honestly just people saying group xyz is gonna surpass SNSD soon just shows how monumental SNSD is. they opened the door for all these wonderful girl groups to flourish and succeed! even if these new groups beat their youtube views, award wins, etc... it's because of SNSD they were even able to do that. they really did help make this new generation of kpop a girls generation and i couldn't be more proud of my 9 lovely ladies. and i know SNSD is proud seeing how far these groups are able to go!
( ii. ) like, when snsd debuted they got so much hate for being such a large girl group. “nine members?? what is SM trying to do? a female super junior? lololololol”. but look at all these new large gg!! twice, gugudan, ioi, wjsn, and more!! like!!!! they get to come into this with significantly less hate for their size BECAUSE of soshi’s impact. people can reach all they want, but their groups are able to do this bc of snsd… soooooo
These antis just love contradicting themselves, honestly. Anything that will get their rusty accounts some likes, reblogs, and retweets. They celebrate the era of girls but forget or refuse to acknowledge SNSD’s contribution. Seohyun mentioned before that this was their objective prior to debuting. I don’t understand how they can empower these girl groups but shit on their seniors and not include them. They think YouTube views and album sales are enough to leave a legacy. While that may be true to some extent, these achievements should be shown in a positive light, not some bragging rights fans can use to bring other groups down. I’m happy to see these new generations being successful while remaining great friends, unlike the rivalry that fans make up.
But anyway let’s all wait for our Queens’ 10th anniversary comeback, and let’s also keep in mind that Jessica will be celebrating hers too. ♡
