there’s a lot i love about the party of the strahd campaign i play in and one of the top things is how pretty much everyone at the table is on some level taking Archetypal Class Expectations and breaking them over our knees. which i think is best demonstrated by a conversation we had last week:

“Stealing is wrong,” says the rogue, explaining this concept to the paladin.

“Unless you really need something,” interrupts one of the clerics.

“We don’t have time for moral relativism right now!” the rogue replies. This is a conversation they’ve had several times.
