what i understand from youtube is that steven universe is actually the most powerful cartoon of all time.
every single cartoon thats ended after SU have killed its bad guy to prove it wrong. they only exist to react to it. SU has also created a powerful time loop, where every youtuber constantly craving a new cartoon to do the bold, new, revolutionary thing of owning SU by killing its villains. it doesn't matter how many cartoons have already done that. its always new, and its always important. its an endless ouroboros cycle of needing a new cartoon to be the first ever to not forgive. the cycle will never end. the youtubers never have the faintest recollection of other cartoons demonstrating how common it is to kill the big bad. its always something new. bold. refreshing.
steven universe is always defeated by every new cartoon, but the defeat never lasts. SU always rises again and must be defeated anew, for the very first time.
steven universe is dead. long live steven universe.
Okay, I'm watching 2009 Monkey King for the first time and like-
He's so cute! 😭
Like, I only watched Lego monkie kid and am currently reading JTTTW, and I'm so used to Macaque angst or Macaque being evil, but in this one he's just a kid who likes having fun and hanging with the monkeys??? I needed this so bad!
19 year old theatre kid wanna-be-villain loser weirdboy and his adopted 12 year old with anxiety and the only brain cell is a GENIUS dynamic. 10/10.
ID (& version with no text) under cut:
[ID: Digital fanart of Molly Blyndeff, a mixed race girl with curly hair with star clips, wearing a bear hoodie, a green skirt, pink tights, yellow wellington boots and a yellow backpack. She is on the shoulders of Giovanni Potage, a tall white man with spiky pink hair wearing a yellow "bonzai blasters" outfit with a red cape. The text above them reads:
Giovanni: Bear Trap, we are going on a dangerous evil mission!
A lot of people have hyped up the latter half of iii as being horrible awful or whatever when its just like. Mediocre. And extremely hot take but i dont think mediocrity is a crime. Is it annoying when the showrunners seem to think theyre making groundbreaking material? I mean. A little? Some bits felt kinda preachy but its the same amount as any other mediocre cartoon on the market. Like its fine. Its allowed to be mid. I still had fun
Histeria! is an American animated series created by Tom Ruegger and produced by Warner Bros. Animation.[1] Unlike other animated series produced by Warner Bros. in the 1990s, Histeria! was an explicitly educational program created to meet FCC requirements for educational/informational content for children.[2][3]Histeria! aired on Kids' WB from September 14, 1998 to March 31, 2000, and continued to air reruns until August 30, 2001.[4] The show was presented as a Saturday Night Live-style sketch comedy, with its cast often filling the roles of historical figures. It was to be WB's most ambitious project since Animaniacs. Like the aforementioned series, 65 episodes were originally going to be made,[citation needed] but due to being $10 million over budget,[citation needed] only 52 episodes were completed before production of the series was canceled in March 2000. Due to the high production costs, footage from previous episodes was often re-used and re-timed to match newly recorded audio, as well as several non-educational segments being used as filler. More recently, the show was aired on In2TV, first from March to July 2006, and then it returned in October of that year. In January 2009, all of the episodes were taken off the site. This is the wildest shit and I think the majority of us missed it
The hot potato with the blue suit and smoke!! If its actually Mr. Turner then he is so fine, Your art makes me want to devour him in whole!! Aaahhhhjhbvh?!?
absolutely devastated Nickelodeon is never gona acknowledge him in any capacity ever since the end of Oh yeah!Cartoons (for me the last chance to do it in a tasteful way was 2 times in fact, in Channel Chasers and or in Mice Capades where they all became tom and jerries), at most it's butch hartman showing some production art or giving a passing mention of him when he reminisces about working on the pilot💔his appearances were so brief i can post my fav moments of him here (but i ask to search up fairly oddparents Party of Three first if you dont want spoilers, its the best one!)
sometimes i think about the passage of time and how some pieces of media will be forgotten, but then i realize in the future people will probably make 20 hour long video essays about old media, introducing people to it and creating a fanbase for it all over again and it makes me smile :)
