to talk more about dredge, i love the way it organically moulds you into a lovecraft protagonist.

at the beginning of the game i was obsessively cautious about being away from port at night, about taking damage, about keeping my panic low.

but when you get caught out at night, you learn that the night isn't actually so bad! sure you see some weird lights, some spooky fog, but i was out for a whole hour and nothing hurt me at all! so you start intentionally staying out longer and longer, becoming complacent to the danger of the night.

at some point, you'll stay out all night on purpose, and by that point it is too late, you're about to learn what all those warnings at the start were about

New Sun Haven OC Ask! What's her name? Why did she come to the farm she's on now?

I never did mention her name have I? xD;; When I started the game I had zero idea what I wanted to play. I know I gravitate towards less busy races but come on, fantasy Stardew and I'm gonna play a human? No way xD; I saw the glowy halo and all it's variation and was instantly sold on the angel race and leafy halo!

Name was... actually difficult! I thought maybe a starry name? Or something short and sweet? I was thinking Seria? Or Cellia? But it didn't click for some reason. Eventually recycled my first Stardew Valley farmer name.... Arillyn ! :D;; It always sounded a bit too whimsy for Stardew anyway. I was recently enjoying vintage color palette in my watercolors so thought hmmm vintage colors...! I really dove in with zero idea, zero character plans, and I think that was the best cause I started getting better idea of her as I played along xD;; The glowy nails idea came from my own nail polish that I discovered has a little shimmer when exposed to light :D;; (funny enough a character named Lynn greeted me as soon as I started the game and I felt a little awkward about my chosen name lol)

So Arillyn is an angel who came from her realm to just get to know humans better! Sounds simple enough, right? :D;; She is curious and just wants to learn better about the mortals by being around them!

I didn't expect to enjoy her aesthetics so much, nor did I expect to experience my guilty pleasure angel/dark being ship dynamics but here I am lol
