I think we should talk about Leo/Need more

During middle school, Ichika had to deal with Saki being hospitalized then having a falling out with Honami and Shiho directly after due to Shiho and Honami both becoming victims of bullying and not wanting to drag Ichika down with them. Ichika didn't even get an explanation as to why Honami and Shiho were leaving her either, she just got told "I don't want to be your friend anymore." and it got left at that. Even though Ichika still attempted to reach out, she got little in response and became extremely lonely as a result. Ichika blamed herself for the groups falling out and carried a lot of guilt about it for years; she felt listless and empty. She felt even guiltier since she was hiding the fact from Saki, who was already lonely and isolated enough as it was due to being hospitalized. Ichika spent 2 years all alone, no other friends, trying to get Shiho and Honami to talk to her, but all her efforts were fruitless. All she wanted were her childhood friends back During middle school, Honami was a big people-pleaser due to the overwhelming fear of being hated by other people. She was bullied because she had the tendency to befriend and show sympathy for people in different friend groups and avoided picking sides, to the point that she was accused of sucking up to others to avoid being hated and was called two-faced. She was treated as an outcast in her class. Once the next school year rolled around, she was afraid of being bullied again by her new classmates and only hung out with a small group of people, and subsequently, she started avoided Ichika and Shiho. Even after she started hanging out with that small group of people, Honami became wary that she'd be ostracized and hated all over again if she even made one small mistake. In one of Kanade's side stories, Honami admitted that she had the desire to "disappear" before. During middle school, Shiho preferred solitude and being by herself. She'd reject her classmates invitations to hang out, and ultimately, people started talking bad about her due to her aloof demeanor. Shiho didn't mind the gossip or rumors, but once people started talking bad about Ichika as well by default since she hung out with Shiho, Shiho pushed Ichika away and distanced herself from her in order to protect her. Since Honami was being bullied as well during that time, the two gradually grew apart once they both decided to stop interacting with the friend group. Shiho was in the light music club during middle school, and got frustrated due to the members lack of work and dedication. Once she brought it up, the club got into an argument which subsequently caused them to split up, only further worsening Shiho's reputation. She didn't mean to hurt either Ichika or Honami, all she wanted to do was protect them from getting hurt by her bad reputation. During middle school, Saki was hospitalized all throughout the duration of it due to her weak body and chronic illness. She was bedridden for days on end, and was extremely isolated and lonely. She questioned why she was the way she was, and was extremely jealous of people who could experience life normally. She never got to experience things like playing tennis, travelling or even going to school due to her poor health. Outside of immediate family, Ichika was the only one to visit her in the hospital, which she deeply appreciated. Whenever anyone visited her, Saki put on a brave face and smile so she wouldn't further upset anybody, despite how empty and hurt she was deep down inside. She'd spend her days crying without anyone there to comfort her, and often worried that she'd never get better. While in the hospital, she was completely oblivious to the groups falling out since nobody ever told her, and she only realized after being discharged from the hospital. Instead of making fun of Leo/Need for not being the most visually striking and having "boring" personalities, I think you should actually read their group stories, cause all of their lore is really interesting

QPR Leo/Need Headcanons

Ichika and Saki briefly got together in high school before Ichika realized she was aroallo and Saki realized she was lithromantic.

Honami joined the duo after high school, but Shiho never joined bc she has no desire to be in any sort of relationship. The rest of Leo/Need considers her their "fourth wheel," which is their way of expressing how important she is to them whether or not she's part of the QPR.

The entirety of Leo/Need shares an apartment together. The formal reason for sharing is so that it's easier to keep up with band practice, but really, they just like being with each other.

Saki and Honami love to make pancakes together on Saturday mornings for the others.

Although they each have separate bedrooms, Ichika, Saki, and Honami all have bunk beds in their room. Half of the time, they're not even sleeping in their own room so that they can be with the others. Ichika uses her own room so little that it's basically become their in-house studio. While Shiho prefers to sleep in her own room, she'll share a room with Saki and Saki only when the latter gets upset.

The rest of Leo/Need teamed up to persuade Honami to hang up her art around the apartment. Any visitor who insults Honami's art is subject to being kicked out, especially if Honami overhears.

Speaking of Honami, she's currently with Mafuyu, so the others have 25-JI over all the time, especially with Ichika and Kanade being friends. Although Honami was worried at first her friends and partner might not get along, they're now practically peas in a pod!

Honami always writes chore lists for everyone. At first, she assigned less chores to Saki, but at Saki's insistence, she made the chore distribution fully even.

Saki does most of the chores that require going out and about, and Shiho refuses to do any of those. Shiho would much rather stay around the house.

Most of Honami's chores are cooking for the rest of Leo/Need and hosting.

Ichika and Shiho regularly go out shopping for band-related merch together. Ichika buys Vocaloid stuff, while Shiho buys rock stuff.

Rui listening very carefully to Ichika's ramblings about Miku, finding that she reminds him a lot of himself when he starts going on about his inventions (as well as genuinely being invested in the tech side of Vocaloid.) when she gets embarrassed about it, he makes sure to immediately shut down any insecurities, not wanting to see a fellow passionate soul be ashamed of their interests- as people tried to do to him. this makes her so very happy that someone other than L/n shows interest in the things she likes. they also discuss plants together and Rui teaches her everything he learns during his time at the greening committee, in hopes to help her with her cacti

Rui becoming especially fond of Saki as she reminds him both of her brother and Emu. he finds out about her passion for hair and make-up and happily offers for her to try all sorts of styles on him, with his unique hair and eyes. if she uses mobility aids, he regularly checks them over to make sure they're in order and lends her the metal paint he uses for his robots so she can customise them. if ever there are days where she's feeling down and unable to make it to watch a show, he and Tsukasa will always organise a way to bring the show to her afterwards- several W x S performances have taken place in the Tenma living room. he shows concern about her health, tends to ask Tsukasa how she's doing once in a while

Rui once finding Honami close to tears because she thinks her baking skills have mysteriously worsened as the food she makes isn't quite as good anymore, but he finds out that it's just her oven that's become faulty and fixes it up immediately, so she's soon all smiles again. having some knowledge about cooking, Honami tries (keyword: tries) to find a way for him to eat vegetables as she's quite concerned upon finding out that he refuses to. alas, she has little luck. Rui strikes me as the type who had a space phase when younger, so gladly listens to Honami talking about astronomy

Rui, despite seeming very different to her on the surface, relating heavily to Shiho's experience of becoming isolated from peers due to them not understanding the extent of her passion for music- in his case, the same having been caused by his ambitious show ideas. he sees right through her and recognises her secret interest in cute things, and he may or may not be the reason that limited edition Phenny merch is magically still available when she has the time to go to PXL- however, he does make an attempt to get her to be less embarrassed about liking cute mascots, trying to explain that it doesn't damage her tough image. however, Shiho quickly turns the tables on him by pointing out how he's a fanboy of Shizuku MMJ! secretly which makes him shut up (she gets him MMJ! tickets in return for the Phenny merch)
