🌿🍒 indy + ryan
whoever decided it was a good idea to have a team christmas party had never spent an hour with chicago's basketball team. and whoever decided to combine that party with chicago's hockey team, well, was asking for trouble. already used to seeing his house decorated for the holiday, much to his dismay, he had enough of the holiday season and couldn't wait for it to be over. the tree was filled with presents for indy, stevie, zanders, and baby taylor, more so filled with presents for indy — he had no self control, yet the color was driving him mad. so when his team stated they were having a team christmas party with the raptors, he was inclined to say no, especially when they decided ugly christmas sweaters were involved, however, one look at indy and he was throwing on a sweater, heading to the bar that was rented out with her on his arm.
the night had been running smoothly ; zanders, ryan and rio taking up residence near one of the tables while the girls mingled with the other wives and girlfriends. somehow, ryan ended up with a santa hat on his head, nursing a beer and he found himself slipping a hand into the back pocket of indy's jeans, smiling down at her as he approached the bartender signaling another drink. 〝 you come here often? 〞 he teases, thanking the bartender, before glancing around when all the guys began yelling at him, looking up at the mistletoe hanging above them. sighing, he shakes his head, smile soft as he looks at his wife. 〝 first our house.. now here? why do i have a feeling you're bringing these places just so we have an excuse to kiss in public. 〞
my muses reaction to standing until the mistletoe with your muse … accepting

Drunken Confessions
Pairing- Tarsem x reader
Summary- You didn't your self pity away and the new Olo'eyktan who may or may not have been ine if the reasons you drank finds you in your drunken state.
A/N- i found another one I'm in the bunt down for Tarsem gifs/photos 😫
Tumblr media
You run over what happened today over and over again replaying every horrible part twice and then back again for good measure.
First a healer in training poured boiling water in the bowl you hand was in and not the one with the rocks for a hot rock foot treatment. So now you had a really ugly bandage on it, not to mention the pain.
And you stubbed your toes so many times you lost count, because of the coming flu that just had to show up in the most busiest time of the year, so you gad to be a cook, a healer, and a hunter.
Your body hurt just as much as your mind.
Tarsem, thats who hurt your mind. He took over the Olo'eyktan from JakeSully. He mesmerized you as if he was some kind of angel sent from Eywa just for you to look at. Now the insecurities of him shutting you out forever for the need to find a Tsahik and not needing, what you thought of yourself as a burden.
So you did what the best solutions to ignoring your emotions, you drank.
After cleaning the communal hall you grabbed six cups that were untouched. The cups held against your chest because they were so many, maybe it was to much but you needed it.
Going into the woods, you sat in front of the flowing water and started to drown in your own pity and alcohol.
You begun to pour the nectar from cup five to the empty cup four that was in your hand. "Just to top her off." You whisper to yourself before gulping down the drink. Three other emptied cups lay discarded on the ground next to you seeing as you just drank. Throwing the empty cups that were in your hand to the side, now holding the sixth one before the sound of the ground crunching got you on alert.
Your ear perk, usually you would get your dagger and in attack mide, but the drinks took effect you could care less. The stepping got close as you took another drink. You finally recognize the person when he sits next to you space made by the empty cup, it was Tarsem.
You laugh covering you mouth, the love of you life who doesn't know he is the love of you life sat in front of you as you drank it was like so cruel joke.
He took his garb that rested on his shoulders who showing his bare chest which you shamelessly goggled at until you took another sip of your drink, you were way iver you limit as you finished to sixth cup of the fermented nectar. Putting it with the others you look at Tarsem glazed eyes going over everyone of his features twice. "Did you drink all of these?" He asked and you had a lazy smiled and that answered his question.
You feel the effects of the drinks in your feet as you lie on the grass. "Are you okay?" He asked and you looked around at the plants in awe. "Ecstatic." You say wiggling your toes, you blink slowly as he chuckles. "I have been watching you-
"watching me." You repeat before giggling.
"Yes, watching you, and I see the stress you've been under. So I'm asking if my dear friend is okay." He said and that word, friend clawed at your brain. "I am fine, perfext even I want to go home, bed." You say as you struggle getting up he laughs gently before getting up and helping you up. You hands rested on his chest, his features in the nighttime of Pandora where shown more with the light bioluminescent freckles that were scattered across his face.
"Y'know wha- Tarsem," you say smiling hugely and her listened in closely as you spoke small. "I alway thought you are th' prettiest person around." Your slurred confession quickly made its way to his ears and you giggled at his reaction, as his ears perked, eyes widened, and cheeks deepened to a shade of indigo. "Y-you think I'm pretty?" He asked smiling back at you as he helps you walk. "The prettiest." You repeat looking around eyes slit ready for bed. He helps you up to your kelku.
He waits a minute till you turn around flashing him one more drunken smile before flopping down onto your cot curling your tail around yourself.
.
.
.
.
.
.
The next morning you awoke, your head was pounding, and your body begged for rest. But forcing yourself out of bed trying to remeber what happened last night and then it all flooded back. The six cups, the barely being able to walk back, Tarsem.
Your eyes widen Tarsem. And then you groaned as you remember your drunken Confession you made about him being pretty.
You sat in the woods, it was clear opening, safe not many people knew about it just you and Tarsem.
Speaking of him he stepped into veia making your face burn bright looking away playing with some leaf yiu found on the ground. He sat next to you and it was silent for a while before he spoke.
"So you think I'm pretty?" He asked an you look at the ground eyes clenched as you internally cringe.
"I think your pretty too." He says and you look at him shocked as he took your chin between his finger and place a kiss on your lips and you melt into.

outside of Ghost, what music recommendations would you give to people?
you don't understand how happy i am that you've asked
lord huron is my favorite band for many reasons. albums that tell stories and each has a unique theme and sound. i'll try and keep this brief: strange trails (nature and dark magic), long lost (western-esque), they're all good but these two are my favorites
alt-j has such a unique sound and fantastic lyrics: an awesome wave, and this is all yours tells a beautiful story
everyone knows bon iver, but 22, a million is so underrated
sylvan esso: sylvan esso and what now is electronic and also a little disco, so groovy and unique
manchester orchestra is moody but so, so good: the million masks of god, a black mile to the surface
070 shake's you can't kill me is absolutely insane
indigo de souza's all of this will end
TRACE's like hell ep has some beautiful and emotional songs on it i love so much

Moss marshes, microscopes, crocodiles, green juice, grid notebooks, long socks, algae. your essence is moss: it is you against the mysteries of the world. you are an impassioned problem solver; it is natural for you to depersonalise, absorbed in your interests rather than in your skin. others find you unconventional yet genuine. you are the investigator. you are the scientist. you find kinship in like-minded individuals of chartreuse, honeysuckle, forest, and gold, who share your immense focus. you are also drawn to the intense souls teal and bronze, who will help you grow and uncover new passions. however, you may struggle to get along with the pandering personalities of magenta and marigold who seem too demonstrative.

Garnet brooches, anthologies, stained glass, leaves, dining chairs, long robes, curtains. your essence is garnet: you are a quiet flame that dwells beneath your soft surface. self-confidence armours you; many would call you stubborn, though protective of what has come to dwell in your heart. always just a whisper away is your temper, promising to make the world bend if it would make your loved ones smile. you are the guardian. you are the volcano. you find kinship in like-minded individuals of terracotta, tawny, crimson, and umber, who share your proactive nature. you are also drawn to the vibrant indigo and marigold, who will help you grow and teach you to name what's inside of you. however, you may struggle to get along with the internal personalities of teal and hickory who are too willing to be silent.

【ME & 𝗣𝗘𝗢𝗣𝗟𝗘 𝗜'𝗗 𝗟𝗜𝗞𝗘 𝗧𝗢 𝗚𝗘𝗧 𝗧𝗢 𝗞𝗡𝗢𝗪 𝗕𝗘𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗥】
- ALIAS / NAME: Bryn, Ya Girl, Hey You
- BIRTHDAY: March 20
- ZODIAC SIGN: Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh pisces/aries cusp but I will be honest I don't know much about astrology - I consider it harmless fun but it is harmless fun that I do not participate in, feel free to drag my ass because that's EXACTLY what a pisces/aries/pisces-aries would say
- HEIGHT: 5'11
- HOBBIES: Reading, writing, video games, dungeons and dragons/other TTRPGs, hanging out with the fam and/or the squad, watching tv sometimes when I can get the adhd to be quiet and focus on something. I like studying, too, to a point, and I would like to get back to like Working On A Skill in some way. Maybe polishing up my Japanese back to where it was when I lived abroad?
- FAVORITE COLOR: I say purple, which is kind of true, but actually a like, darker blue purple, like an indigo.
- FAVORITE BOOK: I'm annoyingly that girl you went to school with who loved all the books that they made you read. If there is a classic novel from like, 1800-1960 that they made you read in school, I like it, probably. I would also say, when I was in high school, which probably was (along with college) the time that I read most for pleasure, as well, I was really emotionally affected by Ned Vizzini's It's Kind of a Funny Story, Jostein Gaarder's Sophie's World, and Tim O'Brien's Going After Cacciato and considered them faves.
Probably what I would say now though is Imogen Binnie's Nevada. I read it on a flight down to a weekend work retreat, read it on the flight, in the cab, and skipped dinner/informal meeting to read it all in one sitting. It's not an easy book to read, nor a "fun" one in a lot of ways, but I read it over 5 years ago and I think it about it constantly. It feels very raw and honest, and like 10 years after publication, I feel its influence on so much queer literary fiction.
There's also some books of poetry that I hold in high regard. I have Paul Muldoon's Poems: 1968-1998 and Seamus Heaney's Opened Ground, Selected Poems 1966-1996. I also have a story about being in college and writing a capstone essay for a notoriously difficult class where we were supposed to write about a book of poems of our choice. My laptop had broken, so I was confined to one of the shitty computers in the computer lab, and I had been working on the essay about a book of poems I found in our school library for maybe three weeks before the due date, and by happenstance, I ended up reading The Captain Asks for a Show Of Hands by Nick Flynn. I immediately had the thought of "I need to write about this," deleted my entire existing essay, and crunched for basically the entire remaining week to write a new one about Flynn's book instead.
- LAST SONG: I'm not sure what song specifically, but I was listening to the entire album Bon Iver by Bon Iver while writing RP replies earlier. I'm very much a full album girlie most of the time. Before that we've got "POPPY (Japanese Version)" by STAYC, "Champions of Red Wine" by The New Pornographers, "Biohazard" by Momma, and "Star" by LOONA (they're still together I swear here is how LOONA can still win-)
- LAST FILM / SHOW: I started watching the She Loves To Cook, She Loves To Eat live action drama last night. Probably gonna start watching Shogun with my mom soon when I go to have dinner and visit with her? As for movie... I saw Origin with my mom in theaters last month. I thought it was a very creative choice to adapt a nonfiction book into a narrative about the author writing the book, while still managing to incorporate a lot of the themes and content of the book into the film.
- RECENT READS: A lot of manga tbh... I read the She Loves To Cook, She Loves To Eat manga recently, as well as reread My Lesbian Experience With Loneliness after twitter drama thrust it back into my consciousness. I've been meaning to read Dungeon Meshi so probably soon? In terms of non-comic books, I read this nonfiction book called The Digital Closet: How The Internet Became Straight by Alexander Monea recently that was very engaging! In short, it's a dissection of the way that the American government's attempts to regulate and censor the internet (for a variety of reasons) have had the knock-on effect of things like age-gating even non-sexual queer content on youtube, or social media algorithms burying queer posts. I'm slowly working through Mostly Dead Things by Kristen Arnett, which is about a woman trying to hold things together and run her family's taxidermy shop after her father's sudden death. It's weird, but good. It's probably also time for my annual(ish...) reread of Stephen King's On Writing, too.
- STORY BEHIND URL: It's a Maki quote! Her and Shuichi are talking about Tenko's death, and Shuichi says something about Maki's insight coming from experience, and she responds, "Of course. Quick deaths are my specialty."
- FUN FACT ABOUT ME: I used to be an elementary school English teacher in Japan, probably everyone knows this by now, but it is my funnest fact. I used to be a decently good soccer player and I was a pretty high-ranked doubles tennis player in my middle school district district for a little while (my partner carried me but still!) I honestly spend WAY too much time doing D&D prep - I spent basically the entirety of summer 2021 rewriting the entirety of the Curse of Strahd published D&D adventure to fit my preferences, and that of my players, complete with new characters/maps/statblocks/items/plot points/etc. Before the campaign had even started, I had absolutely dumped probably 100+ hours into it.

"SPACE" by Regan Pierce: A Cosmic Voyage of Emotion, Melody and Reflection In the music cosmos, sparkling with talents rivaling a star-studded night sky, Regan Pierce's EP 'SPACE' shines brightly as an inviting pop-cultural constellation. With six meticulously crafted tracks, Mr. Pierce has undeniably tethered his art to raw reality, reflecting through song a personal journal of strife and growth within his young 21-year existence. https://open.spotify.com/album/71o4TDkHoEs0RyIvF2rb4q To journey into 'SPACE' is to willingly immerse oneself in a sonic universe where every lullaby-like guitar riff and crestfallen melody weaves its own celestial tapestry. The canvas captures themes of heartbreak and unconditional love, mental health struggles, trust issues, and harrowing tales of abusive relationships - all stitched together with ambient soundscapes that radiate boldly alongside the darker threads of Regan's narrative palette. The opener wafts you gently into this reverie on a smooth slipspace of easy-listening soft rock vibes. It certainly feels akin to laying back on cool grass after dusk, drinking in the astral vista overhead – spellbindingly tranquil yet thought-provokingly profound. Here aboard the spacecraft 'SPACE', indie pop intersects dreamy soft-rock against the backdrop of an indigo landscape etched with twinkling stars. Regan’s vocals are safely nestled within this mix; it finds its place as one amongst many instruments that work together to strike an ethereal accord rather than jarring out as a separate entity competing for attention – much like an astronaut housed within a vessel voyaging across vast cosmic planes. One could hear shades of Bon Iver here reflecting off the mirrors held up by dream-pop visionaries M83 or Beach House; it's hauntingly muted yet tinged with poignancy, resonating unobtrusively throughout each track. [caption id="attachment_52139" align="alignnone" width="1024"] "SPACE" by Regan Pierce: A Cosmic Voyage of Emotion, Melody and Reflection[/caption] Serving as both star navigator and poet laureate of the 'SPACE' expedition, Regan wields his lyrics like a cosmic airstream, steering his listeners through heartfelt narratives. His songwriting is laced with layers of introspective wisdom that seamlessly interweave personal strife with universal experiences – a quality reminiscent of Conor Oberst's emotive expositions. The cogs and gears behind the production deserve a worthy mention here for softly lensing Pierce’s profound emotional explorations into a coherent audio tableau. ‘Space’ dances a balletic fraction-of-Gravity waltz between tight production standards and an intimate DIY aesthetic to its ultimate craftsmanship. Elements like the reverberated guitars emanating dreamy melodies are distilled expertly into this record without losing their essence. Each personalized tale from Regan Pierce's life experience presents itself as another auditory planet within this EP, inviting listeners to traverse and empathize with the artist’s lived struggles. It effortlessly balances depth with simplicity and draws attentive ears deeper into the cosmos of Pierce's mindscape even as it provides comfort in acknowledging shared human experiences. In this vast GALAXY OF MUSIC…Regan Pierce has discovered his own pulsar in ‘SPACE’ that throbs rhythmically; shining brightly with authentic emotion illuminated by soothing vocals, heart-felt lyricism and immersive instrumentals—a testament to the universality yet singularity of each human experience. As we cast our sonic telescopes towards further developments in his musical voyage ahead, we take solace knowing that such honest songs help us navigate our own inner-verses. Follow Regan Pierce on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram.

Billboard USA Exclusion Zone Episode 10 (04/29/2023)
Tumblr media
This week seems to be pretty busier that one meets the eye. Yes we have some shakeups especially in the top 10 with Idol by Yoasobi surged so high. But, these debuts are just all over the place. Well it's gonna be a blast anyways so let's get to this!
----------------------------------------------------
4. "un x100to" by Grupo Frontera X Bad Bunny
You know since the regional Mexican sound is the biggest musical moment of 2023, I think I will make my stance on the broader genre of Regional Mexican sound. I get the appeal of these type of songs. Yeah it's ramshackled and the mix can be very live version of itself. But, the composition and the instrumentals here reminded me a lot of dangdut or koplo which is the Regional sound of my country. That said, I prefer the accordion one rather than the brass and acoustic bass that Peso Pluma helped popularized.
14. "Daylight" by David Kushner
So apparently this guy is a tiktoker who is making folk pop that wanted to get Hozier to be on this song. All I can say right now is that he's definitely the poor man's Bon Iver with lyrics leftover from Father John Misty's b-side
28. "Chemical" by Post Malone
This is actually quite decent. But, this song is sounded like Fine Line rejects with a bit more inspiration from Tears for Fears.
72. "Princess Diana" by Ice Spice ft. Nicki Minaj
I did listened to Ice Spice debut EP and this is handly the worst song on the album. Getting Nicki Minaj isn't helping this generic ass beat to work y'know. Also I'm kinda mad that In Ha Mood didn't get pushed hard enough.
84. "美しい鰭" by SPITZ
Now we are talking about a veteran alternative rock band getting their first hit ever on the chart. This song is so likeable this is basically why I like J-Pop more that anything else sometimes. The guitar solo is just immaculate as does the production which is I would describe as "RHCP if they chose jazz influence than rap influence".
91. "Peaches" by Jack Black
I will give the Super Mario Bros movie a 7/10 it's a great popcorn movie.
98. "Wish You The Best" by Lewis Capaldi
See this song is the prime example as to why I don't like Lewis Capaldi's writing. There's not enough detail to justify this guy's longing for someone's that he used to love. Glimpse of Us this is not.
138. "El Tonto" by Lola Indigo & Quevedo
I think I can see the differences between Spanish reggaeton and LATAM reggaeton. The main one is the differences in how it's produced. The Spanish one seems to have other influences such as the dance scene in Europe. So that's why you have those sfx sprinkle throughout it.
151. "El Tsurito" by Junior H X Gabito Ballesteros X Peso Pluma
....Huh?????? Why does this sounds like DistantCry made this beat???
157. "See You Again" by Tyler, The Creator ft. Kali Uchis
I'm so glad this song became a viral hit because this is probably one of his best singles ever. The production here has influenced RnB world till this day with the trumpet, the strings, and that heavy hard hitting beat drop. Kali Uchis' breakout performance, the longing from Tyler about his crush is just breathtaking. This is truly one of the best songs of 2017.
170. "Cruel Summer" by Taylor Swift
[Insert the "this should've been a singles" jokes here]. But like can you blame Swifties in this? This song is too good for being a deepcut. The production is probably one of Jack Antonoff's best and yeah it's a great song.
181. "Fragil" by Yahritza y Su Esencia X Grupo Frontera
Remember the trio that gotten viral for their song? Yeah they're back with Grupo Frontera with probably the weakest accordion Regional Mexican song so far.
188. "Seu Brilho Sumiu" by Israel X Rodolffo & Mari Fernandez
Now for Brazilian sound...yeah I don't really get it. I think the percussion is not my thing in general here.
189. "Moonlight" by Kali Uchis
Speaking of Kali Uchis. If the vocals were mixed a bit better this could've been a sexy jam. Instead it's just a good one.
I highly recommend everyone to listen to these songs.

I saw Taylor Swift in Houston last weekend and I’m still reeling. I'm not the biggest Swiftie in the world, and musically/sonically it wasn’t like, the best show ever. But the production, atmosphere, and totality (and comprehensiveness, my goodness) of the experience added up to something pretty insane. One moment that I keep coming back to is the show's intro into Cruel Summer. Don't watch it if you're planning on seeing her on this tour. In fact, maybe don't watch it unless you've already seen the tour and want to be transported back to that moment where 70,000 people lose their minds.
"Into -> Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince -> Cruel Summer" - Taylor Swift, on the Eras Tour, courtesy of someone on YouTube who cut together a version of this from a bunch of fan videos.
There are new albums from The National and Indigo De Souza that I want to dig into, but I can't give them the attention they deserve right now. Instead I find myself doing YouTube deep dives, finally watching the folklore Long Pond sessions, and catching up on reputation five years late. Delicate. DELICATE. What a song. Why did I never really listen to that album?
youtube
"Taylor Swift" - Delicate
Clearly I need to rethink the "I'm not the biggest Swiftie in the world" statement. It's always great when a show sends you into an obsessive spiral rather than giving you closure. This reminds me of how I felt after seeing Bon Iver last spring, except that the amount of Taylor Swift content online is several orders of magnitude larger, so I'm not really sure if I'll ever get out of it.
