thinking of ways to fix my problems with earthspark's starscream lore cul-de-sac situation. next season hashtag gets to Remember The Plot Point and actually distrusts megatron because of it (shades of teen rebellion + "he just like me fr" attachment to stsc) which puts her in big conflict with twitch (idolizes megs, imiates him as "leader of the pack", he shows her favoritism in particular. little bird ^^) they have more and more little conflicts leading up to a Big Actual Sibling Argument episode a/b plot- with both of them putting together arguments for why their favorite uncle that they use to prop up their own confidence (#: "im not a bad kid" realest starscream girlie)/(twitch: i can protect my whole family im strong im stable i can do this i have to) has Done Nothing Wrong Ever (fueled by the fact that it's more about their own senses of self, they're kids they need role models) meanwhile megs and stsc are on the sidelines watching this fight go down like coaches at a boxing match. it takes them way longer than it should to act like responsible adults and break up the fight because, besides stsc already just being thrilled to have Anybody in his corner, megs keeps giving him the I Will Murder You eyes from across the scene and that sets him back to thinking this is all hilarious every time he notices it. punchline: they have to step in though after a while because hearing their respective kiddos' most godawful blorbo takes known to mankind makes them cringe too much to let it continue. no little buddy thats not how that happened- no- no that very much was my fault- ok how about we all go cool down for a while how about we go pet fluffyears wouldnt you rather do that- ends as a lesson in maturity for both the siblings and mg&ss (doesn't necessarily mean the latter must be forced to be around each other in future, but at least chills megs out a bit + gives stsc more room to develop) / further examination of the different character groups' personal perspectives on the war / kind of mk2 of thrash's 'con phase from s1 i like hashtag so much. my daughter

I want to see ghetsis and lysandre interact so so bad. the "weird about the concept of the divine right of kings" guys. I want them to try to one-up each other on how special and royal they are. I want ghetsis to lecture/yell at lysandre about how his evil plan sucked so so bad he could do it miles better he could do it in his SLEEP- while lysandre watches ghet's face go purple and his brain only contains the thought "hmmm... bad to look at" essential facts-

both of them own one of those family tree maps that cover like two whole dining tables. lysandre has the social/class capital (besides his more literal capital) to back up his claim to royalty- he's schmoozing he's flying in private jets over arbitrary distances he has never once owned or used a microwave. his historical knowledge is mostly limited to what he considers "beautiful" in some way/what makes him look good. only the most romanticized 'facts' for arceus's specialest boy. this relatively shallow view will not stop him from monologuing for hours. also, besides being there to stare adoringly during parades, and maybe some servants, the working class may as well not have existed in his vision of the ideal past. don't bother trying to ask him who made all the food and textiles and anything else from the mundane outside world. he will stare blankly before moving on as if nothing was said. ghetsis is the guy who brings his Real Sword with him on the subway. inside his head he has been engaged in a solo 24/7 pseudohistorical/high fantasy larp since he was like 30, and dresses as such. this is also his excuse for evading taxes, the public should be paying him. he has been banned from several unovan college campuses for trying to host independent lectures about his own lineage. he knows absolutely everything that could (research allowing) be known about his very favorite historical periods, down to the month-by-month weather of the most notable years, what dyes were popular(and in what demographics), what lead to who saying what fiddling with what law ticking off who which would a decade later lead to the most massive war of the century, etc., etc. everything still always circles back to how he, if placed without particular power already in a certain year, would have scraped and schemed his way into running the world. every time. all hail king nerd.
