Go there. Inspire Us. [ Layout Exercise ]
In the self-directed study day, I decided to do this spread from the photographs taken from Millbank Gardens. It was a personal exercise for me to get a better feel of the content at hand as I was feeling a bit anxious about the deadline and wasn’t meeting with the group on the day. This allowed me to see the relationships between the images that we have a group have taken, and the edits that I have made on my own. I wanted to see if we could potentially create different stories or narratives from the photos. I also wanted to explore the relationship between the organic elements with their mechanical counterparts. I also went off of my intuition when editing the photos, to see what looked good and what was engaging. So this was a good exercise for me to be able to visually analyze and tie in content that I would produce at earlier stages of a project, where I would produce large amounts of work from the experimental process. I didn’t show the layouts to the group, just the photos and I wonder what type of dialogue would’ve occurred if I did.

PRESENTATION
We then started on the presentation.
We decided to add the voice recording that we took of the lady so we can include the emotion she put into the history she was sharing with us.
To add an extra nudge to this, we decided to play with her voice to make it a little spookier when she was speaking. However.. this didn't really go as planned. Once we played the voice recording to the class, the quality of the audio wasn't that great so instead of sounding spooky, she just sounded like a man.
What I would've changed from this was adding spooky background noises instead of changing the woman voice.
We had decided to create a logo to influence people to have conversations and ask questions, instead of heading straight to the internet.
We started to brainstorm...
The first drawing that we came up with wasn’t doing it for us, we were in search of a more simpler, and attractive logo that will stand out to the public.
We then listed down the main points of conversing with someone, and thought we'd stick to speech bubbles and faces.
Starting with sketches and bouncing off ideas from each other we decided to go with interlocking heads that were mimicking traits of speech bubbles.
We then made cleaner version of the logo idea we had. All we had to do now was add the finishing touches.
Adding colour is what we did to make the logo really pop out.
Overall, I wished we had worked more on the audio that was used in the presentation, and maybe added some subtitles because the quality of it wasn't that great or audible.

Narració:
A partir de les línies inicials d’una novel·la famosa de la literatura catalana, escriviu un relat. O bé:
Poesia:
A partir d’uns versos seleccionats, inspireu-vos per compondre un poema que mantingui una relació, amb el to o amb les paraules que conté la citació.

Si feu una narració, l’extensió màxima són 2 fulls DIN A4 per una sola cara, a doble espai i amb lletra Arial 12.
Si escriviu un poema, el màxim són 50 versos.
Tots els textos han de tenir títol.
Termini de presentació: cal lliurar els treballs abans del dia 1 d’abril al professor de català.
