BUT UM. I haven't seen much archiving of this compared to the original card game, so when I found a copy on ebay I was like "screw it why not?". Feels like I've managed to obtain some kind of rare forgetten artifact lmao.
Anyway, I mainly just wanted to at least. Archive this somehow! I really wanna see if I can get a proper photo of all the cards at some point. I'm still trying to figure out the best way to do so. I'm tempted to scan them but obviously that comes w/ risks and uh. Yeah. Either that or getting a photo of everything. Just trying to get a HQ one I guess would be the issue...

Currently Reading: oh boy okay: all of us villains by amanda foody and c.l. herman, a gathering of shadows by v.e. schwab, and i am rereading bloodmarked by tracy deonn for the thousandth time even tho the next book isn't scheduled to come out until next year. i guess i hate myself lmao

Favorite Old Fandom You Wish Would Drag You Back In/Have A Resurgence: i would say merlin but they do it all on their own lmaoooo. otherwise...so like i absolutely despise the show for a multitude of reasons, but the fandom for the magicians (specifically in the 2018-2020 era) was something else. we got through a lot together (even tho i was mostly a lurker lol) and i guess i miss that sense of community? i hope everyone is doing well ❤

Hey, what’s the Hocotaition religion about in Startouched? I’m curious about it.
I only have a vague idea of what it's like, but it's a polytheistic religion. So they have multiple gods! They're divided into three groups (which others more familiar with my world building may note is different than answers I've given in the past. I change my mind lol):
Gods Above
Gods Below
Minor Gods
The Gods below are not evil, but are usually considered to use a more “tough love” approach and rule over more negative or unpredictable domains. Nor are the Gods Above necessarily good, just more predictable and more gentle in demeanor and domain.
For example, some Gods Above could be wisdom, hope, spring, ect. while some Gods Below could be work, winter, nature, ect..
Minor gods are more region specific and are incredibly varied. Guardian Tree Gods are common, as are certain people or animals being deemed Gods by their community after the individual's passing (which requires them to have done something notably good).
Those who practice the religion believe in all of them, but will only pick a few (or sometimes even just one, though rarely) to actively worship. Kinda just based on their own needs/values. They'll do this with themed altars around the house - Olimar's household even has a few!
The belief in ghosts/spirits is also common even in otherwise nonreligious people. Just as a little side note.
I don't currently plan on fleshing out the pantheon of Gods Above/Below, as tempting as it may be for me (hi I'm addicted to world building if you couldn't already tell). I do know one is Pomethera, a Goddess Above of hope/love, but she was made by @zombunny-art and not me. They'll be able to tell you more about her :3 I also know one is a God Below of Fortune (positive! But unpredictable, so I'm sticking him there) who has no name as of now but sometimes is just referred to as "fortune". Neither have really appeared in my stories yet, but I know Zombunny has mentioned Pomethera in one of their stories.
That's it. It's a lot more than I probably should have put into this lmao, but it was a lot of fun to do. Thanks for asking about it! :D I'm always down to screaming about world building.
Edit: I'll also start tagging these posts as "grub's head canons" as I want to use many of these ideas outside of Startouched as well! You can keep phrasing it as "so in startouched..." if you want, but my world building isn't limited to just it :3
