Organizational updates – February 2017

Jen Langlais was recently promoted as the Change Management and Training Lead for the University’s Workday implementation and is very excited about this opportunity.  Jen joined ITS 4 years ago as Training Specialist and then moved to a position as a Technical Analyst within the Administrative Computing team.  From there, Jen quickly ramped up on projects with campus departments regarding Banner integrations, data integrity, reporting and new systems implementation. Jen especially enjoys helping people to “work smarter, not harder”, and implementing process improvements to provide synergy between departments.   As part of the Workday project team, Jen’s role will be to help manage the significant change associated with the University’s move to Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) and Financials, and to provide training and support to campus users.   Jen is currently working with our Marketing team to develop a new Workday website focused to keep the campus informed about this exciting move to Workday, which is a modern, intuitive and mobile system that will transform how we work and use data on campus.  Do you have questions, concerns or any comments about Workday? Lisa Nagy has been promoted to the new position of “Role Management & Technical Analyst” for the Workday project from her most recent role as “Technical Analyst” with Administrative Computing. This new position encompasses role security with permissioned access to data and functionality in Workday as this strategic project continues on its implementation path, due for “Go Live” in January 2018.  Lisa sees this exciting new position as a natural extension of 10 years’ experience at the University supporting all users in expanding their technological learning, understanding and growing and streamlining their processes on a daily basis. Lisa has worked in ITS since 2007 in a variety of job positions and areas within ITS solidifying her experience with integrations, implementations and functionality of enterprise level software, understanding how all departments operate and need to interact with each other to function most effectively.

Laszlo Kovacs began his career here at Fairfield University as a temporary employee in October 2015.  Laszlo has considerable technical experience and quickly became a star performer. ITS was thrilled to be able to offer him a full time position in November 2016 as a Project Coordinator, with his primary focus being labs and classroom support.

Daniel Good has been an integral part of the ITS4U Help Desk staff as a senior technician since the summer of 2015.  He has an amazing work ethic and excels in the area of technology and customer service. When Leighton Haight retired in January of 2017, ITS saw a great opportunity to bring Dan on as a Jr. Computer Technician.

We welcome these new hires and look forward to collaborating with them to better serve our campus customers.
