Me and my sister are watching the Harry Potter movies and I offhandedly mentioned that erm.. Potter puppet pals was a thing and that the actors for the movies liked the puppets so much they wanted to reenact the videos and she was like Wow that's so epic cool :) and a few minutes later she started humming the mysterious ticking noise and I was like :O and I said IS THAT THE MYSTERIOUS TICKING NOISE?!?!? and she said Huh??? :D no my friends were humming that earlier and they got it stuck in my head ^u^ and I was like Erm well... it's from the Harry Potter puppet thing I was talking about earlier... you should look it up :3 please :3333 and now we're watching the mysterious ticking noise :333333333

no okay but that post is exactly it!!!!!! exactly!!!!!!!!!! he'd say it but not like That. that's what it is!!!!!! no two characters are going to say a thing the same way!!!!! what a character says has to be what THEY are going to say, how THEY would say it, with THEIR dialogue style and THEIR personality, otherwise WHAT IS THE MOTHERFUCKING POINT OF IT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ahem. yes it can be about what would make a character say a thing they'd never. but they'd still say it in THEIR style. no two characters confess something the same way, shout the same way, even just say HELLO the same way. sure, they could say THIS, but HOW!!!!!!!!!!!! you know?????? you get it?????????? it's about crafting something distinct with this specific character, otherwise you're just using characters in name only
