AU where Leo is trapped in the Prison Dimension for months instead of minutes and the only way he gets by with his sanity intact is through recording himself talking to his wrist comm.

When they finally manage to get Leo back and make him rest up to heal, Donnie can’t help but listen to the recordings left behind.

He’s not sure what exactly he’s expecting, only that his subconscious is screaming at him that it has to be heartbreaking, that it has to be torturous.

Instead, what Donnie is subject to is a full thousand hours’ worth of Jupiter Jim and Lou Jitsu crossover fanfiction. More than one part in the series. Spanning well over a million words.

(The worst part is that it’s actually good.)

do you ever just remember how at a young age Tyler made a promise to not only take care of his twin sister but also their mother? that boy saw the grief in the two remaining family members he has left and decided to take it upon himself to shoulder such a heavy responsibility all on his own (unprompted) because he refuses to see them suffer any longer.

can you imagine the kind of commitment that takes, and for someone so young too? but can you also imagine how traumatizing it must have been for him, to not only lose a father, but to also lose a mother (in the sense that it was up to him to care for himself and his sister while their mother was struggling to even leave her bed from grief), and for him to just let go of all that in order to do what he thought was the responsible thing?

don’t mind me this is the smallest thing i could possibly be focusing on but i am actually going crazy over how that weird shadow figure and m. bition (mainly just m. bition tbh) both just call the fix ‘fix’ when the fix said before to conrad that he would prefer ‘the fix’

and yeah maybe it’s a matter of him not just telling them But it’s also very telling that he felt that he COULDNT tell them what he actually preferred. when conrad, right from the get go after using ‘fix’, did a 180 and actually asked what the fix wanted, and then continued to respect that (‘mister the fix’)

idk man something something authority figures making you feel powerless and not caring about what you want something something the boy who you were sent to kill by your superiors being nicer to you than anybody else and respecting what you want despite being scared

"See this was the thing, so... i guess it kinda felt natural. I think there was such a kinship between all of the players that we all ended up leaning into this kind of like, found family kind of theme throughout the series? And that wasn't something that was predetermined by Owen and Apo, that wasn't an overarching goal for the series, like, we were just supposed to be a big group of independent misfits. But I think we just all grew so close in character and that mutual respect as creators grew alongside that... it's basically ended up being what has happened. It was unexpected, really."

Love the idea that Leo’s portal and teleportation based fighting style can heavily parallel the types of stuff you’d see in magic acts. Disappearing and reappearing, pulling stuff out of a hat/portal, sleight of hand and other such methods of averting the audience’s/enemies’ attention from what you’re trying to do, etc.

It’s genuinely pretty neat to see and I wish his love of magic acts and magicians was brought up more often because it and his other interests tie into each other and in turn his whole self so neatly.
