SQOTD Time!! ~ @simblr-question-of-the-day ~
Platforms I started off as a PC Player when I was around 4-5 years old, starting with Sims games and a lot of game websites (Friv FTW!!), but as I got older (around fifth grade), I got my own phone! So I was a mobile player for a LONGGG while (esp. since we've never had the money to buy me a gaming laptop), and I'd play a lot of CoD mobile, Minecraft, Genshin impact, and Ark mobile (ik theres more but idr them 🧍‍♂️), It wasn't until last year that I got my gaming laptop AND Xbox Series S, So i've been primarily PC Player and occasionally a Console Player
Genres Idk tbh 😭 I never really keep track of the genres I play, but I guess Action, Adventure/Survival and Simulation games? I also really enjoy games with story (despite me being shit at remembering story and having a terrible attention span) and games that are endless/have an ending but let you keep playing after the end (idk what genre that'd be but ye)
Games I'm playing
I'm gonna put the ones I'm playing rn and then put games I've played under the cut :) !
Red Dead Redemption 2 (Actually playing it rn LMAO) Minecraft (Very off and on) Manor Lords (sort of, Havent played in a hot minute) and that's it 🧍‍♂️ I don't play a lot of games at the same time 😭
Games I've played (And recommend >:))
Every Sims game ofc Stardew Valley ACNH (Switch) Noita Terraria Slime Rancher 1 and 2 (Didn't finish 1, and played thru most of 2, cant finish it cuz its in early access lol) Rain world (Biggest recc to ppl who love survival, 2d platformers 😩) Maneater (I fucking speedran this game by accident and gave myself carpal tunnel LMFAO) Project zomboid (actually the best zombie game no lie🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️) Far Cry 5, New Dawn and a little bit of Primal Shadows of Doubt Beyond Two Souls (SO FUCKING GOOD. LOVED EVERY SECOND I PLAYED OF IT) Detroit Become Human (Same ppl who made Beyond Two Souls and I will never stop singing my praises for this fucking game) GTA5 (Very little LMFAO) Baldur's Gate 3 (LOVE this game, but I stopped playing after a bit 😭 Will def return to it eventually) Viscera Cleanup Detail (BANGER cleanup game, very gore-y tho) ARK on Mobile, Switch AND Xbox (such a good game idc what anyone says 🤷‍♂️) Monster Prom (listen its SO FUNNY AND I LOVE IT LMAO) Ultimate Custom Night Fears To Fathom 1 Stray Gods (Never finished it but it was REALLY good) Borderlands 2 on Switch and PC (Also played a bit of BL1, BL:Prequel(?) on switch and I havent finished any of them but I really like BL2) OMORI (Watched playthrus but I've played a good chunk of it also made me bawl SO FUCKING HARD on my first watch through of this game) Disco Elysium (Didn't finish, BUT It's a really good game) Before Your Eyes (PLEASE PLAY THIS GAME IT MADE ME CRY LITERALLY EVERYTIME I PLAYED IT AND SAW SOMEONE PLAY IT 😭😭) Stray (DIDNT FINISH IT BUT I LOVEE ITTT SM)

One Piece Clowns Ranking
This is based on two merits - Clownly power and fuckability, though the order is based on 'closeness to being a true clown'. A joint project between me and @poisonbat, who greatly surpasses me in clownly power.
Buggy the Clown (The Gateway Drug of One Piece Clownfuckers)
Tumblr media
He’s a clown in name and in presentation; classic whiteface type, love of bold colors and patterns, showmanship, and commitment to theme (he made his entire crew a circus after all). He was also ASSIGNED clown at birth via his natural red clown-looking nose and just rolled with it as his theme in adulthood. If not for his chosen career (pirate) and tendency towards destruction/anger when his nose is brought up, this man could have made bank on the circus entertainment circuit. He’s 39 (37 pre-time skip) but wearing his age well despite the stresses of his lifestyle, so I guess you could argue DILFy energy if you’re into that I guess, even if he doesn’t have kids.
Fuckability: when this guy is called the Gateway Drug, I mean that not only is he the first clown introduced in the series and remains the only one for a long while, he also hits the necessities - he starts out as the dark horse sexyman type, goes to prison to get a stripped down to essentials look that shows off his long hair and figure for the people who don’t look at something until it’s minimalist, and then starts stacking up the memes. It would be weirder if there wasn’t a sizeable chunk of the fandom that wanted to fuck him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And while it's still brand new, the Netflix series speedran his popularity by having him in the entire season in arcs he wasn't in originally, in addition to the fact that fans of live action media are for some reason WAY more susceptible to clownfuckery. Just think about all the thirsty Joker/Harley/Pennywise thirst of the past.
Mr. 7 (Previous)
Tumblr media
This one is relatively new, as he only had an extremely crude drawing for years prior to the production of the Live Action series, but in terms of clownliness, he ended up coming out so clown that from the trailers, a friend of mine was convinced he was a Buggy crew member. Mr. 7 is the second most clown because like Buggy, he's almost entirely just in on the gimmick, except instead of the classic whiteface archetype, Mr. 7 opts for the Jester type, only missing the typical hood/hat most associated with them ala DCAU Harley Quinn or most old depictions of joker Playing Cards.
Fuckability: Assuming you're not racist and like the color red and want to create more of a backstory for this guy, you could do a lot worse. Pretty decent, all things considered.
Miss Father's Day
Tumblr media
A Jester like Mr. 7, Miss Father's day commits to the mixing of that with the theme of "frog". Less traditional, but still clearly a jester, and including the hood Mr. 7 lacks. She might not be more than a passing antagonist during the final battle phase of Alabasta, but her design is memorable and completely filled with clownly spirit… and there’s definitely characters on this list who have had less plot contribution than her. She also has a laugh that’s literal ribbiting.
Fuckability: Pretty decent. She’s a near-standard One Piece woman, which is fairly solid ground - though I’m hoping that if she shows up in the Live Action, we get an interesting person under the froggy hood - and the first person for women-likers on the list, so it’s not a bad place to be. Especially if you like frogs. Cons - the 4Kids dub made her French.
Puggy
Tumblr media Tumblr media
‘Who’s Puggy’ you might ask? Well, he’s a character from one of the One Piece Live Attractions. In terms of clownliness, this was a guy who got a job bodyguarding Buggy post-time skip and immediately went all in on the man’s theme, even so far as becoming Buggy’s apprentice. He also appears in the spin-off manga "One Piece Party". He models himself after his Mentor Buggy, though with a mask that contains his non-natural clown nose and large multicolored hair. His general clothing style is a bit more modern, but the taste for bright colors (largely neon pastels) and bold check-pattern still is solidly clown in action.
Fuckability: Do you want a younger, sexier, washboard-ripped, tits-out-all-the-time Buggy? Here you go.
And now we enter into the land of Clowncore - the ‘clownly in vibe, but perhaps not in direct intent’ land where fashion precedes strict function of the role. Still plenty of room to be hot though.
Charlotte Mont-d’Or
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A curious entry on the list, given that Mont-d’Or wears the full whiteface, but it’s where he lives. Mont-d’Or lives in the shadow realm between proper clown and clowncore, mixing in the subtype of goth just for pleasure with the skeleton patterning of his clothes. He comes off very halloween scarecrow feeling but is still a lot more clown than some others further down this list, so points for that.
Fuckability: …there’s a proven market, I’ve seen it on AO3 and in other places, but personally, I’m baffled. He doesn’t bring looks or charm to the table and, while there’s nothing wrong with a chubby man, something about Mont-d’Or’s figure unsettles me, with his large potbelly but otherwise spindly body. So, yes on technicality, but it’s a different kind of ‘why’ from me personally.
Charlotte Perospero
Tumblr media
While lacking the makeup of his younger brother and not being a traditional clown, his candy inspired look is EXTREMELY clownish and is probably one of the most vibrant looking clowns in One Piece thanks to it. The man’s hair comes with its own polkadot pattern, and it’s a rare look for him to not have another two or three somewhere else on his body.
Fuckability: again, there’s a proven AO3 market. If you like middle aged men, he's 50 and well. Um. His tongue, if you want that. He’s also tall, though most members of the Charlotte family are that. Otherwise, there’s not a whole lot to write home about, beyond the very solid amount of ‘x reader’ fics on AO3. Not my dish, personally, but hey, you do you.
Charlotte Mozart
Tumblr media
Are you beginning to see a pattern with this family? While Mozart is less ‘important’ to the story of One Piece than her previously listed brothers (she doesn’t even have a voiced part!), there is no questioning the clownly energy of a woman who styles her hair into a jester’s cap. She also wears standard clown-y patterns on her outfit, though in a more subdued red than the blasting vibrant colors of her oldest brother.
Fuckability: If you like women, I think her design is more appealing/attractive than Miss Father's Day since it's a little more pulled together and coherent in a fun way. Also she's 37, so hey. If you like older ladies, that's another plus. Her face and body are fairly standard for One Piece women, but that’s kind of the plague of being a tertiary ‘just above background’ character. Doesn’t stop her from being attractive though.
Donquixote Rosinante
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Maybe a bit more contentious than some on this list, however, Mimes are part of the clown family; and Rosinante is much more themed than people below him here. Like, only slightly but…it's there. He wears a fairly involved make-up pattern (though the argument that those are tattoos just increase his ‘clown’ factor via dedication alone) and doesn’t shy away from an aesthetic theme, as his dedication to heart motifs in his clothing shows.
Fuckability: high, but in a ‘most common denominator’ way. He’s a DILF in the same way (though to a slightly lesser extent) that fandom darling Din Djarin is, he’s not so ‘out there’ that those less dedicated to clownfucking (or those not adverse to the concept) are chased off, and he’s soundly average in build. There’s also a small advantage in the fandom art space likes to build off of his canon design and make him pretty. So yeah, if you’re into vanilla with a shitload of sprinkles, he’s very fuckable.
Ann
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Who's Ann? Again, we go to the Live Attraction - and then to Stampede, because our girl managed to break into the Big Time of One Piece animation! While her design was obviously meant to be pop idol-ish, it honestly comes off waaaaay more casual clowncore with the curly two toned kinky hair and asymmetrical patterns and bright colors, though it cannot be denied that she’s more of a dedicated idol than a straight clown. Also gets points for originating in the same Live Attraction that Puggy did as a (somewhat unwilling) member of Buggy’s crew.
Fuckability: High, she's really cute and has a bonus of actually looking unique in terms of the younger One Piece women designs, with freckles and a different looking facial structure than the standard, even if only slight. She also has a very sweet personality, even if she’s a bit of a ditz in action. She may not be the most clown-y but she at least has enough to offer a compelling case more than a lot of the other women on the list, it must be noted.
Giolla
Tumblr media
Slowly getting to the least clown-like but still enough for my clown obsessed friend to consider making the cut. Giolla mostly makes it just on her two toned bright frizzy hair and kinda ehhh grandma fashion. Fuckability: underground. Even if you’re good with a character rendered in the Gonk style or her younger more conventionally attractive looks, the ‘chillness with child abuse’ is a massive turn-off on every possible level. Personally, I also find her Picasso-esque art another attraction killer, but I can be very opinionated about that, so the ‘child abuse’ thing should probably be your primary reason not to fuck her.
Charlotte Marnier
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The twin sister of Mozart, she's this low because she's really barely serving the circus peanuts as far as being clown themed goes, at least in the anime colors, but even if you only take her manga illustration for her hair, her outfit is really extremely plain and a big circular fro is really, really plain, though some small points can be granted for said ‘fro being multi-colored.
Fuckability: Average, she has a nice unique face amongst One Piece women with pretty lips. A good - though not great - choice if you’re shopping amongst the background characters. She also has nice legs if you value legs. But hey, she hasn't abused children or her siblings from what we know so this is a way better girl-liking pick than Giolla. And she's on the older side, being a twin with 37 year old Mozart after all. Spin that into a twin-fantasy if you like.
Now we slip into the area of both ‘barely a clown’ and ‘surprise clownly vibes’.
Franky
Tumblr media
Franky has the demeanor and ability to be a clown if he wanted to dress more for the part, if he wasn't dedicated to the mechanic grind. He loves bright colors and patterns but they're more tropical man wear than anything else - though Film Z did see him edge into proper clowncore territory during the sakura viewing party at the beginning. But it's the spirit that super counts here.
Fuckability: This is not a conventional man and thus he isn’t for conventional tastes, but anyone that’s into (literal) washboard abs, speedos, and massive amounts of Florida Man energy definitely knows that Franky is a man for those of taste (even if that taste is for a good ol’ burger, fries, and cola combo meal). Clownfuckers might not naturally fall into that market though.
Catarina Devon
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Look. Look I know it's not conventional at all, but every one of her outfits by pattern and especially color – recently especially in the anime and she's extremely clown-y. If she had bright hair and makeup on her face it wouldn't feel like a stretch, would it?
Fuckability: Higher than average. If her harsh facial features do not bother you (and why should they, she's like a sharper Usopp) than she's extremely tall with nice curves. On the other hand, she’s always down to murder anyone she thinks is prettier than herself (and collect their heads) and she was in the ‘only evilest motherfuckers allowed’ level of the highest security prison of the world for a very good reason. Also highly implied canon bisexual. But she hasn't abused children and has a nice voice in Japanese and English so. Judge for yourself.
Caesar Clown
Tumblr media
A very literal clown in name only, really, though his taste for patterned jumpsuits gives him a slight - and I mean 'razor thin' - edge in retaining some level of qualification here. Could probably use his powers to do balloon animals, but I wouldn’t trust him not to use poison gas in the process.
Fuckability: if you were down to fuck Orochimaru, you’d probably be down to fuck Caesar Clown, because you’ve already established your ability to love a paste-white man with long black hair, gold eyes, and purple lipstick with a penchant for experimenting on children.
Gecko Moriah
Tumblr media
Fuck you that’s not a clown. That’s not even a Juggalo with depression. That's a Tim Burton Halloween creature. He belongs next to the citizens of Halloween Town or in the Beetlejuice afterlife waiting room, not with clowns. He’s naturally that white people, it’s not face paint. Fuckability: there’s a small market, but I understand it even less than some of the other mystifying ones on this list. Maybe it’s a size difference thing or just Tim Burton fans doing their thing, I don't know.
Bonus: Straw Hat Theatre - Circus Time (not here for fuckability reasons but it's just cute)

my 3rd favorite game that i played in 2023 is...
Tumblr media
Freedom Planet 2
i was originally planning to wait on this one until the console version came out in "summer 2023." after it was delayed to the end of the year, i decided to grab the game on pc so i didn't have to wait… and i'm glad i did, because the console versions have been delayed a second time??
(i do not envy their situation and i hope the console versions are better for taking their time. honestly, i'll probably double dip anyway!)
the original Freedom Planet was a formative game experience for me during college. there was something inspiring about the way it shot for the moon – full voice acting, a fun cast of characters, a lived-in world with political intrigue, a focus on adding fast-paced combat – all trying to prove that it's more than just a Sonic fangame in new clothes.
and it worked. it gripped me and never let go! i must've replayed the story half a dozen times, speedran the levels dozens of times each. that's the reason i decided not to wait on the sequel any longer after the first console delay; i grabbed the game on pc and hit the ground running.
Tumblr media
one aspect of what makes Freedom Planet special is its level design, and the sequel delivers – every single level is massive, open-ended, and absolutely GORGEOUS. the unique gimmicks, secret collectibles, and speedrun strats are what encouraged me to endlessly replay the first game, and each of those categories has been expanded here into some of the beefiest and most explorable levels i've ever seen in a 2D platformer, hands down. i'm so glad the sequel took its time in the oven, the levels alone were worth the wait!
to me, though, what really makes Freedom Planet stand out from other Sonic-inspired games is its fast and fluid brawling. enemies in each stage take a few hits to defeat, and every stage ends with a grand, bombastic boss fight – you get a handful of moves to tackle these fights with, and each character has very different fighting playstyles! crucially, though, there is no contact damage, meaning you can run circles around enemies while whacking away at their health bars with momentum-based attacks.
it's an incredibly fun and well-thought-out combat system, and its complexity is right at that sweet spot where it feels deep but not overwhelming. honestly it reminds me a lot of kirby's combat, which is one of my favorite combat systems in any video game! (that RtDL remake very nearly made my Top 5 this year…)
Tumblr media
Freedom Planet 2 augments the combat system of the original in two ways. one is the addition of a spot-dodge, which feels so perfectly at home that i'm shocked it wasn't in the first game to begin with?? every game with combat benefits from the addition of a dodge, of course, but in this game especially it allows you to keep your momentum while attacking in a way that just feels so natural. there's nothing else quite like learning a boss's attack pattern enough to spot-dodge directly into a powerful counterattack!
but there's also nothing quite so discouraging as getting the boss's health down to a sliver… and biting the dust. here, too, is a place where the sequel shines: if you lose a life, you can choose to restart from a checkpoint with all your health recovered, or you can get back up on the spot with just 1 HP. the push and pull on this system is incredible – you risk getting a game over and having to redo the whole stage… but you could clutch out a victory at the last second! it has the capacity to turn near misses into huge successes, and it saved my ass countless times over the course of the adventure.
tying this all together is a great story that isn't quite as Big and Grand as the first game, but instead serves to deepen the connection between this loveable cast of characters by exploring their history and personalities in more detail. i'm still floored by the fact that these games have full voice acting – it truly makes the characters feel more alive, their personalities shine! the style of VA isn't everyone's cup of tea, i'm well aware… but as someone with fond memories of saturday morning cartoons, i find that it's very genuine and full of heart in a way that most films and AAA games don't really hit me. it's obvious that everyone involved had a ton of fun!
my one regret is that i haven't returned to the game since my first playthrough – i'd really like to replay those levels and see how fast i can clear them! and try out the other characters, and see what the arcade mode is like, and go for the achievements, and…

Hello, I love Hildred Castaigne! He’s such a fucked up unreliable narrator and he also reminds me so much of myself in middle school and I love him for it. What do you like about him?
First off, apologies for taking absolutely ages to answer this! Life happened and I promptly forgot tumblr existed for almost a month. Yay.
Anyhow, I think my love of Hildred is a combination of the factors you mentioned and the absolute state I got into shortly after I found The King in Yellow -- aaand here comes an essay. The last version of this got deleted, and apparently I've taken it upon myself to make its replacement even lengthier.
Hildred is a fascinating character to read and to write, and his opinions on things are (or would be) so different from mine that it's fun to try to puzzle them out. I keep a bevy of fictional characters that I can simulate reasonably well as a way to make myself consider how people get to opinions that differ from mine, and naturally he's among them.
Beyond that, I'm an absolute sucker for hints at a greater world, but only narrow viewpoints from which to try to figure out what's going on in that world.
The weird bits of The King in Yellow as a whole are superb at tantalizing you with smug allusions and tiny scraps of information about what, exactly, it is that the book is named for.
Is it a play? Is it an entity? What happened to the author? ...was the author Boris? (I don't think the author was Boris, but I won't lie that I've considered writing a fic where he was.)
I got hooked on Lovecraft for the same reason, and it's actually what put me on to Arthur Machen (favorite author) and The King in Yellow (favorite book).
Even with all that, I think my King in Yellow interest would have been a passing thing that returned occasionally, if it hadn't been the last thing I got into before my first set of high school final exams kicked my ass.
The tl;dr of freshman year is that I picked the wrong math class and it spent the semester wrecking my self-confidence (and my sleep schedule) before I finally managed to transfer to a better one. (Then I spent second semester picking myself back up.)
Hildred, notably, is self-confident to the point of it backfiring catastrophically on him. He absolutely should not have gloated to Louis, tactically speaking; in this essay I will-
Anyway. Stress is weird, so during finals season and its leadup I had quite a lot of unmarshalled energy that refused to work on what I actually needed it to do and that instead directed itself at my idle pokings at Hildred and his world.
Probably better than worrying about how my abysmal math grade was going to ruin my life.
It didn't, and I came out of the crucible with rather extensive additional worldbuilding. Since I essentially speedran getting invested in the project, I came away wanting to do more of it and... it just kind of stuck?
I mean, here we are several years later and my first impulse is still to name my tumblr blog for him. I've got a rough idea of his extended family back three generations. I have a design for that spring suit Hawberk had that was mentioned exactly once. I am the embodiment of
Tumblr media
when it comes to this lol
_____
I couldn't find a good place to fit this in above, but Hildred was also the first time I encountered a story with an obviously intentional unreliable narrator after I'd encountered the term. Not sure how I missed it that long, lol. I spent probably half a decade looking askance at various authors and going "...do you know what you're writing there???"
I also couldn't integrate it anywhere, but I absolutely adore "The Mask." I have Thoughts on Chambers's ability to write romance more generally, the short version being that he writes Lovers™ and not characters and they're thus so wooden they're hard to read, but that he must have been in a position like the beginning of "The Mask" because holy god that is exactly how it feels.

I am torn between asking Top 5 Songs and Top 5 Memories so can i ask both?
If it’s not too much? :3c
(If it’s too much I’ll pick one!)
Both is good! We'll start with songs in no particular order:
Equlibrium (Sophia's theme) One of my first favorites! I used to listen to it so much I still remember most of the lyrics by heart haha.
A Long Fall (Twinning theme) I mean, who doesn't love the party dungeon song?
Unbreakable (Fractal Continuum theme) and by extension, Order yet undeciphered (Azys Lla theme). I'm cheating and putting these out together since Unbreakable has Order yet undeciphered's leitmotif in it.
Neath Dark Waters (Amaurot overworld theme) I'm weak for that leitmotif and this one is my favorite one of the different versions.
Last one uhhhhhhh Close in the Distance. Very closely tied with Flow Together, but this was the song I liked so much that I speedran Ultima Thule fates in like two days so I could have the song playing in our house.
Then, top 5 memories. Hmm, this'll require some thinking because my memory is swiss cheese and things just fall out of there if I rattle my head around too much.
First one that comes to mind is our first run of Gubal. Our group (whm, drg and dnc) rolls in with sprouts on and all of us in cutscene. When we got out of cutscene it turned out that the tank was also finnish and declared that she "must protecc" us after asking if we were all first timers. She proceeded to be one of the best tanks I've had a plesure to heal, gave us helpful tips about mechanics and /doted all of us before leaving.
This is gonna sound a little funny but Moonfire Faire. We started playing during the 2019 one, and while we never made it to the event itself (too low level, rip), the memory of seeing the fireworks on Gridania (both on sky and a group of peeps spamming the items next to conjurer's guild haha) while doing our very first quests left a very deep mark on me. I still get really nostalgic every time the fireworks come back~
Figuring out how to do Omega unsynced with only 3 people (so we can farm by ourselves). Mostly blind, we only looked at guides after hitting mechanics we could not figure out. Up until like the last runs we kept forgetting the Omega F knockback (too focused on random chatter), or the exploding debuffs. The 10+ runs we had to do to figure out timing for tank invulns when M & F start dashing around. One of us leveling tank just for that fight (and turns out they like tanking now lol), one having to finish leveling pld bc gnb shooting themselves did not go too well when you have to have hp for the tankbusters after the invuln ends.
Endwalker boss fate farming. Sitting there for hours, getting progressively more tired and unhinged with couple hundred other people as we were so sure that yeah next hour Chi or Daivadipa would spawn. Surely next hour. It's already been 8h over the spawn timer cooldown it MUST spawn soon... right? Right??
Baby's first on launch alliance raid, Puppet's Bunker! I was so nervous haha, first time patch day alliance raid on healer? Scawwyyy. We died soooooo much lol but it was such a blast. People figuring out you could shoot eachother with the lasers, the constant "ohhhhh so that's what that does" in chat, the collective "what the fuck yoko taro?" during second phase of last boss. Now my absolute favorite content in this game is doing alliance raids right after patch so all 24 of us can be equally confused about stuff and just chill dead on the ground together.

Here's how my Blind RW Playthrough (Monk) Went.
Lost Child Syndrome (ofc)
I got stuck in one of the first rooms of the outside area of Outskirts for 4 failed cycles
somehow got into Drainage an hour in
died in drainage apparently following the speedrun route for around 30 deaths (4 hours)
gave up and went to Garbage Wastes
Pretty much Got Vulture Jumpscared after it flew away and I thought "oh cool I can leave n-WRONG"
Got to Shoreline and Looks to the Moon within the next 30 minutes
Visited Moon "Was I supposed to come here???"
Unknowingly got Guided into Shaded Citadel
spent an hour panicking over spiders, only died like 3-4 times
THE STARVING SAGA
NO ONE TOLD ME THE TINY BLUE ROCK THINGS WERE EDIBLE FOR THE ENTIRE GAME I THOUGHT THEY WERE JUST ROCKS.
went through memory crypts starving 3 times before they told me they were edible I just needed to sit in water with them
Made it into the exterior, died another 40 times in the Leg/Underhang, some to just bullshit, others to rain timer (grapple bug skill check)
pure adrenaline when I made it into Five Pebbles
DLL jumpscare
I forced myself to go through Unfortunate because it was like 5 dangerous screens and then pure and utter nothing until Five Pebbles
died 5 times on the second to final screen due to bad RNG on the DLL placements.
Pebbles told me to kill myself
met the echo cuz why not
passaged to the beginning of drainage systems after getting ganged up on by 5 white lizards (wtf)
speedran to Filtration Systems
slept in filtration twice, accidentally following the speedrun route
livestreamed Depths Exploration to a friend and..
conversed about Hatsune Miku slugcat (my Monk was Miku-colored)
I MET JERRY FUCK YEAH LOVE YA JERRY
"What if every time another you popped up it just disjointedly played Po-Pi-Po"

good omens s2 episode reactions: 6
i just finished good omens season 2.
you know how people say "screaming crying throwing up" jokingly? i'm literally at least one of those (screamed into a pillow) and kinda close to another (partly unrelated life reasons making me feel like crying but it counts)
it's not supposed to end like that!!!! crowley and aziraphale going their separate ways!! they kissed but not at all in the way most people imagined it would be!!!!
okay i will attempt to give a summary of my thoughts for the whole episode the way i have for the rest of the season. (see other posts: e1, e2, e3, e4, e5.)
shax is surprisingly good at hitting people with their deepest insecurities. it's a little inconsistent with other parts of her character, like not understanding sarcasm, but it works well for her being the main antagonist of this season. good on maggie for standing up to her!! bad on maggie for accidentally letting her into the bookshop.
it's a nice touch that aziraphale has battery-powered candles and lots of fire extinguishers to make sure the bookshop fire never happens again. also quite a reasonable justification for having multiple fire extinguishers for nina and maggie to use as weapons. lesbians fighting demons!
interesting revelations as crowley in heaven reads/experiences gabriel's file. i was confused at the time about why gabriel would say no to armageddon 2, but it makes sense after the beezlebub montage.
the gabriel/beezlebub shippers were right!?!!?! massive win for them. they really speedran aziraphale and crowley's whole arc, with making an agreement out of convenience, spending more time together enjoying human things, falling in love, realizing their own sides weren't as good as they seemed, ultimately running away together. the use of the song "every day" was sweet. it seemed kind of out-of-character for s1 gabriel and beezlebub but i suppose people change.
the "war" aziraphale started was over fairly quickly. bit anticlimactic.
the metatron was a plot twist. he seems very similar to aziraphale in a lot of ways. if aziraphale had had him as a mentor-figure from the beginning, things would have turned out very differently.
nina and maggie are so real for calling out crowley and aziraphale on meddling in their love life. they recognize how similar the two pairs are! probably a good choice that nina and maggie aren't going to immediately date since nina just got broken up with, but it's made clear that they care for each other and will probably date once nina is ready.
oh gosh we have to talk about the conversation between crowley and aziraphale. crowley has finally gotten up the courage to confess his feelings after six millennia!! only aziraphale is intending a completely different conversation about the metatron's offer. oh aziraphale can't you see why being an angel again and being your second in command isn't crowley's dream scenario??! it would mean crowley giving up his whole identity. when aziraphale was talking about how heaven is good and right, i could practically hear crowley thinking "you still believe that?!" it feels like aziraphale is taking a step backward. from his perspective though, it must sound like the perfect offer, and you can see how excited he is to tell crowley, and how devastated when crowley doesn't like it. and they revert back to their millennia-old dynamic of crowley wheedling aziraphale to go off and choose their own side, and aziraphale retreating to the safety of his moral high ground. bravo to david tennant and micheal sheen for their acting, but also they broke my heart.
the kiss. i'm screaming and internally sobbing. i had it spoiled for me that there was a kiss in this season (unfortunately, it's one of the first suggestions when you type good omens into youtube), but i wasn't expecting it like this.
bentley, now is not the time to play "a nightingale sang in berkley square."
to be clear, i'm not exactly mad at neil gaiman and the writers. they're obviously setting up a season 3 (which amazon better give them) and hopefully have a happy ending in mind for aziraphale and crowley. but that will take years and in the meantime i'm shaking with frustration!
i'm off to write a post-s2 fic maybe? or just unblock all the good omens spoiler tags and reblog a flood of posts. or cry.

What do you think would be cathal favorite video games?
I kinda see them playing chill games like stardew valley or animal crossing
HELLO ANON!! I'm finally getting to answering this!! For the second time, since my old response got deleted...
Spamtoon and I actually talked about what games the managers would like to play before!!! Though, it was more of a jokey convo, it got me thinking about Gamer Cathal and Of Course Half Of It Is Me Projecting But It Has Its Reasons
He WOULD definitely play games like that!! Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing, Minecraft, maybe even Tomodachi Life? All games with no end-goal, that you can play for a long, long time... You set your own goals or just chill around.
The way they would play MC is on peaceful mode only, but not because Cathal is afraid of fighting, but because it's just... Man. Too annoying. Energy consuming. Would rather chill and walk around the world and explore and build stuff.
Stardew does have it's own goals, but you can keep playing for a long time after those are achieved, and you can play however you want
Just games you can play for a long time at your own pace (haha) where you aren't rushed... Where you don't have much punishment maybe aside from Animal Crossing if you don't play it often. Something that's not a burden and can just be turned on while you turn your brain off and procrastinate on other things (Cause I for sure played a shit load of Stardew Valley during online school back in 2020-2021)
I also projected on them that they'd like certain old pet games, specifically Finfin and Petz. You don't do anything with them... You sit there and look after or literally just WATCH a little fictional creature!! Don't gotta do anything, and just chill... Speaking of Petz as someone who occasionally mods it I have PLANS
From Spam's convo we also jokingly said he "speed runs" random flash games - except he doesn't at all. He plays something for 5 minutes and days hang on I'll be right back and then he naps for 6 hours while the timer is still on and he submits it like that and since he's the only one to have speedran it he just automatically gets first place
But tbh a lot of flash games are kinda relaxing and just chill too, I think he'd enjoy those as well
He defo enjoys more games as long as they're not too physically exhausting with the controls and require TOO much interaction. They might just watch a gameplay video of those. He defo doesn't like just "relaxing" games but liking to watch something is different from playing it yourself
I could go into more detail with how he'd play some of these games since these are games I've played myself so I know them - but I rambled on for long enough now - but feel free to send more asks because at least at the moment there's nothing for me to do and this helped me pass the time a bit LOL. Love talking about the silly.... Cathal :]

Return to Yharnam!!
It's Bloodborne Season, baby!
Here's my day one progress- didn't play long, only a couple hours.
Named my character SnowMutt, decided to go for an Arcane build! Started with Noble Scion for the Arcane.
Arcane builds are most rewarding on a fresh file because bosses still have weaknesses- type advantages become less effective in NG+. Unfortunately the game doesn't really cater to a dedicated Arcane build early-game.
I won't get my first "spell" until the Abandoned Workshop, I won't get my second "spell" until the Forbidden Woods, I won't get my first DAMAGING "spell" until the Lecture Building, and I won't get my first GOOD damaging "spell" until Castle Cainhurst. Eesh.
A lot of the early-game is going to rely on Molotovs for damage, which DO scale with your Arcane. Thankfully, I know where all the good shit is, so I can also pick up an early Flamesprayer (plus Bone Marrow Ash to make it insane), grab a Fire gem that will allow one of my weapons to scale with Arcane, and I can get bagged and taken to the Unseen Village to grab a Tonitrus- all before even getting to the Abandoned Workshop! These will all carry me quite a bit through a lot of the game.
Let's go to Yharnam!
Died to the clinic Scourgebeast! Been too long I guess, lol. Picked up Threaded Cane and Pistol. Back to the clinic for round two! EZ win with a weapon, lol.
Speedran my ass to Cleric Beast to grab the Insight so I could start leveling, opening shortcuts and collecting useful stuff like Molotovs and Blood Stone Shards along the way, basically ignored everything else. Died a couple times as I started getting used to dodging again, took 'em down on the third try!
Bought some Molotovs, leveled up strength to 12 so I can equip Tonitrus later.
Went through the sewers after, picked up everything, met with Eileen- decided to replace Threaded Cane with Saw Spear, which has a much more reliable transform attack combo, meaning it does a LOT of damage, and builds a lot of Beasthood fast.
CRUSHED Gascoigne first try, gg ez. He was useful for relearning parry timing- also he TF'd late and died to a couple of my Arcane-boosted Molotovs before he could really do anything.
Cathedral Ward unlock! I always go down the side path first to grab those extra Bloodstone Shards and the Monocular, then made my way down to Old Yharnam- but not before picking up some Fire Paper from Alfred! Speedran to Djura, popped him a few times with the pistol to knock him off, exit game, continue, grab the Powderkeg Hunter Badge, you know the drill. Went through the church, hunted everything, opened the shortcut and got the Saw Spear Hunter to fall off the ladder first try. Free Bone Marrow Ash! It was about this point I realized I forgot to grab the Flamesprayer from Gilbert back at the Central Yharnam lamp, so I went back and did that after running down to Blood-Starved and opening up the shortcut. Decided to run back and spend my echoes before trying to tackle it- Blood-Starved is always a bit of a wall for me.
Actual fight went by pretty easily, but only because I cheesed it. Pungent Blood Cocktails in the corner, TF attack spammed it with Saw Spear, Fire Paper, and Beast Blood Pellet. Even with 9 skill, it went down pretty fast.
Went back and grabbed that Flamesprayer, then went and got myself killed by a Kidnapper to access The Unseen Village. Forgot to grab some Church clothes first for Adella, but I'll come back for her later- she's going to the clinic anyway. Pmuch everyone but Arianna and the granny get sent to the clinic so I can farm them for Insight and Numbing Mist. Arianna's gotta stick around for end-game, and granny's gonna gimme a bunch of free Sedatives later!
Cleaned out what's accessible of the Unseen Village- picked up Tonitrus and all the shards and armor and loot. I'll come back for Paarl later.
Aaand that's it for now!
Most of my echoes have been going into building up a stock of Molotovs and leveling. I've got my Str high enough to use Tonitrus, Arcane up to 25, and everything else is untouched for now. Saw Spear, Tonitrus, and Flamesprayer are all at +3!
Tomorrow morning, I'm planning on meeting up with Fake Iosefka, grabbing some Church gear, and collecting Adella and the granny. After that, I'm heading up the Cathedral Ward elevator to grab the Radiant Sword Hunter Badge, working my way through the alley so I can get that Fire blood gem for my Saw Spear which will be my primary PVE weapon for a while since Tonitrus has VERY low durability- at least vs Beasts and boss adds (serrated damage + fire is ideal for Beasts)- and then open up all the gates so I can meet with Eileen outside Cathedral Ward and go rek Henryk with her. Poison Daggers will be doing most of the work tbh. I'll probably try to tackle Hemwick Charnel Lane before Amelia so I can spend a little time farming Bone Marrow Ash, which will be very useful for my Flamesprayer, and should make Paarl a joke.
Basically gonna try to get as many bosses and other side content done as possible before Amelia.
I MIIIIIGHT just use the CUMMMFPK chalice dungeon to farm echoes for items (not leveling) so I can focus on just playing the rest of the game and spend more time doing co-op with other players.
I missed Bloodborne. <3

hiiiii @burningcrab hi thanks for the tag, i am still awake so why not
i got tagged to do a thing: "recommend 3 of your fics: your most popular and 2 hidden gems"
i am down for shameless plugging :)
most popular: don't forget them when they're gone, to this day my longest fic (almost beaten by my garages exchange fic, but since they're about 100 words apart i think both of them can share the title of longest fic.) anyway, it's about short circuits, but it's also about beta blaseball players discovering the events that took place during gamma 1 and watching the events of gamma 2. let's just say finding out 14 guys exploded at the end of gamma 1 hits a little too close to home for one of those players. but really all three of the main characters are kinda going through it and they talk about their feelings and stuff. also i got attached to barry burkhard while writing it. he's just a guy. i love him. (also also flattery says fuck. this is a selling point.)
idk what exactly qualifies hidden gems but i'll post two more that weren't in my top three (i only have 12 works published so i don't have a lot to work with here)
-hold on, you'll live to play again is about the end of season 20 (you know, that season we thought max and ivy were gonna explode and then they didn't? yeah. except there was a small chance the steaks and tacos would play in the postseason and we had to worry about ivy and nan exploding for a hot second...but then they didn't.) anyway yeah i know it's technically not finished. it's a two-chapter fic but the first chapter works as a standalone story just fine. i know what's gonna happen in the second chapter, i just...haven't written it yet. my brain said "no more words" after i speedran the first chapter right after the garages fic exchange. life is pain, etc. anyway i'm still pretty happy with the first chapter and i will write the second chapter eventually, i promise.
-snippets from the immaterial plane is a collection of short free verse poems that i think best represents the larger splorts poetry series i've been writing. it's a bunch of poems about the expansion era. also it is the first work to include lil pitchy. i mention this only because i love lil pitchy. personal favorites from this set of poems includes on knives and how to use them, salmon, skipping, and save situation.
i gotta tag three people. as for tags, i'm always bad at them but i'll tag... @quantumducky @thehallstara @theshelledonespods hiiiiii

So I finished Golden Wind
Before anyone says it: Yes, that was fast. But I can explain!! I speedran this part bc 1. It really did grip me and I HAD to keep going, and 2. It was the only one I needed a VPN for, and I didn't wanna risk anything in 2023 given Netflix is gonna crack down on password sharers and I didn't wanna find out if VPN usage triggered it
Just like with Stardust Crusaders and Diamond is Unbreakable, I think I'm gonna write my first impressions on this part here too. I'll see if anything changes in the future too since I do plan on watching these again w a friend
Also also, once again: this is my Twitter thread for my JJBA liveblog, of which Golden Wind starts here, just in case you want to see how this was in real time
That said, let's go lads. Obviously spoilers ahead even tho I've never really warned for this
Tumblr media
What I liked
Bruno
Tumblr media
Like, I wanna say "Just kidding! The characters" but no, Bruno. Bruno was the main reason why I fell in love with this part and I am not going to even pretend it wasn't. His character was absolutely fantastic--a combination of ruthless and violent with the loving heart and kindness to feel realistic when you know that he is just the light surrounding everyone he can touch trapped in his own darkness he put himself in. Bruno's truly the heart of his group AND the actual protagonist and you know it, and though it's only through Giorno that he gets to push out of that darkness, it's because of HIM that everyone else even does anything
I cannot state just how much I loved watching him, and how hard I cried when he died, and how much it hurt me to watch him desperately continue to cling to life even when his body gave out. How much it fucked me up to see how everyone loved him and how much he loved everyone. Bruno was ready to lay his life down for his little family because he KNEW they'd have his back, and they did the same for him. Hell, even Mista jumped out of a FUCKING SEVENTH FLOOR WINDOW to keep him safe. Bruno is one of the best characters I've seen in this series, period. I am legitimately in awe. I think he is probably my favourite character, slightly above Caesar (I know, what blasphemy is this right)
Anyways, back to Mista nearly killing himself for Bruno. Which does take me to actually talking about the others!!
Tumblr media
You know how much I've praised the relationships between the characters in previous parts? Golden Wind is the epitome of that, but I do feel like it cheated a bit to get there. Bucci gang already knew each other for YEARS, which does explain just why they got along together so perfectly, but I think that was a decision that was worth making. Everyone played off one another fantastically and they showed just how close together they were in really believable ways. You really did get the sense that these people hit rock bottom and only after finding each other (and Bruno) did they get to feel alive once again
They all cared for one another. Even Trish, when she became part of their team. And you truly do get the sense that Bruno was behind THAT change of heart--how his desire to protect her transfered to all, because if Bruno believes in something, then it is obviously just worth believing in
I loved all the protagonists a lot. Their closeness absolutely made the big emotional moments hit HARD
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Giorno was also a fun character to watch. I like how idealistic and determined he is (courtesy of Jonathan) and how ruthless and calculating he is (courtesy of Dio). I have other opinions I will save for my second section, but I did like what he brought to the table. I think Gold Experience was a fun Stand but it did feel a bit like... malleable? In the bad sense. I'll save that for later
I do like how his two halves of his personality collide though. He is never too sweet, and he is never too ruthless--until Diavolo but listen, Diavolo kind of deserved that for what he did to everyone. But yeah, Giorno's not my favourite Jojo (that's still Joseph despite it all) nor did I enjoy him as much as I did others like Josuke or Jotaro, but I think he performed his duties as a protagonist well, and he shines brightest when you think of him as unlocking the potential of those around him rather than leading the fight at all
Giorno's okay. He's not great nor is he bad, he's just okay. His role as a character is serviceable and I liked his power painting him as kindhearted above it all
Tumblr media
The last thing I want to touch upon is I liked the tone and pacing tbh. It really does feel like GW is the culmination of all of Araki's victories and mistakes, getting the best out of everything and making something entirely new. Still with some fuckups here and there of course, but I think what's going on here is pretty good. I did get a feeling that Golden Wind was a bit like Battle Tendency in the way it presented the plot being an actual fixed thing whose twists still made sense. "Overthrow the boss -> hand over his daughter Trish -> protect Trish" makes sense because each point builds on the last, and the main goal is never lost, only expanded upon
It really does feel like a far cry from Stardust Crusaders lmfao
Anyways...
What I didn't like
I mostly feel like because Araki's writing is so tight in this Part, it makes a lot of his stupid "because I said so" decisions stand out the worst. And I do think that both Abbacchio and Narancia's deaths felt like that, even though they also both made sense in context
Abbacchio's was like... so why did you leave him alone in the first place? You know you're in danger, and yeah sure Narancia and Bruno are chasing a possible assassin, but I don't get why you'd leave the man who cannot defend himself with his Stand while the Stand is in use ALONE when you have previously been attacked by multiple Stand Users in the past. For a gang of experienced fighters it definitely felt sloppy
In the end though I can accept Abbacchio's death because he was dangerous for Diavolo, sure, but the circumstances behind why he died are still super idiotic to me and stand out amidst a season that was so full of tight writing choices
Narancia also was kind of sloppy? Again, "kill Narancia since his Aerosmith could track Diavolo" was a good reasoning, and once you know what's going on "sike Diavolo is possessing Trish anway so this is more of a distraction" is better, but. I feel like Araki got sloppy because of This:
Tumblr media
It's okay to do this, hell that's what happened to Caesar, but damn I thought we'd left obvious death flagging behind. The main reason it worked for Bruno is he came back and repossessed himself, ergo feeling more like a subversion
Anyways those are most of my complaints on the deaths. It was tight anyway, these are just minor "Hmm :/" moments I had
Tumblr media
Another thing I didn't quite like were the villains? They felt a little forgettable save for a few others, but I felt like there wasn't a lot of focus on Risotto's team for me to truly give a fuck, and then Diavolo's henchmen felt a bit thrown in. I can't put my finger on it but I didn't really care much, and when you have such a strong team of protagonists, a sloppy team of antagonists feels a bit boring
Speaking of antagonists... Diavolo. Oh lord Diavolo
Tumblr media
Two personalities feeling cheap aside, I didn't really mind Diavolo and Doppio all that much. They were fun to watch. The problem lies in King Crimson, and the fact that he just... felt like Great Value Dio
I am so goddamn sick and tired of time-based villains. First Dio has The World, which fucked severely, but then Kira out of nowhere develops an ability to loop time, and THEN Diavolo can essentially stop time again. It got so egregious I joked about Polnareff having war flashbacks about Dio and how "we're suddenly at the top of the stairs" felt like the Opposite of Pol's experience with Dio. What the fuck separates Diavolo from Dio, here? The fact that he can see the future?
Then why wasn't that his fucking ability
Why did he need to also STOP time? Why did he need to literally be able to do literally the same as Dio? Now that I think about King Crimson his ability does sort of make sense--it's essentially foresight with being able to move quickly within the time he sees--but then why was it STILL time based? Why not just foresight? Jesus Christ
Also on that note, the Requiem Stands. Requiem Chariot is fine, it was even a fun puzzle to solve. Golden Experience Requiem though? What the fuck was that. What ARE his abilities? I feel like I just witnessed an ass-pull in real time. That and the fact that it felt too close to Jotaro suddenly also being able to stop time at the end of SC was like... eugh. Araki write LITERALLY any other final fight challenge
Tumblr media
Aside from that... Giorno's something I disliked too, sorry. He was Dio's son!! Ok. What does that imply. It just comes up once and then gets forgotten about. What did Dio want, letting a woman and her child escape him like that? GW doesn't seem interested at all in answering any of that. I feel like his connection to Dio was severely underutilized, even moreso his connection to the Joestars. I dunno. I like what I got from GW but I wanted more on this
Eh. Also, the violence wasn't it for me. I don't think it makes it BAD and it makes sense because they're the mafia, but personally speaking? Too much
Oh and the fashion was too fucking weird
Also actually... Rolling Stone was uh. I liked that little story and its implications, but it. Definitely felt very out there. I'm not quite sure I like it right now, but maybe my thoughts will change
Final Thoughts
Part 5 is great! I liked it a whole lot, and despite my negative thoughts on it I still think this is one of the best parts there is. I quite enjoyed my time with it, and I loved what it did, and even though sure this is the part that gets a bit too ridiculous with Stands, fashion, and etc, it's still encompassed by a lovely story of love, justice, and companionship
I don't have much else to say beyond what I already said here. I am going to take a HUGE break before I move on to Stone Ocean, but I am quite excited to do so. I was most excited to get to Golden Wind out of everything thus far and I can safely say that my expectations were very much met, and I'm satisfied with what I got out of this
Tumblr media
Arrivederci and see you next time for Stone Ocean!!

okay im just gonna type some shit for the moment or whatever but elise mf origin post because it's super funny to me
long rambly post with a bunch of card game images
anyway way back in like 2020 and early 2021 Legends of Runeterra had its Lab of Legends mode. Similar to Path of Champions but like, way more basic since it was the earlier version. You pick a champ and fight through a series of 9? stages or so, theyre all the same each time, with the bosses being Thresh, Sejuani (FUCK Scargrounds stage) and Viktor (and FUCK Guard Bots stage too). Each first clear with a champ would grant you a unique player icon for them, but I wasn't super concerned with collecting them all, I really just wanted Miss Fortune. The problem was that her starting deck is kind of Not Great and it's especially easy to get reamed by bad rng and her ability is straight up a hindrance against Scargrounds. I was having so much trouble with MF runs it was unreal. My friend cleared it relatively quickly, but I could not for the life of me get a good run going. I struggled with it on and off for WEEKS. I was just resigned to never clearing it.
So one fateful day in February of 2021 I am going through yet another MF lab run and get offered a choice between Zoe, Elise and Jinx as my deck's support champs. Fuck it, I'm thinking, just take Elise for laughs, who gives a shit anymore.
Tumblr media
While I'm playing I'm shitposting on discord with a friend and making jokes about the whole thing, and we all know what happens when you make jokes. Didn't win that run but within a day it did get the gears in ye olde brain turning.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(i've now had this sitting in drafts for a month btw LOL i forgor)
The next month I'm starting up yet another run, and at this point I'm so demoralized by my bad luck with this I'm just like, yeah okay whatever Elise again, I'm just gonna lose at Scargrounds again like always
Tumblr media
So I'm just going through the motions with this run and being more excited about the loot I'm getting of the Empires of the Ascended event. Somehow got quite lucky through Scars and Sejuani because the ai wasn't pulling followers to play.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like I really cannot stress how lackluster the rng through this run was, I was genuinely surprised I got through Sejuani lmao
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I guess purely to spite me, this run makes it past Foundry and Guard Bots and gets to Viktor. It's.... dicey. Elise's spiders give me more fodder to keep the nexus safe but between Elise's support cards and Sarah's starting deck, I don't really have any big hitters if Viktor starts to beef up, and I was never able to pick up anything from round rewards.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Ruination I picked up comes in an early draw and comes in handy, clearing the board. I'm in the damn trenches clutching my spiders and fighting for my life. Another Viktor comes out, I draw a second Ruination and pop it. Viktor plays a Nyandroid.
He doesn't seem to have anything else to play. With both Sarah and Elise leading the charge, I attack.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Finally, finally, after so many attempts, I was FREE. Love fucking wins. Sarah's Love Tap took out the 5/1 bot that would have killed Elise during the Guard Bots stage. These champs speedran enemies to lovers through a month of me suffering through to get my first clear. I was utterly bewildered.
So anyway thats the story of how Elise/Miss Fortune was kind of a joke and then not a joke and I have given very serious consideration as to how they could encounter one another and how that would go.
Elise Does make trips to Bilgewater btw, thanks Ruined King!

hide and seek
<omega!tsukishima x top!m reader>
author's notes: i jacked off, did some algebra, and then speedran this in three hours or something. i have two exams to prepare for. what am i doing
cw: noncon, a/b/o dynamics, locker room, semi-public, breeding, creampie, knotting, humiliation, light bondage, plugging, virginity loss, degradation, biting, mentions of blackmail at the end
He tried so hard to hide it. Took on this superior, know-it-all sporty persona and limited how many people he really talked to, but you could tell the moment you laid eyes on him. Even despite how he acted, you could tell he wasn't anything like the proud beta he claimed to be.
Maybe that's why you wanted him. You don't usually care, you're popular enough that you could have any omega you wanted, but the fact that he bothered hiding it made him desirable. That's why you corner him in the locker room one day, slamming him against the metal and kissing him before he knew what was happening, and by the time he realized you were already ripping away his shorts and boxers.
"Y/N-!" He grunts, struggling against you as you grab his small cock, tugging on it ruthlessly as he fights back a groan. "W-what are you-"
"You really thought you could hide it from me, didn't you? Tsukishima-chan," You growl, twisting your hand and making him cry out. "You're not as clever as you think, omega."
His face pales, anger and confusion getting replaced by fear in a split second. "I don't know what you're talking a-ah!" He tries to play it off, but you press a finger against his hole and he gasps, back arching. He's tight, as expected of a virgin, but he's already wet - no surprise, given how roughly you're handling him, and your pheromones that no doubt must be working against whatever suppressors he'd been using. You laugh, and press a little harder, and that little bit of pressure is all it takes for your finger to breech him. His walls clamp down on your digit, practically sucking you in, and if that wasn't just more evidence to the secret, slutty omega that he was, you didn't know what was.
The hands clawing at your shoulders aren't so much there to push you away anymore, as they are to help keep him propped up as his legs threaten to give away, leaning against the lockers with eyes closed and filthy sounds escaping his mouth. You lift up one of his thighs to give yourself more access, and thrust into him with two fingers, scissoring slowly so he can feel every inch of the stretch, can hear his own slick squelching with every slow push. Two fingers wouldn't be nearly enough to prep him, but you always liked it tight. As you press up against his prostate, his back arches, and he moans wantonly into the thankfully empty locker room.
His eyes shoot open when he hears his own whorish voice echoed back at him, and he slaps a hand over his mouth. Just as quickly, you grab his wrist and wrench it away, claiming his mouth in a rough kiss and biting his lip bloody, licking the metallic taste off of his tongue.
"Don't hold back, Tsukishima-chan," You croon as you pull away, a string of saliva still connecting to his mouth, as he blinks dumbly. "You should show off how much of a slutty omega you are. It's the least you can do after lying to everyone, isn't it?"
"M'not an omega." he insists, voice trembling.
You roll your eyes. "Yeah, right. And this little pussy isn't aching to get bred." You punctuate that sentence with a sharp press, digging into his prostate, and he actually squeals, knocking his head against the metal as you rub relentlessly at that little bundle of nerves, his tiny cock sticking straight up and leaking. You laugh, and pull your hand out in one sharp movement, before grabbing the hem of his t-shirt and dragging it up over his head, wrapping it around his wrists to keep them tied behind his back.
You turn him over, pressing his bare chest and face against the cool metal and making him yelp, gripping him by the bindings around his wrists. They're not very tight, and he could break free if he tried, but he's surprisingly pliant to your touch, and his back is flushed so prettily. His legs are weak, so you have to help prop him up with one hand on his hip.
"Still think you're not an omega?" You whisper right in his ear as you pull out your cock and line it up against his slick hole. You don't bother giving him time to reply as you force yourself in, with one powerful push. It's not easy, because you definitely didn't prepare him enough, and it's tight enough to almost hurt. But the sight of his face, his mouth dropping open in a gasp, tensing up and then going limp with pain even as his dick stayed erect, was enough to have you setting a ruthless pace. Each deep thrust slams against his prostate, rattling the metal lockers, making his eyes roll up; he couldn't even moan, and judging by the way his breathing was stuttered and erratic, you could guess that you were basically fucking the breath out of him.
"Nn-no-sto-" He manages, and you laugh and reposition your grip on his hips, driving deeper. "Hurts-"
"Don't lie to me," You snap, landing a sharp slap against his ass, and he cries out. "Look at you. You're taking me so perfectly, your tight hole is practically begging to get bred. It's practically milking me." His pale skin somehow gets even redder with your words. "You should thank me for breeding your dirty pussy. Go on, say 'thank you'."
He sinks his teeth in his bottom lip in resolute refusal. What a stubborn brat. With a growl, you land another slap against his other cheek, turning it bright red, and his shoulders actually shake with a sob, though you can feel his ass tighten up at the same time. "Well? Tsuki-chan? I can't hear you. I won't let you cum until you do." To make your point, you reach around and pinch the base of his cock, still dripping pathetically against his stomach. "Say 'Y/N-senpai, thank you for breeding my dirty pussy.' If you're so smart, you should be able to say that, shouldn't you?"
He's tearing up behind his glasses, struggling to focus on you. "Puh-please," He stammers, "I-I won't tell anyone, just-"
You click your tongue. "That's not what I told you to say," You tut, and you pull out, sitting down heavily on the bench. You drag Tsukishima down with you, positioning him so he's facing you, cupping his cheeks, and holding him over your waiting cock. "Did I already fuck the brains out of you? Last chance before I tie you up and leave you here for everyone else to find. I don't waste time with disobedient omegas like you."
He shakes in your grip, and you can tell he's having a hard time deciding what to do. Between knowing that he shouldn't be wanting this, that this should be his nightmare scenario, and the fact that he was finally allowing his omega side be satisfied for once, all those brilliant cogs in his head was burning out in a thick haze of arousal. His hips twitch downwards, his body betraying him, and tears finally spill out of his eyes.
"Th-thank you, Y/N-s-senpai," He stutters out. "For b-breeding my dirty pussy."
You smirk, and drag him down. From this position, you're able to fuck him deeper than ever, and his head shoots back in a wail as you bottom out. "That's a good boy." You wrap your arms around his waist and fuck up into him, pulling him down at the same time. His legs lock around your own waist, pulling him closer to you, and he's moaning without restraint now, fully given in to instincts and the sensation of being fucked. From this angle, you can bite marks into his collarbone and chest, and pull his nipples between your teeth, making him moan louder, drool spilling out the corner of his mouth.
When you finally cum inside him, it's enough to send him over the edge too, the sensation of hot seed filling him enough to his cock spurt over his bare stomach. He practically passes out against your chest, face nestled against your shoulder as you pull the t-shirt off of his arms, using it to wipe up the mess he left on his abdomen.
You lay him out on his back on the bench, spreading his legs apart to show off his hole, flushed and almost leaking your cum onto the wood. You chuckle, whipping out your phone to snap a few pictures of the pretty sight, before pulling a silver plug from your pocket and shoving it into his hole. You're tempted to leave him here like this, for all his teammates to find, but the whole point of blackmail was ensuring that you had all the cards to yourself first. You settle for grabbing a spare pair of shorts from your duffle and sliding them on him, before draping the soiled t-shirt over his torso.
You reach up and swipe a thumb at the corner of his eyes, beneath his glasses, clearing away the tears before you go.

alright besties I have speedran the shadows amidst snowstorms event today and I have some thoughts.
Keep reading because event spoilers obviously.
I think we all know that the last cutscene was very sus.
The thing is, I don't believe that the real Albedo could remove the mark from his neck. Coupled with the sussy dialogue, I'm 99.9% sure that the one we spoke with wasn't the real Albedo.
Which leaves us two possibilities:
I saw someone saying that this has to mean that the impostor Albedo has won. That he succeeded in taking over Albedo's life and is now basically a ticking time bomb.
However, I do not think that is the case. When playing, at first I thought of a different possibility.
There's two of them now.
Let me explain. The cutscene at the end of act two ends with the real Albedo going off into the mountain with his sword drawn, presumably to confront impostor Albedo. However, he talks about sympathizing with him.
Then, during his story, he says: "In all the world, only the gardener who tended to them could tell which was the good specimen," implying that the traveller is the only one who can tell the two apart, and that impostor!Albedo wanted to dispose of them.
I believe this story is what would have happened, had Albedo not confronted impostor Albedo.
After this comes the sunsettia dialogue my beloathed.
Later, during the final dialogue back in Mondstadt, the (presumably) fake Albedo says: "I don't think being a gardener is so bad," after calling into question the traveller's ability to tell them apart with the 'prank'
If this is fake Albedo, it could be him telling us: "I am not a threat. I no longer want to kill you"
Paimon: "Of course it bothers Paimon! They are the rarest super-duper sweet sunsettias ever. And they're not for you!"
Albedo: "Okay. But they're just sunsettias. I think you're only so attached to them because you don't have much fruit of this quality in your possession. When someone's pockets are full and their spirit is fulfilled, they don't easily fall prey to this kind of yearning."
This is then called out in the traveller's thoughts with a: "...I see, that makes a lot of sense." implying it's somehow important.
Now, listen to me for a second. What if we take the sunsettias in this as a metaphor for friends, for human contact? If this is impostor Albedo saying this to us, what is it actually? A lesson learned, perhaps?
I fully believe that instead of taking out the impostor, they found an understanding with Albedo and there's now two of them permanently. Albedo has a lot of things to do, they can share. They are brothers your honour.
Is this just wishful thinking? Probably. But consider...

Why Chloe, Lila, and Zoe are Being Wasted
As of the most recent episode, Gabriel Agreste, it has become clear that some characters are being underutilized. While this is true for a lot of characters, these three are the most obvious ones.
In the first three seasons, Chloe was promising. She started out the class bully, causing most of the akumas. Then we got to see why she was so mean to everyone. We saw her starting to get better by apologizing to Ms. Bustier, giving her a birthday gift all on her own, and admitting her vulnerabilities to Ladybug. We saw her be trusted enough to become Queen Bee more than once. Imagine how awesome it would have been to have her still be feisty, but pointed only at those who deserve it like Hawk Moth or Lila while being on friendly-ish terms with Marinette and the class.
Instead, her development is squandered and she's put back to square one. Heck, since she's behaving even worse than before, that would be square zero. What was the point of that when we had a new class bully in Lila?
Lila's addition to the class was played up as the first big change to the show's status quo next to Marinette meeting Master Fu. You would think starting in the second season, we would see Lila in class with everyone else and interacting with them, right? Wrong. She's hidden away in her house until the second season finale where they finally bring her out again to create the big illusion for Scarlet Moth, with the only reference to her before that being in Sapotis when Rena Rouge mentions looking like her akumatized form.
Lila would finally return to class in season three, where she would play the role she was promised in season two, and do things like cause Oni-Chan and get Marinette expelled. You would think after that, she would play a major role in the season finale, right? Like as, I don't know, Miracle Queen instead of Chloe for example? Wrong. Chloe is Miracle Queen because TA refused to see her redemption through completion and made her worse than she was in season one.
Where does that leave Lila? Because Chloe is once again the class bully, Lila has no purpose and is shoved in the closet. AGAIN, just like in season two.
This is especially painful because as shown in Gabriel Agreste, it would have made much more sense for Lila to be the one trying to get Adrien isolated back in his house instead of Chloe, who back in season two was upset when Gabriel pulled him out of school and was implied to have helped pull strings to get Adrien enrolled at Dupont in the first place. The pointlessness of Chloe being the bully again is further emphasized by how in Queen Banana, the episode right before Gabriel Agreste, she pointlessly called off their friendship only to go back to wanting to hog his attention in the next episode.
All that is without getting into the pointlessness of Zoe.
Zoe is written pretty badly. She basically speedran through Chloe's redemption arc in one episode when it took Chloe two seasons. Her existence is only made worse by the fact that Chloe is the only one that got replaced on the Miraculous team, and no one in the show has called out the hypocrisy of this when half the team has had their identities revealed.
If you eliminate Queen Banana from the episode roster, and put Queen Bee in Vesperia's place for her future appearances in Mega Leech and Ephemeral, literally nothing would change. That's how pointless Zoe coming in to be Vesperia is.
It might sound like I'm being harsh, but I do love Miraculous and just want it to live up to its potential.
