😭 CRYING - what makes them cry? do they cry easily?

It's not easy to make Rio cry. She doesn't express her emotions outwardly very often. Well, not all of them, at least. Annoyance, yes, she expresses that one outwardly all the time, but everything else sort of gets bottled up inside her and channeled out through her hobbies. Rio probably hasn't cried since she was very young.

👪 FAMILY - what is their family like? what is your ocs relationship to them? does your oc have any siblings?

It's no secret that Rio adores her big brother, Roman. They're all each other has had for years now. Rio was raised by her brother after their mom ran out on them. Rio was just a child, Roman was just a teenager, and neither one of them had any idea what to do now that they were on their own. They sort of had to make things up as they went along. As a result, their bond is diamond-strong and they trust each other implicitly.

🙈 SEE-NO-EVIL - whats a side of your oc that they don't want to show other people?

Rio. loves. cute things. 😱 I know, shocker. She'd rather die than admit it, but if you somehow manage to get a glimpse at her notebook, you'll see lots of cute little doodles in the margins. Mostly unicorns and flowers. She loves unicorns and flowers. She even has one or two plushies that she still hangs onto despite insisting that she's too old for them. When she's sure nobody is looking, she'll plant a little smooch on their little fabric foreheads.

🌌 MILKY WAY - what was the inspiration behind your oc? what was the first thing you decided about them?

Oh God. Ok buckle the fuck up. When I was 18 and playing Sims 2, I discovered the Sims community for the first time. I wanted to create a Bachelor/Bachelorette-type...thing...challenge? I guess you could call it a challenge. Anyway, I wanted other members of the community to participate because there was a show called "Married by America" airing at the time and I liked the concept of live voting. So I had people vote on the forum each week to see who would get voted off. Aiden, in his Sims 2 form, was a contestant vying for the hand of the lovely Bachelorette. Except he wasn't there willingly. He was new to Earth and had somehow gotten swept up in this reality show. He was constantly having mental breakdowns because everything was so new and strange to him. He was there a while. People really like seeing this boy suffer.

The first thing I decided for him was his name. I named him Aiden because it kind of sounds like alien, and also the idea of a space version of Ireland existing made me laugh. I can't really explain that part. I was a weird kid. I forgot what his original last name was so when I recreated him in the Sims 3, I gave him the last name Ayy because of the alien "ayy lmao" meme. I thought it fit because, you know, alien but also that it's sort of ironic because the alien in the meme is a laid-back stoner and Aiden is anything but laid-back.

🙉 HEAR-NO-EVIL - what is the worse thing your oc could hear from someone?

Anything his internal monologue tells him about himself. "You're a burden," "you make everything more difficult for the people around you," "people would be happier if you were gone." Hearing it from your own brain is one thing, but if anyone said that to him in real life? I don't think he could handle it.

💓 BEATING HEART - what gets their heart racing?

Aiden is a romantic at heart. He wants to be swept off his feet by the right Sim (any gender; Aiden is pan). You know those shoujo manga where the main character is walking with her senpai under a row of cherry trees as the blossoms flutter down around them? Aiden wants that. His little heart would just doki doki right out of his chest.

Roman:

💗 GROWING HEART - if they have a crush, is it noticable? what changes when they're in love?

Roman's a pretty big flirt so it's not immediately noticeable if he has a crush. It doesn't mean that he's a horndog, necessarily. He just really enjoys the back-and-forth banter of flirting, regardless of who it's with. It's when he's not flirting with someone that you start to think something is up. When he goes from suggestive innuendos to actual concrete displays of affection, you know he's got it bad.

🎵 MUSIC NOTE - what is their playlist like? their favourite artists? do you associate a particular song with them?

You know, it's funny, but I've never been the kind of person who creates playlists for my characters. I know a lot of people do, like my dear friend @happy-lemon makes these incredible playlists that somehow perfectly describe her characters, but I've never really been able to do that. There isn't any particular song that reminds me of Roman...however...

Ok this is weird. Stick with me.

When I'm writing Rogue Town, I usually have YouTube Music on in the background. I'll start with whatever song is in my head at the moment and then let the algorithm decide what plays next. Somehow, and I don't know how, it always ends up looping back to Hotel California. I don't know why. I'll be listening to Kpop and it ends up on Hotel California. I'll be listening to 80s funk and it ends up on Hotel California. I'll be listening to early 00s Nu Metal AND IT ENDS UP ON FUCKING HOTEL CALIFORNIA!!!!!!!!!! I guess you could say it's one of those songs you can check out any time you like but you can never leave. 🙄

So, while the lyrics don't fit Roman or his situation at all, I guess I'll always associate Hotel California with him.

🔫 PISTOL - do they trust people easily? how easily will they turn their back to someone? have they been backstabbed before? will they betray someone if given an ultimatum?

Roman is the most trusting guy you'll ever meet. Until he isn't. He'll let you come into his home, sleep in his bed, eat his food, wear his clothes, and act like you're part of the family...until you do something to hurt his sister. Then all bets are off. If you're willing to hurt someone who is, in his eyes, an innocent child, you are no longer trustworthy. Until then? You can do whatever you want to him and he'll still naively believe you didn't mean it and keep you in his life. Is that trust? Or is that something else? It's hard to tell with him. But yeah, he's been backstabbed before. That remains to be examined in the narrative. Whenever I get to it.

It was a normal day kids rushing to clubs or classes right nothing out of the ordinary there but then suddenly out of nowhere a student suddenly just snapped went mad and started shooting up the school

But apparently he also came with that gun well hidden to pull something like this any way he aimed the gun at me but Kenma jumped in front of me and took the bullet as for me all I could do was watch as my boyfriend lay there dying in my arms

End of flashback

Sho’s Pov

I couldn’t deal with the guilt and pain and the feeling being useless because that day that was what i was i was useless I was meant to get shot not Kenma now my brothers is worry about me alot because I haven’t spoke in 2 and half years today my older brother Suna asked me to become their volleyball manager and he said it might help me open up.

Rintaro approached his sister with a hopeful look he really felt she needed this so he just asked her out right

Rintaro:sho we need a manager and you need a way to deal with your grief come on this maybe good for you seriously would kenma want you moping around please sis be our manager

Sho:🪧: fine if it shuts you up and gets you off my back just don't bring up Kenma again Please

Rintaro:Sorry sis i know it is still a sore subject for you i just wish you would talk to me or Suguru so we can understand and share in your pain not have you bottle it up

Rintaro:She use to be a student in nekoma she was happy go lucky the schools sunshine then one day the school had a student that went on a rampage out of nowhere and started shooting up the school he pointed the gun at her i would of lost my sister if it wasn’t for her boyfriend he sacrificed himself for her and died in her arms

The team was in shock they heard of that shooting but to hear their cute manager was caught up in it upset them as well Rin continued and said

Rintaro:after that day she went mute she hasn’t spoken since okay earlier she whispered to me and that was the first time in a long time i heard her voice i forgot how angelic she sounds

sho saw her brother crying placed the water bottles down and ran to hug him

Sho:🪧: Onii chan are you okay why you crying big brother

Rintaro:I’m fine sunshine just fine

Sho:🪧 liar what’s up?

Rintaro:Fine i am worried about you okay and hearing you talk even a whisper i forgot how angelic you sound sis please talk i miss your voice i miss your singing

Sho:🪧 baka Rin baka

Rintaro:Stop calling me an idiot okay i know

Sho kissed her brother cheek and whispered practice now and went back to practice

Kita:Hey suna is you sister okay

Kita asked you know being the captain he is concerned for everyone in his team and as of now that includes sho

After practice suna went to Sho who was completely spaced out and unaware of here surroundings he kept saying her name and getting no result meanwhile sho was replaying something in her head

✨Flashback✨

After the school shooting sho covered for the boy who did it she said She didn’t know them nor did she get a proper look at them at least that is what she told the police truth is she did also he didn’t even go to Nekoma he was from Karasuno

he was coming for her like he threatened he would, he said he would end anyone that stood in the way and kenma got in the way his name Yamaguchi yeah to think she dated him for a year only to find him cheating on her with the king of court

so she guessed for whoever sees this video she is speaking the gods honest truth now and it be the last time she speaks because when she recorded that confession was when she took a vow of permanent silence

End of flashback

Suna called her again the team looked at her worried she was spaced out completely not with it and tears were rolling down her face

Sho’s POV

I do feel like a failure where Kenma is concerned because i couldn’t save him and i also feel like I failed yamaguchi i just wish i knew how i wish i could have done more but I can’t change what has happened just one more time to spend time with you one more time i would tell you everything i wish I could have now i am without i feel so lost kitty i need you

Time skip to training camp sho was made to stay with her brother as she is still not

Nekoma was the first to actually arrive followed by Seijoh and fukurodani they were late because bokuto was in emo mode cause he couldn’t find his phone of all things as so as sho saw bokuto she ran to him and signed his name for him to reply

Bokuto:HEY HEY HEY there’s my favorite baby owl wait your not talking

Yes he was unaware she went mute he walked to suna and said

Bokuto:what it with your sisters vow of silence

Rintaro:she hasn’t spoken since the death of Kenma he died in her arms and not in a romantic way

Bokuto:shit yeah I can see why she would want to take a vow of silence she does know the guy the shot him will be here

Rintaro:WHAT!? Sunshine go to Kita please

sho nodded at her brother and ran to Kita just as Karasuno Came in sho was shocked to see yamaguchi and she started crying everyone started to worry suga walked over to her and atsumu acting out of mainly instinct put his arms around her

Kita:what do you want with our manager

Suga:miss are you okay

Suna stepped forward and said

Rintaro:are you the captain of your team

Suga:vice captain why

Rintaro:come with me

Suga followed suna then suna started to talk

Rintaro:our manager is my sister she acted the way she did because of one of your players yamaguchi she is his ex well he was a school shoot at her school which was nakoma he shot her boyfriend he was aiming for her but kenma got in the way and took the bullet and he died in her arms since then she has taken a vow of silence she hasn’t spoken since it Traumatised her

Suga was shocked to say the least

Suga:poor girl and she has been bottling it all up all this time

Rintaro:pretty much so you can get why me my team and some of the other teams are super overprotective of her

Suga:definitely makes sense sorry we brought him and brought her trauma up

Rintaro:not your fault you weren’t meant to know I should go back to my sister

With that suna left Atsumu was still hugging Sho who had seemed to have cried herself to sleep everyone minus Nekoma where confused Suna instructed Atsumu to take sho to a dorm while he explains when he was sure sho and Atsumu was out of ear shothe started to tell people of sho trauma and Everyone sat down

Rintaro:you’re wondering why our manager acted like that when she saw Karasuno more Specifically when she saw you Yamaguchi she is my sister and yamaguchi’s ex

Everyone huh?!

Rintaro:expect yamaguchi couldn’t accept their break up after all it was you that cheated on my sister with the king of the court so in A blind rage you went to her school which at the time was Nekoma And you snuck in a gun and you started shooting up the school

Rintaro:When you found my sister you aimed at her and your plan would’ve worked if it wasn’t for her boyfriend at the time who jumped in front of her and took the bullet for her so you yamaguchi shot Kenma and he lay Dying in my sisters arms and you fled the scene like you were never there now because of you my sister is mute she has taken a permanent vow silence

Everyone was stunned shocked at what they were hearing they all viewed and saw Yamaguchi and a sweet innocent angel Karasuno sunshine but this this started to shift their view of him

Time skip to near the end a training camp Kita Atsumu and Sho had become close the boys were thinking of confessing and they knew exactly how they remember the drama club hadn’t dismantled the stage yet they were going to take advantage of it kita called for everyone’s attention

Kita: sorry sorry to interrupt you guys I know you were on a break and everything but me and Atsumu have something to say to Sho

Atsumu walks up to sho and leads her near to the stage and told her to sit on the edge she did music begun

The other day、I sorted through my lyric sheets that also had my stage positioning notes written on them！

I've always collected my lyric sheets for a single performance into a clear file、but that clear file is where I was storing all of my old sheets、so now it's a pretty big folder 📂

The other day、I sorted through all of the sheets I'd horded up until the winter Hello Con 😂

Reading through the set lists again was interesting、and remembering who I met eyes with when I stood at various stage positions、so I remembered all sorts of things 😙

Seeing the lyric sheets that were so essential to me in the past、and seeing all of the different stage positions I've learned up until now makes me feel really proud of myself 笑笑lollol

But saying all this、I've still only been here for 2 and a half years、so I can't even compare to what my senpai must have collected 🫢

I'll keep working hard while continuing to cluth my lyric sheets！笑笑lollol

Most of you guys know this was not our first time trying to get Cali pregnant, she gets in heat about every 10 months so for me this has been a big plan for YEARS 🙉 Right now i am SO happy, but at the same time so scared that she will loose the puppies or that the birth will be hard etc .. she is a bit old for her first litter (we did try earlier 🙉😂) so the next 4,5 weeks will probably be nerve-wracking! 🙉 Im glad this will be her first and last litter, as I only do this to have a puppy myself, I dont have the nerves to be a breeder 😂 I feel a lot safer to have Calis breeder helping me! Saw Encanto, very good, enjoyed it loads. One of the things that struck me though is a lot of people connected the dots on 2 of the sibling groups, but missed the third. Like I've seen some posts discussing how Louisa, Isabella and Mirabel are brawn, beauty and brains. Again, posts describing how Julietta, Pepa and Bruno are past, present and future also exist.

What I haven't seen are how Dolores, Camilo and Antonio are the three wise monkeys. Their gifts are correlated to hear no evil🙉, see no evil🙈, and speak no evil🙊. I'm not saying that they are themselves evil; rather their gifts can be used to harm people through the medium itself if they aren't careful. Like, Julietta's side of the family each have to deal with social pressure as a result of their gifts, but Pepa's side have gifts that are double edged swords, where they can accidentally hurt others if they aren't careful.

Dolores gift is the most obvious; auditory, she hears everything, even stuff people don't want her to, and then revealing Mirabels secret (twice, mind you) as the catalyst for ruining Isabellas engagement. Camilo, visual, uses his gift to physically misrepresent Bruno (he was defo not 7 feet tall, and he made him look pretty creepy), thereby making Mirabel see him as a threat (Pepa seemed more irritated by Bruno and Dolores just seemed a bit nervous about his gift, while Camilo straight up lies bc drama). Antonio, verbal, is the hardest to argue as we don't see his gift have negative impacts or drawbacks in the film; however, it's arguably a matter of time before a 5 year old child misleads or gives a confused explanation or request to a dangerous animal like the leopard, which seems to be driven to want to please him. Like, Antonio is a better speaker than most his age, but if he mispronounced a word, which even adults do, it could have drawbacks. Also, Antonio tells the Leopard to not eat Bruno's rats, but it is going to need to eat some of the other animals at some point, even if Antonio's attached to them.

it takes gracie about 10/15 minutes of fidgeting and tossing before she can fall asleep, but once she's out she's OUT for good lmao. like. "i once slept through a tornado" "people think im dead when i sleep" "u are not waking me up under any circumstances bestie <3" which is partially why nick has to do the "wake up button" thing every morning bc otherwise she'll sleep thru her damn alarms 😔

🍩 DONUT - favourite sweet treat?

gracie goes absolutely ham for nick's homemade (shortbread!) cookies and has to physically restrain herself from eating them all in one sitting! she has a big sweet tooth in general - she's not super crazy about confectionary but she loves baked goods; cakes and muffins and brownies nd whatnot. i think if she HAD to pick just one treat her spanish side would come out in full swing and she'd have to answer with churros <3

🍓 STRAWBERRY - do they eat their fruit & veg? what is their favourite fruit or vegetable?

gracie was vegetarian/casually vegan for about a year after highschool and still mostly prefers plant based meals ! she loves fruits and vegetables and would be quite happy cutting most meats out of her diet altogether tbh. her favourite fruits are apricots and peaches, while her favourite vegetables are bell peppers and coriander :) yeah she's a cilantro fan sorry haters <3

🌙 MOON - what is your oc's greatest wish? how far are they willing to go for it?

hm greatest wish currently is the very vague goal of "proving herself" and i guess also um. "making up" for her existence in general, by being the best in her respective field. so i think canonically that just means being Thee best MIV [ever, ideally] lmao, and hopefully making MIV supervisor if she's super lucky. there's not much she wouldn't do for it - she's already closed herself off to most relationships for the sake of her ambitions, and with peace and love to rosy? in a hypothetical scenario where he got in the way of her career i don't think she would choose him unfortunately :( thankfully he seems the last person who would try to do that so ! bullet dodge!

yes ! gracie is deathly allergic to shellfish 👀 she was hospitalized for it once as a kid after an unfortunate seafood paella incident and now she has to carry an epipen around with her everywhere </3

in case the answer above isn't obvious, she's VERY quiet. kinda similar to kenzie in a way, tho she's a lot more eloquent/accommodating when she does talk. gracie had a significant speech delay as a child and didn't say her first words until she was around 5 years old, because living with ments made her so naturally comfortable with communicating telepathically that there was never any real incentive for her to try. obviously bullying throughout school didn't help either, and so gracie really tries to "make up" for her loud brain by being as quiet as she possibly can be verbally, as if to balance it out yknow? she's educated, well-read and upper class, so she has a fairly sophisticated/formal speech style, but she's not overly wordy - most of her vocabulary is old fashioned, not verbose. ie she'll use somewhat dated words like "ought" "shall" "needn't" etc but she'll avoid 2 dollar works like. idk. "antidisestablishmentarianism" JKDJKDJFK

as for her voiceclaims, the closest i can possibly get is actually inara serra from firefly hehe :) i was gonna mention it during out marathon but i didnt wanna be annoying KJFGKJFGKJ

gracie's love language is gift giving so she LOVES finding her loved ones the perfect present. she's probably the best person in chicago to get gifts from because she has an insane budget AND she has a literal notes app doc keeping tabs on who wants what for birthdays/christmas/etc. ironically though she's not a big fan of receiving presents - her zero makes it SUPER obvious if she finds a gift disappointing, so she prefers to save everybody the awkwardness lmao. unless its a handmade gift like sally's painting which she'll always cherish, the ideal strategy for gracie is usually just straight up asking her what she wants and then telling her exactly what she's getting, so she doesnt have time to expect anything KJFKJKF. alternatively the safest bet is to take her out and let her pick her own gift, since she's fussy and buying her clothes/perfume/jewelry is always a gamble KJKJGDFKGDFJ SHE'S SPOILT OK!!!! but on the other hand she doesnt expect or need material gifts and greatly prefers thoughtful acts of service or being taken out somewhere nice <3

gracie has had three "official" boyfriends prior to ambrose. her first was a boy in her french class whom she was with for over a year when she was 15/16 before um. completely ghosting him after the hope incident 😔 next was a huge fuckboy vocalist in an indie garage band who nobody could believe was her boyfriend JKDFKJFDKJ she was about 18 at that time, and he cheated on her after about 6 months of dating so she left him. her most recent ex was maybe 8 months before mb starts? he was an art conservationist she'd worked with at the chicago art institute. he was a good nice boy who liked her a lot but she was so emotionally unavailable for him that he ended up leaving her after about five months so 🤪 she's a lot like nick in that she mostly sucks at romance lmao !

gracie and ambrose both gain greater appreciations for the other's interests after they start dating 🥺 gracie has never considered herself a big reader and usually only gets through four of five books a year, so she def develops a greater admiration for literature through rosy and loves listening to him talk about books. and vice versa i doubt rosy knew or cared much for art before meeting gracie, but eventually sort of learns to look at art the way she does and loves seeing her analyze and work through a piece ❤❤❤

I made an attempt to stop taking my medication. There was just one left at that point, and I decided to quit. I feel physically tired and almost exhausted. Nearly fell asleep during someone's defense and logged out before the discussion 🙉 If I feel worse, I'll start taking it again.

I guess I'm over my attachment to my old therapist. I understand how unhealthy my behavior was and sometimes wonder why we didn't explore that more.

I'm SH-free for two years! My current friends and coworkers know nothing about my past struggles, ahd I don't want to share.

I see a therapist regularly. It feels awesome to realize that I benefit from therapy but don't need it or depend on it. I couldn't imagine that 2 years ago!

I talk with my siblings less. I chat with my sister every other month or so and never talk about my life in details. With my brother, we FaceTime once a month. I stopped using social media and feel much better now that I don't see (and envy!) other people's lives. It works.

I've accepted the possibility of never seeing my relatives again, and it feels good. My guilt is gone. I'm free to spend time with those who fulfill me and to whom I feel close.

I still miss my pet every day. I look at his pictures and videos and wish he was here. He'll always be in my heart.

Life is ok. There are ups and downs. There's stress. There are disappointments and joyful moments. I feel almost "normal".

A memory that would continue to lay on the baker's mind for the rest of his days. The very reason he now lives with his grandmother, 2 aunts and his uncle. The cause of the two years of panic attacks in high school.

"My mom and dad went out to get ingredients for a cake while my older sister played some games with me. My mom gave me her old Walkman.” Chris smiled for a moment. “She promised we’d listen to In My Mind together.”

“What was normally a 30-minute trip soon turned into 2 hours. Then 2 hours was soon 4." he continued, "Next thing we know, Mrs Scott is at our door with an officer crying her eyes out and telling us 'Your parents are gone!'"
