Doing A 360.
A couple of years ago, we went to one of those traveling Van Gogh immersive experiences. It was a little pricey, but it was fun. I thoroughly enjoyed being surrounded by floor-to-ceiling video. It allowed me to enjoy Van Gogh’s works in a way that books and reproductions in art galleries could ever begin to accomplish.
But what if we could harness some of this presentation style and use it to sell things? A year ago, TIME Magazine said that such augmented reality (AR) is the future of online shopping. And this year, Target is doubling down on it, at least when it comes to toy shopping.
As a side note, Toys ‘R Us, take note. Target is doing something you cannot do in an airport or on a cruise ship, or even inside a Macy’s boutique shop. Their new 360-degree immersive online shopping experience is top-shelf, and stands head and shoulders above everything that Toys ‘R Us and all the other toy retailers can offer.
I took it for a test drive, and all I can say is this: If I were a kid, I’d be busy writing my Wish List right about now. Oh, and sharing the link with Mom and Dad. It’s that cool.
Tumblr media
Target is also trying to make bank this holiday season with a slew of toys at $25 or less, in response to inflation concerns and a tight economy. Make it cool, make it cheap, and wait for the shopping carts—virtual and IRL—to fill up. All this comes at a time when analysts are predicting record online discounts this shopping season.
And the rationale for an online sales pitch is compelling, because only three-percent of children 18 and under do not have internet access, either via a computer (93%) or smartphone (4%). Mom and Dad don’t have to take them shopping these days, because they can do it all at home, and hopefully without a POS (Parent Over Shoulder) to monitor.
The timing is also just as expected, because Target announced not long ago it would be launching its Christmas campaign the first week of October. They did not disappoint.
Immersive shopping allows for maximum interactivity in a virtual space. “Hot spots” on the screen are clickable, which spawn a pop-up to the side with full product details. Users can easily spend significant amounts of time on the site, which, of course, is the whole idea. In the land where engagement is king, Target is poised to become royalty.
Target’s offerings once again feature collaborations with long-time toy seller FAO Schwarz. These items are available only at Target. Other exclusives include the Disney100 Retro Reimagined Collection. I’m betting these will all be hot items this season. Anything to make your site a destination is shrewd.
And including entertainment in the online arena is just smart marketing, especially at a time when all the big retailers have websites. For kids and anyone else stuck in Short Attention Span Theatre, this is golden. Heck, I bet there might even be parents who are toy collectors perusing the site.
Because there’s a kid locked up inside everyone of us adult folks. Shopping at Target online this year may not be quite as much fun as the Van Gogh event, but it’s a nice alternative to otherwise mundane online shopping. I’m ready to take the plunge.

June 13th
The next day, I woke up and had a bagel that I had saved. I started to get ready early since, as a group, we decided that we wanted to dress up to go to the theatre. We knew we would be out all day so I planned to dress in layers. We stopped at the center for a couple of snacks.
Later on, we all met up at the bus stop to head over to the theater together. The bus was relatively close to the theater, and we made it to the Abbey Theatre just in time. The Theatre was built in 1904 and is rich in Irish history. However, the original theatre burned in the 1950’s and was revived in its current location today.
We toured backstage (pictures 3, 5, 6, & 8), learned about the founders, and peeked in on one of the makeup rooms. I had the opportunity to work on shows growing up as both an actor and in the tech crew. It was gleeful to see how a professional theater works.
After the tour was completed, we went to the Guinness Storehouse (pictures 7, 9, & 10). I had no idea what to expect, but it was so cool! It was interactive, interesting, and fun. There was a tunnel that was dark and black and as you passed through you entered a room of white light, and it felt heavenly. It was an experience. We went to the 360 bar up top for the beer tasting.
The 360 bar is a room where they serve you a complimentary pint of Guinness and sit with windows all around you while overlooking the panoramic views of the City. I noticed Dublin does not have a lot of skyscrapers. You can see everything without being blocked by steel and concrete.
After we drank our pint, we went back to Abbey Theatre for the play (picture 13). It was absolutely exhilarating. I was a little worried when I saw that it was a one-woman show, but it took my breath away. It made me laugh, cry, and feel every emotion in between. The storyline was about a woman who’s mother struggled with suicide. The daughter made a list of Every Brilliant Thing she could think of to remind her mother why she should continue to live. What was once her mother's coping mechanism turned into her own when she went through similar thoughts and feelings.
It was heartbreaking and empowering. I loved seeing the play in the Abbey Theatre and will tell everyone about the story of Every Brilliant Thing. Maybe even see the play back home.
June 14th
Today we had a class discussion that focused on art through music. We talked about how art and music have influenced our culture in ways we don't often see or hear. I listen to a lot of music that has some sort of message in it. Either subtle or the message is very clearly written and expressed. I like to listen to songs that tell the story of someone in love or someone who experienced a hard time or lost a battle. I think that there are a lot more songs describing the depth of emotions through happiness, feelings of sadness and fits of anger. This affects our culture because it influences the conversations we have. The more vulnerable people we have influence our converstaions, the more likely we will be vulnerable in our private lives.
My teacher keeps telling us all about how Irish people tell stories and how that is how they communicate. I have been seeing that more and more the longer I stay here. They tell stories of their culture and share it with others. The words then live on. I especially experienced this through the Pub Crawl (pictures 2, 4, & 11).
Later we went to a few national museums and observed Irish art (pictures 12, 14, 15, 16, 18, & 19). There were so many gorgeous paintings, sculptures, and photographs. You could visually imagine the scenery and story with every stroke. After we left the museums, we went to the National Library and took in the exhibits on Irish Literature and how it has grown over the years.
We then went to O’Neils for food and to see if they had the long anticipated Baileys Cheesecake. This time we were successful. After we ate, we strolled down the streets and looked in windows before heading back.
I packed for Scotland and our trip to Galway the next day. I can’t wait to go to Galway! I have heard so much about it, and it has been on my bucket list.
June 15th
I woke up and got ready to leave for the bus to take us to the train that would take us to Galway. We eventually got on the train, and I sat with my teacher and her family. We talked and I listened to music on the way there since the WIFI was not working.
Once we got off the train, we went exploring all that Galway has to offer. We went to the best fish-and-chips place in Ireland, tried oysters, went to a small bakery, souvenir shopped, and even found a used bookstore. I got so many great souvenirs in Galway.
I loved the atmosphere here. It felt so much like Barcelona. The city was alive and full of live music and friendly people. I wished we had more time to spend here. Eventually, we met with all the students in our group at the park and just talked. It was great to bond with everyone even more.
The train back was pretty uneventful. The wifi was still out, so I read some books I had downloaded on my phone. On the way back, we made fun of one of the girls in our group’s book that she was reading. She was reading a chapter that was NSFW and all of us, including our teacher, teased her about it. Eventually, we got off the train and went back to UCD.
I finished packing for Scotland since I had to wake up insanely early for my flight. Right before I went to bed, however, my classmate came over and gave me the book she had been reading. She said I could keep it and that it was an amazing read. I decided I would take it to Scotland with me and went to bed.

DAY8
If you could not tell from my last post, and my thoughts are wandering back to music, life, pretentious things like hair; that I was trying to get myself out of. But I guess habit is habit. I slscked over the weekend. Instead of spending my day off focusing on my new script and having it embedded in me, or making some of the new music that Sir told me to do, I barely did anything, I barely scratched the surface of the pile of Load. Past few months I have been doing that. I’m not hard on myself because I know everyone needs downtime, but throughout a pandemic, throughout my life pre-2022, I’ve gotten used to a lot of downtime. I’ve gotten used to getting distracted, doing things that are meaningless in the long run, and also giving into temptation. It’s okay, I have taken on more than I could chew, and I have this new place, new people, new projects, I haven’t watched TV, something that I used to do every single day since August. But I am still struggling with my focus. Today is the first day that we have real rehearsals. We did a little bit of a warmup and went straight into the play. The play is made into three acts act one add two add three are very different. We worked on act one, we worked on blocking, we worked on some dialogues. At this moment the lead roles have been assigned, but Sir says that they may change, I don’t have one. However I am responsible for leading the music part and though I thought a break from music is exactly what I wanted, I realise that what is better for the play is me taking charge of the music, I wanted to be a little more selfish, the last few years I have allowed everything else to come before what I want. But in this case I don’t feel like I’m putting anyone else’s needs first, this is my play, whether I play two lines or 130. Sir is very unhappy with the way that we have started running in and out. I said in my story, this is the first day I felt like rehearsals started, that is because it is true. We’ve chalked out the way that we are going to sit to stand and move enter, it was supposed to be a 360 audience but Sir makes it into three sides instead of four. We go home realising that there is so much more to do including the music. Sir ask me about this song, and in great shame I say I have not really finished it. He didn’t yell at me, but I felt the urgency of what was happening. Maybe I should put my whole focus on making this play and its music better, but I am so enjoying challenging myself in these acting things that I also don’t want to give that up. Over the weekend my friend Shaheen who is a long-term theatre actor told me if there’s any advice that he gives me it is to trust my director. So I decided to do so.
Mum leaves for foreign lands today. The half an hour I got to see her I was very anxious and she could tell. I didn’t really get a chance to converse with her because all I had in my mind was how am I gonna balance home. I got a balance. I did not very well. I left my work to the end of the night and ended up working from midnight to 1 am again. Why am I letting emotions from my personal life comes first? . They of course deserve their space, but I have to time manage better and get my homework done before I go into other things. And though I get a little bit done, I realise I’m not behaving at my hundred percent yet. And I need to. When I’m directing and others don’t do it, I really feel bad, I can’t do that to my director.
Henceforth I will be referring to Sir As my director.

Sony Revamps its "BRAVIA" Brand for a True Home Cinema Experience
Tumblr media
At a time, Sony's BRAVIA line of products was at the top of the industry, offering viewers a more refined approach to home entertainment with premium hardware and features. With that in mind, the company is looking to breathe new life into the BRAVIA brand with a lineup of new TVs and audio systems packed with enticing features for enthusiasts. CHECK OUT: Sony’s New ULT POWER SOUND Hardware is Sonically Impressive More specifically, Sony is unifying TVs, soundbars, and other home audio products under the BRAVIA brand, with the goal of acting as a one-stop shop for customers on the hunt for a complete entertainment package with matching design and features for a cohesive, fully-cinematic home viewing experience. The BRAVIA Line features seven new products across the BRAVIA TV and BRAVIA Theatre Home audio systems. Sony's new high-end TVs come in three different models consisting of the BRAVIA 9 QLED (mini LED, available in 85”, 75”), the BRAVIA 8 OLED (available in 77”, 65”, 55”), as well as the BRAVIA 7 QLED (mini LED, available in 85”, 75”, 65”, 55”). Meanwhile, the new home audio selection includes the BRAVIA Theatre Bar 9, BRAVIA Theatre Bar 8, BRAVIA Theatre Quad, and BRAVIA Theatre U. Yoshihiro Ono, Head of the Home Entertainment Business Unit at Sony, states: “Building on the decades of operating at the heart of the professional film production equipment development as well as film production and distribution, Sony is in a unique position that allows it to utilise its unparalleled film industry, professional equipment, and consumer electronics experience with its pioneering BRAVIA TVs and BRAVIA Theatre home audio devices... We’re excited to launch the new BRAVIA TV and BRAVIA Theatre home audio products that usher in new exciting features, elevating the way you can watch films at home to new heights." Sony says that its newest BRAVIA TVs can intelligently adjust colour, contrast, and brightness for a brighter home viewing environment while staying "faithful" to the creator's vision. Features like high peak brightness and precise backlight control make this possible, allowing viewers to see details even in bright scenes, especially in Studio Calibrated modes developed with streaming services. According to the company, the TVs come with dedicated hardware, including an XR Processor which analyzes data for "ultimate realism," an XR Backlight Master Drive that precisely controls LEDs for authentic contrast and shadow detail, "High Peak Luminance" for bright and natural scenes, as well as X-Anti Reflection and X-Wide Angle that reduce glare and provide better viewing angles. Of course, there's also support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. For sound, the BRAVIA line also features "Acoustic Multi-Audio+", which, according to Sony, is the World's first TV system with a built-in Beam Tweeter and Frame Tweeter for cinematic surround sound. There's also "Voice Zoom 3", which uses AI to amplify or reduce dialogue volume for clear conversations, and a new "Acoustic Center Sync" feature, which integrates soundbars with TVs to create a unified soundscape where sound appears to come from the screen. With the exception of the BRAVIA Theatre U, Sony's new audio products also feature proprietary 360 Spatial Sound Mapping technology, which creates multiple phantom speakers in locations where there are no actual physical speakers, such as above or to the side. This allows for a 360-degree spatial sound experience tailored specifically for a home setting, with a wide sound field that surrounds viewers with audio from various directions mirroring the cinema experience, without having to install physical speakers on the ceiling or walls. Users can also install the BRAVIA Connect app on their smart device to control specific settings for sound, audio products, and other related features. BRAVIA TVs and BRAVIA Theatre products are "IMAX Enhanced" certified, supporting select titles on SONY PICTURES CORE (formerly BRAVIA CORE) and Disney+. SONY PICTURES CORE will also offer a select Crunchyroll anime series for subscribers with an included streaming package. Existing Netflix and SONY PICTURES CORE modes are joined by a new Prime Video Calibrated Mode, which supports an even wider range of content. Read the full article

You have to seek them out. - Very addictive game and you get a great sense of adventure and exploration. - Find permanent shortcuts. - Unlock the option to auto salvage or auto-sell certain level items. Wo Long Fallen Dynasty Complete Edition Review Cons: - The game doesn't pause. - Cannot remap controls. - Huge difficulty spikes even Early on. - The combat takes some time to get used to. - All loot is the same drop icon so you don't know what you have until the text pops up. - The early game loot is almost redundant due to the free DLC you get. - I found it easy to stumble into boss fights. - In bright areas, it can be hard to make out loot and certain enemy types. - Ai pathfinding can be bad at times. - Still suffers from the Souls issue of you can just run past most enemies. - Your AI partners are not always great at fighting or helping. -Syed Hussain Raza Bukhari
During my research for the project, I listened to what everyone's expertise and wanted to go for a project that includes everyone's abilities.
One project that comes to mind is that we can make a space with different planets showing on the dome, like BCIS Phuket's "Planetarium & 360 immersive Theatre"
Tumblr media
and some references were from the Dome Club.
Tumblr media
The idea was that after opening up in space and showing planets, the camera will zoom into each planet one by one, showing the life there. One planet will have the world and people and environment made up of Concept Art.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then when zoomed into the 2nd planet, the audience will see a world of 2D games and its characters.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The third world would consist of 3D game and art style. People or environment.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This way, we would have everyone's expertise working and they all could work independently.

AI Predictions made July 9, 2023
AI generative fill will be used to rerelease old movies as immersive environments. Picture the scene at the end of Starwars where Luke hangs by his remaining arm at the end of the catwalk. The audience, watching with VR goggles or while sitting inside a 360 degree theatre, will be able to see the entirety of the reactor shaft in all its detail.
In an attempt to lure back audiences to the big screen, theatres will remodel, installing 360 screens to accommodate "Jaws in AI" or whatever. And it will work, driven in part by Millennial and gen X's nostalgia for the movie theatre experience, and by gen z and gen alpha who develop a deep appreciation for the movies and experiences of the pre AI era.
This is because Art history will stall at 2023. Due to the ease with which one can create an image using AI, art departments will disappear since anyone, an unpaid intern for example, can create the illustrations and photos needed to accompany articles, advertisements, or what-have-you. The general aesthetic of our time will just be a random pastiche of styles from the last two centuries, made by AI image generators rather than informed artists seeking to innovate, build upon and respond to aesthetic movements.
Old digital cameras from the 90's and early 2000s will become fashionable when AI image upsampling lets you make any image, even those taken by low resolution cameras, look like it was taken by a $5,000 DSLR Canon, or any camera/lens combo of your choice.
A similar thing will happen with audio. Perfect audio fidelity will be achievable through AI upsampling, turning a 30 year old Radio Shack lapel mic into a $2K Neumann.
This will destroy industries that create technology used to create, e.g. cameras, musical instruments, etc. The technology industries that survive this AI upsampling revolution are the ones focused on making things for the consumption of media, e.g. televisions, stereos, etc.
A pronounced generational divide develops between those who spent most of their life before AI vs. those who only ever knew an AI world. This divide can be best characterized as consumers vs. producers, with consumers being the children of AI who didn't develop skills outside of school due to their attention being robbed by social media apps and because generative AI made skills like writing and other creative pursuits less important and less useful.

Exploring the Fascinating Applications of Virtual Reality
A simulated experience known as virtual reality may take place anywhere in the world. Virtual reality headsets that wear over the head and may be worn like glasses or goggles are already widely known to most people.
Some of the most well-known and pricey VR headsets continue to be the Samsung Gear VR and the Oculus Rift. These link to virtual worlds that are accessible through smart devices or gaming consoles.
Similar to what you'd anticipate from a 4D production, other VR experiences incorporate several projected scenes that integrate more advanced senses like touch.
At least with VR headgear, you'll be able to experience everything in 360 degrees. With the correct add-ons, users of VR may be able to walk through and interact with an artificial environment in addition to being able to view around it.
Ten Virtual Reality Programmes
Although its actual origins are uncertain, virtual reality has long been a topic of discussion. But the ability to turn dream into reality has only just become a reality thanks to technology.
Here are 10 fields where virtual reality is having a breakthrough:
Tumblr media
1. Health Care Training is the most significant method that VR is modernising healthcare. Virtual reality (VR) creates a space where people may study and develop in actual, outside settings.
Specialists that need to carry out extremely precise surgeries can practise using VR without having to deal with an emergency.
Additionally, practitioners who need to familiarise themselves with the hospital setting can do so without added stress.
Additionally, the technology is employed in cognitive behaviour therapy, which gives patients with phobias and anxieties a safe setting in which to work through their issues.
2. EntertainmentOne of the earliest sectors to adopt VR was the entertainment sector, which continues to be one of its best uses today. You can see that virtual reality (VR) is widely used in the web and/or console gaming industries.
Similar to this, virtual reality (VR) is being implemented in theatres and theme parks to recreate movie-like adventures and enable visitors to experience their preferred cinematic classics.
3. Automotive VRHelps automakers in examining traffic situations and vehicle behaviour. Before creating a new model, they can evaluate and improve the prototypes using the simulated scenarios.
The creation of the smart automobiles that will dominate the market in the future makes extensive use of virtual reality. Artificial intelligence (AR) and virtual reality are being used to teach cars how to drive, turn, and stop.
4. Education Despite the perception that the education sector is a bit sluggish to adopt new trends and technology, VR has already showed a lot of potential.
For grownups, it implies that every industry may provide its workers professional training. However, VR is a component of instructional games, field excursions, and general world exploration for younger kids.
5. Military & SpaceGiven that these two businesses must work in hazardous places that are difficult to reach, VR offers circumstances for creating training scenarios that are as realistic as feasible.
With virtual reality, training may be conducted with the least amount of danger, and it can even assist soldiers who have experienced war trauma in overcoming their symptoms and preparing for novel or unexpected scenarios.
6. Architecture Using VR, architects are able to visualise their designs as well as experience them firsthand. This enables them to test the area before it is created and make adjustments in real time to satisfy customers.
7. Internet marketing Even though the majority of people dislike ads, seeing how a product is used up close may be both enjoyable and educational. Virtual reality has several uses in digital marketing.
Retailers, for instance, can display products to prospective customers in their homes. Alternatively, charities may develop more sympathetic message for political causes.
8. Workplace Safety Workplaces with mechanical or natural risks should be concerned about occupational safety and health (OSH).
These workplace risks may be addressed in a controlled simulation setting so that employees can learn how to react to them safely.
9. Psychology and social scienceA significant portion of this sector uses VR to let patients take on multiple personas and see reality from various points of view. Positive effects on future social interactions may be left by immersive settings.
10. TravelTry a vacation before you purchase it. No, I mean it. Tourism is a specific use of virtual reality.
You may take a guided virtual tour of any accommodations, attractions, dining establishments, or other places you might like to visit on your next holiday. When you do go, you'll be confident you won't be let down.
What Languages Are Used for Virtual Reality Programming?
Not all programming languages are suitable for the software and hardware intersection required to create technologies like VR.
Only a select few specialised languages are effective in this situation.
Tumblr media
C#
C# is a multi-paradigm, general-purpose language. It is most frequently used as a component of the Microsoft.NET framework, which includes a number of development tools. This includes the gaming engine Unity and the cross-platform Xamarin mobile development framework.
Unity is a platform for real-time 2D and 3D game creation, making it particularly crucial for creating virtual reality applications. Naturally, there would be no issue expanding this use case to VR gaming.
C++ An expansion of the well-known middle-level programming language C is C++. Low-level memory manipulation makes it possible for middle-level languages, like C++ by default, to work closely with hardware.
The language is utilised in Unreal Engine, yet another gaming engine, for the same purpose. The "most open and sophisticated real-time 3D creation tool…[delivering] immersive virtual worlds," according to Unreal Engine's marketing materials.
Java Java has been around for 25 years and is a multipurpose, object-oriented programming language.
Java is a fantastic language for creating virtual reality environments because of its low-level features, which partly mimic memory management in languages like C# and C++, and its enormous collection of built-in libraries.
JavaScript JavaScript was one of the first programming languages to provide dynamic web development, which helped it achieve initial prominence. JavaScript is used by the majority of online browsers, which makes it appropriate for the WebXR Device API, a platform that enables VR through your browser.
Python The top choices for development of virtual reality are the first four languages. However, Python merits a special mention. Python is quite simple to use and will expedite programming tasks, particularly those involving virtual reality.
A number of packages that can help with the development of apps for virtual reality are also included with the language.
A Developer's Guide for Virtual Reality Projects
You must first have some knowledge about virtual reality in order to employ developers for a virtual reality project.
For instance, you should have access to adequate information to comprehend how to select the project's tech stack, including the ideal language for development.
Considering that many virtual reality apps are in the gaming industry, you should also seek for developers with experience in game development. Your job applicants should have extensive expertise of the software development life cycle (SDLC), just like any developer, in particular because VR projects are sometimes high-stakes.
Last but not least, you want to think about outsourcing your expertise in virtual reality. This will make the most of your adaptability and almost certainly ensure professionalism and the success of your project. Using external developers to complete projects has grown in popularity.
Conclusion
Given the variety of applications for virtual reality, you may think more carefully about the technology that can help your company expand.
By selecting the appropriate programming language to utilise when creating VR applications, most of this is taken care of.
Finding a group of developers who can complete the task and execute it successfully is a significant additional factor. It might be challenging to learn how to select the best developer. Even as a substitute, some firms decide to outsource overseas.
Don't be hesitant to contact Trio for a free consultation if you're still not sure. We have developers that are interested in seeing your project through from beginning to end.
