Directed by Gerardo de Leon and Eddie Romero, this Dr. Moreau adaptation feels more Tennessee Williams than H.G. Wells.

Sam Kydd (1915-1982)
One of the most familiar faces in British cinema, Sam Kydd made nearly 300 films and countless TV appearances between his debut in The Captive Heart in 1946 and his final television roles in 1982.
One of my personal favourite Kydd roles was Constable John Harris in Terence Fisher's Island of Terror (1966).
A heavy smoker for most of his life, Kydd died of emphysema on 26 March 1982, aged 67.
