Sometimes I see posts about how "I, Strahd" Tatyana has the personality of a cardboard but I don't think I agree honestly.
We only see her in very few scenes (all from Strahd's POV) and she's always very gentle and soft spoken.
Which makes completely sense since she was a lowborn orphan trying to make a good impression on her future brother in law, who is not only the ruler of the valley but also a feared war criminal. Of course she would try to be as nice as possible in front of him.
I also think that Strahd was extremely genuine in thinking he was in love with Tatyana, it's just that he never really knew her the way Sergei did. He only knew a facet.

i need to talk about Izzy's death again
It was good that Ed was with Izzy when he died. But what about Fang? what about Frenchie? Those two held him when he cried and supported him when he was at his lowest. What about Lucius who he whittled a shark for, what about Wee John who did his makeup and let him be vulnerable? Why weren't they doing anything, even if it's just being there for him? Showing him love in his last moments seems like something you would do for someone like that. I imagine that fang has known Izzy as long as Ed has, so i just don't get it. It's sad that Izzy died, but what's even sadder is that it was so... glossed over almost? As if he didn't mean anything to anyone, like his whole forgiveness arc meant nothing. Like he did all of that growing just for no one to care at all. It feels cold

i would also love to know more about your 03 project that i have seen you mention a couple times 👀 Is it something you are drawing or writing¿
Ahh! Man I wish I had more to show for it, but I've basically been thinking about it non-stop for the past several months. I wanted to get it started this year for the 20th anniversary but the latter half of 2023 was chaotic because I moved. o|-<
It's nothing too groundbreaking, just my attempt at reconciling what happened between the end of the anime to Roy deciding he was going to go be emo in the mountains, address what little we saw of them in CoS and how I think they would reconcile, and then also explore what their life together would look like afterwards...
I think it's going to be 3 multi-chapter pieces of writing with supplemental art. It's mostly Riza-focused (because she is my little el wiwi) but I also want to give Roy a fair shake and address the Crippling Mental Illness they both have refused to acknowledge. There will be plenty of angst and me putting Riza through Situations and making her the most miserable she's ever been in her whole life, but it's to highlight her character growth and experiences, and there will be a happy ending. Because I think making them struggle and suffer for nothing goes against FMA's themes, and I'm a sap and want Riza to get all the kisses in the world because she deserves them.
I don't have very much to show for it, but here's a half-finished WIP from way earlier in the year about Roy not wanting Riza to see his wounds

the remake of the prison episod of pt1 in pt4 lacks the most important foundation the narration of the episod is built on imo. Whereas in the pt4 remake lupin explicitely uses the affection zenigata has for him to escape, in pt1 lupin does not understand why zenigata didnt just kill him. He is so unaware of zenigatas budding attachement to him that he chalks it up to zenigata enjoying his humiliation. and there is truth in that tbh. Zenigata does. but his affection takes over during the excruciating year lupin puts him thru, but not by his own design. Lupin thinks hes making zenigata suffer by not escaping and putting zenigata on edge wondering wether hes going to escape or not. Meanwhile zenigata is begging the gods for someone to help lupin escape. In his desire for revenge lupin accidentally succeeds. And when he leaves he is none the wiser as to the actual reasons why zenigata suffered. its wicked. meanwhile the pt4 prison escape is utter fucking bullshit where lupin manages to escape by painting ? a distorted image of himself ? dying ? with the food zenigata cooks him ? be fr. the pt1 ep escape is much more believable. where is the edge. where is the genuine torment where are the deep cuts. where is the mix of hatred and obssessive passion. the utter toxicity. yes the scene where zenigata says that his existence as a detective ends when lupin does is lovely. its also just as frustrating because he lacks the tiny fucking push thats gonna make him realize the reasons why he has attached his entire life around the thief. but its too soft. its not intense enough. its not psychosexual

Ok why are people pointing to Selena saying stuff when she committed to ucla about academic prestige in terms of factors for where she might transfer as if that’s not just a boiler plate talking point from recruitment that she’s parroting lmao

I'm soooo close to having a zero tolerance policy for the insidiously regressive high-strung tripe that even remotely suggests you can infer someone's real life moral position on the basis of what they enjoy reading or writing in fiction. Yes that includes the weird sex stuff. Yes that includes the weird sex stuff that, in the real world, we consider repulsive and evil!
If you would never act on them and are at no risk of doing so, and they don't cause distress to you personally, the deranged horny contents of your creative imagination are MORALLY IRRELEVANT. That is net zero information. I don't care how annoying or gauche or gross you think some of the fandom people on this website are, and believe me I get it, but you are in fact a retrograde wet blanket scold and useful idiot if you buy into the idea that you can perform reliable character judgments about strangers NOT on the basis of their individual material actions and behavior, but on generalizations of what you imagine that they are imagining. Not an error margin I would be smug about but that's just me! Anyway, it is in fact incredibly normal and sane and adaptive to be able to entertain a rich fantasy life and to contemplate all sorts of wacky and extreme things that have zero bearing on your day-to-day experience and what you want out of it.

the release of the new 1999 ag historical twins is indicative of a lot of problems with the company and its dolls and its decisions lately, but one that is personally driving me up the wall now is just. how many more dolls are we going to get of girls in middle/upper-middle class homes with a perfect family?? like im not at all saying that every story needs to be full of tragedy and drama, of course not, but it just feels like the stories have gotten cleaner and cleaner and cleaner. the issues are smaller, sometimes even glossed over. i thought wbu was going to steer the company towards telling more "mature" stories where issues are directly addressed, but it feels like we're instead getting more and more stories about girls in comfortable homes with perfect families and comparatively minor issues. that's part of why they're starting to feel so samey. where's the diversity?? where's the variety??

My red flags to identify shitty people in the Homestuck fandom that are really superficial but have never failed me to this day
— Doesn’t like Gamzee
— Has davekat as their OTP
— Doesn’t like gamkar
— Is an anti (but that’s just a red flag in general)
— Doesn’t believe Homestuck might have racist and ableist elements
— Behaves like Caliborn
