watched the bluey episode dragon today and it changed meeee I spent hours drawing tonight bc I felt so encouraged by it!!

#i mean it wasnt just the episode #i stopped drawing years ago #after drawing around 300 rats and realising i still didnt know how to draw rats #and i was like. well clearly something is fundamentally wrong with me #but then i started art therapy #3 years later (and ive only drawn anything in art therapy like 3x despite going every week)#(i mostly make weird objects and such)#ive realised #oh. art is not what i thought it wAs #suddenly im so so okay with drawing whatever #and that episode was like ok yeah youre right!! ill draw!!!#for fun!!!!!!!!!#i wanna be like chilli!!!#ed mumbles #also traditional media my beloved #i dont think ill ever go back to digital #it just defeats the purpose for me #i want to feel i want to touch and smell and play!#and i want the limitations of traditional #no undo button

#song of the day #it's not at all summer yet but it is spring!!#it's chilly when the wind blows and the dew-damp sticks around until noon but the sun is out and the sky is maybe not clear but close!#spring!!!!#I put my first early plantings in the garden today #I had planned for a bunch of marigolds but I got a different batch of flowers instead #so now what's down is rootings for a bunch of perennial flowers #sea holly and red-hot pokers and butterfly weed and hollyhocks #and then my little pea plants #I told Kelly I'd share pictures but for today it only looks like a square of dirt--I'll definitely share pics when my sprouts come in!!#beautiful beautiful garden times #summer of 2010 when this song came out was the first time in three-ish years I'd spent much continuous time with my family #my littlest siblings were old enough to be away from Mom for a while and still young enough to be lulled to sleep by the car #and Mom was very eager to be left home alone to sleep (and play this weird chicken bowling game she was briefly addicted to)#and so we went on a lot of long leisurely pointless car rides and we listed to a lot of #(I will never not hear this in my head) 96.9 The Kat! country music radio #and this got added to the short list of songs I sang to myself #it's so catchy!! cute fun moderately-bouncy little earworm and my voice cruises up and down it so easy #'when the days start gettin warmer / the sun starts sinkin slower / weekends go by faster / and beer starts tastin colder #wanna tune into a station / takes me on a soul vacation / hey there mister dj / come on won't you please play'#and crucially Dad did not mind this song--which could not be said for 'There Is No Arizona' by Jamie O'Neal #or (after I sang it approximately ninety million times) 'Just What I Do' by Trick Pony #we also had--this was very fun for me--we had exactly one CD we could play in the car (because it was stuck in the disk player)#and that was Joe Diffie's 'Third Rock From The Sun'#so many songs of absolute joy on that album. lucky as hell that Dad agreed because it meant we'd crank it up so loud #close my eyes and let the sun shine all red through my eyelids #sing some real dumbass enjoyable-as-all-getout songs at the top of my absolute voice #Dad laughing and singing along and the littles sleeping through the all of it like the precious babies they were #these are the songs of sunshine and pointless happiness! it's not summer but it will be! my garden doesn't have plants yet but it will!#sing a song!!

My Patreon and Ko-fi subscriptions are on hiatus! Just wanna announce about it, you know, in case you might wonder why the lack of stuff related to those.

I am planning to get it back up on January, it could be later than that. But I'm also thinking about closing em altogether. The monetary support was such a massive help and I can't really be thankful enough; and I do believe the sketch/doodle request had helped me improve on stuff. However I underestimated how actually unpredictable my speed on drawing is. Sometimes I have a pace. But when my drawing speed gets slow, it gets real slow. The owed drawings catch up on each other, and the general schedule becomes an ugly mess. 😅 Seems like I'm not cut out for this much responsibility for consistency that comes with a subscription-based page; and seems the practical thing to do is just get rid of it, and get back to owning moneh just through commissions. Bad ending but Hey at least aside from the financial help I personally experience what it's like to have a Patreon too.

#There will still be two patron/member shout outs from the last batch though. Like late shout outs.#Man I am so sleepy rn I hope I'm being coherent. #im so used to the weather back home at this time #it starts getting chilly #the warm clothes are out #your brain automatically knows we're nearing end of the year #but this tropical weather down south #feels like summer all the time #and my body doesnt recognise the passage of time the same way #im mentally still in May #when its humid as fuck #and its raining every other day #with thunderstorms so scary you wanna snuggle and watch TV #idk man #fucking hate the decision i made of studying here #obviously education here in south is much better than north #and people here are nicer and environment is cleaner #pros and cons to every place i guess #mentally stuck in first sem while i write finals for third sem nice

when will we as a society be free from the death grip Sriracha has on restaurants when you want your food spicy.

bestie u used all these flavorful spices and sauces and you're overpowering all of them by just drowning it in Sriracha, i can barely taste anything else.

#this didn't happen rn im having a breakfast burrito n squeezing A BIT at a time #and like. in controlled amounts it's good bc there's Balance. yeah i can taste the Sriracha but i can taste everything else too.#but the last thing I got was a yakisoba dish but they DROWNED it in sriracha when i asked for it spicy and 😭#which was unfortunate bc it felt like a pound or a few of food and I couldn't eat more than a few bites 😔#like when iii make my food spicy i use actual spices or make the sauce/salsa etc. u can taste it all and it's v flavorful n hot.#kinda wanna make more chilli oil again 🤤 always vaguely craving peppercorn #i feel like my list of bottled hot sauce i fw is small tho. red rooster/Louisiana. tapatío. tobasco chipotle. and uh.#that's it (⁠｡⁠ﾉ⁠ω⁠＼⁠｡⁠) I'll use some Valentina too if there's nothing else but yeah.#i have a high tolerance so none of these are hot and just taste very vinegary or tomato-y to me (⁠´⁠-⁠﹏⁠-⁠`⁠；⁠)#i don't mind tomato but i do Not like vinegar outside of very specific dishes
