Taken from original post: Doing science projects with a toddler might sound crazy 🤪 but conducting simple experiments encourages intellectual curiosity, promotes inquiry based learning, and a greater understand of the world around us. They're also super fun and exciting! ••••• You'll need: an empty water bottle (I used a recycled syrup container), balloon, baking soda, vinegar, and a funnel 1️⃣ Add about 1/3 cup of vinegar into the bottle 2️⃣ Place the funnel into the opening of the balloon 3️⃣ Add 2 teaspoons of baking soda into the funnel so it falls into the balloon. Remove the funnel 4️⃣ Secure the balloon over the top of the bottle making sure none of the baking soda falls into the bottle (yet!) 5️⃣ Lift the end of the balloon so the baking soda drops into the bottle 6️⃣ Observe the balloon magically inflate! ••••• The science behind it: When baking soda and vinegar mix, it creates carbon dioxide.
