you my friend get to hear about benji my best friend benji!

his name is benji rento and originally he was part of a thing where we made mashup ocs of our favorite characters and he was a mashup of i think sal fisher and jason voorhees. but hes his own thing now and i really like him a lot! i used to draw him nonstop because hes just so easy, unfortunately i dont have any art of him on hand but if i find one ill share or maybe i can doodle him real quick.

basically, benji is a sort of modern day Frankenstein's monster - his father is a necromancer and, for undisclosed reasons, took it upon himself to try and create life from "scratch." (he steals corpse parts from the cemetery. lol)

he's made up of at least a dozen people at any given time, so hes mis-matched and his appearance is different every time he's seen. every patch of him is a different color in various states of decomposition; hes constantly losing body parts (mostly hands/fingers/feet/legs) but his dad is quick to patch him up with a fresh(er) piece.

the only things that haven't been replaced in his 23 years of existence are his face and brain - benji's dad is very sentimental about this, and despite the extremely advanced state of decay both are in, he cant bring himself to replace them. plus a change of brains would essentially alter everything about benji, and it wouldnt be him anymore.

because of the absolutely horrific state of benji's face, benji wears a mask. he's a big fan of spongebob and kirby so his friends like to draw and put stickers on it for him.

his height is usually around seven and a half to 8 feet tall depending on who he's made of. he has shoulder length ratty gray hair with a purple tint - no matter whose scalp piece gets attached to his head, the color and texture always change to match.

given that he is what he is he has the intelligence of a child around 4 to 6 years old and probably wont get any smarter. hes very nice but quick to anger as he can get overwhelmed easily but cant control how his body responds to excess stimuli so he sort of goes on an unintentional destructive rage on his surroundings (aka mostly his room lol)

kids also love him - when he goes around the neighborhood they like to stop and play with him and use him as a jungle gym because hes so huge lol

some little trivia about him:

contrary to popular belief about zombies he does not need to eat at all, much less crave brains and flesh - he does really like cold food tho because of how it makes his insides feel (and also helps to preserve organs!)

his favorite season is winter because he decays a lot slower in cold weather. in summer hes falling apart at supersonic speed

he can be quite stubborn; its hard to teach him things or get him to pay attention when he doesnt want to but he Is capable of learning. he mostly picks up things his dad doesnt want him to learn, like parroting things his friends will say or do (mr pottymouth nishima). once he picks something up its nigh impossible to get him to stop doing it

he has very minimal tactile sensation so its hard to get him to feel something. bc of this he doesnt realize when the stray cats in his yard are snacking on him

Who’s more likely to find who wearing their clothes?: theria in fel’s stuff. Aside from the fact that she’s smaller and they fit her better, she’s also generally more shameless, and he has comfy shit. fel has had many of his things stolen because she walked out of the house wearing it

Who initiates hand holding?: I’m not sure. She takes the initiative a lot, but Fel is a bit touch averse. I think she’d definitely brush his hand to kind of gauge how he’s feeling or wait for him to initiate? So both? Both.

Who likes having their hair washed by who?: Haha both ways. Fel thinks people touching his hair is weird.

Who likes to slow dance?: Theria, considering how terrible Fel is at it?

Muse that’s more likely to fall asleep with their head in the others lap?: Theria, typically

Muse that does all the cuddling in a blanket fort?: Who has time for a blanket fort? Though Theria is generally the more cuddly one.

Who hogs most of the covers at night?: Ahah both of them are weak and hate the cold and it’s a fight til she eventually learns to just lay on him. Cozy

Muse who nuzzles the others shoulder to get them to give them a head rub?: Felassan isn’t a fan of touching people/being touched, so neither.

How do they share a dessert? Two forks or one?: I want to say two, though when travelling and utensils are scarce, one has been known to happen, and they pass it back and forth.

Who gets jealous more easily?: I don’t know? They’re both pretty secure I would think, so, neither? Though Fel generally lets more roll off of his shoulders than she does.

Who gets angered more easily?: Theria for sure, Fel has better control over his emotions

How do they go to sleep at night?: Felassan always manages to fall asleep first, no matter what. He doesn’t initiate cuddling, but wont turn it down if Theria wants to.

Who gets the most shoulder rubs?: Maybe Theria? Squeaky wheel gets the grease and all that...and how she complains when she’s confined to slumping over her desk…. Fel has nice hands ;0

What are there arguments/fights like? How often do they fight?: Well....it depends? Occasionally there are raised voices because, Theria at least, gets frustrated easily but generally I want to say it’s a colder kind of anger. Again, Theria throws in a lot of unneccessary barbs / jabs because she can be petty, though this is toned down a lot with Fel. They don’t fight often after the initial friction at Haven. Once they get to know each other, there are disagreements I guess, but fights are usually over big things. Like the Well. Or stealing from the Dalish. Basically over things they have a lot of feelings about. Their arguments tend to drag, however.

Who is more likely to throw things in fights?: Neither. She might hit a wall or something if she’s feeling like she needs to punch something but she doesn’t throw things and I can’t really see Fel doing the same?

How do they make it up to each other/apologize after an argument?: Fel would be content to just pretend it never happened, and likely would never say anything unless deeply unsettled. They’re adult enough to talk about their feelings.

Do they have nicknames for each other?: well, the usual dalish diminutives but with a humourous edge, like hahren and lethallen. Also, of course, ma vhenan and a few other ones. I think Theria’s got more nicknames for him, though, than he does for her, and she’s more inclined to use them. For Fel, da’len when he’s in a mood. Otherwise, Theria is as close as a nickname as it gets.

Caring for each other while ill, how does the other muse go about it?: Theria hovers. Not right next to him 24/7 mind you, but she tries to stay within hearing distance in case he needs something, and will generally bring him lots of soup and foods and herbs from her childhood that helped when she was sick. She also knows the apothecary and, if they’re at Skyhold, she totally uses her influence to get medicine, etc. Felassan has a similar approach, but is more likely to let her sweat it out (while keeping a quiet eye he will deny ever having)

Who’s more likely to be patching the others wound?: Fel. She’s more often the injured party. Theria gives him a run for his money in keeping her intact.

Muse that says ‘I told you so’, after they come home from the beach and other muse is burnt to a crisp while whining how bad it hurts for not listening and putting on sunblock after the other muse repeatedly told them they’d get burnt?: Neither? Don’t get me wrong, they’re both ‘I told you so’ people...but Theria hates the beach and Fel has spells to protect from the sun anyway (if I’m remembering Solas’s ambient dialogue right), so. Eh?

Your otp has a newborn baby, who gets up in the middle of the night when he/she cries?: Theria, generally, though sometimes she’ll send Fel….and then likely has to get up regardless when he has no idea what to do from there. xD He has no idea

Your muse’s of the otp reaction to finding the others crying about something? And how do they make them feel better?: Well, Theria’s all about talking it out so she’d ask. And hang around, maybe even hold him while he lets it out. And she cracks stupid jokes for sure. Somehow, they work. Felassan has a very unhelpful approach to comfort, so he just sits there and listens lol.

What would they be like as parents?: Very balanced, I think? Theria knows a lot, about training and taking care of young kids and where she’d be brash and angry, he brings a level head and a clearer perspective. What a badass child, though.

What would they have been like as childhood sweethearts?: Well, that means the fall of Arlathan would’ve been in Fel’s childhood, probably, and he would’ve come to Clan Lavellan and been adopted. I think he’d be more stereotypically Dalish, and in short, a lot would be different

honestly i have no idea cause i haven’t even cemented what fel was like as a child (mo)

Who initiates taking a bath together?: Theria by default, although I’m not sure they ever have a bath big enough where it’s at all practical to do so? Unless it’s bathing in a river and then there is a lot of eyebrow waggling from Fel.

Who likes who playing with their hair?: Fel likes playing with Theria’s hair, he just thinks it’s weird if Theria touches his cause it’s so thick and corse.

The place they mostly likely accidentally fall asleep together?: In their tent? Idk, most of their naps together consist of Fel going on a Dream adventure and Theria finding him later when she can take a break and just passing out herself. So it’s kind of deliberate.
