I DIDN'T WATCH THIS CLIP 60 TIMES AND CRY EVERY TIME #YOU CAN'T PROVE ANYTHING #but seriously it is unbelievable how sweet these brothers are. i am SO grateful that the movie is actually giving a lot of emotional weight #to their relationship! i just can't get over how mario is wholly focused on soothing luigi because that's what's important to him #and how luigi does relax and smile because he trusts his brother wholeheartedly #PICTURES TAKEN SECONDS BEFORE DISASTER :( :( :( :( :( :(#i also love how you can tell mario genuinely did not know that luigi was sucked in too (this is confirmed in the newest tv spot too)#and so he's kind of in quiet awe of where he is and then HE SEES LUIGI and PROTECTIVE BIG BROTHER MODE activates instantly #their reunion in the movie is actually going to end me. i will leave my mortal body behind and rejoin the sea. IT BETTER BE GOOD #but after this i don't see how it CAN'T be. this relationship is clearly the heart of the movie - if it's already emotional in this scene #then they've got to pay that off at the end!!! it's the law!!! otherwise things will just fall flat. i believe in u movie don't let me down

I've decided to just start watching through a bunch of corny horror franchises. First was all of the Candyman series, now Children of the Corn, then next I'm thinking From Dusk Til Dawn.

#i'm rewatching the suite life and i'm picking up on some insane parallels #like they're so specific???#they've literally both been on a game show and said while standing on the game show set #that they can't fight a girl #only to promptly get their asses kicked by said girls #i mean they both also ended up winning in the end but still #and that's just one. there's so many more #they've both traveled to an alternate dimension that was caused by a storm. and everything was like. backwards #the only time we've ever seen either of them drive a car it was a toy car #(i don't really count the truck because Hen wasn't really driving it. it was basically self-driving)#altho that one is kinda up for debate because I know henry took the wheel a few times when ray was being stupid #and zack may have driven his dad's red sports car in the movie?? it's been so long since i've seen it #i can't remember if we actually saw him driving it or just parking it #whatever. even if that one doesn't count there's still more #being involved in cheating during a spelling bee without actually being in the bee #being like 14 and heavily flirting with an older girl they have no shot with #having only one canon girlfriend that lasts more than one episode but ends up leaving them in the end #i know i've said it before but their canon superpowers are both speed based #i KNOW i've brought up the ghostbusters costumes 6 million times #i need to stop cause honestly i could go all night but who has the time

i think fatal journey is actually really good at letting us see Nie Huaisang's corruption arc, like he starts the film completely innocent (or willfully naive depending on how you look at it) re the sacrifices made to keep his sect alive and then over the course of the story is horrified as he learns of them, even as he partakes in them by going back for his paintbrush and causing the death of one of the men, and he takes a stand against the sacrifices!! He does! And he gets the rest of the men and his brother to question them! But then they all die anyway, either by the sword spirit or Nie Mingjue, and he sacrifices them again even after their death in telling Nie Mingjue that it wasn't him that killed them

#anyways this movie is about sacrifice #and the sacrificial victim in whatever form it takes #tldr nie Huaisang sacrificed some guy (accidentally but still) for a paintbrush and it's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen #i have So Many Thoughts About Him #nie huaisang #fatal journey #the untamed #more on nhs and jgy and mimesis another time i guess
