Barr’s efforts as attorney general to disabuse President Donald Trump of the notion that the election was stolen from him were unsuccessful, Barr told the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 insurrection, according to clips of his deposition. By mid-December 2020, he feared that the president had “become detached from reality,” Barr said, as Trump pushed bogus claims that new evidence would flip the election to him. Barr found that evidence utterly unconvincing, he said, and told Trump that in several meetings in November and December. In at least one instance, Trump went out and pushed the claims publicly following Barr’s attempts to get him to stand down. Conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch obtained a tranche of emails that further prove the CIA played a key role in January 6.

According to the records obtained by Judicial Watch through a June 5 FOIA lawsuit, CIA bomb technicians were sent over to the so-called ‘bombs’ found at the RNC and DNC headquarters. They also had dog teams on standby.
