one thing i actually really like about star stable (and wanna embrace more in my own lore building stuff in my brain) is that it doesn't actually matter at all where your character came from, just that they're on jorvik now

#and it's exemplified in other characters too #and like with nova specifically #she left for a number of years #and essentially broke contact with all of her connections on jorvik #even her horses #but for the most part they welcomed her back as if she had never left #i think it's something that can be heartwarming on the surface and also a little bit sinister?#and surreal #it adds to the isolated and bizarre atmosphere on jorvik #where on the surface everything is quite warm and pleasant #but a lot of the juicy stuff in star stable for me comes from exploring like #what it means to not fit into the culture on jorvik #or what happens when someone embraces the isolation that the culture exemplifies with its unique equestrian relationships #like the hermit #or the vala #idk #these r just my thots #star stable online #nova snowfoot #ssoblr
