Ja'far Ibn Muhammad said,
"People are divided into four types: A person who knows and is aware that he knows, that is a scholar (‘alim) - so follow him. A person who knows and is unaware that he knows, he is asleep (na'im) - wake him up. A person who does not know and is aware that he does not know, that is ignorant (jahl) one - teach him. Finally, a person who does not know and is unaware that he does not know, that is a fool (ahmaq) - avoid him."
