i started playing spider-man ps4 in like. 2018. and i didn’t get super far into it but then i just kinda didn’t really use the ps4 until this week, and i’ve gone back to play (and hopefully finish) it, and either i don’t remember 80% of it or i just missed SO much last time lmao

#like i remember one of the last things i did before i didn’t touch it again was the fisk tower and like i was swinging around the outside of #and i haven’t even reached that yet but i have found SO much more #like i think i’m further in percent than i was last time despite being further back in the main story #i don’t think my brain was used to games back then #we had a wii and i had a ds but the games i played were categorically easy kids games because i was definitely not Good #and before i got spider-man the ps4 was mainly used for the lego games #but i’ve got four whole months to finish spiderman :)#then i’ve gotta go back and restart detroit become human #that’s another one that i left behind #i’ve managed to avoid spoilers all these years somehow #also star wars battlefront is the other one i want to finally play #the second one with the solo mission #i used to play it with my dad all the time and we’d play against each other until one of us got motion sick lmao #anyway #i’m excited to have gotten back into the ps4 #mads makes a post

Has anyone else noticed how campaign 3 seems much faster paced and higher stakes than either of the two previous campaigns? I mean we’re getting major lore drops and prying into calamity and pre-calamity stuff on the scale of things the mighty nein and vox machina barely scratched the surface of in their late games. Every episode feels like it’s escalating and like we’re careening toward something earth shattering (literally) and they’re only at level 6! Do you know what the mighty nein was doing at level 6?! Stealing a fricking pirate ship and fighting lizard people! Bells Hells is finding forgotten gods locked away in the moon that may or may not be threatening to destroy two planes of existence. This is insane.

I just got a new dematting brush for my cats and it works better than any other one I’ve ever tried this is the most exciting thing to happen to me in quite a while if I’m being honest

Idk if this is just something to do with destiny’s writing as of late, but ever since witch queen or possibly back to beyond light I find it harder and harder to get invested in actual in-game story events if I’m not already doing narrative rewrites in my head about how to make this more emotionally impactful to me.

It’s not that the writing is lackluster, per say, it’s just so… decentralized. This latest season’s mission is proof of that. As is, it was laughably short for what was supposed to be such a setpiece to match stakes and emotional weight I’m sure the writers wanted us to feel. Mentally adding a line or two about how the place is rigged to the teeth and having a non-Tormentor boss that doesn’t go out like a bitch for Crow’s line after to have a modicum of weight behind it instead of just “oh no forsaken 2! Uldren’s back!!1!” is doing a lot more for me than… whatever it ended up being.

I’m not saying anything I haven’t already said about Amanda’s character. They took a major step back with her this season I feel, which is the exact opposite impression you should get if all this is what you’re leading to. Unlock the narrative handcuff you chained her to Crow with. There is a wide variety of in-depth narrative-worthy character motivations other than “is Sad about dead (fill in the blank),” I promise. Pinky promise, even.

Hnnnng. Tryna finish Horizon Zero Dawn and oh my gosh is it taking so long. I’m literally almost done but I’m doing side quests and these machines keep killing me like😩.
