getting into tma and jonny sims' writing years ago really gave me brainworms like his entire writing structure and way of planning stories and building slow tension and dropping threads throughout a story fully rewrote my brain and the entire way i approach creative projects. now i'm sitting here working on my wip and i'm like, oh i'm such a structuralist, oh i love knowing exactly where i'm going, i love weaving a little web, i love giving the building tension enough space to breathe into mounting terror. everyone say thank you jonny sims.

MAN THE MUSICAL NUMBERS CAUGHT ME SO OFF GUARD I HAD TO PAUSE AND STARE FROWNING okok!!! so the thing was that one time agessss ago you said liking ml fanfics is just wanting to read the same story over and over again and after that textbook 2016 post reveal final kiss that sentence just flashed in my mind and everything that happened in the movie (the ladynoir patrol fighting in the rooftops, the adrien snapping at his dad, gabriel being actually decent) just shifted in context for me and the realization of how fanfic coded the movie is and how that directly related to my enjoyment was so clear i couldnt stop laughing hdhshsjs

i remember saying that and its STILL TRUE!! And honestly you're putting it in perspective for me, thats why i liked the things i liked about the movie. like the ladynoir patrol fighting on the roofs also did lowkey make my dreams come true they could have done whatever they wanted in the rest of the movie, that scene is what i live for.
And that last scene really did feel like it was out of a fanfic, A 2016 FANFIC, its OLD FANDOM VIBES. back when we were still chewing up the concept of a reveal and not picking apart the bones of adrien's identity like mad scientists.
I remember thinking im sure ive read this scene somewhere. idk where but i have. all of it in different pieces a million times.

hi i have a question! i’ve been listening to the ordem au playlist and thinking about this au recently.
in things we lost in the fire au, how did bagi get involved in the paranormal? was her team formed before she joined them, and how long have they been together?

Bagi's backstory isn't detailed, but Factorial and I have discussed in the past that her story is that Bagi (who works for the police doing digital forensics*) was working on what seemed to be a normal criminal case that quickly went sideways into the Paranormal. Some of her coworkers probably (definitely) died in the process. This is how she first met some members of the Order, who she ran into during this whole ordeal. She was officially recruited by Fit. Fit's main job is training and recruitment, so once she was settled, her team was usually just her, Etoiles, and Walter Bob, with Fit and/or others joining in occasionally if it's obvious they need an extra set of hands.
((*Yeah, digital forensics. This was a choice made mainly to avoid writing op!Bagi too closely to Liz Webber, a forensic scientist who worked with the police, but honestly op!Bagi being a police detective could still work, given that's different from forensics. She still would have gone to school for digital forensics, though, then ended up landing in detective work once she joined the work force. Going to school for one thing and doing something different---it happens. It's hard for me to imagine any version of Bagi sitting behind a computer for most of her job, is my point.))
Bagi has been part of the Order for less than a year by the time the events of Relative happens. Walter Bob and Etoiles were already pretty firmly seated in the Order by this time, and of course Fit has been here for years. (Fun fact: Etoiles was Phil's last recruit before he cut ties and retired! Phil still asks how Etoiles is doing whenever he calls Fit to say hello.)
After that case gone wrong and joining the Order, Bagi is...well, at her normal job, she's not particularly close with anyone. He coworkers (fed an "official story" cooked up by the Order's cover-up team) know that the case went sideways, that some of their colleagues died, and she doesn't like talking about it. She pulls away from them when it proves too difficult to look at them knowing that they don't know and can never know.
The people at the Order tell her it's a normal thing to feel, that it happened and happens to a lot of people when they're exposed to the Paranormal for the first time, but even so, by the time Relative happens, the only people she feels close to are still exclusively other members of the Order. She has her colleagues at work, but she doesn't have much of a social life with any of them. Finding a balance is proving to be difficult for her. And once again, she's told that's normal too.

Hhmmmm I have been inspired. Have a Constantine and Billy drabble.
“Hey, John, you there? John? Hello? Is the mirror on? Jooohhn! I can see you, ya know. C’mon turn around! C’moncmoncmon pleeeaaas--”
“Oh, for fuck’s sake!” Constantine threw the scrolls down on the desk and whipped around, snagging the cig from edge and glaring at the two-way mirror that sat innocently upon the bookshelf, right where he left it. Right where he could see and hear for whenever one trouble-prone Billy Batson could reach him. The little shit was lucky John deemed pants a worthy effort that day. “What?”
Billy grinned at him, all bright eyed and apple cheeked and very obviously up to no good. It was hardly a wonder why John liked the brat so much. “Do you know how I can get to the veil without actually going through it? I mean, how Marvel could?”
Sometimes, he also really hated how much he liked him.
Through the steady stream of smoke as inhaled and exhaled, John squinted suspiciously at the kid as he tossed the words about in his head for a moment. “Why the fuck do you wanna go there? Not trying to bring someone back from the dead, are you? Cause necromancy is nasty shit, especially for the Big Cheese.”
“No! I am not doing necromancy. I just need to get to the... the midpoint. Not quite here, but not there yet.” And he said all that in a way John was sure Billy thought he was being rightly clever. That he could dance around saying outright what he wanted, using half truths and side steps, as if John Constantine wasn’t the fucking master of that particular game.
“You mean you wanna get to the Crossroads.” It wasn’t a question.
“Yes.”
Well, John had to give him that - he knew when to not bullshit the bullshitter.
“No.”
“John--!”
“Do you even know what the Crossroads are? Literally and figuratively and spiritually - do you?”
“I mean--”
“No, no. Lemme finish.” He took a long drag just to give the kid time to pout and rethink whatever nonsense he wanted to get into. “The Crossroads aren’t for the likes of you nor me, got it. Because you know who resides?”
“Well, kinda--”
“The fuckin’ Fates, that’s who! And unless you’re going to them to tell personally and explicitly to fuck off, you’re not setting foot passed this plane of reality. Understood?”
Billy sighed loud and dramatic. A 50/50 on if John’s words got through. “I’m not trying to contact the Fates, John.”
Oh. Well, that was good.
Still, woulda been a joy to hear about bright and shiny Champion of Magic telling Fates to shove it.
“Then, why the fuck- This isn’t another stupid fuckin’ game Klarion is trying to rope you into, is it? Or a sorry sob story some poor dead sop gave to you about not wanting to move on? Cause there is no goddamn reason you should be having any sort of business there.” And the more Billy delayed telling him the actual truth, the antsier John got. But he knew, deep in his rotted, wicked heart, he knew how to follow these steps. Knew the script Billy wrote by because that was how he lived this long - testing the waters before going head first. John appreciated every wary bone in that kid’s body. Something had to balance out the overwhelming sense of compassion.
This time when Billy sighed, it was more resigned. More coming to terms with the inevitable fact that he was the one that contacted John because he needed to know something, and no matter what, John would tell it to him straight. Wouldn’t tell him no on the sole basis of whatever bullshit the League of Goody Fucks would feed him. Constantine may still very well say no, but he at least gave a good damn reason, thanks.
Blue gaze right on John, “I have business there cause I need to contact the Goddess Hekate to invite her to dinner.”
Oh, for fucks sake.
“Oh, for fucks sake, kid.”

ok so now that it has been brought to my attention that ganon in animal crossing likes to have the max amount of sugar in his coffee im having ganonbeck thoughts about it. he and linebeck get/make coffee or whatever and linebeck takes it black and forgets to drink any of it bc hes distracted by ganondorf damn near spooning an entire container of sugar into his coffee

this whole situation with my upstairs neighbors is making me sick with anxiety. management is on my side and they wouldn't be if they weren't doing something wrong you know. they've been here longer than me and have a kid and if management still wants to side with me after showing them the evidence of the noise and even suspected abuse then i shouldn't feel so bad but i do. im not trying to get a family evicted i just want quiet enjoyment of my apartment. take the kid outside to burn off energy and kick the asshole man out you know? i'm ok with some noise but it's just crazy what i have to deal with

TALKING.🤭#he is just like me he is also doesnt care about tea or coffee he is a water guy#HE ALSO HAS CAT.
