consider this post just an excuse for me to discuss and layout some details of mana’s time living within one of doma’s provinces.

their village would, reasonably, be comprised initially of people who have been classified by Garlean title as —ann ⁽¹⁾, and a mixture of those who fit that of —bas ⁽²⁾ and —oen ⁽³⁾ respectively for the fact they were known for constant plots of revolt and rebellion and the frequent conscription of the young and able bodied. very few decided to embrace and seek new living such as mana’s parent’s towards the provinces but those that did made sure to make something of themselves before hand.

fearing being officially known firstly with —aan as their title, precautions instead saw mana and their father swiftly picked up to that of —oen, and then —pyr ⁽⁴⁾ for mana just a three years into the future from the initial age of 11. this is after enduring the first of many other occasions of plotted sabotage and attempts on their life from fellow soldiers but before mana advances quickly from that point, and two years further has breezed from —quo ⁽⁵⁾ to the addressing of —rem ⁽⁶⁾ before the legion’s full understanding and consequential adjustments to mana’s violent and uncompromising temperament is addressed and implemented. an estimation of time per title can be around six to eight months for the duration mana was given the title —quo to fit in line with the notable burst of success and competency found within mana’s work and their infantry units and the remaining eighteen to sixteen months as —rem wherein it becomes a steady known fact that to be placed within the constant fluctuating ranks of mana’s command is to meet death or reap rewards of glory and high respect before the death tolls begin to outweigh the benefits of their leadership.

at that point mana stalls in succession, for —rem becomes that of maintaining the respect that they refuse to let go of, unless one desired to be met with claws and teeth. and the remaining course of their military career becomes tailored to infiltration, information, and carefully planned strikes. mana spends a very intense year with that type of training and work, as shortly after turning 17 do they flee the country of othard altogether. it’s arguable however, that had mana stayed and continued their service that they would have eventually, and regardless, due to their own tenacity and cunning obtained the highest possible title allowed to one not born of Garlean heritage; sas ⁽⁷⁾. and during all of this time, though unbeknownst to mana themselves, it is safe to narrate that mana’s father never reaches much higher than —oen.

another thing to note about this is mana’s long standing knowledge of science, scientific, and technological concepts and theories. aside from infantry work and commanding, mana took to garlemald’s education of higher material quite well — meaning, that they feel quite at home within Cid nan Garlond’s Ironworks and ( at either the best, or arguably the worst of times ) Nero tol Scaeva’s distinct rants and ‘corrections’ to current projects when they allow themselves to be there. while not on the exact level of the two aforementioned engineers, it does not take much for mana to pick up on their ideas and explanations where minimal, if any, further breakdowns are necessary. weaponry is included into this, as mana is never a strictly books only learner, and eventually becomes hands on with any aspect in their life or attentions worthwhile. but primarily, into that of firearms — and eventually, gunblades ( the original concepts sourced from the Bozjans, and not with Garlemald’s recreations and altering designs ). it’s a safe and common enough thought to have of the possibility then, of mana having deviated into the lifestyle and rankings of the garleans specialists who dealt in technology and medical advancements though it would never have been entertained.

this often correlates to mana being able to handle many operations involving the empire’s various castrums and strongholds more easily than others, and a heavy refusal to explain why. a very sore subject to talk about and very big rift causer in most new relationships where distrust could certainly run rampant. though it’s been years since those days, mana retains the ability to still easily gain access to systems or information if provided the proper time and support, be it of old knowledge or knowing just enough to bypass a few walls. or to have the inclination to tell where to hit on specific models of magitek units. specifications made to machinistry or those who wield gunblades, primarily an honor for special parties, can find mana’s handwriting within the notes of blueprints or list of required materials for manufacture even if they themselves refuse to reap the benefits of their own knowledge.

Happy New Year I wanted to be back and I actually had a post about the bad things AND the good things complete with photos but it fucking uuhhhhhhhhh broke? So. Yeah. I'll try again but nooo, no photos for me i guess.

but anyways HELLO WORLD, MY QUEUE IS ACTUALLY ALMOST DEAD I HAVE BEEN ACCIDENTALLY AVOIDING THIS PLACE FOR REASONS UNKNOWN EVEN TO ME.

but yeeeeah about that 2023. its been a ~real bad year~ huh, or was it just me? Thought I'd throw up a little end ofthe year wrap up, but have been putting it off because a lot of it sucked.

Between multiple deaths in the family, covid still doing its plaguebearing thing, so much fucking stress, worsening symptoms and endless doctor visits and even worse fatigue thats left me in bed most of each week, im... it seems like i got nothing done.

But it wasnt all bad! I'm trying to think on all the things i did this year (and a LOT of things i acquired this year i did... a lot of retail therapy for the first time in my life really???)

-I cant believe i got to see a Rick Riordan Q&A live, like, it seems like AGES ago but was only this year???? It was a genuine bucket list item for me

-i started drawing again??? And im kinda improving???? Id like to share some of it one day somewhere?? Scary.

-got to dip my toes back into cons again! Only the safe/outdoor ones, but it was nice seeing folks again, despite some drawbacks (like AN being 40°C and witnessing a real stupid truck crash, and Yeti being nothing but stress overall and causing some ~brand new (old) symptoms~)

-I started my new life of cosplaying my own OC's over other things. Being Virtue (my dnd pastel barbiecore nightmare child) was absolutely freeing, i cant wait to make him 7 million new outfits

-especially because i got to do a freaking location shoot at a super cool, very out of the way waterfall, with a reflecting pool. i cant wait to bring so many things there

-also did a waterfall tour of Owen Sound. soooooo many dnd/dragon age/etc shoot ideas

-im also saving up for a few dream dragon age costumes, and its gonna be like uhhhhh.... $500ish worth of scalemail? (for two seperate projects)

-speaking of dragon age, i got alex into inquisition and i've become a nightmare about it again im not sorry

-alex and i went halvsies on thigh high boots that are 100% for my Lavellan, because he's a thot and deserves them

-tell me not to spend another like $150cdn on the official shirts. theyre just. so SOFT. they are a pure sensory joy.

-i bought so many cardigans from independent artists, on preorders. and like none of them are here yet but next falls gonna be 👌👌👌

-i have a lolita problem. got to wear one of my fanciest to the cherry blossoms at the height of my pain flares back in the spring! i now have two new dresses on top of that! there's a third im eyeing right now to go with one of my new cardigans! its a real problem y'all 😂

-but by far my biggest and best decision was i saved up for two solid years and was able to buy myself A FREAKING PS5 without breaking budget at all?????? I'm genuinely proud of myself, this was the exact opposite of an impulse buy??? even got to gift a friend the CoD game that came with it, because i was never gonna touch that lol

Next year better keep up the good things, and no new fucking symptoms. Also, depending on the Yeti news, im not letting myself be that fucking stressed this time around.

Northwind Quarter AU Introduction

Hello and welcome to the Northwind Quarter/Pirate Bay AU blog. What is this blog about you ask? Northwind Quarter is a Transformers/Humanformers AU set in a pirate themed historical fantasy setting. Most of the characters and story beats are inspired by Transformers Prime, though there will be some extra faces from other continuities.

Synopsis:

This AU follows Starscream, a fearsome pirate granted immortality by Primus. His life is sustained by his own heart, which has been locked away in a treasure chest, so long as the heart persists, so does Starscream’s life. He can come back after death, and regenerate his body, though it takes a heavy toll on his psyche.

This story will focus on Starscream’s life, and the people he meets, his friends, lovers and enemies.

Some warnings:

-This AU will contain a lot of suffering for poor Screamer. It heavily features and depicts GORE, VIOLENCE and ABUSE. There will be discussion and depiction of sex, as well as sexual abuse and rape in certain instances. If that is not your thing we heavily encourage you to block any trigger warning tags that contain these topics.

And we strongly encourage minors to avoid the more mature tags.

-This is not a ’Starscream is an innocent angel who did nothing wrong’ type of story. He suffers far more than he deserves, yes, however we recognize Starscream as a morally complex and grey character, and this story will be an exploration of that. We want to see no ’oh he deserves it’ in the interactions.

We will try to cover these darker topics with as much tact and respect as we can.

-Megatron features heavily as the antagonist of this story, and he does some very morally reprehensible things. If you dislike or are uncomfortable with Megatron being portrayed as an abuser, this isn’t the blog for you. Simply block and move along, no starting shit in replies or asks.

-This AU features a LOT of romance and relationships. We will provide a list below.

Me: oh well, so it's about this girl who becomes pregnant and her parents throw her out and she tells her bf but he leaves her, few years later her siblings spot her playing in the park with her two kids and they kinda reconnect and even the bf comes back and warms up to them all

Someone: ooo that sounds cool(lol idk)

Me in front of the device: UMMMM THAT WAS THE SKETCH HOW DO I WRITE THE FILLER SCENES AHHHHHHHHHH

Yes dear we’re getting them!! We just have like so many asks atm. We’ve probably answered around 150 asks this week and we have 30 in the queue and still have like 30 unanswered ones in our inbox 🥲

As for your question, it’s a little hard to answer. For a long time, that was my biggest struggle with writing, knowing how to fill a book! But I’ve found that once you create your cast of characters and give everyone in your cast goals and issues they’re working on and lay out your different plot lines, you can develop the different plot lines and then intersperse them together. When you do that, the book kinda fills itself honestly.

Sorry if that doesn’t make much sense. It’s very late and I don’t think I answered this very well 😅 but feel free to send in more asks about writing craft, because I live for that.
