one of the most infuriating things i’ve realized about fandom spaces lately to me has been some people’s inability to just trust a story and engage with its premise and what it’s trying to express. “canon sucks i can do it better lol!!!” is one of the most annoying attitudes to me and i do kinda hate how prevalent it’s gotten (in actually good polished media that isn’t to be engaged with like that)
like between people who read things in as bad a faith as possible and ceaselessly criticize things they supposedly like, and people who only care about media for the sake of making cookie cutter self-indulgent fandom content, it feels sometimes like the most controversial thing you can do in a fandom is “actually liking the source material for what it is”

breaking my silence i think how poopy got his poop back is a really nice episode it’s just that people went into it expecting a more season premiere-ish episode but it’s a lot more laid back compared to what that is for a lot of people. to be honest i think it’s a great episode for a premiere. it’s a nice cozy fun way of being like “ok so this is where everything’s at, this is what’s going on, this is the state of things” yknow

okay but like it means so much to me that marco genuinely had so much faith and admiration for jean, long before jean really did anything to clearly merit it. like when marco knew jean, jean was still kinda a sheltered brat, but marco saw through the bravado and recognised how much goodness there was and how much potential for leadership he had, and he loved him for it. and like, not only did marco express this to jean (so like maybe one could think that he was just exaggerating or trying to build jean up), but he tells eren about how highly he thinks of jean. like marco was out here being jean's cheerleader to possibly the least receptive person in the 104th with a smile on his face. and that's another thing!! jean makes marco smile!! the thought of jean makes marco smile like a maniac and i just-

Commission for @purpleturtle9000!
I had a lot of fun making this piece, and I like the outcome a lot! I'm not used to drawing movie designs but 2018 Bee is one of my favorites <3

Addendum to last question is there a particular reason you prefer to watch shows rather than, for example, long ass video essays on youtube instead? ( this ask sounds like im trying to get you to do the latter but i genuinely just wanna know. To glance into your beautiful mind if you will)
i do watch long ass youtube video essays too. its just harder to find a consistent stream of ones made by creators i enjoy or even tolerate because i am even more picky about youtubers than i am about most things, which is really saying something.
anyway if any long youtube video enjoyers havent seen this one yet they should watch it

Martha Jones - Jesus Christ parallels (never thought i'd write a sentence like this)
there's the other one who has sent me
For I did not speak on my own, but the Father who sent me commanded me to say all that I have spoken. I know that his command leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say. (John 12:49-50)
Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life. (John 5:24)
I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me. (John 5:30b)
I have much to say in judgment of you. But he who sent me is trustworthy, and what I have heard from him I tell the world. They did not understand that he was telling them about his Father. So Jesus said, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he and that I do nothing on my own but speak just what the Father has taught me. The one who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what pleases him. (John 8:26-29)
[...] for I have come here from God. I have not come on my own; God sent me. (John 8:42b)
etc., and so on...
