Tumblr media
“Did you miss me?”
At the sound of a familiar voice you turned, meeting the eyes of none other than Jason Dilaurentis.
“Jason? You’re back!” You said and moved to hug him, his familiar scent filling your nostrils.
“Why did you come back here?” You asked and he looked a bit hurt by this, but he brushed it off.
“I want to be happy” He said “And I want that here”
You nodded your head, looking back towards Spencers house. That’s where you were going, until you saw Jason.
“Do you want to talk? Inside?” He asked and you gave him a guilty smile.
“I would but I’m here to see Spencer and the rest of the girls” You said “Maybe tomorrow? I can bring us lunch?” You suggested and Jason smiled, nodding.
“Call me later, okay?” He said and handed you a slip of paper “Here’s my new number” He said and smiled before hugging her one last time.
——
When you got inside Spencer’s house, the girls were looking at you with concern.
“Jason? Are you always attracted to dangerous people?” Hanna said and you laughed.
“Me and Jason are just friends! Plus I’m already dating Matthew!” You said, bringing up your childhood friend, now boyfriend.
“Hey! That relationship is fresh! Jason could ruin it” Spencer said and you gasped.
“I will not let Jason ruin it! He’s just a friend”
“Friends don’t stare at each others abs” Hanna remarked and your face flushed.
“How could I not- he was shirtless…”
“See! I knew it! He’s dangerous Y/n, please be careful” Spencer said and you nodded.
“I will be…he’s just a friend”
Jason’s lips roughly crashed onto yours, pressing you up against the wall in his doorway.
You let out a gasp as he trailed his kisses down your neck, leaving a few marks behind in the process.
“Jason-“
“You can’t stop thinking about me, can you?” He whispered in your ear.
You woke up with a gasp, hearing your phone alarm ringing in your ear.
“I just had a dream about Jason…” You trailed off, looking to your side to see your sleeping boyfriend.
You sighed and got up. You had to go to Jason’s for lunch today.
You got dressed, picking out a sundress, wearing your hair down.
You sent him a quick text to ask him what he wanted from The Grill and when he replied, you left your boyfriends house.
When you got to Jason’s, you knocked on the door.
He answered almost immediately. He was wearing a really tight shirt and some jeans.
You look so hot. You thought to yourself.
“Oh- thanks” He said and your face flushed in embarrassment.
“I said that out loud?” You said “I’m so sorry-“
“No, no it’s okay” He said and gently pulled you inside. “I like when you compliment me” He said and took the bag of food from you.
Your face was still flushed and you could imagine the shit eating grin on his face as he walked away.
Once you made it to the table Jason came out of the kitchen with nothing in his hands.
“Where’s the food?” You asked and he smirked a bit.
“I was thinking…” He started and moved towards you, his eyes roaming over your body. “I think I want dessert first” He said and wrapped his arms around your waist, hoisting you up onto the table.
He pressed his lips against yours and you couldn’t help but moan into him, causing him to smirk.
“Jason I…”
“You have a boyfriend, I know” He said “But I can make you feel better than he can” He said and laid you down on the table, lifting the bottom of your dress up so he could disappear underneath.
You gasped as you felt his breath against your panties, your legs automatically closing a bit.
He wrapped his biceps around your thighs and he held your legs open.
You couldn’t believe this was happening.
He removed your panties and gently licked a stripe along your folds. Your body jerked upwards and you let out a whimper.
“Jason- please” You begged and he chuckled moving your dress up so you could see him.
“As you wish” He said and began eating you out.
Your head fell back as moans left your throat, unable to contain them.
Jason flicked his tongue against your clit and he sucked on it a bit, placing his attention there.
“Fuck! Jason…” You gasped and bit your lip.
You ran your fingers through his hair and tugged, earning a groan from him.
“Please please…Jason I’m close!” You said and he smirked, humming.
It didn’t take long for you to cum, Jason didn’t want to make you wait longer than you needed to.
He helped you ride out your high, holding your twitching legs as you came down.
Your face was flushed and you looked fucked out. He smirked.
“I knew you were into me” He said and your face flushed.
“What would your boyfriend say about this?” He said and you looked up at him.
“I won’t tell if you won’t” You said and he smirked.
“Let’s eat lunch” He said and walked back into the kitchen, leaving you a blushing mess.

Remember To Breathe
Tumblr media
Pairings: Jason DiLaurentis x Reader
Summary: “A” finally made it to bring your friends and you behind bars - you thought, until you woke up and found yourself in a dollhouse.
Word Count: 3,163
Authors Note: This is based on 5x25 and 6x01 - I already wrote a fic similar to this one but I was never satisfied with it so I rewrote it and hope you’ll like it! (The old one was “Kidnapped”)
___________________________
DiLaurentis House:
“Toby, Lieutenant Tanner,” Jason sighed, he seemed pissed as he stepped outside the door. “how can I help you?” He looked at Tanner. “I mean you’ve my sister and now my girlfriend, so what else could I possibly give you?”
Toby looked worried. He didn’t know how to tell Jason that the Van, which was supposed to transfer you and your friends into a different prison to separate you all from Alison, crashed and that you girls are missing.
Tanner noticed that Toby was overwhelmed by the situation, his girlfriend was missing too and so she stepped in, “Mr. DiLaurentis, I’m very sorry but I’ve to inform you that Y/N and her friends are missing.”
Jason listened. Toby didn’t know how to interpret his expression, was he shocked because of you missing or was he mad and about to yell at Tanner and him?
One thing Toby did know was that Jason loved you, at least as much as he loved Spencer, and that he could relate to Jason’s feelings, no matter how he’d react now.
Jason started laughing sarcastically. “Th- This is all your fault.” He couldn’t stop himself. “She came to you! Y/N, she tried to tell you and you didn’t listen - even Hanna tried and you didn’t care.” Jason became angry. “And now you lost her. This is on you and this stupid town.”
“Mr. DiLaurentis, I understand that you’re upset but we try our best to find them and if you could help us in anyway, it’d be-”
“No.”
Tanner looked at Toby because she thought she didn’t hear right. “No?”
“No, I think you should leave my property.” Jason crashed through his door and slammed it behind him.
                                    ~*~
You and Jason had been a couple for a few years now, you two somehow already lived together and had planned a future, one that Jason wanted to make official with proposing to you, after everything with “A” would finally be over - but maybe now it was to late.
Jason tried to hold it together but as he stepped into the living room and saw a picture of you and him his body tensed and he couldn’t hold back some tears.
He went over and took the picture into his hand. Jason smiled as he remembered the moment the picture was made. You were should met his family for the ‘first’ time. You actually knew them, when you were friends with Alli but this was different and you were so nervous before. It turned out it was the best evening he ever had with his parents.
Jason took his phone out and called Caleb. He knew Caleb had probably looked for Hanna already and besides Toby, he trusted him. You were always honest with Jason and told him everything about “A”, no matter the danger that came with it because you knew, you two would deal with it. Jason knew, Hanna told Caleb too.
“We’ve to find them on our own.” He said in a serious tone.
                                   ~*~
In the Dollhouse:
You woke up when the sun was shining on your face. You were not quite awake yet but you already noticed that something wasn’t right.
Usually when you woke up, you’d find Jason right beside you, still asleep... but now you were all by yourself and this never happened, you were always the first to wake up.
“Jason?” You called for him.
It was still possible that he might fell asleep on the couch or had to use the bathroom.
Then you remembered. Your friends and you had a car crash and someone shoot a smoky gas.
You stood up immediately. You noticed that someone put a lot of effort in the room you were in, to make it look like the same as the real one but as you saw the camera above you, you were sure that this wasn’t your home.
Your hands shook and your heart thudded in your chest. Where were you? Where were your friends? The tension in your body started to grow. You were trying to find a way out but all you found out was that you were a prisoner in a room that looked like your home and there was no way out.
“HEEEEEEEEEEEELP!” You screamed with all the air you had in your lungs and hammered with your fist against the door until it hurts.
After minutes, which seemed for you to be hours, a woman’s voice ring out of the loudspeaker. She greeted you in different languages and told you to exit your room.
                                   ~*~
You stepped out of your room and into a nearly dark hallway, where you finally saw all of your friends. You ran over to them and pulled them into a hug. All of you were still in in those orange suits they gave you before you got into the van. You were glad that you weren’t alone in this nightmare anymore but your body was still on alarm.
“What is this place?” Aria asked. She seemed like she hadn’t slept for days.
“I think that this is ‘A’s House.” Hanna replied with the same tired look in her eyes.
“More like ‘A’s Dollhouse.” Spencer added.
Emily looked at you. “Yes, and we’re the dolls.”
You started to take short breaths and your heart was pounding faster.
While the others looked around to find away out or to see anything that could help escaping, Spencer noticed your breathing and took your hand. “Calm down Y/N, we’re all here.”
Hanna was confused. “What is happening to her?”
You realized that everything around you slowed down but your movements became faster. You had a panic attack. You had those before but with different triggers. Spencer was the only one who knew about them.
“Y/N, look at me. You’re not alone and we’ll get out of here!” She tried her best to sound convincing. “You’ve space, you can move. Everything will be alright.”
You breathing didn’t stabilized. Spencer knew that you had those panic attacks since you got locked up by ‘A’ in a box at the train-party, Jason told her. He asked for her help as you became afraid of small rooms or feeling locked up in anyway, because it happened a lot by the time and for him, Spencer was the closest of your friends.
Spencer suddenly had an idea. “Think about what he’d tell you.”
And you did as she told you. You remembered Jason’s voice and tried to hear it as clearly as you could. You nearly could imagine how he’d look at you while trying to calm you and this actually calmed you down.
“How did you do that?” Aria asked Spencer.
“Y/N, are you alright?” Emily placed a hand on your shoulder and you nodded.
“Please, follow the lighted pathway.” You hear the loudspeaker-female voice again.
You looked at each other. All of you were confused and angry at the same time.
“Please, follow the lighted pathway.”
Hanna clenched her teeth. “We heard you, Bitch.”
You wrapped your hands around her Hanna’s arm and all of you followed the lights, that were placed near the ground on each side of the walls that surrounded you.
                                   ~*~
You entered a room that looked exactly alike to the DiLaurentis living room. You saw a woman- at least you thought it had to be a woman, as you saw the long blond hair, you thought for a second it could be Alison - but she had a mask on, so you couldn’t see her real face. She way playing a classical piano song, which sounded familiar to you...
Emily took a step forward, “Ali, is that you?”
The woman stopped playing the piano and pulled off the mask she wore.
You looked at each other in disbelief. It was Mona. You thought she was dead for so long but seeing her alive and well was a relieve, even when it shocked you at first.
Mona was dressed like Alison, in the night she disappeared. She also acted like her, which confused all of you more than the whole situation already did.
                                   ~*~
Caleb’s House:
Jason entered Calebs room and saw him sitting on his computer, probably trying to track all of you.
“Hey Man,” Caleb said. “I’m sorry.”
Caleb and Jason got along pretty well. Caleb was the only one who knew about how serious the relationship to you was for Jason, and that he planned to propose to you.
Jason nodded thankfully. “Anything yet?”
“Caleb got into the P.D.’s command center.” Toby replied.
Jason walked over to the boys and watched carefully what Caleb was doing. Even when he had no idea of hacking, he hoped to see anything that could lead to you.
“And if you cross check the vans GPS system with the P.D.’s system, it goes dead right here.” Caleb pointed to a map on his monitor.
Toby nodded. “On Route 30, near the railroad crossing.” he looked at Jason, trying to read his mind as he stared on the monitor.
Jason noticed Toby looking at him. “Toby, I’m sorry for the way I acted. I was-”
“Don’t mention it. I get it and I would’ve done the same.”
Jason appreciated Toby’s words, probably more than Toby could know. Jason hated it when he behaved like this, because of you he became a better man but sometimes his old manners and his temper would take control over him.
“Okay, so what does us tell this?” Ezra asked.
Jason was so focused on what Caleb might have found out that he didn’t even noticed Fitz being there.
“That’s when ‘A’ hacked into the system of the van and took control over the vehicle. Caleb answered.
Jason tried to listen what else they’ve found out but it was hard for him to concentrate when all he could think about was what ‘A’ might do to you or if you would be still alive.
                                   ~*~
In the Dollhouse:
Mona, or Alison how she calls herself, offered all of you some Tea and cookies. She spoke and continued to act like Alison, also the way she treated you all were the same way Ali would’ve treated you.
Emily looked at her, she still couldn’t believe that Mona was alive. “We really thought you were dead.”
“Thank god for Mrs. Grunwald.” Mona sighed. “I don’t know how I’ll ever repay her for saving my life that night.” She sat down between Hanna and Emily. “I’m so happy to see you guys.” Mona smiled.
“Cut the crap Mona.” You scowled. The others were surprised by your words.
You couldn’t handle the way she acted and even when you had a panic attack a few minutes ago, you could breathe fine now and were done with the shit that ‘A’ was doing with all of you already.
Hanna placed her hand gently on Mona’s knee. “I’m really happy to see you too, Mona.” She said soft.
“Do not call me that again.” Mona threatened. “You know how much I loathe that Bitch.”
Emily touched Mona’s hair. She was desperate to know if it truly was her hair and it was. Emily looked at Spencer shocked and somehow you couldn’t hide a small smirk.
Suddenly you heard the loudspeakers again, a bell chimes and Mona leaves the room. You and the girls followed her, obviously confused.
                                   ~*~
She leads you into another room and she sits down with a board game. The room looked like a child’s room. You felt that your body tensed again, it really creeped you out seeing all this dolls around you.
“We need to start the game,” Mona looked at you and again you hear chimes,  “four chimes means it’s game time.”
Mona opened the board game and you and your friends sat down at the table. She tried to explain how to play the game but all of you were distracted or confused. Mona opened  a “door” on the board and you all could see a picture of Ezra where he was on the Ice Ball.
“No, I’m not gonna sit here and play this stupid game.” Aria panicked and you could see the fear in her eyes.
You heard the chimes again and Mona stood up and got all of you a letter by ‘A’. In it was an invention to prom.
“We’re playing the game to see who our prom dates will be.” Emily said.
You were the same opinion as Aria. You stood up and looked at the other pictures until you found one of Jason. You threw the invention away.
“We’re not playing this game, do you hear me?” You shouted as you walked over to the camera that was watching all of you..
Hanna also stood up and looked into the camera above. “You win, you can have us as your precious dolls... but if Caleb shows up here and if you do anything to hurt him-”
“-it won’t.” You throw in.
“How can you be so sure?” Hanna looked at you in disbelieve.
You looked at the camera, “because if I see Jason and this thing hurts him, I will kill it myself.”
“Y/N!” Mona tries to calm you.
“No, Y/N is right. You’re not Alison. You’re Mona, okay?” Hanna snaps at her. “And this is not your house. You’re not here alone anymore. There are six of us.”
“And just one of him, her or it, bitch!” You hissed at ‘A’ and looked right into the eye of the camera.
“They’re right. Let’s find a way to get the hell out of here.” Emily suggested and the others, except Mona, agreed.
“Mona, let’s go.” Spencer said soft.
“I’m Alison. Alison DiLaurentis.” Mona replied with a worried look.
“Mona, let’s go!” Hanna yelled and a loud alarm started wailing.
All of you tried to cover your ears. It was a sound that was alike to a fire alarm but much much louder.
Mona ran out of the room and told you all to follow. She ran into a room that looked exactly like Alison’s.
She turned around and looked at you. “It won’t stop until you’re all in your rooms.”
You did as she said and ran into your rooms, the door shut behind you and after a minute, the alarm stopped.
And again, you were alone.
                                   ~*~
Hours past and you couldn’t tell what time it was by now. Your thoughts were racing, first about who was torturing you and your friends, if the police would ever find you, if they were even looking and then you thought about Jason and what he might do, if he couldn’t find you.
At first you didn’t want to lay in the fake bed in your fake room but you couldn’t help yourself. You were exhausted and eventually, you felt asleep.
You heard something whirring because you woke up. Short after, Mona came into your room.
“We’ve got three Minutes, come on.”
                                   ~*~
Calebs House:
Meanwhile, Caleb retrieved the footage from the traffic camera.
Toby looked at the monitor in confusion, “What the...?” he asked as he saw a cartoon.
“‘A’ must’ve found a way to override the camera.” Caleb explained.
Jason tried to hide his anger but Ezra couldn’t, he was so upset by ‘A’ mocking them with a cartoon that he kicked against a wall.
Caleb, Toby and Jason shrugged but as they saw that Ezra was hurt, they tried to comfort him.
“Are you okay?” Jason asked worried.
“I’ll get you some ice for that.” Toby offered.
“I don’t need ice.” Ezra shouted in anger. “I need to find Aria and we’ve got nothing. Nothing.” He yelled.
Caleb looked thoughtful at his computer. “If I find the right code, I’ll write a program that’ll pinpoint the source of the signal.” Then he looked at Ezra. “That’s all we need to prove to Tanner that ‘A’ took the control over the van.”
Jason nodded. “Do it, Toby you call her.”
                                   ~*~
In the Dollhouse:
You followed Mona and woke up the others. You walked behind her as she brought you to some sort of crossing.
“Every night the generator shuts down like a clockwork.” Mona started. “It takes exactly three minutes for the backup power to kick in. I’ve run in 90 seconds in each direction,” She stopped walking. You took a look around and saw a door.
“I’ve found the way out, but there’s an old silo at the end and one has to climb up. There is a ladder there, but it’s about 50 feet to the top and one cannot get to the top before the power turns back on.” Mona explained in a hurry. Then she pointed to the other side, where you were standing. “The other way leads to a big empty room and past that room is a sealed steel door, like that of a vault, at the end of the hall.”
“Like a bank vault?” Spencer asked.
“And whats on the other side?” You questioned and hoped to here that this was an actual exit for this hell hole.
“I’m dying to know too, but I’ve never made it inside by time.” She replied.
“What do you mean ‘by time’?” Hanna looked at her in fear.
“It leaves you without food or water for days.” Mona answered. “It blasts the siren until you’d rather die than listen to it one more second. And on a loop, ‘A’ plays a recording of her loved ones crying.” She was scared and also hurt by the thought of her mother crying.
Your body started to shiver and your hands began to shake. Usually you were tough, at least you made everybody think you were, but this was too much to handle. Only the thought of hearing Jason or your family cry because they’d think you’d be dead, made you wish you’d actually die.
You were also afraid what would happen here to your friends, if they wouldn’t do what ‘A’ wants them to do. You looked at the others and saw that they felt the same way you did. You took Aria’s and Emily’s hand and tried to comfort them as much as you could. Also you hoped that this would prevent you, from another panic attack.
“It wanted me to become Alison, so that’s who I am when it’s watching.” Mona continued. “It thinks it beat me. But I’m still here. I’m the one who’s winning the game.” She tried to sound confident.
You were so much in your thoughts and tried to get everything that Mona had told you, that you didn’t listen to anything else anymore. But your body was on high alert, whenever you heard something unfamiliar, so you shrugged as you heard a clicking noise.
“Did anyone here that?” You asked.
Mona looked at you in fear. “We’ve got 17 seconds. Run!”
You did as she said and you could’ve sworn, each of you never ran that fast. You were running for your life.

—————
“Where is Spencer with my mozzarella sticks?” Hanna groaned, dropping her head on top of her book that laid open in front of her, and [Y/N] chuckled at her friend’s antics.
Currently, [Y/N] and Hanna found themselves in Spencer’s kitchen, sitting at the island, as they studied for the SATs.
“Relax, Han, I’m sure Spence is on her way here,” [Y/N] replied while working on practice questions. “Remember she had to pick up Aria on her way?”
“Yeah, I remember,” Hanna groaned yet again, facing [Y/N] this time with her cheek pressed against the cold page of her book.
[Y/N] was so engrossed in her studying that she didn’t notice the sudden mischief that lit up Hanna’s eyes.
“Until they get here, though,” Hanna began, lifting her head up and sitting straight again with her hands clasped in front of her. “We have something very important to talk about.”
“Talk about what?” [Y/N] asked, her eyes turning suspicious as she noticed the teasing glint in the blonde’s eyes.
“About the past few days,” Hanna replied. “About Jason.”
“What about Jason?” [Y/N] asked, her eyes dropping to the pages in front of her again as she tried to remain nonchalant about the topic.
“[Y/N] [Y/L/N], you know exactly what I’m talking about!” exclaimed Hanna.
“Nope, I don’t,” [Y/N] answered, flipping the pages of the book because she couldn’t concentrate on the practice questions anymore.
Hanna, who understood this, was quick to pull the book away from [Y/N] to which the latter let out a ‘hey!’
“[Y/N/N], did you really not see the way Jason’s eyes lit up when he saw you after he said hi to me the day he came to discuss the memorial with us?” Hanna asked, ignoring her friend’s protest to grab the book again.
“The way he hugged you and to me, it looked like he only let go when you pulled away from him first,” Hanna continued and [Y/N] remained silent, no longer trying to get her book back. “He also stood closer to the side you sat by at this very spot. He was all polite and business until he brought up Ali’s picture, and you replied that it was our favorite. Not to forget, you speaking up totally calmed him down when we pretty much nagged him about why Jenna wanted to speak at the memorial.”
[Y/N] played with her fingers as she processed Hanna’s words. She would be lying if she disagreed with Hanna because she had made the exact same observations about Jason. However, she was afraid to hope that there was more – that Jason somehow returned her feelings.
“Also, let’s not forget the extra large frown on his face when Eric hugged you after the memorial,” Hanna added.
“Wait, what?” [Y/N] asked as this was the first time she was hearing about this.
“Yes!” Hanna exclaimed. “I mean he probably knows Eric’s your ex so he was very much likely jealous.”
“Han,” [Y/N] sighed. “Are you sure you’re not imagining things?”
“Of course not,” replied Hanna. “I’ll have you know that I’m a very observant person.”
[Y/N] couldn’t help but chuckle before sighing.
“Hanna banana, nothing is going to happen between Jason and me. So, you need to forget about Jason and I, and focus on the SATs we have tomorrow.”
“Hey, I’m multitasking!” Hanna reasoned, making [Y/N] laugh yet again.
“But, Han, I’m serious,” [Y/N] replied. “To Jason, I’m prob- definitely just a friend of Ali. One of the powerpuff girls as he used to call us.”
“I’ve just… never seen you look at a guy the way you look at Jason,” Hanna said softly. “I mean I know you were with Eric and you two liked each other, but I don’t know. I’ve always thought you two were better off as friends.”
“That’s why we ended things but we are still good friends,” smiled [Y/N].
“I hate that I’m nagging you about Jason, but I just… I want you to be happy,” Hanna shrugged.
“I am happy, Han,” [Y/N] replied, leaning over and squeezing Hanna’s hand reassuringly.
Before Hanna could say more, they heard the sound of Spencer’s car.
“Let’s not talk about Jason anymore,” [Y/N] said. “Can I have my book back please?”
“Ugh, fine,” Hanna rolled her eyes dramatically and handed [Y/N] her book again. “Our conversation isn't over [Y/N/N]!”
...
The day of the SATs was awful to say the least.
Veronica Hastings had driven Spencer, Aria, Hanna, and [Y/N] to the school. Spencer’s mother didn’t let the girls out of her sight until she verified with someone the test was definitely taking place and not getting canceled due to the storm.
“Test is on today,” a woman, one of the proctors, told Veronica. “Rosewood students should register in the library.”
“Half of the school isn’t even here,” Hanna said.
“And, they may never make it,” Veronica added. “We saw this huge tree down on Sawmill Road and they’ve closed off York street.”
“That wasn’t because of the storm,” a familiar voice replied from behind them and the four  best friends looked at each other in alert. Detective Wilden was the last person they wanted to see at the moment. They, along with Veronica, turned to face him. “York Street has been closed since last night.”
“Why?” Veronica questioned.
“Somebody decided to pay a visit to Alison DiLaurentis’ memorial and destroy it,” Wilden informed them, making the girls’ hearts drop. “Shattered the tiles, broke the bench.”
“What?” Aria and [Y/N] whispered in shock.
“When did this happen?” Spencer questioned.
“We had to cordon off the area, there’s an investigation going on,” Wilden stated, eyeing the girls rather suspiciously.
“Spare them the details,” Veronica interrupted before Wilden could continue. “They’re about to take their SATs.”
“Right,” Wilden nodded, slowly backing away from them. “Good luck on the test, ladies.”
“We should get to the library,” [Y/N] said quietly and walked ahead with Hanna as the others followed.
...
The exam still hadn’t started and [Y/N] found herself alone in the music room after a while. She was seated on the window sill and leaned against the window with her eyes closed as she listened to the sound of the rain and winds.
She felt exhausted with everything.
First, one of her best friends, Alison, disappeared a year ago only to be found murdered a few months back. Then, Jason DiLaurentis – her dead best friend’s brother and the man she had feelings for – returned to town to plan a memorial for Ali. Now, the memorial they put their hearts into was destroyed.
It also didn’t help that Emily was acting pretty strange. She hadn’t joined the rest of the girls the previous night to study for the exam, explaining that she didn’t get out of swim practice till late. Except, when Wilden had questioned about all of their whereabouts, Emily told him that she was with her friends to study for the exam. And, now, Emily was upset with them for questioning her on her lie and had stormed off.
Everything was taking a toll on [Y/N] and all she wanted to do was go home, snuggle in her covers, and shut the world out for a while.
“[Y/N]?”
The call of her name startled her and she snapped her eyes open, turning her head to face the doorway. To her complete surprise, there stood the man, who had captured her thoughts and more.
“Jason?” she asked, her voice indicating her surprise, as she moved her legs down to sit up straight. “What are you doing here?”
“Wanted to have a word with Detective Wilden,” Jason replied, walking further into the room, and his wet raincoat hung on his right arm. “Went to the police station and found out he was here.”
“Jason, it’s terrible out there,” she couldn’t help but say in concern. “You shouldn’t have driven in this weather. It’s dangerous.”
“I know, but I had to,” he said, pausing a foot or two away from where she was sitting. “I don’t know if you heard but Ali’s memorial was destroyed.”
“I heard,” [Y/N] whispered, dropping her gaze from his. “Detective Wilden told us.”
“I’m sorry,” Jason said a few moments later and [Y/N] looked up at him again in question. “I know that you and your friends worked really hard on it. I can only imagine how upset you guys must be.”
[Y/N] shrugged with a sad smile.
“You can sit here if you’d like,” she said when she noticed Jason was still standing in front of her. He complied, sitting next to her with a small ‘thanks.’ “I’m sorry too.”
“For what?” he asked, confused.
“For everything that’s happened since Ali’s disappearance,” [Y/N] replied. “It feels like… she can’t rest.”
“More like Rosewood won’t let her rest,” Jason added with a bitter smile.
“I’m still having a hard time processing this, to be honest,” [Y/N] commented. “Rosewood has always been a strange little town. Yet, it’s hard to believe that such a heartless person is out there who would destroy a memorial.”
“Do you or your friend know of someone who would want to hurt Ali?” Jason asked and [Y/N] froze in her spot. “Someone who must hate Ali to such an extent they’d go as far as to destroy a memorial for her?”
In [Y/N]’s opinion, the list of people who disliked Ali was rather endless. Unfortunately, her deceased best friend wasn’t the nicest person. She had bullied almost half of the school and had made more enemies than friends. One of Ali’s victims definitely had to be their faceless tormentor, A, and they had to be responsible for destroying Alison’s memorial the previous night.
But, of course, she couldn’t exactly reveal all of this to Jason.
“[Y/N]?” Jason called when she didn’t reply for a long time and the girl looked at him again.
“I’m not sure, Jason,” she shook her head. “I have a feeling that there are probably a lot of people out there who didn’t- well, don’t like Ali and us. But, I don’t know anyone specific who could’ve done this.”
Jason seemed convinced and nodded at her answer. He was well-aware of the type of person his little sister was. Yet, it broke his heart that even after her death, someone was holding grudges against her.
“Are you ready for the SATs?” Jason asked [Y/N], changing the topic from Alison.
“I- I guess so,” she shrugged with a low chuckle.
“Hey, it’ll be okay,” he said reassuringly, understanding how stressed she must be feeling. “Don’t think about anything now. Just focus on your exam, okay? I’m sure you’ll do great.”
“Well, it’d be greater if the exam gets canceled,” she said, causing him to laugh. “But, thank you, Jason.”
“Of course,” he said, still smiling. “And, I hope for your sake that the exam does get canceled.”
She laughed, shaking her head, before meeting his eyes. The two of them felt lighter for a moment despite the chaos that awaited them outside the classroom. The moment was soon interrupted when [Y/N]’s phone binged with an incoming text.
“Excuse me,” she said, moving to grab her cell phone from her bag, and Jason nodded, looking away. [Y/N] instantly tensed when she saw that the message was from none other than her and her friends’ faceless tormentor.
Define 'desertion.' Seems like you're about to lose Emily. Who's next? - A.
Just like that, the calmness Jason’s words and presence brought [Y/N] disappeared. She abruptly stood up, startling the man next to her.
“[Y/N]?” Jason called her name and she turned to face him while wearing her backpack. “Is everything okay?”
“Yes,” she breathed out, nodding her head rapidly. “I have to go.”
“Are you sure everything’s okay?” he couldn’t help but ask, having noticed her rapid breathing.
“Yes, yes, I just really have to go,” she replied, already walking towards the door.
“Uh, okay, can I walk with you?” he asked.
“No, no, it’s okay,” she said quickly, already out of the classroom. “I’ll see you later.”
Before he could reply, [Y/N] was already out of his sight. He was confused and a little suspicious by [Y/N]’s sudden anxious state. Soon, he walked out of the class too, hoping to find Wilden and also to check up on [Y/N] if possible too.
...
[Y/N] walked to the locker room to join the rest of her friends, who were all there except for Emily.
“[Y/N/N], where were you?” Hanna asked in concern.
“I- I just needed some time to myself,” [Y/N] answered and her three friends nodded in understanding. “Where’s Emily? Is she okay?”
“She’s right behind you,” Aria replied and [Y/N] turned around to see Emily walk towards them.
“Hey, Em, where were you?” Spencer asked gently when Emily stopped a few feet away from them.
“I was looking for my purse,” replied Emily, not meeting her friends’ eyes.
“Maybe it’s still in the library?” Hanna suggested.
Before the girls could talk further, they were interrupted by Wilden.
“Emily, we found something that belongs to you. Could you come with me, please?”
Without waiting for Emily’s reply, Wilden began to walk off while Emily turned to her friends, looking scared. [Y/N] held Emily’s hand in hers, nodding at her, wordlessly telling her that they were in this together.
“Emily, let’s go,” Wilden pressed sternly and the five girls walked behind him, annoyed and worried.
They followed Wilden to the library and their eyes widened when Wilden stopped by a table, where Emily’s bag sat.
“Perfect, we can all be together for an update,” he said in mock excitement as the girls stood in front of him.
“What’s going on?” Spencer asked first with her arms crossed across her chest. She wasn’t about to let Wilden intimidate her and her friends easily when they did nothing wrong.
“Did you tell your friends where you were last night?” he asked, facing Emily with a smirk. “When you weren’t studying for the test? See, because I got these really interesting photos…”
Wilden passed his phone to the girls and they were shocked to see the pictures of Emily at the site of Alison’s destroyed memorial.
“And, I see that you didn’t get a chance to clean your shoes either,” Wilden stated, looking at Emily’s muddy shoes.
“It wasn’t me, I swear,” Emily said in a shaky voice as tears ran down her cheeks.
“Oh, really? Were you there to cover up Toby’s tracks then?” Wilden questioned sarcastically.
“I found it like that,” Emily continued tearfully. “It was already destroyed when I got there.”
“And, this,” Wilden ignored Emily’s words and pulled out a piece of paper from his coat pocket. “Would you like me to share this with your friends or would you?”
Emily looked horrified and tried to snatch the paper from Wilden, but he held it away from her. Meanwhile, the rest of the four girls looked on, feeling confused and helpless.
“Go ahead and tell them, Emily,” he said with what [Y/N] would call a purely evil smile. “Tell your friends about the angry letter you wrote to Alison.”
“You had no right to read that,” Emily said tearfully, wrapping her arms around herself, [Y/N] instantly side-hugged her as she was standing next to her.
“What’s in the letter, Em?” Spencer asked softly.
“Tell her, Emily,” Wilden snarled. “Tell her how you wanted to punish Alison for rejecting you. Tell her how you felt relieved at her funeral.”
“I went back to the memorial to say that I was sorry,” Emily said as [Y/N] rubbed her back. “I wrote that letter in anger and- and I didn’t mean the horrible things I said to her. I- I loved her as- as more than a friend.”
Emily looked down as she finished speaking, leaving her friends in surprise. They had no idea that Emily was in love with Ali.
[Y/N] held Emily tighter when she felt the latter shake in her arms. Her hatred for Wilden was increasing day by day. She couldn’t believe he would go ahead and reveal such personal information about Emily. It should’ve been totally up to Emily on when or if she would’ve preferred to share this with her friends.
“Give her the letter back or I swear to god–” Hanna demanded, facing Wilden with fiery eyes.
“Sorry, can’t do that,” was Wilden’s smug reply as he kept the letter back in his coat pocket. “We’re not leaving the room until Emily here tells me why she was carrying around pieces of Alison’s memorial!”
“Detective Wilden,” a familiar voice called and their heads turned towards the doorway of the library to see Jason standing there.
He walked further inside the library, towards the detective and his sister’s friends. His eyes were narrowed and suspicious as he looked at the familiar faces gathered there. His suspicion soon shifted to concern when he noticed a teary Emily being held by [Y/N]. He looked at [Y/N] in question while she looked back at him helplessly.
“What’s going on here?” he asked sternly, turning to Wilden. “Shouldn’t they be with the other students?”
“It’s good that you’re here too,” Wilden smirked, taking Emily’s letter to Ali out of his coat pocket again. Then, he proceeded to show Jason the pictures of Emily at Ali’s trashed memorial, the figurines in her bag, and the letter.
“Stop,” [Y/N] interrupted before Wilden could explain the contents of Emily’s letter to Ali. “Jason, Emily didn’t do this, okay? She would never!”
“I believe you, [Y/N],” Jason replied instantly. “Emily or you girls are the last people I would expect to destroy Ali’s memorial.”
“The proof is right here, Jason,” Wilden scoffed in disbelief.
“Just because you can’t find the ones who committed the crime doesn’t mean you can go around and accuse my sister’s friends,” Jason said back. “Besides, you shouldn’t even be talking to these girls without their parents present!”
While Wilden was staring down Jason, Hanna was quick to grab Emily’s letter from his hand before moving back and the detective glared at her.
“Spencer?” another voice called and they turned around to see Veronica Hastings walk into the library, observing the people present there, especially Jason and Wilden rather cautiously.
“Who are you?” Wilden questioned, annoyed. He was already in a foul mood as Jason hadn’t believed his accusations against Emily.
Veronica was not at all fazed by the detective’s rude tone and her face was a mask of calm as she came to stand next to Spencer.
“Her mother,” she replied simply before her eyes fell on a crying Emily, then she turned to her daughter. “Honey, why is she crying?”
“Detective Wilden accused her of killing Alison,” Spencer replied.
“What?” Veronica asked, baffled.
“He also went through her purse and continued to accuse her,” Aria added.
“Hold on, you’re questioning minors without an adult?” Veronica questioned the detective angrily. “What police department do you work for? What century are you in?”
In the next few minutes, Veronica Hastings successfully shut Wilden’s mouth, causing him to leave the library in irritation while she proceeded to take the girls back to the locker room.
[Y/N] slowly trailed behind her friends and Spencer’s mom. She knew Jason was standing behind them and could feel his eyes on her. A part of her wanted to thank him for standing up to Wilden for her friends and her, while the other part was nervous to do so with a mini audience.
With these thoughts swirling in her head, she was already outside the library when a hand held hers, stopping her. She looked to her right to see Hanna giving her an understanding smile.
“Go talk to him,” she said softly. She glanced at Aria, Emily, Spencer and Veronica, who were walking ahead of them.
“Han,” [Y/N] protested weakly.
“Go, I’ll cover for you,” Hanna interrupted. “Just be quick.”
“Thanks, Han,” [Y/N] said before turning around and walking to the library again. Once she reached inside, she saw Jason still standing in the same spot, staring at the ground and lost in his thoughts.
“Jason?” she called softly, not wanting to startle him.
He looked up at her, surprise evident in his eyes.
“[Y/N]? Is everything okay?” he asked in concern, walking towards her and she met him in the middle of the library.
“Yes, yes,” she breathed out, nervously fiddling with her fingers as her gaze moved around the library for a few moments before finally meeting his attentive, green orbs. “I just wanted to thank you. For standing up to Wilden for Emily… and the rest of us.”
His lips pulled into a small smile as he looked at her.
“You don’t have to thank me,” he replied, shaking his head. “Wilden had no right to accuse Emily and intimidate you girls.”
“We’re kinda used to it by now,” [Y/N] shrugged with a humorless chuckle and Jason’s smile faded.
“Has he been bothering you and your friends?” he asked, a protective stance taking over him. “Do you want me to file a complaint against him?”
“No, Jason, don’t worry about it,” she shook her head. “I’m sure Mrs. Hastings scared him enough. You saw the way he kinda ran out of here, right?”
“Yes, but still…” he sighed.
“I’m sure he won’t bother us anymore,” she said, smiling reassuringly at him.
“Okay, I believe you,” he finally nodded, smiling back at her.
“I should go now,” she said, slowly walking backwards. “Thank you again.”
“Anytime, [Y/N],” he answered and she gave him one final smile before walking out of the library.
Once [Y/N] was out of his sight, Jason sighed and looked down at the carpeted floor of the library, wondering if it was right to feel the way he did for his deceased sister’s best friend.

—————
The bell rang at the end of the last period, marking the school day as complete, and [Y/N] [Y/L/N] let out a heavy sigh. Half of the class was already out the door and [Y/N] quickly packed her things before exiting the classroom as well. As she got near her locker to grab her coat, her pace slowed as she noticed one of her best friends waiting for her.
"Han?" [Y/N] asked in surprise.
"There you are!" Hanna exclaimed as [Y/N] stopped in front of her.
"Not that I'm not happy to see you, but what are you doing here?" [Y/N] asked in confusion.
"Ouch," Hanna threw her head back dramatically, causing [Y/N] to laugh as she opened her locker.
"Okay, Hanna banana, I thought we were supposed to meet at Spencer's?" asked [Y/N] as she grabbed her coat and shut the locker before leaning against it to face Hanna.
"Yes, we were," Hanna nodded in agreement. "I wanted to wait for you though."
"I just… I figured you might not wanna walk in there… alone," Hanna explained further when [Y/N] seemed confused and the latter's expression fell as she understood what her friend meant.
Jason DiLaurentis was back in Rosewood to help organize his sister, Alison's memorial, and [Y/N] along with her friends were supposed to meet him after school. It was already difficult to accept that Alison was no more and it was harder planning a memorial for her. It all felt unreal.
On top of that, it was extra hard for [Y/N] to come face to face with the man she had feelings for. It started out as a simple crush on her best friend's older brother when Alison initially introduced them. Later on, [Y/N] couldn't help but develop feelings for Jason despite knowing that she probably shouldn't.
"[Y/N/N]?" Hanna's voice pulled [Y/N] out of her thoughts. "You okay?"
"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine," [Y/N] smiled, nodding.
"Look, you don't have to do this," Hanna said, taking [Y/N]'s hand in hers. "I'll just tell the others that you weren't feeling well. Once Ja- he leaves, I'll text you and you can stop by Spencer's if you'd like."
"It's okay, Han, I can do this," [Y/N] replied, smiling softly at her friend's concern for her.
Hanna smiled back, and the two walked out of the school and towards Hanna's car. On the way to Spencer's house, Hanna kept chatting about various topics, hoping to keep her bestie's mind off of the upcoming meeting with Jason. Although [Y/N] responded, it didn't take long before her mind went back to the time Hanna had first confronted her about her feelings for Jason.
[Y/N], Aria, Emily, Hanna, and Spencer found themselves in yet another college party Alison had sneaked them into with fake id’s.
Alison was nowhere to be seen while the other girls decided to stick together. In order to avoid any unnecessary attention, they sat in a corner and chatted among themselves.
That was when [Y/N]’s eyes fell on Jason, who stood by the bar with a bottle of beer in his hand. He looked like a mess, but she thought he looked gorgeous, nevertheless. The top few buttons of his navy blue shirt were left open, giving the perfect view of his tanned skin, and his silver chain hung rather crookedly around his neck. His denim jeans hung loosely on his hips, where his shirt was half tucked messily. His dirty blond hair was disheveled - a result of him running his fingers through the long strands throughout the night. His green eyes were glazed and unfocused as he scanned the surrounding now and then.
This was Jason DiLaurentis ever since [Y/N] had known him. He was either drunk or high along with his best friends, Ian and Garrett. On top of that, his parents didn’t seem to care about how Jason was doing, and Ali never left a chance to taunt and demean her brother. He was destroying his life, himself, and [Y/N] truly felt awful for him.
She felt like he could do so much better with life if he got help. She also couldn’t help but think that there was a different person underneath the rude and uncaring persona Jason displayed almost all of the time.
[Y/N] looked on worriedly as Ian dragged Jason off towards the back of the cabin and sighed to herself. She sometimes wished she could talk to Jason, but didn’t have the courage, thanks to his intimidating image.
“Hey, [Y/N/N]?” Hanna called.
“Yeah?” [Y/N] whispered. She was nervous that Hanna and the rest of her friends might’ve caught her staring longingly and worriedly at Jason.
“I need to use the bathroom, come with me?” Hanna asked.
“Yeah, sure,” [Y/N] replied, a little relieved.
“We’ll be back soon,” Hanna told the other three girls as she and [Y/N] stood up from their seats.
“Should we come with you two?” Spencer asked in concern. “I don’t like the idea of you two going around this place by yourselves.”
“We’ll be fine, Spence,” [Y/N] smiled in reassurance.
“Yeah. If we’re not back in ten minutes, send a rescue team,” Hanna stated mysteriously, causing [Y/N], Aria, and Emily to laugh while Spencer shook her head fondly.
“Let’s go,” Hanna told [Y/N], looping her arm around the latter’s.
The two girls made their way through groups and groups of strangers before finally reaching the bathroom.
“I’ll be here,” [Y/N] smiled at Hanna, leaning against the wall outside the bathroom.
However, her blonde friend pulled her inside the bathroom, making [Y/N] let out a yelp.
“Han, what are you doing?” [Y/N] asked in surprise when Hanna quickly locked the door.
“I need to talk to you,” Hanna said.
“Is everything okay?” [Y/N] asked in concern.
“I see the way you look at him, [Y/N/N]” Hanna said softly, causing her friend’s eyes to widen.
“W- what- who are you talking about, Han?” [Y/N] asked nervously.
“Jason, of course,” Hanna replied and there was no judgement in her eyes nor her tone.
[Y/N] opened her mouth and closed it, unable to come up with a reply.
“It’s okay, [Y/N/N],” Hanna said, standing next to her friend and wrapping a comforting hand around her shoulder.
“Am I that obvious?” [Y/N] asked with a defeated smile.
“For me, yes,” Hanna answered. “Have the others asked you anything about this?”
“No,” [Y/N] shook her head.
“And… how about Ali?” Hanna asked hesitantly. “Do you think she maybe knows?”
“God, no. I don’t think so,” [Y/N] sighed. “She would kill me.”
“Hey, it’s okay,” Hanna said kindly. “You can’t help who you have feelings for.”
“It’s just a crush, Hanna banana,” [Y/N] chuckled softly. “I’m sure I’ll get over it, get over him, soon.”
“[Y/N/N], crush was last year when all you had was heart eyes for him,” teased Hanna, causing her friend to roll her eyes fondly. “Well, you still have heart eyes whenever he’s around. But, now, you look genuinely worried about him.”
“I- I don’t know,” [Y/N] shrugged. “I just… I feel bad for him. His addiction’s gotten worse since we met him, I feel. His family doesn’t seem to care about him and he doesn’t have the greatest set of friends either. I feel like he can do better with the right guidance. That’s all.”
“Do you think you can talk to him into getting help?” Hanna asked.
“Oh god no,” [Y/N] denied right away. “I don’t have the guts to go in front of him.”
“What, why not?” Hanna asked.
“There are so many things that can go wrong, Han,” [Y/N] replied. “One, Ali could find out and make the rest of my life miserable for even thinking of her brother. Two, Jason would probably laugh in my face if I went to have a heart to heart with him.”
Hanna smiled sadly and [Y/N] was quick to reassure her friend.
“Don’t worry about me too much, okay?” she smiled. “Like I said, it’s just a crush I’ll get over soon.”
“I’m right here if you need someone to talk to,” Hanna said back.
“Thanks, Han,” [Y/N] hugged the blonde. “I love you.”
“Love you more,” Hanna replied and tickled [Y/N] causing the latter to giggle as the two pulled back from the hug.
“Let’s go before Spencer marches in here looking for us,” [Y/N] said and Hanna agreed.
“You keep zoning out on me,” Hanna complained with a pout and [Y/N] laughed, shaking her head.
“Sorry," she replied sheepishly and Hanna rolled her eyes fondly.
The two girls arrived at Spencer’s house faster than [Y/N] would’ve liked.
“You ready?” Hanna asked her friend.
'Nope,' [Y/N] thought.
“Yep,” she replied to Hanna before they got out of the car and walked towards their friend’s house.
Hanna opened the door and moved inside the house first as [Y/N] followed behind quietly.
“There they are,” Jason said with a smile and [Y/N]’s breath hitched at hearing his voice after so long.
“Jason, hi,” Hanna greeted him with a hug. “Sorry, we’re late.”
“No worries,” Jason replied to Hanna before turning towards [Y/N].
“Hi Jason,” [Y/N] greeted Jason with a hug too, trying her best to ignore her thudding heart.
“Hey, [Y/N], it’s good to see you,” Jason returned her hug with a smile.
“Likewise,” [Y/N] pulled back from the hug and gave him a small smile before grabbing a seat next to Hanna.
“So, I was saying,” Jason began, standing on the opposite side of the island to face all the girls. “You girls have done a lovely job on the memorial. I might have done a thing or two differently. We can adjust along the way though.
“Here’s a copy of the program,” he said, handing the girls each a small booklet.
“I emailed you the program we worked on,” Spencer said, sitting straight in her seat.
“Right, I saw the draft,” Jason said nonchalantly. “This just fine-tunes it.”
From the corner of her eyes [Y/N] could tell Spencer wasn’t too happy with his words. Jason talked more about the program before he paused when his eyes fell on the photo of his sister.
“Is this the picture for the program?” he asked, his voice softer than before.
“Yes,” [Y/N] answered when no one else did and Jason’s eyes fell on her. “It’s everyone’s favorite.”
“It’s the one I would’ve chosen,” he replied.
[Y/N] nodded with a small smile and Jason returned the gesture before he looked away.
“I thought I’d be able to get my whole family out here, but at the last minute, my mom…” Jason trailed off with a sad sigh. “It’s crazy talking about this, isn’t it? When I think about Ali, I think of you guys. All of you in her bedroom, laughing and keeping secrets. Long time ago now.”
The girls remained silent as they didn’t know the right way to respond to him. This was actually the very first time they were all having a conversation with Jason in the first place.
The clock ticked as they talked more about the memorial- well Jason talked while the girls listened.
“Oh and I’m adding one more speaker to the program,” he said, writing down a name.
[Y/N] and Emily were the first ones to notice the name as they sat the closest to where Jason was standing. The two looked at each other with almost terrified eyes, increasing the other three girls’ anxiety.
“Jenna Marshall?” Emily was the first to ask, causing Aria, Hanna and Spencer to look at each other in shock.
“Wait, you want Jenna to speak at the dedication?” [Y/N] asked next, trying her best to not stammer through the sentence.
“That’s right,” Jason replied casually.
“Why?” Spencer asked suspiciously.
“She asked me if I could,” said Jason.
“Jenna asked to speak?” Aria asked, wanting to make sure she and her friends weren’t hearing things.
“Yes, she did,” Jason replied with a frown. “Is there a problem?”
“It didn’t occur to us that Ali and Jenna were that close,” [Y/N] added calmly, hoping to lessen the tension that was slowly brewing.
Jason turned to face her and he visibly relaxed, nodding in understanding.
“I didn’t know either,” he said. “Jenna called and told me that my sister was a lot of help to her after the accident.”
The girls looked at each other, silently wondering what exactly Jenna was up to.
“Well, concentrate on what you guys are going to say and leave the rest to me,” Jason said, packing his things, oblivious to the difficult situation he had put the girls under. “Now, I’m going to have a talk with Detective Wilden and find out why they still haven’t located Toby.”
“It’s good to see you girls,” he said with a polite smile and turned to leave. [Y/N] didn’t know if she was imagining things but she could’ve sworn that Jason passed her one last parting smile.
Spencer moved to walk Jason out and [Y/N] shook her head to clear her thoughts. She had more pressing matters at the moments, such as Jenna Marshall. Hanna checked her phone as they waited for Spencer when suddenly [Y/N]’s phone binged.
Aria and Emily looked at [Y/N] with alerted eyes while the latter nervously took out her cellphone. [Y/N] instantly frowned when she saw that it was Hanna, who had texted her while sitting right next to her.
‘DON’T LOOK AT ME,’ the text read.
‘And, he totally likes you.’
“Someone we know?” Hanna asked, facing [Y/N] with a teasing glint in her eyes and making sure her other friends couldn't see her.
“Is it A?” Aria asked nervously.
“Don’t worry, it’s just spam,” [Y/N] smiled at Aria and Emily, who relaxed at her response.
‘You’re a brat,’ [Y/N] quickly texted Hanna and the latter covered her laugh with a series of coughs.

—————
Night had fallen upon the town of Rosewood and [Y/N] found herself in the safety of her bedroom in her home. She was seated at her desk, trying to finish up her homework. However, the work laid open in front of her, unfinished as she found herself constantly getting distracted by the events of the past few months.
She had never once imagined that Ian’s death would bring up so much trouble for her friends and herself. The entire town seemed to believe the girls were liars, not believing their words of Ian being Alison’s killer. On top of that, she and her friends were still dealing with A along with therapy.
[Y/N] groaned and buried her face in her hands, thinking about the meeting with the therapist, Dr. Sullivan, earlier that day. She and the girls were close to telling the doctor about their cyber bully, and [Y/N] had to admit that it felt good.
But, as always, A was one step ahead and was successful in keeping the girls quiet. [Y/N] knew Dr. Sullivan must think she and her friends were crazy indeed by the way they had acted.
A knock on her door made her look up at the doorway and her parents along with her brother stood there with small smiles on their faces.
“You busy, kiddo?” her father spoke first.
“Uh, no, not really,” [Y/N] shook her head, closing her books and pushing them away. “Come on in.”
Her parents entered the room first and sat on her bed while she turned in her chair so that she sat facing them. Her brother came to stand next to her and perched at the edge of her desk, playfully messing up her hair. She gave him a playful glare before laughing when he stuck his tongue out at her.
The parents took a moment to admire their kids and the beautiful bond they shared. Reality hit them the next moment and they looked at each other sadly, knowing what they were about to ask next was going to take their daughter’s smile away, even if it would be temporary.
“So, sweetheart,” [y/m/n] began, clearing her throat. “Your father and I just got off the phone with your therapist a few minutes ago.”
Just as they had expected, the playfulness in [Y/N] faded as her expression turned serious.
“Oh,” she replied softly after a few moments. “Uh, yes, today was not a good day.”
“She didn’t tell us exactly what happened,” her father said next. “However, she did tell us that she doesn’t think it would be helpful to continue seeing you girls as a group.”
“So, she wants us to come in for individual sessions?” asked [Y/N], thinking that shouldn’t be too terrible.
“Well, yes,” her father continued after sharing a glance with her mother. “Also, based on your sessions, she’s making a recommendation.”
“Which I’m not a fan of,” her brother added to the conversation for the first time.
“W-what recommendation?” [Y/N] asked. Her worry grew with her brother’s words and she looked at him once before turning towards her parents again.
“Dr. Sullivan doesn’t think you girls are capable of maintaining a healthy friendship at the moment,” her mother explained with sympathy lacing her voice. “So, she’s recommending that you girls spend some time apart.”
“Are you saying that I can’t see or talk to my friends?” [Y/N] asked in disbelief.
“This is not forever, honey,” her father replied quickly.
“I don’t understand what the shrink is trying to do here by splitting up [y/n/n] and the girls,” her brother added. “They’ve been through so much. And, now with everything that’s happened with Ian, separating them is a terrible idea!”
“I know, son,” [y/f/n] sighed. “The other parents and we talked. We all mutually agreed that Dr. Sullivan’s suggestion might be for the best.”
“Unbelievable,” [y/b/n] muttered with a shake of his head.
“[Y/N], sweetheart, say something,” [y/m/n] said softly.
“I- I don’t know what to say,” [Y/N] replied with a shrug. “It looks like you guys have already decided.”
“It’s just temporary, we promise,” her mother answered apologetically.
[Y/N] dropped her gaze to the floor. She wanted to be upset and throw a tantrum, but that was not her. At the same time, she knew without a doubt that she and her friends would not just stop hanging out.
Even with this new restriction from their parents, [Y/N] was sure that she and the girls would find a way to connect and deal with the fallout from Ian’s death as well as the threat of A. They had to.
“I understand,” she said, looking back up at her parents with a light smile.
Her parents gave her a hug and thanked her for being understanding before leaving her room. Her brother, however, hung back with a suspicious look in his eyes.
“What?” [Y/N] asked, crossing her arms across her chest.
Her brother didn’t reply and waited until he was sure their parents were downstairs and out of earshot.
“You and your friends are not gonna listen, are you?” he asked quietly, his lips curled in a smirk, and [Y/N] sighed.
“Look, I feel bad, but we can’t just not hang out,” she answered softly. “There’s a lot going on and we need each other.”
“Hey, it’s going to be okay,” her brother’s playfulness disappeared and he moved to hug her, not liking the fact that his little sister was under a lot of stress. “I’m on your side in all of this. If you need anything, I’m right here.”
“I know,” she said, hugging him back. “Thank you.”
“Just be smart in sneaking around, though,” he teased, pulling back from the hug and ruffling her hair.
“For sure,” [Y/N] chuckled, nodding in agreement.
Later that night, [Y/N] was woken up by the vibration of her cellphone on the nightstand. She grabbed the phone to see a text message from Spencer: ‘S.O.S.’
[Y/N] quietly made her way down the stairs to grab her coat and sneakers. Just as she finished wearing her coat, her phone vibrated yet again and she checked it to see a text from Hanna this time: ‘I’m waiting in your backyard.’
[Y/N] loved that she and Hanna were not only the best friends but neighbors as well. That was how they became close, anyway. Still when it came to sneaking out at night to meet up with her friends, she wasn’t a big fan as she didn’t like the dark. But with Hanna, it was easier and she didn’t feel as scared.
She hurriedly wore her shoes and slipped out of her house through the backdoor to see Hanna waving at her while her other hand was buried in her coat pocket.
“Can’t believe Dr. Sullivan thought she could keep us apart from each other,” Hanna scoffed when [Y/N] reached her. “You can’t tell a lot about a person by their shoes, after all.”
“We’ll talk about it later,” [Y/N] said, half amused as she dragged Hanna with her. “Now, let’s go.”
The night was dark and chilly as the two friends made their way towards the greenhouse where Spencer had told the girls that she would be waiting.
When [Y/N] and Hanna reached the greenhouse, Aria and Emily were already there with Spencer. The five girls huddled closer together and Spencer began to explain about why she had messaged them all so late.
“Anyone could’ve sent that, Spence,” Aria was the first to speak after Spencer showed the girls a text that Melissa had received from an unknown number.
“Yeah, it could be some jerk trying to mess with Melissa,” Hanna added.
“Maybe, but it doesn’t seem random,” Spencer sighed, looking down at the message again and reading it. “It’s not safe. I can’t tell you.”
“I can’t tell you what?” Emily asked, her brows furrowed in thought.
“Wherever he is,” Spencer said, sounding confident.
“Spence, Ian is dead,” [Y/N] spoke, wrapping her arms around herself. The thought of Ian being alive made her feel uneasy. “I mean, we all saw him, didn’t we?”
“True,” Hanna said, touching [Y/N]’s forearm over her coat. “But, there’s only one way to know if its Ian texting Melissa or not.”
The other girls looked at Hanna curiously as she looked at Spencer with determined eyes.
“Answer him, Spence. Ask him something that only Ian would know.”
Spencer nodded before typing, ‘how do I know this is you?’
‘Ask me anything,’ came the reply almost immediately from the unknown number.
“I know,” Spencer whispered to herself before her fingers flew over the phone’s keyboard. “What are we naming our baby?”
“What’s the baby’s name?” [Y/N] asked once Spencer finished typing.
“Taylor,” Spencer replied just as the phone in her hand buzzed. She took in a deep breath before looking at the phone only to gasp out loud the next second. With wide eyes, she showed the phone screen to her friends who all showed similar expressions.
‘Taylor,’ the text read.
“It is him,” Hanna whispered in disbelief.
“Oh my god,” Emily said just as [Y/N] spoke, “Ian is alive.”
As if the girls weren’t already terrified, the wind outside suddenly picked up and the greenhouse’s doors started to slam over and over again.
“Did things just get incredibly worse?” Aria asked, trying to speak louder over the sound of the wind.
“I don’t believe this,” Emily said, shaking her head. “Ian’s dead.”
“Zombies don’t text, Emily,” Hanna said sarcastically. “He is alive somewhere.”
“Spence?” [Y/N] called when the girl in question remained silent for a long time.
“I have to get this phone home before Melissa notices that it’s gone,” Spencer said, her lips almost trembling.
“Okay and then what?” Hanna questioned as the wind continued to blow rather wildly outside. “What do we do about this information?”
“Do we tell the cops?” Aria asked, shivering a little.
“That’s not a good idea,” [Y/N] answered. “Telling the cops never works out well for us.”
“True,” Emily sighed in defeat.
“Why is Ian texting Melissa anyway?” Aria asked but before Spencer could answer, Hanna added, “And, why is Melissa answering him?”
“Is she?” asked Emily, skeptic. “I mean, we don’t know how long this has been going on.”
“Spence, you’ve got to find out what Ian told Melissa,” Aria said to the stressed-out girl. “You are the only one who can find out what he wants.”
“And, where he is,” Hanna commented.
The slamming of the door got louder than before and suddenly rocks started to fall off the roof, causing the girls to panic further.
“Let’s get out of here,” [Y/N] spoke, grabbing Hanna and Aria’s hands, who were standing next to her, and dragging them towards the exit. Emily and Spencer weren’t far behind.
Once they got to a safe distance from the greenhouse, things were strangely quiet except for the soft chirping of crickets. They walked down to Spencer’s house which was closer.
“Let’s just finish this at school,” Hanna spoke first. “I’m cold, damp, and scared. We could talk at school.”
“We can’t talk at school, remember?” [Y/N] asked once they stopped near Spencer’s house.
“Yeah, the five of us are supposed to have separate time,” Aria said in disappointment.
“Doctor’s orders,” Emily said with a roll of her eyes.
“So, what are we supposed to do?” scoffed Hanna. “Not talk to each other when we’re all literally in the same classes?”
“We just have to play it cool,” Spencer said calmly even though she was anything but after everything that happened.
Before the girls could talk further, a loud noise interrupted them. They turned in the direction of the noise and were surprised to see a familiar face outside the DiLaurentis house.
“It’s Jason,” Spencer whispered, surprised.
[Y/N], meanwhile, froze in her spot. The last time she had seen Jason was several months ago when he visited her at the hospital after A hit her with their car.
Even though it was dark, she could still make out his appearance and she was taken aback a little by what she saw. The last time he was in Rosewood, he seemed… put-together, for the lack of a better word. He wore suits and had his hair done nicely, not one strand out of place.
Seeing him now, however, reminded her of the old Jason. His hair had grown a little and fell over his forehead as he bent down. He was wearing a fitted Henley shirt that hugged his muscles with denim jeans. He definitely looked good and she had to try her best to not blush at her own thoughts, especially in front of her friends.
Hanna slowly slipped her arm around [Y/N]’s, pulling the latter out of her thoughts.
‘Did you know he was back?’ Hanna mouthed and [Y/N] shook her head in denial.
“Did he move back in?” Hanna asked, clearing her throat lightly.
“Looks like it?” Aria said, sounding unsure just like the rest of them.
“What is all that?” Spencer asked in confusion as she and her friends watched Jason throw away a bunch of things into the dumpster.
“That looks like all the stuff people left on their curb when Ali went missing,” Aria said.
“Maya said her family kept those things when they moved in,” Emily added. “They didn’t have the heart to throw them out.”
“Apparently, Jason’s moved on,” Spencer said with sarcasm and [Y/N] frowned at the brunette’s tone.
“What is he doing in that house anyway?” asked Aria.
“You know what? We’ve already got a lot on our plates,” Hanna said, trying to shift the conversation away from Jason. “Let’s just go home.”
“Han’s right,” [Y/N] said, grateful for Hanna’s interference. “See you guys at school tomorrow.”
The other girls agreed and said their goodbyes before splitting up.
“[y/n/n], did you know Jason was coming back?” Hanna asked again when it was just herself and [Y/N].
“No, I didn’t,” [Y/N] replied. “The last time I saw him was at the hospital. I remember he said he would be coming back but he didn’t exactly keep me updated. I mean, he didn’t have to.”
The girls soon reached [Y/N]’s backyard and paused in front of the door.
“Do you think he’s moved back for good?” Hanna asked softly.
“I don’t know,” [Y/N] shook her head. “But, why would he, though? It’s not like there’s anything here for him, is there?”
“You never know,” Hanna replied softly.
[Y/N] smiled a little at her best friend; the fact that Hanna was so hopeful regarding her and Jason touched her.
“Go get some sleep, Han,” [Y/N] said, playfully pushing the blonde in the direction of her house.
“You’re no fun,” Hanna pouted, walking backwards.
“Good night, Hanna banana,” [Y/N] laughed, opening the backdoor quietly.
“Good night, [y/n/n],” Hanna said back before the two girls entered their homes at the same time to get some sleep.
“Wait, so Jason doesn’t believe that Ian killed Ali?” [Y/N] asked in a whisper, glancing at the closed door of her bedroom once.
The next evening, [Y/N] was in her bedroom, scrolling through her twitter feed when she received a call from Spencer. The younger Hastings had gone to welcome Jason back to town – in other words, she had gone to spy on him – and it hadn’t gone so well. After returning home, [Y/N] was the first person Spencer had called to share how her conversation with Jason went.
“I mean, I think so?” Spencer replied in a whisper as well and [Y/N] could feel the frustration in her friend’s voice. “He asked me if Ian said the words I killed Ali and I told him he didn’t, but that’s what it seemed like and he got all snippy about it!”
Spencer huffed out a breath and [Y/N] bit her lip in thought.
“Do you think he’s in denial?” Spencer asked, continuing their chat quietly. “He and Ian were besties. He probably doesn’t want to accept that his best friend killed his little sister?”
“I’m not sure, Spence,” replied [Y/N]. “Even if they were best friends, Jason can’t just look past the fact that Ian killed Ali.”
“That’s what I’m saying!” Spencer agreed. “Hey, do you remember that one day Ali and Jason were fighting?”
“You have to be a bit more specific because all they did was fight around us,” [Y/N] said, mild amusement lacing her voice and Spencer scoffed out a laugh.
“I’m talking about the time Jason was mad at Ali for going to his room and messing with his stuff?” Spencer recalled and [Y/N] found herself nodding at the memory.
“I do,” she said. “That’s when Ali made that comment about things being hidden until she wants them found, right?”
“Yes!” Spencer exclaimed, trying her hardest to keep her voice quiet.
“But, why are we suddenly talking about the past?” [Y/N] asked, confused.
“I- I had a thought,” Spencer said, her words coming out slowly which worried [Y/N].
“What is it?”
“Jason used to be so aggressive, [y/n/n]. Do you think he-”
“Spence, don’t go there,” [Y/N] interrupted quickly.
“You didn’t let me finish!” argued Spencer.
“You were going to suggest Jason had something to do with Ali’s murder,” [Y/N] said, not liking the words that left her mouth. Spencer’s brief silence on the other end was all the answer [Y/N] needed to know that she was right. “Where’d you get the idea that Jason could be an accomplice in Ali’s murder?”
“I don’t know what else to think,” Spencer admitted quietly. “He’s suddenly back in town and doesn’t believe Ian killed his sister.”
“Don’t do this, Spence,” [Y/N] advised softly. “We’ve already got zombie Ian and A on our hands. Let’s not add Jason into the mix.”
“I guess so,” sighed Spencer. “I’m sorry.”
“No, don’t be,” [Y/N] replied. “I understand we’re all kind of on the edge right now. But, let’s not overthink. For now, at least.”
“I’ll try,” Spencer sighed again, dramatically this time, causing [Y/N] to chuckle.
“Hey, I should go now,” said [Y/N]. “I’ve been in my room for a while now. I should make an attendance downstairs for dinner.”
“Yeah, of course,” Spencer laughed. “See you in school tomorrow?”
“Definitely,” [Y/N] responded. “Good night, Spence.”
“Good night, [y/n/n],” Spencer replied before hanging up.
...
The girls were sneaking out yet again in the middle of the night. [Y/N] was starting to dislike Dr. Sullivan because she hated that greenhouse with a passion. It was creepy, to say the least, but she and her friends had no other choice.
“It was in the pocket of her coat,” Spencer said, showing her friends pictures of Melissa’s ultrasound. “Her coat was wet and so were her boots.”
“She lied to you about going out?” [Y/N] asked.
“I don’t think she went far,” replied Spencer. “I checked the driveway and it was dry under her car so I don’t think she drove anywhere.”
“Who would she want to show these to?” Aria asked, handing the ultrasound pictures back to Spencer.
“I can only think of one person,” Hanna said with a roll of her eyes.
“Ian,” Emily said, letting out a deep breath. “Spencer, if you’re saying she didn’t drive anywhere to see him, then that means he must be close.”
“Han, you were right,” Spencer said. “This is the worst time to be splitting up. We have to stick together.”
“Exactly, no matter how much lying it takes,” Hanna nodded.
“If only all of our parents were like my brother,” [Y/N] sighed.
“Can we switch siblings?” Spencer pouted at [Y/N], who instantly shook her head.
“Absolutely not,” [Y/N]’s instant reply was met with light laughter from her friends and they all cherished it. It had been a while since they’ve had the chance to be normal teenagers and to just have fun.
“Let’s get out of here,” Aria said after a while and the girls agreed before walking out of the greenhouse.
They were passing by the DiLaurentis house again when Emily suddenly stopped in her steps, causing the other girls to do the same.
“What is that?” she asked, looking at what appeared to be garden supplies laying on the front yard of the house.
Before they could inspect further, a bright flashlight shone in their faces and they held their hands in front of their eyes.
“Jason?” Spencer asked first, squinting at the taller man and he finally lowered the flashlight.
“Oh, it’s you,” he said after he noticed the familiar girls in front of him.
“Yeah, it’s only us,” Aria answered with an awkward smile.
He turned off the flashlight and when he looked up, his gaze fell on [Y/N].
“Hey, are you better now?” he asked her, his voice softening. “I haven’t seen you since the accident.”
“Oh, uh, yes, I’m better now. Thank you,” [Y/N] replied, smiling lightly at him. She felt nervous with his attention on her. It also didn’t help that she could feel the curious eyes of Aria, Emily, and Spencer on her as well. Except for Hanna, the other girls didn't know about Jason visiting her at the hospital.
“So, what have you been up to?” Hanna asked Jason casually, shifting the attention away from [Y/N] for which the latter was grateful for.
“I’ve been replanting all day,” Jason replied. “I’m putting up a fence as well.”
“A fence? Why?” Spencer asked – her eyes and voice were obvious of her suspicion of Jason.
“Privacy, security,” Jason answered, his voice turning a little rough. “There’s a lot of curious creeps in the world and one way or another, people are gonna mind their own business.”
The girls looked at each other subtly, feeling a little uneasy with Jason’s piercing eyes shifting between them.
“You girls better go home,” he said before turning to walk back into his house.
The girls walked a little further away and stopped by the side of the road again when they heard the sound of Jason shutting the door.
“[y/n/n], you didn’t tell us Jason visited you,” Spencer shot instantly.
“I didn’t think it was important,” [Y/N] replied, shrugging a little.
“But, why did he visit you?” Aria asked, frowning in confusion.
“He was probably being nice, Aria,” Hanna answered before [Y/N] could. “And, yes, I know that he visited [y/n/n], because I ran into him there.”
[Y/N] looked at Hanna at the blonde’s easy lie. Hanna didn’t meet Jason at the hospital; [Y/N] had told Hanna about Jason visiting her with some get well soon gifts. Since Hanna was already aware of her feelings towards Jason, she was the only person [Y/N] felt comfortable sharing about his unexpected visit with.
“Look, he probably visited me, because he felt obligated to since he worked on Ali’s memorial with us,” [Y/N] said, hoping to move past this topic.
“That makes sense,” Emily said calmly after a few moments, which caused Aria and Spencer to loosen up a little as well. “And, am I the only one thinking who is Jason trying to keep out with that fence?”
“Keep out or keep in?” Spencer asked back, and [Y/N] could tell the former still believed that Jason was helping Ian hide and had some part in killing Ali.
“Look, it’s too late to be doing this,” Hanna said. Similar to [Y/N], Hanna had an idea of where Spencer might be going with this and she was exhausted to be working on any more mysteries for the night. “Let’s just do this at school tomorrow or whatever.”
[Y/N] internally sighed in relief when the other girls agreed with Hanna and parted ways, making their ways towards their houses.
“Thanks for the rescue back there,” [Y/N] told Hanna once it was just the two of them.
“Anytime, [y/n/n],” Hanna grinned, looping her arm around [Y/N]’s, making the latter chuckle.
The two made their ways towards their homes in comfortable silence, hoping to get some rest before facing the stressful days ahead.

Secret
Jason Dilaurentis x Female!Reader
Warnings: mentions of drug abuse, short
Summary: Y/n is Allison’s best friend and Jason is interested in her.
Tumblr media
Y/n L/n had been a friend of the Dilaurentis family ever since she was a little girl. She had grown up with them. She was practically part of their family.
As she became older, Jason started to see her as more than a family friend. She had matured quicker than any of her other friends and Jason took notice.
Y/n took notice as well, and the pair became close. Closer than her and Allison were. They began to hang out nearly everyday and Y/n considered Jason her closest friend, even though he had an issue with drug abuse.
When he left after Ali’s death, Y/n was lost. She eventually moved on and got closer with the girls.
Just as she felt like she was back to normal, he had come back.
The first time she saw him was from her house. Y/n lived right across the street from the Dilaurentis house and when Jason returned, his shirtless figure wasn’t hard to miss.
“Oh my god, you’re staring at Jason!” Hanna said, sitting on her bed.
“I’m not staring at him! I’m just making sure nothing gets into my yard!” Y/n said and Hanna rolled her eyes, knowing that her friend was lying.
The second time she spotted him was when she was on a run, she nearly toppled over his tools that had fallen onto the sidewalk.
“Woah there,” Jason said and reached out to catch Y/n before she fell.
“Sorry- I should have watched where I was going” She said and Jason shook his head.
“No, it’s my fault” He spoke and Y/n nodded her head.
“It was good seeing you, Jason.”
The third time she saw Jason was when he showed up outside her house, soaking wet from the rain.
“Jason? What are you doing here?” Y/n asked and he looked up at her.
“Can we talk?” He said and she nodded, leading him inside.
“Let me get you a towel” She said and grabbed him one from the closet.
“Can we maybe…?” Jason started “Catch up? Go to dinner this week?” He asked and Y/n nodded her head, a small smile on her face.
“I’d love that Jason. Come sit on the couch and I’ll make you some hot cocoa.” She said and moved to the kitchen.
Y/n got so engrossed in making the cocoa that she didn’t feel Jason’s presence behind her until he gently placed his hands on her shoulders.
She almost immediately leaned back into him, her heart racing.
“Jason, what are you doing?” She asked and he turned her to face him.
“I missed you, Y/n” He whispered and her breath hitched.
“I missed you too, Jason” She said and he smirked, gently leaning down towards her.
Y/n took this as him wanting to kiss her and she leaned up, before their lips connected though, Jason moved back a bit.
“God you are such a tease” Y/n remarked.
“Only for you” Jason said and connected their lips, pressing Y/n against the counter.
This continued until they were interrupted by a phone ringing.
Y/n giggled as Jason answered, talking to whoever was on the line before he hung up, pressing his lips to hers again almost immediately.
This was going to be a long night.
