#106: Koronid- Koronid is a skittish and kind Pokémon that hides in dark crevices during the day, only coming out at night. The crown-like structure on its back can be raised and lowered at will, and the moonlight glinting off of it startles predators. When it gets scared, Koronid shields itself by draping the crown over its back. Though it looks like gold, this structure is actually made of highly reflective nickel. Strangely enough, this crown actually evolved independently of human influence; when the first humans landed in the region of Sakew, this Pokémon’s nickel back was already crown-shaped. Despite its appearance, Koronid is very soft and loves to be pet. Tamed Koronid will play fetch like a Yamper. (Name from “corona”, meaning “crown”, and “arachnid”)

Come Back
AN: Hey so this is a fanfic based off two characters from the popular videogame Overwatch! This fic features the loving doctor Mercy and the cold killer Widowmaker! Hope you all enjoy it! Also warning: TORTURE is used
“Widowmaker your report from today’s mission?”
“All targets were eliminated with no witnesses.”
“Excellent. Your new assignment then is to interrogate the prisoner we took from your mission and find out what they know about the enemy’s location.”
“Yes sir.”
Widowmaker turned and left the dark meeting room where her superiors sat and made her way down the hall of Talon Headquarters. Other soldiers moved out of the way as the cold assassin walked through the halls towards the elevator. Amélie Lacroix aka Widowmaker was the top assassin in Talon and everyone knew that therefore they show their proper respect to the cold blooded killer. Entering the elevator she pressed the lowest button and watched as the doors shut and the elevator started to move down. When it reached her destination, the doors opened leading Widowmaker down a long cold corridor into another room. Inside the room was a group of scientists working away at their computers and equipment. The basement of Talon Headquarters is where the experiments were performed and where people like her came from. Those days were a mixture of pain and electric shocks that she didn’t want to look back. The person who she was before was no longer there, she was now Widowmaker and Widowmaker had a job to do.
“Which cell is the new prisoner being held in?” the assassin asked.
“Cellblock 010 ma’am.”
The Talon worker handed Widowmaker a keycard with the correlating number and pointed her down the hall all the way to the end where she cell was. Swiping the keycard, the light above the door turned from red to green followed by a loud buzz and a click. Widowmaker opened the door and walked in to find someone she thought she would never see in a prison cell.
“Well well well look what we have here~” the assassin said in a whimsical tone.
There sitting in a chair with arms tied behind her back and feet chained to the ground was the medical officer herself Dr. Angela Ziegler aka Mercy. Mercy was the head of the Overwatch medical unit and was a bright woman in her field. Having discovered numerous advances in medical technology the doctor was almost considered a God among medical staff. On the battlefield however, she was known to be an angel having saved countless lives from the hell that was war. Widowmaker was surprised to see someone so important to Overwatch get captured and brought straight into the spider’s den for her to play with.
“Amélie…”
Widowmaker glared at Mercy with daggers while slowly walking over to her to further examine her.
“Haha looks like the brutes really ruffled your feathers. It looks like you have a broken wing.”
Widowmaker reached out and lightly touched the left wing and watched as Mercy winced in pain from the light touch. Upon examining her body Widowmaker noticed that Mercy’s Valkyrie suit had been damaged to the point where it was barely functional. Knowing the power of nanotechnology, Widowmaker knew that the doctor was in great pain from the damage her wings suffered from the abduction.
“Whatever you’re planning on doing to me I won’t talk. You know me Amélie and you know I don’t crack that easily.” the wounded doctor remarked as she was being examined.
“Well dear we have all the time in the world so get ready for long and agonizing trip.” Widowmaker retorted with an evil smile on her face.
“No matter how much pain you put me through I can take it.”
Widowmaker wanted to put the brave angel’s words to the test so she walked behind Mercy gently caressing her shoulder before ending up right behind her wings.
“Now mon cher you have two options, tell me everything you know about Overwatch or suffer.”
Widowmaker started to stroke the connectors of the wings to Mercy’s body causing her to let out a small gasp. Mercy wasn’t going to give up that easily so she replied,
“I’m not going to give in that easily mon cher.”
Widowmaker didn’t like the defiant tone that Mercy was using so she grabbed the connectors of the wings and tugged them causing the doctor to let out a loud cry. Widowmaker knew how interconnected the wings were to Mercy’s body almost as if they were another limb to her. If she wanted to Widowmaker could do more damage to Mercy by just messing with her wings than actually hurting her body. The devious spider however liked to play with her prey in several different ways and so she was going to try to draw out her play session for as long as possible.
“Now come mon cher. Tell me what you know and I can stop all of this.” Widowmaker offered.
“I’d rather die than tell you anything.” Mercy responded.
Before Mercy could say anything else she was immediately put into another tsunami of pain as Widowmaker pulled on her wings making her cry out. Mercy gripped the chair so hard that her knuckles turned white and her nails dug into the wooden chair handles. She would try to lean back to ease the pain but any movement at all sent shockwaves of pain throughout her body. If she had known this was going to happen she would have taken off her Valkyrie suit but the doctor was trapped in the spider’s web and she wasn’t going to go anywhere. Mercy believed that her comrades would come to save her but as of now it appeared that no one was coming. All she could do was remain silent and try to get through the pain while Widowmaker had her twisted ways with her. The next two hours could only be described as absolute hell for Mercy as she was subjected to more torture at Widowmaker’s cold blooded hands. Every timed it seemed like she was going to pass out from the pain, Widowmaker would punch her bringing her back into reality. Widowmaker wasn’t going to let the doctor off that easily and was going to get the information whether Mercy was willing to or not.
“I’m starting to grow very impatient mon cher. I will say if we don’t hurry up we will have to resort to drastic measures.” Widowmaker threatened as she wiped the blood from her hands.
“G-Go to hell.. You monster..” Mercy managed to say with blood dripping from her mouth.
Mercy’s abdomen was now covered in bruises and her left cheek was swollen to the size of a tomato. Her back was now numb and no longer responding to pain back there so Widowmaker had decided to play with the rest of Mercy’s body. Punches to the stomach and whips to the legs, Mercy took all of them while still managing to keep her silence. Widowmaker didn’t know how the doctor was lasting this long but she was starting to get irritated and was ready to pull the plug on her long game.
“Doctor, if you don’t tell me what I need then I will kill you.”
“I-I told you to go to hell!”
Widowmaker had reached her limit at this point and had decided to snap. She reached into her boot and pulled out a hunting knife placing it up to Mercy’s neck. Mercy could feel the cold steel against her neck and simply smiled and started to giggle.
“What’s so funny?” Widowmaker asked slightly irritated.
“If I’m going to die, I’m glad it’s going to be by you Amélie. I wouldn’t have anyone else but you do it.”
“Es tu devenu fou?”
Mercy only smiled and closed her eyes as she waited for the swift movement of Widowmaker’s blade. Widowmaker on the other hand was surprised to hear something like the doctor who was so proactive about the importance of life. The fact that the doctor was so willing to die astonished the usually calm and collected assassin. It was then that something jolted in the back of Widowmaker’s brain causing her to back up and drop the knife. There was a gentle voice in her head telling her things that she had never heard of before.
“Amélie promise me that if I’m ever injured in battle and you can’t save me, kill me.”
“Don’t say that Angela you’re not going to get hurt. Gerard is going to take care of you!”
“I know but I’m just saying, if there’s ever a situation where it came down to saving me or Gerard I would want you to kill me instead.”
“You’re too serious Angela. Keep saying things like that and I’ll stop bringing you your morning coffee.”
Widowmaker cried in pain as these voices mumbled in her head and her mind began to fill with images of the past she thought she had forgotten. She saw a familiar blond doctor wrapping her arms around the french woman’s neck embracing her closely. Images of intimate moments between the two flooded Widowmaker’s mind causing her to fall onto the wall. She didn’t know what was going on but knew that she had to kill Mercy if she wanted these images and voices to stop. Fighting the pain, Widowmaker picked the knife back up and made her way over to Mercy who was still looking at her with that annoying smile.
“Playtime is over mon cher. Now die!”
Just as Widowmaker was about to slice the angel’s neck right open, there was an explosion and the door was blasted off its hinges hitting the assassin in the process. Widowmaker was slammed into the wall and pinned by the heavy door. All she could do was watch as Overwatch fighter Pharah flew into the room.
“Angela!”
Pharah quickly ran over to Mercy and freed her from her bindings while gently lifting the injured angel. She then turned to the pinned spider and aimed her weapon at Widowmaker who was still trying to get out from under the door. Filled with rage, Pharah almost fired but was stopped by a weakened Mercy who moved the weapon away.
“D-Don’t shoot.. Amélie..” Mercy said weakly.
“Tsk you got off easy this time Widowmaker. Next time you won’t be so lucky.”
Pharah blasted her weapon up into the ceiling blasting an escape route to the ground floor. She then held onto Mercy before taking off leaving the Talon Headquarters. Widowmaker tried to go after them by shooting her grappling hook but missed and grabbed the wall. She managed to pull herself out from under the door right when Reaper came in.
“We’re under attack. Where’s the prisoner?!”
“She escaped.”
“We’ll deal with you later. For now get out there and fight!”
Widowmaker followed Reaper’s orders and followed him soon after to deal with the Overwatch intruders. Meanwhile Mercy was being flown to safety in Pharah’s arms who was worried sick for her. As they were flying Pharah looked down and saw Mercy had fallen unconscious but had tears falling from her eyes. Pharah landed for a moment to wipe away the angel’s tears and was caught off guard when Mercy suddenly grabbed Pharah’s hand.
“Dr. Ziegler?”
“ Amélie.. don’t go.. please.. come back..”
