#1 of my coworkers asked me 2 cover for him 2morrow bc he knows im barely getting hours rn #which is rlly sweet so instead of only 12 hours this week i get 20 and it rlly helps bc i need to save up for a computer #im gonna open comms eventually but rn im too drained 2 work on anything. even personal projects #i gotta get a computer and somehow save up 4 a car but christmas and me redoing my room &#stuff made my bank acct take a serious hit. which. is fine ig bc I'm not living alone yet #i still gotta set my 401k or whatever its called up. and do the savings/investing thing #work should b paying me 25 an hour man..all my work these last couple months only totalled to maybe 3k #if i was going 2 college that'd be all gone in like..2 weeks bc a bachelor's 4 game design @ snhu is a lil 1k every 8 weeks #with financial aid apparently bc somehow i make 2 much. anyway #its 2am im rambling and i gotta b up at 10 #so gn every1 #ily'all #mwah #xoxo #and such #also im excited 4 valentines day bc all the silly pink lovecore stuff is out and i rlly want to b pink & cute this year idk #elliot rambles

I so badly want to print this comic but there’s so many things i need to do first and the start of that list is “figure out what things i need to do”.

#DCB Comments #my dumbest way i've ever had a unit die was in por chapter 27 when ike had damage on my turn already #from the previous enemy phase but i was getting desperate bc i didn't wanna redo the chapter #bc like if i don't get nasir i will literally redo the chapter fuck ena idk what intsys was even thinking #making her unit as worthless as it is. no nasir no victory. so in my desperation i attacked #with damage taken. bc my brilliant idea was to attack and get hit again so that mist could heal all the damage taken #but wah wah i had to redo the whole chapter anyway bc SOMEONE activated luna on me #i was relying on either aether going off or luna NOT going off but i had a massive wah wah #this wasn't recent but it did happen and i absolutely learned my fucking lesson LOL #titania: i think ike has grown enough to judge if he can win #soren: i don't like it. in fact i disagree. in fact this is a terrible idea. in fact what if he's impatient bc he only has five turns #also the other dumbest way to lose a unit is to have them standing in front of the house in chapter 11 #when you kill the boss bc bk walks out when the boss dies. i always make sure mordecai is #already past that area while im getting zihark before killing the boss #but yes i do absolutely agree with the lyric ''so many dumb ways to die'' for fe and that's why i need a compilation #y'all needa tell me your dumbest fe ways you've lost a unit and had to reset #if you played on casual it still counts bc they had to retreat lol #edit: actually no i remember that happened twice. there was a time when i attacked on my turn with full hp #but that was after mist healed so i had damage then she healed then i attacked on my turn #and then luna activated on the enemy phase so no that shit actually happened to me TWICE #and i am not sure which one of those times i learned my fckn lesson but i absolutely did #edit again: also npc and enemy phase deaths that are rly dumb are also valid i need those too

need to completely redo isopod enclosure asap because i keep seeing more and more dead ones in there and i have no idea whats wrong, its not that theres any pests in there with them because nothing is molding or rotting, but something with their humidity levels maybe? i'm going to try to redo their enclosures into one big one so that they can move around a bit more and find the humidity level they need more freely

#im so stressed though im worried im not going to have anymore soon #but i am so low on energy that i cannot like. actually put in the work to redo their enclosure esp while its winter #i think the snow has melted enough that i have access to the shed now but idk if the soil inside the shed is frozen or not #i want to start pretty much entirely fresh bc i think maybe theres too many dead ones in the enclosure and thats causing issues?#like smth to do w the oxygen maybe? if theyre releasing any sort of gases or anything as the corpses decompose??#but im not sure how much soil we have and its not the good compost stuff so im jsut hhhhh #pippen needs 2nd breakfast

#today has been a day. as in time did pass. the earth rotated. and i accomplished very little #bc im just feeling paralyzed and not so good. and i guess thats understandable #like i understand y its happening but its not any less frustrating. mostly its just knowing that i have to make life altering decisions in #the next few weeks. and the pressure of: if i dont decide to go for this one project then they dont get a student and they dont get funding #that makes me pretty nauseous. and knowing i have an interview Thursday that im not ready for and i dont really wanna do #and its a product of not talking to people like a human being. like i just dont interact with people much. when im in the lab i mostly #stand around looking unapproachable or go in when i kno there's no one there and i just dont have close friends so i dont really talk to or #text anyone. i just work and fail to get things done. so then when im in a situation where i have to talk to ppl its all anxious shrapnel #or me dominating the conversation bc i cant stand the pauses and i have so much obsessivly rotatinf in my head. and i hate it. im so sick #of hearinf my own voice but no one talk in the way i want them to. i get so bored. and i want to ask pressing and uncomfortable things but #i kno i shouldnt. but i also dont really have a filter so ill just say fucking whatever. which is what i did Saturday when a triggering #topic of conversation arose. so now my lab mate officially knows too much. but whatever wtf is he gonna do abt it. i just get so annoyed #bc now its in my head. thr fact it set me off and that i overshared and that now its in my head. annoying.#and it doesn't help with the writing things i need to finish. bc i dont like feeling like ive done something wrong and one of the reviewers #has good points. which also probably means ill have to redo my 8 days of measurements so far #but i also might b able to shorten the timeline so idk. just a lot is happening rn and i feel the pressure and by brain doesn't like #pressure. and not doing things rn is not good. things need to be done #so idk i dont feel good but it makes sense. by the end of February hopefully things will b figured out #and i should sleep and hope for a better tomorrow #unrelated

i’ve never been so indecisive on a piece in my life !!!! i redid the rendering once and this strayed so far from what i originally wanted for the sketch. idk how i feel about it actually. i might come back and redo it someday cause this isn’t what i wanted to do but im so sick of this drawing lmao i don’t wanna spend another 10 hours figuring it out again. i got finals to study for 👎

i was trying to combine my painterly art style with the more graphic style of my last drawing cause i thought it’d be cool. i was also looking at some of the art from reverse: 1999 but that didn’t really carry through in the final piece. i really wanted to do more painting ☹️ but whatever ive drawn so much in the last 2 weeks i need to stop lmao

this is the sample i made after i restarted the rendering. i like how this looks a lot more but i think a big problem was how i rushed the second lighting source (blue) so it wasn’t executed very well. the finished piece is just way too clean for what i imagined but i mean its still cool!

i could not figure out how to do the weird magic soul taking thing for the LIFE OF ME. i spent 20 minutes just redrawing it 😔

ok that’s all. i need to go will myself into studying now. o7

u guys have no idea how stardust and dust and the entire fox society has been rotating in my brain for the last 4 years. it started as “i want to create a story i can devote a lot of time and effort to that i can be proud of that stands on its own” like i have a lot of pokemon and warriors stories i also want to tell but im very aware the fact that pokemon is owned by nintendo and warrior cats is owned by. harper collins? the collective “erin hunter” that is like 12 different people these days? and is not just available for everyone will end up being a roadblock. its “ive read bcb for years and i love the story and the characters and how real they are and if i can create a story and characters HALF as compelling and wonderful as bcb then ill know ive done something right” its “i want this to be MY omnibus, no matter how long it takes” but also having to get it through my head that it will take infinite time if i never make any progress

i just want to tell a story about foxes, and the importance of maintaining an ecosystem, and found family, and fixing ancient wrongs, and a little stargazing

#most of it remains in my head or in shitty map sketches or in buried google docs #but as long as the foundation is still there i can build on it. i dont need to tear it down just because its been a while #i havent even considered where im going to post comic pages #and lets be really honest the only way i could maintain an update schedule is by having ALL of it done first #ive redrawn the first page of the prologue like 3 times now??#and the prologue hasnt changed. its good as it is. but i keep redoing it #part of me feels like i have to make sure every page is PERFECT before i can feel right showing it to anyone #but again i need to look to bcb #the differing art styles over the years dont take away from the story at all #it just adds to it! and you can really see the improvement and growth over the years #idk i dont have a direction here im just spewing out thoughts ive had for a while now
