Valorant Agents Reactions to You're Killed By Their Mirror One
Type: Angst with no comfort
Pronounce: They/Them
Characters: Neon, Fade, Jett
Warnings: Major characters death, Mentions of Blood, psychological problems (depression, anxiety, tantrums etc.)
A/N: Reader is an Valorant Protocol Agent in this scenario. They died on a mission because of the replicas of the agents in the omega world. And Sage can't get you back in life. If you are a reader who can be triggered by the things that I mentioned in the warnings, please skip this writing. You can check out other content on my blog. Also because of the heavy content, I just wrote about my favourite characters 'cause it's more easier to me. Have fun while reading my Valorant scenarios, dear (Y/N)!
Neon
She was already afraid that this would happen one day, seeing that she couldn't protect you from being killed by her copy was enough to bring her down.
She had seen with her own eyes that you fell to the ground with a scream of pain because you couldn't escape the opposing Neon's ultimate in the spike area. Neon was able to hit the copy but couldn't save you.
You were so electrically charged when she took you in her arms that she was horrified. How could she let this happen when she was afraid of hurting you?
When she took you to Sage, she was trying to believe that you could somehow come back.
But that never happened.
Sage said she couldn't bring you back because you died in a very different way from a normal bullet wound.
Neon didn't want to accept this. Why did Sage say she couldn't just bring you back when she could bring everyone back to life? That's unfair, totally unfair!
She blames Sage, even though she knows that she can't do anything. She loses herself in anger and sadness, so they have to stop her, along with a few agents.
For a week after your death, she will throw tantrums blaming herself. If she had been faster, if she had hit more accurately, if she hadn't missed in the first place, if she had been where you were standing…
Although she seems to have calmed down in later times, this is not because her pain has subsided, but because she has started behaving like a spirit.
She didn't joke with the others, attend their events, or even talk to them outside of work.
After returning from missions or when she feels worse and out of control than ever before, she comes to your grave and talks for hours. Although it's easier for her to control her powers because the soil absorbs electricity in graveyard, she wants to believe that she's okay because she's talking to you. Even if you're not there.
Except these times, she comes every week and leaves your favourite flowers on your grave and tells about what she did that week.
And she's apologizes to you. Every week. Every time she come to graveyard to see you.
"I'm so sorry. I don't think I deserve to live, but I don't deserve a peaceful death with you either."
Fade
She knew that you were both at risk of dying, but she had never imagined that she would cause it.
She wasn't affected by Mirror Fade's nightmarish ability, but she didn't realize that you were.
While she was aiming at Mirror Fade, her target was different, aiming directly at you.
Even though Fade fired her gun first, she couldn't stop her from shooting you.
It was one thing that Fade heard your agonizing cry the moment she shoot her Mirror one.
When she looked back at you, it was too late, you were on the ground covered in blood.
When she saw you like that, it was as if her heart had stopped. This must have been a nightmare too, right? Mirror Fade had chosen you instead of taking her.
She could handle anything that was a nightmare, but she couldn't stand it being real. She can lose everything but not you. They don't have a right to take you away from her.
She could feel it, your body was freezing. You weren't moving, you weren't breathing, you weren't showing her your sweet smile. Why? Shouldn't this nightmare be over now, why was it so realistic?
She felt as if she was losing her sense of reality. How could this be possible? She did her duty successfully, but sacrificed you? Was she that incompetent?
She didn't know what to do when she found out that Sage couldn't bring you back to life.
Fade didn't have much things in her life, just you. It was as if she had watched you slip through her hands and crumble into pieces like you're a delicate vase. She couldn't put the pieces together, how could such small pieces be the same again?
She didn't make a mess, but she didn't feel the need to hide her sadness either. She felt too awful to care what others thought of her.
When she came to leave flowers on your grave after time had passed, she couldn't stay there. She couldn't look at your grave.
She would have had a lot of trouble coming to your grave because she couldn't bear the weight of being the reason why you were in that grave.
Instead of coming to your grave, she prefers to go to places that have memories with you.
Even though she blamed herself for not being able to come to your grave, she couldn't bear to see you among those dead bodies. You shouldn't be there, you have to be with her in her room. Why you have to sleep there without her? Why didn't you take her with you?
Although she doesn't have much contact with the other agents, she moves away from them much more than before.
What was the point of her talking to these agents that she talked to because you were friends with them, without you?
"I wish I hadn't complained about my nightmares."
Jett
Although Jett didn't seem to think about the possibility of you dying, she was always afraid of it whenever you went on a mission.
She were a little relieved, thinking that she could at least protect you on the missions she went with you.
But she couldn't. She can't protect you from herself.
While the you and Jett was trying to stop the agents from setting up the spike, jett had gone ahead of you so she thought she'd shoot a few agents with her ult.
Yes she did, but never thought of her Mirror One.
Mirror one dash over Jett with her blades in her around, ignoring her and targeting you. She caught you off guard by throwing all five of her knives at you at once.
Jett had hit her in the head with her knives when she spotted the mirror, but it was too late.
She dashed next to you, panicked when she saw you like that. You had a lot of bleeding and she knew it would get worse if she tried to remove the blades.
She hoped you'd survive until the others arrived, but when she checked your pulse, she realized she couldn't feel anything.
A few times she thought she was looking in the wrong place, but she was looking in the right place for your pulse. Also, you weren't breathing anymore.
She was starting to feel as if she couldn't breathe. Her throat was burning, her eyes began to ache, she could hear how fast her heartbeat was.
"No no no no NO! THAT'S NOT FAIR! YOU'RE LEAVING ME ALL ALONE LIKE EVERYONE! HOW-HOW CAN YOU DO THIS TO ME!?"
She cannot accept your death for a long time. She even had a big fight with Reyna because of this.
Reyna's mention of your death as a childish affliction was enough for Jett to go mad with anger and attack her.
It was much more difficult to keep her under control compared to her normal strength, as she was blinded by anger.
Sage had to give her a sedative as Phoenix and Yoru had trouble holding her together.
Since Reyna wouldn't hesitate to give Jett the same response, Sova and Breach also had to hold Reyna so she wouldn't get close to Jett.
After your death and everything that had happened, Jett would have completely lost her old energy.
She would become less competitive and much calmer than before. It's because she doesn't want to care more about what other people think.
Raze and Phoenix tried to get her energy back, but she refused them all and told them to she didn't need her old energy anymore.
She didn't respond when Brimstone scolded her, didn't respond when Yoru messed with her.
She's just starts to apologize to everybody.
She wasn't angry about anything because she didn't care about them. She was using her entire day to practice, not talking to anyone.
She was ignoring anyone who tried to talk to her. They can get angry and yell at her if they want, but Jett will apologize and continue to ignore them once they stop yelling.
Still, she will not let any bad word said to you go unpunished.
She often comes to lay flowers on your grave, would sit by your grave for hours while listening some soft tunes. Watching the sky as if she wanted to see your face again at least for a second.
"The sky looks beautiful today. Maybe it's because of you, my love."

Not Just a Monster
Warning: blood, violence, death
27: Realization of the true enemy
It's has been a while since I had locked myself up in the quarantine room. Laying down on the mattress. I tried to ignore the huge Puddle of thick blood that was on the floor.
I know I was supposed to be strong but it was completely hard. By having —well the relationship was complicated we didn't Officially Announce we were together but now we never will because Hyun-Su doesn't feel the same way back.
I knew it was all because of that one boy, getting inside Head. I mean Hyun-Su didn't even let me explain and he rather listens to a boy he Barely knows and pushes me aside from the one who has helped him through thick and thin here and it doesn't mean anything over one little thing.
It was hard for me to, and I'm glad the others understood but I thought at least Hyun-Su would have I guess I should have gotten to know him better before jumping into things. I guess I was so Transfixed on feeling bad for him and knowing he was just like me. I didn't get to see this stubborn side of him.
Maybe the reasons why he is-is because of things that happened in his past but that doesn't mean everyone witnesses like that I guess he has major trust issues. It sure seems like it. When you're alone you have a lot to think about.
Maybe I had too much to think about sitting up, I saw a brown leather cover laying on top of a table. Did it seem to be oddly familiar? Maybe this will calm down my consuming thoughts. Dragging myself over to it I carefully picked it up and opened it.
For some reason, I skipped over the first page and went on to the others. It looked like a filed Journal of monsters Someone drew. They were really good. As I continued to search through this thing something fell out on my lap. Picking it up my eyes went wide.
It was a picture. But not just any pictures it was of me and three other people. A woman, a man, and an older boy that looked to be in his early twenties. They were all smiling being happy. I didn't understand was this, my family?
If so why is it in this journal? For some reason, I flipped back to the first page. And almost dropped the book. It was a drawling of them but they were all dead. Why was that even there? Were they killed? Was it by a human or a monster?
It had no writing just gruesome drawings. This helps me know what my family looked like but this doesn't give me any Perspective of who killed them? Something told me it was me in the back of my head but I quickly pushed that aside that was nearly impossible I wouldn't ever try and hurt someone like that.
Or even if I did I would go insane but while trying to stay sane. Because I don't know if I'll be able to handle that? Sliding the picture back in the book I closed it putting it back where it belongs even though it was mine I didn't want to look at it as a reminder that my family was gone.
Yes I should take it with me but I don't remember them and how can I miss them if I don't remember? No memory of any birthdays, family dinners or just watching tv together on Saturday nights?
I had to leave it for now maybe I'll remember one day. I for sure hope so because it was all fuzzy like a screen that has gone static. Getting up I began to search for a bag and start packing things for when I leave tonight.
I won't say anything I'll go anonymously. So no one will have to worry or question why I'm leaving it was for everyone's good. They don't need me like I said I just cause trouble. Heading out of the room. I was about to go to the small convenience store that had almost everything to flashlights, ropes, and first-aid kits.
But stopped when I saw Sang-Wook with Yu-Ri on his back as they passed me. Something was wrong as I heard her wheezing terribly. She must have run out of an inhaler. She could smother to death from lack of oxygen.
( Y'all, I have Severe asthma, and let me tell you it sucks when you don't have an inhaler anyone else? )
I began to follow him, even though I was leaving that still didn't mean I didn't care them I wanted to help. " how long has she been like this and without an inhaler?!" I shouted, Sang-Wook grunted, as he heaved her up as I could tell she was about to fall.
" she just had run out and for a while here!" I nodded the closest Drugstore wasn't far from here. He hand-thrown the keys to me. As we neared the entrance I felt a hard blow that made me go flying back. There were three loud thuds. As I landed on the side of my rib cage.
I cringed, gritting my teeth I could hear Yu-ri Coughing trying her best to breathe. As she sucked in the air, I half-way walked and crawled over to her but was kicked down. I hand gripped the keys in my hand, it was no surprise who I saw looking up.
It was him.
He had stepped on my wrist, bending down he grabbed the set of keys from me. " going somewhere?" He shook the keys in his grasp laughing a bit with a smirk plastered on his face. This little bitch?!
" give them back!" I spit, trying to get up he placed his foot on my chest stepping down on it. Making it hard for me to breathe too. " what's going on?" I heard someone say. The person who walked in it was Hyun-Su I didn't expect a reaction from him.
But when he looked down his eyes widened a bit. He glanced up at his 'friend' questionably? The boy raised his hand up Jingling the keys. " They were trying to leave." Why does he even care? " so?" I pushed his foot off me with all the strength I had.
Getting up, " why does it matter to you!" I began but was Interrupted. " it doesn't matter." Hyun-Su looked at me, I frowned. " if they report us, the soldiers will come." He said Plainly, was this that was all about?
I shook my head. " oh, yeah I would go and risk reporting us?!" I fired back, poking my finger in his chest. I hated this guy. I was so close to wanting to beat the crap out of him he's causing nothing but chaos around here.
" then why are you trying to leave?"
I stopped there for a minute Hyun-Su was the one questioning me now. I balled up my fist. " because there's someone that requires medical attention." I was so angry I began to cry. The last words of my sentence broke. As I blinked a few tears away.
I saw Sang-Wook from the corner of my eye picking up Yu-Ri. I motioned over towards her. " if you cared Hyun-Su you would stop letting this guy get in your head and see who the real problem is because it's not us yes things were difficult for you but did you ever think it was hard for me too?"
I couldn't control my tears anymore they came rushing down it was true it was hard for me but he didn't acknowledge that I was going through a hard time too. I didn't care if I was showing my Vulnerable side it showed that I still had a human heart.
I still had sympathy, I couldn't tell what emotion was going through Hyun-Su's eyes it was hard to read but he snatched the keys from the boy handing them to me. I quickly took them silently thanking him which didn't mean anything.
" Let them go, it's up to her now."
I was the last thing Hyun-Su said before we three made our way to the large opening that was caused by the tank. Sang-Wook began to run along with me to his side. She had to make it. But little did I know things don't turn out the way you want them to.
There was a loud bang that shot throughout the air. I turned my head to see a bullet flying through the air hitting Yu-Ri in the back. The impact of it made her let go of Sang-Wook.
I let out an Ear-piercing scream, seeing her blood splatter out from her back. I began to ran. They both were tipping over but that was good. I pushed them out of the way where the bullets wouldn't hit them anymore. They fell to the ground, " Go! I'll cover you!!!" I yelled. Sang-Wook got up and held on to Yu-ri tightly and began to run.
I heard the sound of more bullets being fired but this time I was the one getting hit in every direction. My body Flung back and forth. It was better for me than them. I hope they were going to be okay.
But soon there was another scream, it wasn't me this time but it sounded more like a boy. The bullets stopped flying, as I fell to the ground on my knees. Everything hurt. As I saw blood seeping in throughout my clothes small holes could be seen through them and my skin.
But I knew I would be okay. Looking up I saw Hyun-Su, he was running towards that boy. I could see his face was twisted in terror as his cries were let out loud. I checked behind me to see. Sang-Wook was lay down on the ground and Yu-Ri was laying her back on the dashboard limbs falling aimlessly.
No!
I was too late they were hit. I began to cry again, I wanted to go over and help them but Sang-Wook motioned me to go and help the others. As there were a loud crash and more screams and gunshots. I turned away running towards the action that was unfolding.
There he was standing in the middle of the room. Holding out a gun shooting people for the fun of it. I blocked there his shots so more people could get to safety. Most of them did. As more of the group came and got Byeong-II he was shot through the back of the chest.
" You never stop trying to get in my way!" I turned and saw his eyes going black. " so I'm just going to have to kill you myself since the first time didn't do the job!" He seethed, as his other arm shot out his hand gripped around my neck pulling me up in the air.
I could feel his fingers tightening Pressing down on my Windpipe. I struggled to breathe choking on my Saliva and air. I grasped his hand trying to make him loosen up but it wouldn't. My feet dangled in the air. I could feel my face turning red from the lack of oxygen.
I tasted blood, as I began to spite it up. More gunshots were fired. As I saw them hit his face but they Protruded out of his skin healing up as nothing had happened. My eye vision was going blurry again until I saw someone from the corner of my eye running towards us.
The person slammed into the boy that was trying to kill me. Both of their bodies flew to the side. As he let go of my neck I fell to the ground hard. Coughing like a fish out of water trying to catch my breath. It was Hyun-Su that tackled him they crashed into a room.
Wood, dust, glass went flying everywhere, I ducked. Hearing groaning, I stepped up about to go and help Hyun-Su but he was thrown out of the glassless window. He went sliding on the ground hitting the wall. Grunting, in pain Running over to him.
I bent down, " Hyun-Su! Are you okay?" I asked worriedly. He looked up and regret was filled in his dark browns. I pulled my hand up under his arm and around his back trying to help him up. I turned my face if was towards him. We were very close. Feeling his hot breath fanning mine as he breathed hard.
" Soo-Nico I'm—" but he was Interrupted by that one boy. He didn't get to finish what he was going to say. I held on to Hyun-Su tightly. " I should've known you were sulking after killing that woman!" I could see his footsteps inching close to us. He grabbed me by my face pulling me up.
" And you trying to defend him for it!!" That's when he threw me up against the wall my back colliding with the glass mirror. I could hear it shattering against my skin as the Ragged blades cut into me. " you both are the weak ones!!" He pushed me harder into the glass. I sucked in a sharp breath.
He then let go was I dropped to the ground next he went over to Hyun-Su. " do you want to know something funny? Let me tell you the truth." He grabbed Hyun-Su face now. That was mixed in with anger towards the boy who he thought he trusted. His jaw was clenched as he bared his teeth.
" you didn't kill anyone."
Hyun-Su face quickly switched into confusion, face lighting a bit in disbelief. The boy then hit him and his hand turned into a sharp spear and jabbed it through Hyun-Su's stomach pushing him up against the wall. I could hear him groaning and grunting in pain.
" because that woman was me." The boy smiled Sinisterly laughing. Like he was having a flashback of what had happened. His eyes were Shown through the broken mirror as his face repeated by it his black eyes the dominant view as he laughed crazily.
He then pulled the spear-like thing out of Hyun-Su as he fell to the ground. I was in pain as I watched the mirror fall on him. His face had so much mixed emotions I couldn't tell what will happen. His fist balled up as the boy started to talk again.
" Nobody can leave!"
He shot at the car as gas leaked out from it. Creating sparks that reached the gas as it soon caught on fire sending the place in a blaze. He had cut the swinging chandelier as his hood up he walked over towards Hyun-Su but his hand soon shot out from underneath the mirror all covered in blood, sweat and dirt.
His fingers and arm twitch and began to bending on all different types of ways as more spear-like things Poked out of his skin. Sliding up with blood covering them. I watched him in horror as he began to transform.

DAZAI OSAMU : QUICK CHARACTER STUDY
(At 3 AM in the morning and that's why it's messy, all over the place and generally, shit.)
Majority of the characters in BSD are morally grey, Dazai included. I'm unable to categorise characters into good or evil, which is what makes BSD really nice to watch.
Majority of the instances, whenever I have an opinion on someone like Dazai, it's mainly based on their actions. I'll make an exception for his case because I believe he speaks the truth sometimes.
It's seriously difficult to believe what someone like him says. His weapon is his intellect and his tongue. He could say this and do that instead. Obviously he isn't good at combat, but he could say something and have you on the hook.
He's cunning, sly and in general: a liar (sometimes). As for psychological manipulation… well, it's not something to be looked down upon since it's in our everyday lives.
DARK ERA
He has a more serious aura and was far more suicidal compared to ADA Dazai. He barely flinched when a bullet grazed his cheek.
I won't even sugarcoat the fact that Dazai is an asshole.
The way he treated Akutagawa is wrong. The training may have made him resilient, but his mental health isn't in an okay shape. In the end, he even upped and left him without an explanation (although, I think Akutagawa has an idea of why he left).
Remember when he fired at the GSS captain? If I didn't count wrong, it was 13 shots (my dude over here desecrating a corpse).
Tumblr media
(I couldn't find the GIF of him shooting the corpse, so this is as close as I can get)
He does poke fun at Chuuya, and you can perhaps say that he does some good (but we've only seen a single good deed so far…).
He recognized that Chuuya was being manipulated by the Sheep and in his own way gave him a push. There was the part* when Shirase was talking and it zoomed in on Dazai, who had a wary, analyzing look on him.
Tumblr media
It's clear that the Sheep is quite dependent on him. They believe that Chuuya will be there to save them whenever they fuck up (ex. crossing the river to steal booze, when they know it's near the PM HQ, in result, getting a few of their members captured). They came looking for him to put it simply, beat up and save their comrades, which points towards the fact that they are using him for his ability.
Shirase also said:
"People who hold more cards than others have a responsibility. Fulfill your responsibility as the one with the trump card called an ability."*
Which again, further points towards the fact that they are using him for his ability and somewhat guilt tripping him.
Dazai later adds his own input.
"Amusing. You guys are truly amusing. He's by far the strongest among you, but he's like a sheep being stared down by wolves."
Called out.
It then changes to show Chuuya's face. Honestly he looks on guard, and I think he knows what they're trying to do, but it's a can of worms he would rather not open, y' know?
Dazai then later says once more when Shirase is trying to convince Chuuya to kick the PM's ass.
"Give it a rest. He has the freedom to choose how he uses his ability. Even a child would understand that. There's no argument."
And as a final attempt to convince Chuuya, he pulls the old guilt trip card, which Dazai and Chuuya ignore.
"Don't forget, Chuuya! The Sheep who took you in when you had no identity and nowhere to go!
When all of this is happening, Dazai knew Chuuya was being manipulated, and he also watered the seed of doubt with his actions, and in the end the Sheep turned their backs on Chuuya, which led to Chuuya joining the Port Mafia.
I can say this was a small good deed, pulling Chuuya out, but the choice was Chuuya's and he just gave a push.
ARMED DETECTIVE AGENCY
Dazai isn't a naturally kind and virtuous person, but he's trying, for Oda (oh boy).
The way he handled Kyoka's situation wasn't all rainbows and confetti.
I have a feeling he's trying to look at the bigger picture, to save people (perhaps because he blames himself for Oda's death, but I'll set that aside temporarily due to the time), but his methods aren't... nice. Atsushi has gotten hurt multiple times, Akutagawa too. In some ways, I suppose I can understand some things are unavoidable, but still.
Compared to how he treated Akutagawa, he's far better with Atsushi. He's treating him the way Oda treated him.
Atsushi has a completely different mindset compared to Akutagawa. He's a selfless person, he fights injustice. If Dazai tried to treat him the way he treated Akutagawa, I can confirm that isn't gonna turn out good.
Besides, he's trying to become a better person. That, and he owes Akutagawa an apology.
From this part onwards, these are all flash thoughts that I wrote quickly because I'm falling asleep by the minute.
FLASH THOUGHT #1 :
Now that's over with… I don't particularly have anything to add on. So I'm going to move onto… uh, how do I word this, facade?
I said above that his weapon is his intellect. It's clear that whatever he has on can be fake, or real. Y'know that goofy, playful Dazai we all know.
He's probably able to control his every movement and actions. Like, I cannot imagine Dazai doing something ACCIDENTALLY. Imagine that, someone who can control his own heartbeat, doing something accidentally (unintentionally, he never meant to do it, yeah that would be surprising).
But then again he's human… despite being a strategic and tactical genius… so yes, him doing something on accident would be interesting to watch.
Now if he miscalculated or like mistaken, uh, like that time, with the hiker, BSD Season 3. Then, yes that's understandable.
FLASH THOUGHT #2:
Mk… facade and accidents are covered… uh… I'll talk about the power he had when he was 14, Dark Era Dazai.
… He had enough sway in the mafia since he was 14 (correct me if I'm wrong). He was allowed to be the sole witness of the Boss's final wish. SOLE WITNESS. A young boy at the age of 14 was allowed to be the sole witness.
He was considered to be the youngest executive in the Port Mafia. If so, then why didn't the other executives (during the reign of the Old Boss) fight over the choice to be the witness of the Boss's death other than Mori. Perhaps the Old Boss didn't have executives, but that's unlikely.
Now, that's something.
FLASH THOUGHT #3:
Talking about suicide… I think Dazai doesn't want to die, but he does. He's failed so many suicide attempts, some of them being sabotaged, but what about the others.
Since Dazai didn't have anyone around his age constantly (save for Oda and Ango, but several years later… perhaps when he was 16, seeing how Oda and Dazai knew each other during the Dragon's Head Rush), he only had victories of his missions and such to comfort his loneliness.
I think that it's practically ingrained in him.
Dying means winning and losing. Your life is finished.
If that's the case, dying would mean he lost (but won). It's conflicting and confusing as hell, I know ;-; . I'm trying to explain my thoughts the best I can - .
When Chuuya came around, his loneliness was, um, calmed, a little.
Oda died and gave him a reason to live.
I think he still feels a little lonely though.
That's the end. I'll be out like a light in about 3 mins so I'll just, drop a GIF and go before I start pressing anything on accident.
Tumblr media
Yep, okay, bye bye.
oh, I forgot the hashtags, um .
Hashtags added.
Good night. :D

A Stranger Things Fanfic
Tumblr media
Chapter Five- Part Three
Phina and Nancy make their way to the field, hearing Jonathan's gun going off. Once they get to the grassy area, they see him shooting at some cans set up on tree stumps.
Phina smiles at her friend as he misses every single shot. Nancy also smiles in amusement.
"You're supposed to hit the cans, right," Nancy asks as they get closer.
Jonathan looks at the girls and smiles, "no actually, you see the spaces between the cans? I'm aiming for those."
"Well then you're a perfect shot Jonathan," Phina smirks sarcastically.
He does a little fake bow, making Phina snort. She loved when he was sarcastic, he learned it all from her.
Nancy sets her things down, Phina following suit. Jonathan starts to reload the gun.
"You ever shot a gun before," he asks Nancy.
Nancy laughs, "have you met my parents."
Jonathan snorts, "yeah, I haven't shot one since I was ten. My dad took me hunting on my birthday, he made me kill a rabbit."
"A rabbit," Nancy asks.
"Yeah," he shrugs, "guess he thought it would make me into more of a man or something. I cried for a week."
"I remember that, I went over and had to take all of your meals to your room cause you wouldn't leave," Phina says.
"Jesus," Nancy whispers.
Jonathan looks at her, "I'm a fan of thumper."
"I meant your dad," she says, sighing a little.
"Yeah. Lonnie's a real PoS," Phina laughs, "doesn't care about anyone but himself."
Jonathan nods, "yeah, I guess he and my mother loved each other at some point. But I wasn't around for that part."
Nancy gestures for him to hand her the gun and he looks down awkwardly, "yeah, just uh, point and shoot."
Nancy nods and takes the gun, "I don't think my parents ever loved each other."
"Must of married for some reason," Jonathan says.
Nancy raises the gun up, "my mom was young, my dad was older, but he had a cushy job, money, came from a good family. So, they bought a nice house at the end of a cul-de-sac, and they started their nuclear family."
Jonathan shakes his head, taking a glance at Phina who just nods, "screw that."
"Yeah." Nancy closes one eye to aim. "Screw that."
She shoots, the bullet hitting one of the cans. She smiles and looks at Jonathan, who smiles back. Phina looks in between the two of them with a wide smile. Perfect.

The three teens walked through the forest, Phina leading about twenty feet ahead. Nancy and Jonathan hung back, together, and Phina didn't mind one bit. She looked around the forest ahead of her, admiring its beauty. By now, almost every single tree had lost all of their leaves, which now crunched beneath Phina's boots.
Phina sighed, she loved being in the forest, it brought her a comfort that couldn't be found anywhere else, it even soothed her ever on going headache. Something about the way the trees reached for the sky, as if grasping for heaven, with its claws out. The roots of the tree shielding her from the damned below.
Not to mention the colors. Her artists soul yearned for any and all color she could find, the forest bloomed with it. Even this deep into fall, the fiery oranges and reds calling out to her fiery heart. She wish she had her sketchbook and her colored pencils. She'd capture the essence of its beauty on a page.
She was brought out of her mind by the sound of Nancy's voice, "you never said what I was saying."
"What," Jonathan asks her, confused.
"Yesterday, you said I was saying something, and that's why you took my picture," she explains.
"Oh, I don't know," he says, flustered, "I guess I saw this girl, you know, trying to be someone else. But in that moment, it was like you were alone, or, you thought you were. You know, you could just be yourself."
Silence, and then Nancy speaks, "that is such bullshit!"
Phina turns around as Jonathan says, "what?"
They had all stopped, and Nancy turned to Jonathan, "I am not trying to be someone else. Just because I'm dating Steve and you don't like him."
Jonathan shakes his head and starts walking again, "you know what, forget it. I just thought it was a good picture."
Nancy walks after him, "he is actually a good guy."
"Ok," Jonathan says sarcastically.
"Yesterday, with the camera." They both stop again. "He's not like that, at all. He was just being protective."
"Yeah, that one word for it," Jonathan says, waking away again.
Phina rolls her eyes as Nancy says, "oh and I guess what you did was ok?"
"No, I never said that," he defends himself.
"He has every right to be pissed," Nancy shouts at him.
Jonathan stops again and turns around, "ok, alright, does that mean I have to like him?"
Nancy stops, "no."
"Listen, don't take it so personally ok," he says and steps towards her, "I don't like most people. He's in the vast majority."
He turns and walks away, again. How long are they gonna play this stupid game? Phina groans to herself.
Nancy looks around, "you know, I was actually starting to think you were ok."
Jonathan stops, again, "yeah?"
"Yeah," Nancy answers, "yeah. I was thinking, Jonathan Byers, maybe he's not the pretentious creep everyone says he is."
"Guys," Phina groans, trying to stop their stupid bickering, she was getting irritated now.
Jonathan starts to walk back towards Nancy, "oh I was just staring to think you were ok. I was thinking, Nancy Wheeler, maybe she's not just another suburban girl, that thinks she rebelling by doing exactly what every other suburban girl does, until that phase passes and they marry some boring one time jock who now works sales, who lives out her perfectly boring life at the end of a cul-de-sac, exactly like their parents who they thought were so depressing."
"Would both of you shut the hell up! Right now, you both suck, and I couldn't give a damn about who's wrong or right. I'm out here to find whatever took Will and Barb, so save your petty bullshit for the high school where all these stupid little arguments belong. Got it! Good," Phina yells at them fed up with their crap.
They look at her like scolded children, both of them nodding.
"Now shut the hell up and look for this gods damned thing," she growls and turns on her heel in the direction they were previously walking.
They follow her with their heads down, not noticing the shift in the trees. Not noticing how the branches coiled and uncoiled, copying the motion of Phina's clenching and unclenching fist.

Night time had fallen, and Phina had slowed down to be next to her sister and Jonathan, for safety. They pointed their flashlights ahead, walking and listening to the forest around them.
Phina stopped, listening to a noise she had heard. Nancy stops to, also hearing the noise.
Jonathan turns to the girls, more so towards Nancy, "what, are you tired?"
"Shut your sarcastic ass up Byers," Phina whispers, listening harder.
"What," Jonathan asks, a little shocked at her words.
Nancy sushes him, "I heard something."
Phina nods, pointing her light in the direction the noise is coming from. She walks towards it and the other two follow.
The noise becomes clearer, a distressed and painful whimper. As they got closer, Phina felt her heart painfully lurch.
A deer lays on its side, injured, bleeding everywhere. Phina covers her mouth, to keep a small cry from escaping. She kneels down next to the doe, reaching a hand out to stroke her.
Nancy kneels besides her, "it's been hit by a car."
Phina nods, tears building in her eyes.
Nancy looks back at Jonathan, "we can't just leave it."
Nancy grabs the gun she had sat down and looks at it, Phina shifts back a little as her sister aims.
"I'll do it," Jonathan says, noting Nancy's distraught face.
"I," she starts to protest, remembering his story from earlier.
He grabs the gun, "I'm not nine anymore."
Phina looks into the animals eyes, you'll be ok. The animal stares back, an almost thankful look in its eyes. Then it's being pulled back, almost to quickly for Phina's eyes to process. She falls backwards and into her sister, who helps her up from the ground.
They all breathe heavily, "what was that?"
"I'm willing to bet that's what we came here for. Come on," Phina waves, tracking the trail of blood the deer left behind.
The other two hesitate, glancing at each other before following. The blood on the leaves glisten in Phina's light. Jonathan and Nancy shine their lights around, Jonathan holding the gun up as well.
The trail suddenly stops, making Phina stop and look around.
"Where did it go," Nancy asks shakily.
"I don't know," Jonathan breathes, "Do you see any more blood."
"The trails gone, like it vanished into thin air," Phina answers.
Phina turns and walks away from the two, Nancy almost doesn't notice, but when she does, she follows. Jonathan, unfortunately, doesn't notice.
Phina shines her light on a tree, for some reason, it calls to her. At the base of to tree is a hole, which emits a low noise that sounds more like a growl than anything.
"Phina, what are you..."
Nancy looks at the tree and then at her sister. They creep slowly over to the tree, bending down to look at it. A gooy substance is all over it, and blood. The girls look at each other, the same question on there mind, should we go in?
"Jonathan," Nancy shouts, but they had gone to far, he couldn't hear them.
"What could go wrong," Phina shrugs, she's read enough horror novels to know those where the most fatal words she could've said, but, she didn't give a damn.
She starts to climb into the whole, a sputtering Nancy going after her. They climb through the tunnel, coming out on the other side. Phina helped Nancy up and looked around.
It looked like the forest they were just in, but different, more sinister. Particles float around them in the air, the color of the forest void. It felt utterly wrong to Phina, yet familiar, like she had seen it before. No, she shakes her head, that's crazy.
The girls look around and start to walk away from the tree, their flashlights beginning to flicker. Phina hits hers a few times and it stops.
They jump as a noise comes from their right. They whirl their lights on it, and are met with the monster feeding on the deer.
Phina grips Nancy's hand, so tightly that she'd probably leave a bruise, but Nancy squeezes back just as hard. They slowly back away, one step at a time, staring at the monster. Nancy steps back and a strange vine thing crunches under her foot.
The monster turns towards them and roars loudly, it's mouth opening up just like the drawing Phina did of it. The girls bolt.
"Jonathan!"
