sorry for rambling again but none of my friends have gotten to penacony yet and i need to talk about it
also i really like your thought about how march 7th might've chose to have her memories taken !!! i hadn't really considered that it was her choice, and to me it makes the fact that she's recording everything so she has something if it happens again all the more heartbreaking. like she's recording everything so she can at least have something from her past but she chose to do it herself :(((
tbh i didn't and still don't have much speculation, only a few half-baked sentences that i've thrown out, including that maybe she and firefly are maybee connecting in some way? im kind of just throwing things at the wall and hoping it sticks but i think firefly mentioned something about an ice cabin and i was just like "!!! something about march 7th??" also with the fact that disguised sparkle called her march, but that also might've just been a hint to it being not-sampo
i know it's probably unlikely but if firefly and march are connected i would love to see how they go about it
after doing black swan's companion mission and learning a bit more about how she operates as a memokeeper, i feel even more strongly about the idea that it was march's decision to have her memories sealed away. Tbh
it's just like... black swan showed she has no qualms about briefly manipulating people's memories to her advantage, but she always straightens them out after she takes her leave. she seems super reluctant to permanently alter and even capture/record memories without explicit permission. there's still a lot about the garden we don't know, so she may be an outlier - but i doubt it? since she holds such a high position and has gained so much of fuli's favor
so unless march was some sort of tyrant like tizocic and her memories had to be forcibly sealed away for the good of the universe (WHICH I? DOUBT????) i'm pretty sure the garden is just following through on something she asked them to do in her past life. otherwise they would have relented in Some Way. at least
now your idea of firefly being connected to march's past is interesting! i got your ask correcting yourself about the icy medical cabin thing but there issssss their similar eye colors to consider

idk but what do you think the s2 islanders words per minute would be? like im typing rn and it just got me thinking 🧍
As much as I hate my job and hate the concept of a 8-5 in general, something about thinking about the islanders in professional settings has always interested me. Like I had an edit awhile ago of what some islander’s email signatures would look like (maybe I’ll pick that back up again), but I love this ask.
I feel like Marisol, Noah, Blake, Hope are all the super fast and effective typists, right? Like 80+ wpm, minimal issues with finger placement. Grad school just does that to you. Plus Marisol has written fics since she was a teen, so I’m guessing she’s the fastest.
Kassam and Henrik are probably also in the 75-85 wpm range, but for different reasons (they game a lot so are super fast are certain keystrokes instead of longform writing).
Hannah’s in the 60-70 wpm range, I’m sure.
Carl’s gotta be like... SUPER fast when coding, right? Especially when using a language he’s familiar with, certain commands just become muscle memory and take less that a second to get a whole line in. But I imagine he’s a lot slower when it comes to communication because he overthinks the syntax of everything and struggles to get the tone right.
Elisa is insanely fast at typing on her phone. I totally see her using that predictive texting function where you drag your fingers across the keys instead of clicking and never finish any of your words fully. Idk if yall can tell, but I’m illiterate when typing on my phone, so can’t relate.
Lucas is probably in the middle too, somewhere in the 60 words per minute range. He’s much faster at hand writing things, and prefers to do that when possible. He’s also probably slower because he corrects errors as he types, instead of finishing the sentence and going back.
Rocco was a super fast typer, but he probably hasn’t touched a desktop computer in years. He’s still pretty fast on his phone, though.
I love Priya, but literally all of the estate agents I work with send me emails riddled with typos. I feel like she’s probably at 55ish words per minute.
I feel like the slowest typers would probably be Jo, Elijah, and Graham...
