For the ask game how about more Pau’an headcanons? They’re the best
Thank you, that means a lot to me! I think the last couple I shared were these, which were all reproduction related, so I'll take a different approach this time. We haven't given our sinkhole dwellers much love, so let's go there.
Much like in Coruscant, the closer to the surface you are, the higher class you are. Merchant and administrative classes are going to spend most of their time on the higher levels, miners and agricultural workers on lower levels. Some major industries are going to be Kyber Crystal mining and Mushroom Farming. Although Pau'an themselves don't consume mushrooms for sustenance, they feed them to livestock or use them to manufacture pharmaceudicals.
I love their archetecture as depicted in ROTS, in that they are still using giant bones and such to build their cities. So they still haven't entirely shirked off some of their ways from living on the surface. They also use bone and wood in much of their furniture and flatware. If you look at the armor on guards and Dactilion riders, there's a leaf motif in the metal on their helmets (although I also HC surface Pau'an don't have much access to mettalurgy and use bone for both weapons and helmets).
Let's talk fashion - I believe I've said this before but it was a long time ago, animals with night vision have lots of rods for light reception in their eyes but it leaves very little room for cones to perceive color. So, red is likely the only color they can actually perceive. They wear lots of red as it makes them more attractive to potential mates, and they also wear heels and high collars and vertical stripes, whatever will make them look taller. They've been pushing the limits of their physical height, and can be much taller than surface Pau'an, but as a result they are less mobile, and later in life often require corsets, braces, canes, and other forms of support.
Also, I think flashy ear coverings would be very big. And I HC that taking of your ear coverings in front of someone would be like a really intimate act for a sinkhole Pau'an. Like the ears are a real errogenous zone for them, but not at all for the surface Pau'an, who don't wear them because they don't need them. In fact, while they keep ear coverings around for when they do have to visit a city, wearing them would really hinder their survival on the plains. They need to be able to hear a hyperwind storm coming or approaching game.
If we're talking lifespans, I'm not sure there's a canon answer to this other than occassional casual mentions of being "only" 200 years old or so (this happened at least once recently in the lego game too) so we know they can live a very long time. Probably around 500 years or so.
I'm still trying to wrap my head around why they would need 2 stomachs. Best idea I have so far is one is more of a muscular "crop" or is highly acidic for helping break down difficult materials, but flesh is not a difficult material to break down, so maybe they can also eat bone or small whole prey items. I'm going to guess sinkhole Pau'an don't do that very much, and I generally HC them to be a pretty refined bunch who pride themselves on civility and pacifism.
Honestly they seem like they would be on the cutting edge of trying to develop artificial meat products. That seems like something they would do. It also plays a little more into the social divide between surface and sinkhole Pau'an, which I like.

TV SHOW PISTOL COUPLE: MALCOLM X READER RATING: FLIRTY AF / KINDA SMUTTY
REQUESTED: @songbyrd15
Can I request a Malcolm Mclaren x reader, the reader is a punk singer from NYC and started at CBGBs, they used to know each other when he managed the NY Dolls and now she’s living in London and he’s nervous to tell her how he feels? Ik that was a lot, thank you!
Tumblr media
I sat in the back or sex, going over some invoices that Vivienne had left for me to look over,
Leather fabric
buckles
screen printing stuff
that new clothing rail
having to figure payroll and deductions,
Damn we need an accountant I am a visionary, not a mathematician
I sighed and gave up for a minute getting up and going to the counter for a minute rubbing my eyes, I glanced around the place everything as it should be a few people here and there mostly looky-loos come in to see what the place is about I did spot someone interesting over by the latex skirts. I familiar-looking woman.
She stood there looking through the skirts, these tall platform heeled knee-high boots with purple laces all the way up to them in little bows at the top, fishnets with various holes in, this little black and white vertical striped skirt that clung to every inch of her, a purple dress with an asymmetrical skirt and long leaves even a hood she hadn't put up sort of a hoodie dress, she had a black underbust corset around her tightly with the middle so high it really shows her breasts, nipples slightly poking thought the thin dress, she had chains hung around her in various accented places, one long chain necklace with a large purple pentagram pendant, she had a spiked choker around her neck, purple lipstick, intense but beautiful black eyeliner, bright purple highlighter across her cheeks and nose, her black as ebony hair in a long braid down her back with two spiked I assume chokers used as hair bands one at the top and one at the end of her braid, a spiked hair band on top of her head, I took note of her and for some reason I couldn't stop watching her as she looked around.
for whatever reason, I couldn't stop looking at her she felt... I don't know Familiar to me.
she glanced up seeing me looking at her, she looked me up and down and a smirk grew across her face
"My my" she smiled "If it isn't the Master of the shocking, Vulga and Provoking, The aggressor of anarchy, Monsieur Malcolm Mclaren. Haven't seen you in a while" she smirked
"Fuck! Y/n Y/l/n!" I laughed overjoyed to see her again "Come here! I haven't seen you in forever" I laughed giving her a cuddle which she happily obliged "OWww! spikes y/n spikes!" I complained as her headband was stabbing my throat
"Oop sorry pet" she giggled moving away from a little so she was still in my arms but she wasn't stabbing me
"as sharp as ever there y/n"
"You use to love my spikes" she pouts
"Awww I still love your spikes, you look beautiful you haven't changed a bit"
"Neither have you" she smiled "I knew I'd find you I looked around London long enough" she giggled
"what the hell are you doing here?"
"I moved here"
"Moved here! When?"
"I moved last month, it got so plaid out so I read a little article about how London is becoming the new scene so here I am" she smiled
"Whereabouts are you then?"
"Not far just a few blocks, sorry streets"
"really? I'm up that way too"
"Really? aww not too far then pet" she smiled "I really missed you"
"Yeah, I missed you too." I smiled giving her forehead a kiss
"who's this?" Viv spoke up as she came through the door from wherever she had been something to do with her kids I don't know,
"Ah! Viv." I said having to force my smile moving y/n a little away from me, a little honestly I kinda wanted her to fuck off "ahh it is my pleasure to introduce, This is the glamourous y/n y/ln, we use to be like strawberries and cream weren't we? back when I was working closely with the new york dolls"
"umm we were monsieur Mclaren" she giggled stroking my hair "that was back in my post CB experimentation I call it. do you remember that night we had that huge party on the rooftop and we were so loud -"
"They had a helicopter over us trying to shut the party down, Ohh my god that was amazing, and you flashed them"
"well I wasn't alone was I pet" she giggled
"Why do you call him that?" Viv spoke up as she came over
"Call me what?" I asked
"Monsieur?" Viv asks
"Ohh when we first met, I was so stupid I heard the accent and I thought he was french"
"for like three weeks you thought that"
"It just stuck as a little thing, mostly to make fun of you"
"Ohh I know it was, well your more than welcome to pop by now your living here we'll have to meet up one night to catch up on everything"
"Umm just like old times, here this is my address and my phone” she smiled grabbing the pad from the counter table and scribbling down her address and phone number
"yeah it'll be amazing, you planning on working on music while you're over here?"
"I might be" she giggled "I have to run I need to meet up with some people but it was lovely to see you, I'll take you up on a catch up one of these days pet" she smiles giving my cheek a kiss before she hurried out avoiding Viv who sort of was still just stood there glaring at me, I watched her go not really wanting her to leave but then my attention turned to viv
"what the fuck was that?"
"what?"
"Explanation Malc. Now" she orders crossing her arms
"for what?"
"who that little whore is!"
"Whore! Look whos talking, two kids with different dads, she’s an old friend that's all. back when I was working with the new york dolls I met her don't her scene fresh off CBGB's she was fantastic best voice I ever heard I toyed with managing her for a while but I got busy with other work so did she but we saw each other a lot we were close, people use to laugh because they would say 'you never see y/n without Malcolm following behind her' when shit when south with NYD I came back to London she said in new york released a few good albums too"
"did you fuck her?"
"what?"
"did you fuck her?"
"yes. will you calm down it was before I even met you?"
"she calls you pet?"
"yeah?"
"I call you pet"
"firstly she called me that first secondly you call out everyone's pet"
"fine. whatever" she says matching off to the back room “those invoices better be done, Malcolm”
I sat at the table taking drags of my cigarette I was attempting to read but I couldn't focus on much of anything in the damn book, just thinking of my time in new york with y/n, we were young, stupid, but it was so fun, I would have traded anything for just one more day with that girl. Viv ushered her kids off to bed and I finished my cigarette trying to keep my attention on the book soon enough she returned to sorting out the table
"You’re thinking Malc"
"I'm always thinking, if I wasn't we would be royalty fucked"
"you’re thinking about her aren't you?"
"who?"
"that y/l/n"
"I haven't seen her in several years, we were around each other alot, and we had rather wonderful moments together I'm simply remembering"
"Remembering what?"
"things. what do you care anyway? haven't you got skirts to sew?"
"fine. but I wanna know one thing Malc do you still have feelings for her?"
"what? why do you care?"
"Because I'm the mother of your bloody child!" she yelled "tell me. now."
"No I-"
"Malcolm. you tell me and you tell me now" she growls grabbing my hair hard "do you still have feelings for her?"
"No. I do not."
"good. tea before bed?" she smiled letting me go
"Alright go on" I nodded returning to my cigarette, I knew I was lying but I was in enough shit. I had always kept y/n in the back of my mind, that if life in London really went to shit I would hop back on a plane to new york and find her, I had considered many times sending letters to her to new york to call her over to London but she bounced around so much you'd never have an address for her, ever since I saw her all I wanted was to see her again.
I laid in bed watching the clock tick, I ass getting the cold shoulder hell cold everything but that wasn't unusual. Hell, we slept in separate bedrooms nowadays. It would likely be the end for me and Viv and honestly, I had seen it coming for a long time, if I'm honest I think it started ending almost as soon as it began, but tonight it didn't weigh on me. I had a wide smile just thinking of y/n and all our time together.
I truly loved that girl. More than I had ever loved anyone. We had fun while I was in new york but I didn't tell her how I felt about her. And as I sit and think about Viv I'm reminded that… I don't love Viv. And I'm not sure I ever did, I remember saying to myself the first night me and y/n had together as she laid there naked as the day she was born in my arms I said to myself that she was the only woman I'd ever marry ever give my life to complete. And the timing seemed to be right for her to walk back into my life. At a time when I could give her the life, I would have wanted to. I grabbed the other pillow and pulled it to my chest gently stroking down the soft cotton gently humming to myself the way I use to hum in her ear while I stroked her hair, she'd sing for me softly and gently our song…
"Hey, Malcolm! Come here a sec" Eli yelled from her seat at the bar so I headed over
"You're going on tonight then?" I asked her
"I should be" she smiled
"Get another vodka down you dear you never sing well sober," I told her
"I wanted you to meet my Friend, this is y/n" she introduced me to this impressive girl in a red latex dress hardly an inch of her concealed and a headband of black spikes
"Pleasure to meet you" she smiled
"Lovely to meet you," I nodded "You lied to me, Eli. You didn't say he was cute"
"I said he is a good manager which is what you need y/n"
"Hold up. You didn't say I was cute? secondly who gave you permission to scout new clients for me?"
"You did."
"Did I?"
"Yes."
"Ohh… Well then. You any good?"
"I don't know" she smiled "see you later" she smiled giving me a little wave and headed off elsewhere
“Like her?”
“Eli. don’t recommend me to people I barely like you let alone anyone else I have the new york dolls to keep an eye on”
“Fine. don’t be mad at me” she smirked as I noticed that y/n girl take the stage in her little latex dress she smirked holding the mic pole and smirking as the music began she winked in my direction before she began to sing, it was amazing her voice was perfect, her song had anger but she was in time, in tune, she was perfect. When she was done with her song she headed down and back to the bar
“Hi” she smiled
“Hi.”
“Y/n Y/l/n,” she smirked offering her hand
“Malcolm McLaren” I smiled giving her hand a kiss “You are phenomenal”
“Aww that's sweet pet” she smiled
"So you're shopping for a manager?"
"I might be"
I sat listening to some guys I was interested in looking after but I had long since decided against it, they weren't what I was looking for so I was nursing my drink for a while I glanced around the place a little and quickly I noticed the door open to a familiar sight, she matched in wearings these dagger heels, latex thigh high stockings, a mini dress of black lace with I think a pair of panties under it… I think, she definitely didn’t have a bra on. She spotted me and smiled coming over so I shot the rest of my drink and smirked at her “Hello y/n”
“Evening” she smirked
“I thought you were home working on a new song?”
“Ohhh pet. You go out to the clubs without me and expect me not to find out and sneak away too” she smirked “You’ll have to do better then that” she smirked playing with my shirt
“Will I?”
“You will.”
“I’m your manager, this is my work”
“Ohh no. your my pet.” she smirked “I just choose to keep you busy” she winked
“Do you now? Then I am very lucky to be allowed to”
“Don’t push it” she smiled hitting my hip with her own as the band finished up so they went back to juke box music
“Fuck”
“What?”
“I am going to have to be… nice”
“Gross. Why?”
“I said I would consider these guys”
“Bad move”
“I know,”
“Come on, take a dance with me. When they settle down we’ll scamper out the door and go find a nice place to have fun”
“What kinda fun?”
“We'll figure that out later” she smirked “So” she smiled offering her hand
“Okay” I smiled taking her hand I don’t know if you could call this dancing but it was fun, but soon after someone put on a sweet soft song, Angel baby many people groaned in annoyance at the mushy song but she smiled at me wrapping her arms around my neck so I nuzzled close wrapping my arms around her waist and… I just… melted. Seeing behind the leathers, behind the voice, behind the makeup… just her.

okay so because I’m not good at drawing today I wanted to like describe how I want to draw Gwyn and Dea.
Basically, Dea would have really heavy, wholesome fabrics. Lots of knit and crochet even. Fabrics like fleece and wool and felt. She even has like a quilted section on her skirt and that would be made out of the bundle she was found in when she was a baby. She would, however, have a sheer lacy undershirt. She’d have working pants, the cuffs rolled up so that her calves are showing. She would be wearing vertically striped stockings. For shows, she wears a thick shawl and flats, but daily she wears a sleeveless cardigan and laced leather boots. Her entire outfit is various shades of purple and white, except for the boots/flats, which are either dark brown or black. Around her wrists she has handmade bracelets, with little trinkets and charms on them for her to touch and listen to. Many are made by herself or Ursus, but few from Gwyn as the pain makes it hard for him to do fine motor control actions like braiding or weaving. That’s why the ones she does have from Gwyn are the ones she loves the most. She also has a sash that she will either tie around her waist or around her head. It’s finely embroidered with all sorts of things, including a rough rendition of Mojo. There are small bells attached to the end of it, but only some of them work. They’re bronze is tarnished but they make the nicest twinkling sounds when she moves.
For Gwyn he would have very rich, thin, and flowey fabrics. They would all be in some shape of distress, however. Tarnished silk, stained lenin, torn chiffon, and the like. His pants would be high waisted with elegant engraved buttons, potentially with his family crest? but they would be torn and ripped up around his calf. He would be wearing horizontal striped stalkings. For shows, he wears flats like Dea, but for daily wear he uses knee high scuffed up black leather boots that are like just a little too tight so it gives off the same effect as compression socks. This would also be the reason he’s wearing leather braces on his arms. Normal gloves, however, would impede his puppetry, so he has fingerless gloves that don’t relieve his pain as much. He also has a corset that has been modified into a back brace that he wears under his clothes. His entire outfit would be made of dark, right colors, except for the wraps around his mouth, which are changed frequently and are a vibrant white, often times stained with red. Dea, Ursus, and himself never let it get to the point where the blood has turned brown.

Purchase Belts From Chanel In Malaysia January 2022
Her beautiful high featured silver stripes that ran by way of the highest vertically, and silver cuffs. She accomplished the look with a wonderful velvet skirt, a diamond belt and an eye catching necklace. The iconic Loewe anagram is prominently featured as a buckle on this clean calfskin belt. Finding the best belt for your body type and style isn't all the time seamless. wikipedia belt So, we took it upon ourselves, and somewhat help from life-style expert Preston Konrad, to curate a listing of really helpful belts from the most popular and reputable manufacturers. https://skel.io/replica-designer-belts/chanel-belt-replica.html Founded by visionary couturier Gabrielle Chanel in 1909, this Parisian heritage model has a rich sartorial legacy that produced iconic quilted bags, little black clothes and Chanel No. 5 perfume. Featuring the home's signature gold chains and crossed C logo, Chanel belts are classically fashionable and timeless in design. Established by the revolutionary legend Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel, the luxurious trend home has been a long-standing icon within the ever-evolving trade. Chanel is understood for its simplistic elegant items that stand the test of time. For home pick-up, we will charge $7 for attire and $10 for luggage. When it comes to V’s personal type, each element is important. His patterned button-down shirt, his plaid scarf worn over a yellow flowery tie, and the little embroidery on his black tie, for instance. It’s his small styling particulars that make all the distinction. Each development within the world Lip Powders market is carefully analyzed and studied by market analysts. Market analysts and researchers performed an in-depth evaluation of the global Lip Powders market utilizing analysis methodologies corresponding to pestle and Porter's five force evaluation. The belt is from Maison CHANEL. It is manufactured from beige suede together with the enduring CC symbol manufactured from pale gold toe metallic and adorned with rhinestones. After Coco Chanel died in 1971, the brand underwent several modifications in leadership, together with designer Karl Lagerfeld, who took over as creative director in 1983. The House of Chanel nonetheless operates its flagship on rue Cambon in Paris, the place all of it began. The pants that most girls love carrying right now have been first designed by Coco Chanel in the early 1900s. She first wore pants in Venice, and later, she launched them, which was an outraging step in style at that time. “I want it to be me writing the captions, posting things. I’d fear an excessive amount of about somebody else pretending to be me. “I can’t even think about numbers like that although,” says the actress a number of days later. In later seasons, she’s been pressured to confront the true nature of her adoring mother and father, her unwavering (or perhaps wavering?) perception in romantic love, and quite so much of psycho killers. In actual life, Mendes is 5’2” while the Atlantic Ocean takes up almost 41 million miles. Watch the Riverdale star wade by way of waves in Miami—even whereas carrying some gasp-worthy beachwear from Chanel—and it’s straightforward to lose her between the blue-green swells that smash the horizon. Hadid used a disco-inspired metallic belt to play with texture. Her long O-ring belt brought some sparkle to her denim jumpsuit and suede duster, and it highlighted the jumpsuit's corset prime's punk sartorial roots. In peak early 2000s fashion, Britney Spears wore a diamond chain with a denim robe, a thick layered choker, and matching handbag. Then-boyfriend Justin Timberlake joined in on the fun with an all-denim outfit of his own. This indicates that the item is a collectible circa twenty years or prior.

Better late than never! Thank you to @noortjelanterfanter for the fun idea. Now if you'll excuse me I have some catching up to do!
Tumblr media
Day 1: Something I've Made
Tumblr media
This is the first "real" costume I made. Turns out vertical stripes on a 12 panel corset are a bitch to cut and I kept having to add layers of lace to the top so I wasn't walking around freeing the nipple, but I still really like this one and still wear this "gentlewoman adventurer" costume at con.
Day 2: An Animal
Tumblr media
Snek
Day 3: Food
Tumblr media
Easily my favorite meal rn
Day 4: Love
Tumblr media
True love is couples costumes, don't @ me
Day 5: Something Vintage
Tumblr media
My great grand mother's trivet. It has hung above a stove in my family's houses for over 100 years.

Tomoe Mami
Probably my favourite design out of the original five.
I like how this still looks like a magical girl outfit with the puffy sleeves and miniskirt, but comes across as a bit more mature than the usual with brownish colour palette and the corset. The ribbon having little lace on the edges is a cute touch. Also as has come up many times on this blog, I’m a big fan of vertically striped socks so this look would get pretty far with just that alone. And she has one of the best Soul Gems, the metal flower is such a striking design (and the flower iconography repeats in her magic as well).
Then there’s the iconic hair, overall the Madoka franchise doesn’t have particularly memorable hairstyles but Mami’s gravity defying drill twintails is exactly the kind of silliness I hope to see in this genre.
So, overall a really solid design that has just the correct amount of iconic details, the sweet spot between boring and overdesigned, like it’s made from many fairly simple elements that don’t have a lot of detail themselves, but put together they make the outfit be strange enough to be a magical girl.
It’s kind of funny how the Madoka franchise has also suffered from the “power creep” when it comes to designs, I mean Mami here looks downright plain when you compare her to some of the newer stuff like Natsuki or Kako. Not that a simple design is a bad thing or that stuffing a design full of details means it’s good, but compared to the newer girls the original heroines can look a bit like old video game characters who have become obsolete when new characters with new shiny gameplay options are added. But Mami’s still a 10/10.
Tumblr media
Holy Mami is a palette swap (=boring) but thankfully there’s a bit more to her. Colour palette checks out for a Christmas theme but still manages to be a “regular” power up that can be used in a story that has nothing to do with Christmas. I like the dark striped collar, a turtleneck fits a winter image well. And extra ribbons certainly go well with Mami’s ribbon theme, and there’s some new flowers too. Crown feels a bit bulky and out of place with this design though, but I like the metallic ribbons hanging from her wrists. Makes me think of Christmas decorations or gift paper wrapping.
Considering how she’s not really herself when she uses this form, I like how it looks like the outfit restricts her somewhat with the ribbons around her and how her wrists are tied to the cape.
Ultimately this is alright but I still wish the outfit was a bit more different from her main look. So I dunno, 7/10 for having a good idea but not going far enough with it?
Tumblr media
I’m not doing the swimsuit outfits since this is a magical design ranking, but this is weird enough to qualify. As a swimsuit this is completely nonsensical, she has so much stuff on with detached sleeves, the wrist thingies, the thigh decoration and whatever those on her legs are called. And a sleeveless jacket and some hanging sash too because why not! As a magical girl outfit this look is alright, but as a swimsuit I find it ridiculous in how overdesigned it is. In one of the cards they’ve drawn this with the rest of the squad who wear more believable beach looks so Mami’s getup comes across as totally out of place. I wonder what the rest of the girls thought when Mami-sempai showed up like this.
The sleeveless frilly jacket is cute, especially with the little flowers, but the hoodie part feels a bit strange on Mami who I’ve always thought would wear more formal outfits. The silver parts are cool too, though I imagine the leaves on the bikini bottom would feel unpleasant since I keep thinkin of how they’d cut into your skin if you move just a little. The colour palette is pleasant and the flowy white cloth looks great with the silver.
So as a swimsuit this is ludicrous, but with some tweaks I could buy this as a regular magical girl outfit (like actual shoes, and please add some more cloth to the top and skirt). Then it would certainly be above average. But no ranking since I have trouble deciding how much I should hold the fact that the outfit really doesn’t work as a swimsuit alt against it.

All her outfits are top tier. I'm not even sure it's fair to put them order for that reason, so I'm not gonna haha! It's not just the outfits, I mean if she didn't perform so amazingly the outfits would miss that extra shine! And they do shine!
The stylists know exactly what they are doing! I'm sure Chung Ha herself has put her own thoughts into the outfits! All of the looks give little stories in my mind which is really high quality because they don't just fit the concept but make concepts!
Note: Sorry for any spelling or grammar errors I just type too fast because I gotta get my thoughts out lol. Also it took me a long time to get the photos and sort them and my net went off for about 20 mins so I'm pretty tired @u@;;; but I had to continue cause fashion lol. Also I'm on mobile and they still don't have a read more so sorry for the longer scroll.
Tumblr media
Regal vampress and Comic pop punk. Since they are in the same stage I'm doing them both together. The key point for thr regal vampress is her long high pig tails and her mini ball gown. With her matching long gloves and boots this outfit is simply gorgeous. I love pig tails a lot and she looks so good with them! I also love it because of the length it adds elegance but still is youthful because its pig tails. Her comic pop punk is just so good! Okay so we have the bold colours, with an awesome cartoon bomber jacket. Her space buns with pink fabric in them match it well with her baby pink boots, bright bold pink shorts and graffiti pattern knee highs! This really is comic book heroine and I love it so much! Both outfits represent the playfulness and badassness of the song! Fantastic!
Tumblr media
Electric playful punk. The key here is her the highlighter yellow lime colour and hair. Her hair horns remind me of a bicycle handle. The large outlined cat eye is perfection, so sharp and stunning with an added cuteness from the star. Her sparkling tights add that glamour femininity along with her going to kick ass boots that say "Get out of my way!" but in a playful way with the sparkles. The corset belt with the DIY tulle skirt that ruffles romantically at the back and rocker cut striped gloves that also have the sheer tulle fabric to match the skirt emphasis on the cute punk vibes. The large neck chain matches the corset belt chain as well adding again to that punk biker look. Just top tier!
Tumblr media
Runaway circus, Midnight dancer. This look gives me a vibe of a post apocalyptic world. Where she finds herself after running away in a dark circus as its main dancer. There is fire, mystery and marvel! Another playful but dark stye! The key here is her eye makeup. Like a card of the queen of hearts, it's once again playful but calculated. Adding to her deadly aura is the knife heart top with the heavy looping belts around her waist. Finally matched with sexy, classy and punkish stockings that with her gloves and her long black sleek knee high boots! I was thinking they could have added a hat like Ryujin's in Not Shy but then that would take away from the eye makeup but maybe perhaps a small hair accessory just to add a little bit more, but I do like over the top shine haha so this is probably best. On closer inspection her braids have pretty silver strands and his fingers have rings! She also has huge chain earrings! Love the extra details and this is what I was looking for! Love it!
Tumblr media
Metal cowgirl biker queen. The key point here is her braids in her hair and the fishnet tights, open chaps combo. Her painted nails with her cut gloves that look to be the same denim as the chaps or similar fabric are so cool. I love how the chest holster links with her chaps, and her top has a firey pattern. This outfit screams, "Sit back and watch me ride!", she isn't holding back! Her hair also has an light purple ombre and the plaits have silver threads to give a little sparkle. Once again this is another fantastic attention to details!
Tumblr media
Ice punk delinquent princess. The key here is the cold white colour and her gangster school outfit. This outfit is so wonderful! When I was a teen I would have been trying to replicate this look for sure! I love the white fishnets, like it would have been easy to go just black and it would have matched the tie too but once again the stylists know the key is the fine details. Her gun metal nails with her smokey eye shadow are just so crisp and gorgeous on her. I love how the skirt has a little volume at the back to shape the blazer nicely and add that princess element. I could totally imagine her with a white baseball bat with spikes with the handle being silver. And let's not forget the thick boots and her delicate chains accenting her blazer and half skirt! "I got ice decorating my neck." Supreme!
Tumblr media
True leather biker Queen. I couldn't find a vertical focus but the boots are the same as number 2 stage. The key point of this outfit is her neatly feathery hair bun and accent buckles and chains. The whole outfit works completely well because it's all leather or like leather material. Completely being the biker gang look. I love the belt buckle garter on her fishnets, her almost cat suit that is accessoried with chains. And even though her hair style is simple, the feathery back with the blonde extension is really fun! Her top also looks a bit like a battle armour breast plate. I'd just love to see her on a bike outside a dusty diner on a hot day. Can we just have a photo book of her looks with concepts please lol.

RoyalRumormonger’s 10 Least Liked Wedding Gowns
Let me preface this by saying this is based on my own personal style and taste.
10)  Sofia Hellqvist, Princess of Sweden:  Ida Sjöstedt
Tumblr media
Looking back, this gown doesn’t really seem like Sofia, if that makes sense. I love the tiara and flowers, but if I were to pick out a gown for her, this wouldn’t be it. I don’t like the vertical stripes of lace running down the skirt and the waistline/bodice looks “off”.
9) Princess Madeleine of Sweden: Valentino
Tumblr media
Madeleine was a radiant bride on her wedding day, but that dust ruffle on the end of the skirt of this gown kills me. The odd fit of the bodice and how the sleeve slid down her shoulder makes me shake my head.
8) Charlene Wittstock, Princess of Monaco: Giorgio Armani Privé
Tumblr media
I have an irrational dislike of Charlene’s gown. It might due to the two trains, which makes the gown look difficult to walk in. It might be due to the poor construction of the trains which bunched up as she walked down the aisle. It might be the veil laying awkwardly on top of the upper train. Who knows? The beading and fabric, however, are beautiful.
7) Maria Margarita Vargas Santaella, Duchess of Anjou: Victorio & Lucchino
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think this dress was made of several different gowns stitched together, Frankenstein style. It almost looks like a lace turtleneck was plopped on top of a pre-existing gown in order to make it appropriate to wear in the church. The high-low lace part of the skirt is very distracting with so much of the satin underskirt peaking out. I confess I love lace veils, but this one is a bit too shroud like, and to me, it isn’t working well with the rest of the look.
6)  Princess Nathalie of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg:  Henrik Hviid
Tumblr media
Also on a lot of people’s lists and for good reason. There’s a lot going on here. It has this weird crochet flower/star motif lace which ends in a cumberbund, but the motif then cascades down the front of the skirt. (The tiara and lace veil are heirloom and follows the Danish royal family’s wedding tradition, which I love.)
Princess Alexandra of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg: ???
Nathalie’s sister, Princess Alexandra wore the gown shown below for her second wedding last May. I do love her bouquet, but this gown, yikes. The love of floral/star motifs must be genetic because this gown is entirely appliqued with them. The puffy sleeves and high neck doesn’t help either.
Tumblr media
5) Zara Tindall: Stewart Parvin
Tumblr media
From the neck up I love Zara’s look, but the gown is another story. The gathered tulle cap sleeves are unflattering, the drop waist with the paneled corset is bad, and the bottom hem element is too distracting. Okay, I said I like the neck up of this look, but what I meant, is that I love her make-up, hair, and tiara. This veil flares out too much from her head for me to love it.
4) Tatiana Blatnik, Princess of Greece: Angel Sanchez
Tumblr media
For someone who worked in the fashion industry as an event planner, I would’ve expected Tatiana to have a jaw dropping wedding look. The lace is so delicate and lovely but the design of this gown is uninspired. I really don’t like strapless dresses and this one with this matching lace bolero is just “bleh”.
3) Princess Caroline of Monaco:  Marc Bohan for Christian Dior
Tumblr media
This gown, this gown y’all. I don’t know who allowed her to pick this, but it is so unflattering. The silhouette, short hem, and high neck line do nothing for her. Don’t get me started on the weird Princess Leia/Star Wars hair and floral headdress. **Quick question: does it have a draw string waist? I’m asking because I’ve looked at all the photos available and it looks like it has a draw string waist.**
2) Princess Stephanie of Monaco:
Tumblr media
I will only say that this gown is a product of its time, but it's also a choice.
1) Lady Diana Spencer, Princess of Wales: David and Elizabeth Emanuel
Tumblr media
Another product of its time, but this one is iconic. Unfortunately, it cemented one of the worst trends in bridal fashion. The whole thing is so overwhelming on such a young bride. I’ll leave it at that.

going shopping (glinda x reader)
glinda begs you to go shopping and you can’t help but indulge your crush.
520 words
cw: not a femreader (for once) but a gnreader who dresses more feminine. reader is insecure about their body.
“do you like this one?” glinda pointed to a short green dress with a intricate lace corset detail.
“oh wow...” you breathed.
“you do!” she exclaimed, and added the garment to the growing mass hanging from her arm.
“how about that one?” you pointed to a black and white dress, with alternating vertical stripe patterns flowing down the skirt.
“would that be flattering to your figure?” she asked, holding it up to your body.
when she saw your face fall, she attempted to correct herself, “i don’t mean that in a bad way of course, i mean that... i mean that striped dresses are so hard to get right.”
you had previously confided in glinda about your insecurities with your body. for someone so obsessed with appearances, she was doing remarkably well with trying to keep comments like that in mind. even though everyone has their slip ups.
“you should try it on anyway!” she finally said.
“okay. let’s go to the dressing room so i can try these on.”
you look in the mirror as you try on the striped dress. glinda was right, it didn’t look great on you.
you stepped out of the room anyway. ginda insisted that you show her everything you tried on.
“okay, okay! give me a twirl! woah look at the wingspan on that skirt!” glinda looked pleased with how it looked. “do you not like it?” she asked, suddenly concerned.
“i mean, it’s fine, but...”
“burn it. throw it in the trash. forget about it, we don’t need it.”
“it’s not that bad of a dress, jeez.”
“but you don’t like it, so take that one off and try on the next one!”
your cheeks flushed, luckily you had already returned to the dressing room, so your crush couldn’t see you.
you faced the final dress. the green one.
you took a deep breath, and began attempting to put the dress on.
you breathed a sigh of relief as you gazed at your reflection. you looked gorgeous.
“is everything okay?” glinda asked.
instead of answering her, you stepped out of the dressing room.
she gasped and brought her hands to her mouth. “you look incredible!”
“y/n! this is the dress! you have to get this!”
you blushed, “really?”
“yes! look at yourself in that mirror!” she turns you to face the mirror, and rested her head on your shoulder. she looked at your face, looking at your body.
her smile and her happiness were infectious. you couldn’t help but smile.
you watched her face change from happy, to something else.
“glinda?”
“yeah?” you snapped her out of her thoughts.
“you okay?”
“mm oh yeah.” she hesitated for a second, “ do you want to get coffee after this?”
“i thought you didn’t like coffee.”
“i... do... now...?” you could tell she was lying, but it was cute.
suddenly gathering courage, “do you mean, like, a date?”
“y...es.”
“are you sure about that?” you laughed.
“yes.” she said, now confident.
“well, i say yes.” you smile.
“now, let’s get you out of this dress!”
“woah there. not until the third date.” you joked.

Long skirt observations
I was concritting someone on CoF today about doing longer skirts in lolita, so here’s a bit of expansion on what I said.
Playing with what's commonly accepted is a lot of fun and it's how our fashion evolves. However, I've noticed a few things about the basic constructions of longer lolita skirts, so I'm going to concept barf them all at you now. If you're going to do a tea-length skirt, having both equal volume and the right drape are both really important. You don't want the bottom of the skirt to stick out flat, because it draws attention to the length of the hem. Instead, you'll need the hem to be big enough that it forms soft gathers (horrible diagram, left is a skirt without enough fullness, right is with enough, both depicted without a petticoat). It's really important that the shape of the skirt stays with consistent fullness, and doesn't drop off like a lampshade at the middle. To do this, you need a petticoat that's the same length as your dress. Even with the petticoat, you need the hem of your skirt to have enough volume for it to keep some soft folds at the hem, instead of it being flat like we do for shorter skirts. Generally, longer lolita skirts are also made of a more silky/draping material that makes lots of little soft folds, instead of crisper folds. The only other observation I have is that a print on a longer skirt, if it has one, needs to be visible from a distance and not get caught up in the small folds. This generally means a border print (visible horizontally around the whole bottom of the skirt) or something with vertical stripes (which can be loose stripes, like the print in Holy Lantern). If you're interested in long-skirt lolita, I definitely suggest you keep researching and looking into it, finding substyles that use it, and how people often coord them, as well as what's going on with the skirt itself. I think research and compiling mental lists of what does and doesn't work in terms of construction is really fun, but I don't know if everyone else does.
And here’s the mentioned graphic.
Tumblr media
So, here’s a few shots that I grabbed off google of long-skirt lolita
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
If these are your coord or you know whose they are, please let me know if I can credit someone or if you want to be removed. These all popped up in a google images of “long skirt lolita ootd”. BTW, tacking “ootd” or “coord” on the bottom of a google search is a really easy way to weed out images of ebay stores and milanoo.
So, a few notes that I didn’t put in my original block of text because I didn’t post references:
First of all, note that all these skirts are holding the same pose. A good first test of skirt fullness is to strike this pose, and then make sure that you have the same shape as they do. If you pull your skirt like this, and it lampshades and develops horizontal drag lines, you need more fullness.
In patternmaking terms, you can make a knee-length skirt out of a rectangle, but you almost always want to make a below-knee or tea-length skirt out of a trapezoid or arc. You’ll still want to gather it at the waistband like a rectangle skirt, but because of the length, you’ll need the bottom hem to be a lot longer.
While we’re talking about waistlines, if you have a long skirt, you need to find a way to lengthen your torso and drop the waist point a little bit. One of the easiest successful ways to do this is to use an underbust corset
Tumblr media
Here’s how that does its magic:
In lolita, we almost always want our waists to be at our waist. Generally, we do that by making the poof happen at the (natural) waist, and putting the seam between the bodice and the skirt at the waist. This makes it so that there’s a distinct change in texture at your natural waist.
Corsets make your waist happen at your waist by squishing your body in such a way that your waist becomes the smallest point of your body. This makes your visible waist right about where the ugly beige line is in this a+ diagram i farted out.
However, the textural change, the place where the color of the corset turns into the color of the skirt, happens lower, at the red line. This keeps your waist up at your waist, while letting you drop the textural change down lower. Dropping that texture change lower helps balance out the coord.
Tumblr media
Diagram of that. Here’s a long skirt that has its gathered waistline at your natural waistline. The bottom of the coord is dominated with the color and texture of the skirt, since it makes up the majority of the figure.
Tumblr media
When you lengthen your torso, the skirt doesn’t get any shorter, but it takes up less percentage of the total figure. This brings the balance of what percent of your body is used for what thing into more the range we’re used to in lolita.
Since that last sentence made no sense, here’s another graphic:
Tumblr media
Here’s a shot of me (not because it’s a great coord, just because I had enough uncredited pics already in the intro), with colors laid over major parts of the outfit. There’s 22 green shirt squares and 37 blue skirt squares, or 1.6x as many skirt squares as shirt squares.
Tumblr media
If I make the skirt longer, by adding more blue to the bottom, eyes that are familiar with looking at lolita coords will detect that there’s too much skirt and not enough shirt to back it up.
That’s a massive oversimplification of how it works, but that’s the concept.
So, say you don’t want to go the corset route. How else can you keep the lolita shape at the waist, but not have the skirt overtake the torso?
Tumblr media
Bringing this pic back, let’s just break down what they did here.
First of all, you have the vertical break in the skirt, where the white inset is. This draws a distinct white vertical line that goes from the skirt to the torso (and is continued in the bodice via the lace on the top), and lengthens the torso by doing so.
Secondly, you have a distinct border on the skirt. This skirt uses that wide white border instead of dropping the waist. Instead, this skirt has a blue patch that’s the size of a normally-accepted knee-length skirt, and then adds a contrasting edge on it for length. You still get the long, but you still avoid having a large uninteresting patch of one color (or pattern or texture).
EDIT: Also, going all one color, like a single-color dress, can also work. Can’t have a lack of balance between top color and bottom color if they’re all the same color
<insert that gif of the dude tapping his temple>
.
The other thing worth paying attention to is your petticoats! If you’re going long, you need a long petticoat, or you’ll look like a lamp at Old Spaghetti Factory.
Tumblr media
Specifically, the one on the far right. Good place to eat, not a good place to be a lamp.
You want your longest petticoat to be a minimum of 4″ shorter than your final skirt. You can get around this by making a couple of additional longer underskirts that you wear on top of your shorter petticoat, but you NEED need need NEED to have support of your skirt all the way down, or it won’t look polished or thought out or lolita.
.
Okay, so that was definitely boring and uninteresting and poorly explained and way too long, but there you go, have me dissecting how to make long skirts stay looking lolita. Just don’t forget to emphasize your shoes and socks if you go long! Make sure that long skirts doesn’t mean missing your feets!

May I present, DOCTOR STRANGE! Yes, I’m Mr. Cumberbatch can’t you tell?! Well I will tell you that I’m not Stephanie Strange. Who isn’t a character in the Marvel Universe but yet I get called that for some weird reason? Hmmm.. I wonder why.🤷‍♀️  #womenincosplayprobs. BUT, I digress. Let’s chat about how I made my favorite cosplay, yes I said it, MY FAVORITE COSPLAY I EVER MADE. That’s a tall order since most people would believe that my Star Wars cosplays are my favorite. Queen Amidala is right behind Strange in the “favorite costume line up of mine”. It’s all about the connection to the character. I love Doctor Strange. He is my favorite comic book character. I will say I came into this Strange dimension later than most. I’ve read some Avengers and Defenders comics before and I’ve always been intrigued by the character but never really dove into his storyline. It wasn’t until the movie in 2015 that I just fell in love with the character. I really loved that movie. So, I immediately dove into all the comics I could get. From the old 70s comics to the newest ones, I became enthralled. To show my appreciation for my new found comic love, I had to make his outfit.
I knew this build wouldn’t be a super long build (like 9 months for Amidala), but I knew I would be figuring things out along the way. The cloak was the first piece I wanted to tackle. I fabric swatched at Joann’s Fabric and on the first go, I found the exact fabric for the cloak. It was a special order upholstery fabric. More like fabric for a beautiful red couch. I needed that heavy drape looks but still have a little free flow to it. Next, I found a sensible red velvet and boom. The outer fabric has been sourced. Then, I headed over to Spoonflower.com to find the lining. Easy! Click here for the link to Spoonflower! The design was created by Shawna Lay. Thanks, Shawna!
Yippee! Fabric found. The next items I found were all the trims, cording, interfacing, and thread that I would need for the details on the cloak. I did use some pretty special interfacing for a lot of stiff parts of this whole cosplay such as the collar and shoulder padding on the vest. This stuff is pretty awesome, it’s called Super Structure Foam from the company Sew Much Cosplay. Click here to grab some and check them out.
With all the fabrics and notions for the cloak, it’s time to build. First, the draping. I did drape the cloak, so no pattern exists from me. If you are interested in finding a pattern for the cloak. Use the McCall’s 7676 Doctor Strange pattern. You can easily chop it up and use it. In my case, draping was the easiest.
Once the cloak was draped and I had the shape I wanted, I moved to the details that needed to be handsewn or machine sewed on. The collar has couching details on the back, check it out. This took some time.
From here on out it was a lot of topstitching trim and sewing on big pieces made like the shoulder pieces. Take a look.
I got creative with the trims and textures I had. Luckily Joann’s had a lot of great choices so I didn’t have to dye anything. Let’s move to the magic checkboard velvet pattern I created by accident. The cloak has these distinct velvet checkboard pieces on it. It really boggled my mind on how to get that exact design on the velvet. I thought that I would have to use chemicals to achieve that “burnout” look, so I purchased some. I really couldn’t get it to work well and I just hated dealing with it. I was using wax based chalk to draw out the designs on the velvet to establish an area for the chemicals. At one point, I made a mistake and to remove wax chalk mistake, you hit it with an iron and the chalk marks are removed. So I did that, and surprisingly a residue was left behind on the velvet causing the velvet to have a darker tone where the chalk was. GENIUS! So I grabbed my chalk and rulers then went to town.
It was pretty easy, draw out the design you want, hit it with the iron. Don’t forget to place a press cloth in between just to be safe. Turned out great!
The next couple of images are showing where I placed the checkerboard velvet pieces.
Here are some close ups of the shoulder piece creation.
With almost all my costumes, custom embroidery is added. This time, the custom parts were added to the borders of the cloak. I was able to find a blurry image of the piece online and then I cleaned it up in Adobe Illustrator, transferred it to my Embroidery design software, made it into an embroidery file, then moved it to my embroidery machine. Off it goes!
Now! It’s time to add the lining and call it done!
Tumblr media
Very proud of this build so far! The cloak was a task. Let’s take a break.
Tumblr media
I wanted to take a tiny break from sewing and work on some of the prop pieces for Doctor Strange. I was very lucky to have a great buddy from Twitter 3D print me the Eye of Agamotto (that works!), a sling ring, and the 2 triangle clasps on the cloak. SO MANY THANKS TO @JediJeremy. Seriously dude, thank you. Once I got the pieces, I painted them with gold leaf paint and then weathered with acrylic paint.
After the gold prop pieces were done, I moved to make the vest and tunic. Originally I thought I was going to completely draft these pieces with my own measurements, but I was just getting tired and I knew I could chop up the McCalls 7676 pattern to fit me just fine I made some mockups and did a lot of alterations, but it worked and fit great. If you want to use this pattern for your own Doctor Strange, go for it! Just be aware of the alterations you will have to do especially if you are trying to fit it around curves. I ended up raising the waistline up like 4-6 inches, thus also raising the hems too. Plus taking it in a lot on the sides and shoulder line.
As I stated above, I used simple linens and cotton for the fabrics. Just having the tunic and vest color is a tad different than the other. I completed the tunic using the McCalls pattern and added my own details like the striped pattern around the neckline. Those are just top stitched ribbons layered on each other. I ultimately ended up removing the zipper and just having it open. Worked better for the neckline.
Now the vest. The details I added into my vest are some of my favorite parts of the entire outfit. The best part of that is that it was pretty simple just time-consuming. Following the pattern from McCalls and then altering to my size, I then chose an X shaped embroidery stitch on my Bernina sewing machine. With about 4 different blue colored thread, I stitched vertical line after vertical line alternating the different blue colors. Take a look.
Neat! The last thing I added to the vest was to the shoulders. I wanted a sharp shoulder with a bit of padding but not a lot. So I grabbed the super structure foam that I spoke about above, cut a should pad shape and ironed it on. Then ran some more vertical stitches through to give it a quilted look. Loved it! To finish out the vest, I added random ribbons and selvage edges of fabrics to the armhole edges. Turned out great!
OK! Almost done. The waist cincher corset was simple.
I just used McCall’s 7555 Yaya Han underbust corset. I altered it to what I needed but it worked just fine. Used some heavy black cotton fabric.
Now what’s left are the belts, cuffs, boots, and wig. I purchased two “belt” trims from Joann’s and did little to no major alts to them. The main belts were made from black yarn woven into a 5 strand braid, the other belt I purchased was some black vinyl trim woven into a 4 strand braid. BOOM! I added brown vinyl bias to the black vinyl belt on the edges then hand sewed on snaps. Next, the woven belt was a bit different. View the photos below to get a good grasp of the pattern of that particular belt. Once I figured out the shape, I created the silver ring from EVA foam coated with plasti-dip and silver paint with black weathering spots too.
The details I added next are near and dear to me. With every costume I create, I give the opportunity for anyone to become a part of my costumes via donations through the site, Ko-Fi. Any donation made to my cosplays fund, I will add your name into my outfit somewhere/somehow. For this outfit, my donators got their initials etched into the metal details on my belt. Take a look!
To finish up the belts, I took some black leather strands and wrapped the silver ring. Then I took more of the leather strands and wove it into the knitted black belt. See below
Ok, belts are done! Move to the cuffs, these were easy in my opinion. First thing is to pattern your forearms, yes both because most people have two different sized forearms, then cut out 4 pieces of fabric with your pattern. 4 pieces because you will need to layer to make the cuffs more durable. Joann’s gets another win here because the trim pieces I found where from here too. Thanks Joann. Also, don’t forget to grab two separating zippers for your cuffs. Take a look at how I created them below, don’t be afraid to get a little haphazard with your placement.
After the cuffs where done, I then hit it with an airbrush to weather it. Anytime I can airbrush things, I’m all about it.
ARE WE DONE YET?! Nope! Hang tight, boots and wig left. My boots were super easy, basically, I purchased some cute knee high lace up boots from Amazon, then stitched on blue linen scraps. Yup, done. lol. I also airbrushed them too. Can’t stop, won’t stop. AIRBRUSH!
LAST THING! HERE WE GO. Wig time. I had the wonderful opportunity to win a seasonal sponsorship from Arda Wigs for my Doctor Strange cosplay. The sponsorship would cover my wig costs. THANKS, ARDA! So the wig and wig parts I chose are the Virginia Classic Lace Front in Dark Brown and Silver weft to tie in the sides of the wig. I actually made a Youtube tutorial video on the creation of the wig so take a peek below!
The last thing I want to add is my super awesome spell prop made by my buddy, Bubblesgal0re. If you are interested in grabbing one for yourself, shoot her an email!
If you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact me through email or any of my social media. I’m always ready to answer questions you have about your or my builds. Thank you so much for reading another long How-To blog post. I do appreciate it. My next posts will be all about my Luke Skywalker and Qi’ra build. MTFBWY ❤ Amanda

Let’s get Strange. May I present, DOCTOR STRANGE! Yes, I'm Mr. Cumberbatch can't you tell?! Well I will tell you that I'm not Stephanie Strange.

Crossdress Bet
“Well, looks like you lost the bet Yugo,” Yuto said with a smirk. The banana-haired duelist groaned,
“Gah! Fine! Pick your punishment then.”
Yuya patted his synchro counterpart on the back, “There, there Yugo.” Yuto's smirk turned devilish, “Now then, for your punishment. You have to model Yuri's designs all day and you have to let him take you out this afternoon.”
Yugo's face turned pale at the mention of 'Yuri' and 'model'. “Ugh. Fine. This is the worst day ever,” the synchro user grumbled.
Yuri, the fusion user, was know to design clothes, but very specific kinds. Yuri was a crossdresser and a very convincing one at that. He liked to design outfits that suited 'his kind' as he put it. His clients could be any kind, but his taste in models was very specific. Fortunately, or unfortunately in his case, Yugo fit those tastes perfectly; slender body, cute youthful face, and a hint of attitude. Yugo sighed as he resigned himself to a horrible afternoon.
The bell on the door sounded a pleasant chime as Yugo entered Yuri's studio.
“I'll be with you in just a moment,” the fusion user's voice sounded from deeper in.
The sky-and-sunshine haired boy followed the sound of the voice to find Yuri in his work zone. Violet locks pulled back into a low ponytail, mulberry eyes focused on the design adorning the mannequin before him, Yuri sat primly with a pair of pins tucked between his full lips. Yugo leaned against the door frame, watching in silence as the piece slowly took shape under Yuri's expert hands. The first thing that jumped out at Yugo about the outfit was that it was in his colors. A long sleeved, light blue Chinese style blouse edged in darker blue on the cuffs and a ribbon on the collar blossomed out into a sunshine yellow, mermaid-scale patterned skirt that stopped at the knees. Yuri gave the ribbon one final tug then sat back to admire his work with a satisfied smirk on his face. Then those magenta eyes came to rest on Yugo.
“Well this is certainly a surprise,” Yuri smirked, a knowing lilt in his tone, “Usually the only thing that gets you to visit me here is if you've lost a bet with Yuto. He does know how I simply adore your company. So to what pleasure do I owe this unexpected visit today my dear Fusion?”
Yugo bristled at the mistake on his name, “It's Yugo! And from your tone, you already know damn well why I'm here!”
Yuri giggled daintily into one hand, in a manner Yugo would have found adorable if it had been anyone else. This time, Yuri relented his teasing. “Very well. I'll have you start with this one then,” he gestured at the outfit he had just finished. Yugo sighed but nodded, “I didn't have anything better to do today I guess.”
The morning went on with Yugo trying on dozens of Yuri's designs. Some were okay but others were just downright embarrassing. Like the latest one that Yuri had to practically force Yugo into.
A sleeveless white blouse that ruffled down the front and a white jacket that flowered at the cuffs, a short, mid-thigh deep blue skirt with vertical thin stripes of red and yellow that ruffled at the hem and had three buckles at the waist. Deep blue gloves covered his hands and pale white stockings crept up his legs, ending with lacy garters at his thighs. And a pair of dark blue, almost black Mary janes completed the outfit. Yuri came over and fixed a little white top hat, decorated with a pale blue rose, into Yugo's hair. Then he stepped back to give him a once over.
“Yep that about does it,” Yuri crooned at him, “And what a lovely sight you are.”
Yugo stood before the mirror, twisting this way and that.
“I can't tell if you really mean that or if you're just teasing me again,” he muttered, half to himself, but Yuri heard him anyway. The plum haired boy walked over and took Yugo's face in his hands, forcing him to look Yuri in the eyes.
“I do mean it,” he cooed at his counterpart, stroking his thumbs over the other boy's cheeks, “You look absolutely radiant. The sun itself can't compare to your splendor.”
Yugo was silent for a moment, then his cheeks burned red as his mind grasped what Yuri had just said. His crystal blue eyes flitted about, trying to look anywhere but at Yuri's face,
“T-That's embarrassing you idiot!” Yuri giggled at Yugo's flushed face, “You really are too cute. I'll go change and we'll head out for a little bit.”
The sky-and-sunshine haired boy's face paled at the prospect of going out dressed like this but he had no choice in the matter.
“Alright,” he sighed, “Let's go.”
After a while Yuri came out of the changing room and Yugo's jaw dropped open. Yuri wore a full-on dress. The top was ruffled and basically sleeveless with lavender ribbons making a corset-like pattern. A short expanse of lavender fabric circled Yuri's waist before blooming into a gray plaid skirt that fell to his knees. The gray fabric was dotted with dark purple roses and light purple carnations. The skirt was split at the side with another purple ribbon. Another ribbon was tied in the fusion user's violet locks, just above his ear. Yuri's stockings were the same pattern as the skirt, extending up to his mid-thigh before ending with a pair of lacy garters. A pair of simple white flats covered Yuri's dainty feet. A final purple ribbon was wrapped around his left arm from his elbow to his wrist, accentuating how slender his limbs were. As he walked across the room Yugo saw that his eyelids were darkened by lavender eye shadow and his full lips were shiny with gloss. It gave him the appearance of a porcelain doll. Even is hair had been curled slightly.
“Are you ready to go now?” Yugo asked.
Yuri snickered behind one perfectly manicured hand, “I am but you're not.” Yugo blanched as Yuri sat him down before a mirror with make-up in hand.
“Now hold still and don't move,” Yuri ordered, “If you struggle then this will take longer. So close your eyes and let me work.”
Yugo sighed and did as he was told. Yuri fussed with his hair for a while before leaving one side in what felt like a curler. Then he turned his attention to Yugo's face. Yuri's touch on Yugo's skin was surprisingly gentle, tenderly brushing over his eyes, his cheeks, even his lips.
Then he patted Yugo's shoulders, “You can look now. You did very well for your first time with make-up. Most boys put up a fight.” Yugo opened his eyes slowly and his jaw dropped, which Yuri closed with a hand under his chin. The person in the mirror couldn't be him. The right side of his bangs was curled into a perfect spiral. His eyes were accentuated by light blue eye shadow. His cheeks were a rosy pink.
“How did you even manage this?” Yugo breathed, completely in awe.
Yuri basked in the praise, “I'm just that talented I suppose. Now shall we head out on the town my dear?”
Yugo looked up to see Yuri with a single hand extended to him. He took the offered hand and stood up next to Yuri. The plum haired boy latched onto Yugo's arm, hugging it close to his chest. Yugo blushed at the proximity between them.
“W-What are you doing?” he stammered, looking down at the other boy. Yuri looked back with a twinkle of mischief in his eyes, “I'm making sure no one else tries to steal my beautiful date from me. You make quite the catch.”
Yugo flushed deeper at that comment. “Don't joke like that you jerk,” he growled, “There's no way any idiot is going to flirt with me.”
Yuri smirked at the sky-and-sunshine haired boy, “Oh I beg to differ my dear Fusion. As far as any guy on the street is concerned, they'll be all over you as soon as they lay eyes on you. Such a naive young lady would be easy prey for them. But don't you worry your pretty little head. I'll fend those brutes off for you.”
Yugo gave his companion a worried look, “I hope you're being serious and not just yanking my chain.” Yuri's eyes turned sharp and dangerous. “I'd like to see them try to get anywhere near you,” he snarled, “I'll show them that it's the prettiest flowers that hide the sharpest of thorns and the deadliest of poisons.” Yuri then fished out his phone, “But first, a picture to commemorate this occasion.” Yugo rolled his eyes as Yuri pressed himself against Yugo's side.
“Smile~,” he cooed.
Yugo let a shy smile cross his lips. Then, all of a sudden, Yuri pressed his own lips to Yugo's cheek in a kiss. As Yugo's expression morphed into one of surprise, Yuri quickly snapped the picture and pranced a few steps back. “Yep,” he sang with a smile, “That one's a keeper for sure.” He turned the screen to Yugo, showing off the picture. The moment of realization was evident on Yugo's face and Yuri's lips were still pressed to his cheek.
“What was that for?” the synchro duelist yelped, holding his burning cheek, as if Yuri's touch had burned him. The fusion user simply snickered, “I was only laying claim to what's mine.”
Yugo's blush darkened to abysmal crimson, “What do you mean 'lay claim to what's yours”?” Yuri smirked and snaked his arms around Yugo's waist, reeling the stuttering boy flush against him. “It's just what I said,” he whispered huskily, “I'm claiming what's mine.” The plum haired boy planted another kiss to Yugo's nose, sending the flustered boy into another sputtering fit.
After he had a chance to calm down, Yugo stared into Yuri's mulberry eyes. He was startled to see the depth of affection in those eyes. He sighed and mirrored Yuri's hold on him, putting his arms around the other boy's waist and holding him close.
“Let's go Yuri,” he said, moving toward the door and holding out his arm for Yuri to hold onto. Yuri's eyes sparkled as he hugged Yugo's arm to his chest once more,
“Okay. I promise I'll show you a good time.”
Yugo looked thoughtfully at the smile on his companion's face. Then he leaned over and captured Yuri's lips with his own, thoroughly startling the other boy. Yuri relaxed into the kiss, shifting his arms around Yugo's neck. They stayed like that for a few moments before the need for oxygen overpowered them.
“Personally, I think the guys are more likely to go after you rather than me,” Yugo panted after he caught his breath, “After all, you're much better-looking than I am. Since you know how to act in this sort of outfit and I don't.”
Yuri shook his head, “You're more of a natural in that outfit. Plus, your first reaction if someone flirts with you is to get shy and embarrassed. Mine is to flirt back.” Yugo let one hand rest on Yuri's hip, “Then I guess we'll have to look out for each other.” That got Yuri to really smile, “I think Yuto took Yuya out today as well. Shall we see if we can find them?” Yugo nodded and followed Yuri out the door.
The outing wasn't all bad. Though Yugo wasn't sure what to make the hungry looks guys were giving him. He'd seen them look at Yuri like that before but it was rather uncomfortable for him. But Yuri kept his promise. Whenever one of the boys tried to approach Yugo Yuri would send the unfortunate soul a searing glare, daring them to try to steal the blond-blunette from him. And when they tried the same thing with Yuri Yugo would pull the plum haired boy close to his side. The pair found Yuto and Yuya sitting at a cafe. They both walked up behind Yuto, motioning for Yuya to keep quiet. Then they threw their arms around the dark duelist shoulders. Yuto let out a startled yelp, indicating that the pair had successfully surprised him.
“Gotcha,” Yuri whispered into the onyx eyed duelist's ear.
Yuya snickered along with Yugo and Yuri at Yuto's reaction. Then the entertainer's attention shifted to Yugo. “Wow!” he said with a smile, “You look really good in that outfit Yugo. Stylish.” Yugo blushed at the compliment but Yuri beat him to answering.
“Of course he looks good. I wouldn't settle for anything less,” the plum haired boy huffed, sidling up to Yugo and latching onto his arm once more. Yugo sighed but curled his arm to give Yuri a little squeeze.
“Looks like you two are getting along better,” Yuto smirked, “I was sure that you would be at each other's throats by now.”
Yugo shared a knowing glance with Yuri, who then shared one with Yuya. Yuya snickered slightly and nodded. The tomato haired boy held up a single white sphere. He bowed with a flourish and threw it at his feet. A plume of white smoke obscured Yuya from view. As his silhouette came into view he moved over to Yugo and Yuri, hiding behind them. Yuto seemed confused, trying to look around to see why he was hiding. But the other two blocked his view. Then all three of them approached him at once. Yugo settled behind Yuto, holding him in place. Yuri stood before him, giving a dainty curtsy. Then he stepped aside and took a spot next to Yugo on Yuto's other side. But Yuto's attention was focused solely on the boy before him. Yuya was clad in a sundress. The top was ruffled around the collar and the sleeves were slightly puffy. It had a sort of corset-like waist with a white rose on the side. Then it blossomed out into a crimson plaid skirt that only fell to mid-thigh and had a single strip of white lace near the hem. Yuya wore a pair of pale white socks that cut off at his ankles and white flats decorated with red ribbons. The socks exposed a generous expanse of Yuya's creamy thighs to Yuto's eager eyes. A white headband with a large white rose sat atop the boy's scarlet and emerald locks. As he walked, Yuto could only watch as those slender hips swayed before his eyes, enticing and alluring. Though Yuto wasn't the only one who thought so. From the corners of his eyes Yuto could see almost ever other male's eyes lock onto the adorable entertainer. But Yuya remained oblivious to this fact. He was more interested in Yuto's reactions. Yuto abruptly stood up, shaking off both Yuri and Yugo's grip on his shoulders. Then he strode over until he stood only inches from Yuya. He gripped his long, black cloak and wrapped it around the pendulum duelist, holding him close to his chest and hiding him from all the stares of  other males in the area.
“You shouldn't carelessly expose yourself like that Yuya,” Yuto whispered, “You might give someone the wrong impression. Even I'm having a hard time restraining myself right now.”
Yuya cocked his head to the side curiously, “Restraining yourself? From what?”
Yuto held Yuya closer and leaned down to whisper in his ear, “From dragging you back home and into the bedroom. You're very tempting in that outfit. Even my resolve has its limits.” Yuya's face flushed red all of a sudden,
“Did you maybe consider that perhaps that was my intention?”
Yuto's onyx eyes widened at that comment. Yuya looked up at the boy holding him, like a knight defending a princess, “I'm not as innocent and naive as you think.” He pressed closer to the amethyst haired duelist. Then he pulled his shirt open slightly. Yuto's face burned at the sight before him. Through that tiny gap, black, silky fabric edged with rich purple lace peeked out at him. Yuya's crimson eyes were playful and hopeful as he smiled up at Yuto.
“And just in case you were wondering, the curtains do match the drapes,” he smirked suggestively, “Care to come and see for yourself?”
Yuto didn't answer. He just simply scooped Yuya into his arms, earning him a surprised yelp from the tomato haired boy, and proceeded to carry him down the street towards their shared flat. He waved over his shoulder at the other two and left.
“Well then,” Yuri snickered, “I think that went rather well. Yuya's in for a long night it would seem.”
Yugo tilted his head, “What do you mean by that?” Yuri sighed at Yugo's naivety. He tapped a finger to his chin in thought,
“Hmm. How to put this? Well, Yuto has been pining after Yuya for ages. I figured at this rate his patience would run out eventually. I just...helped them along.”
Yugo smiled at the plum haired male beside him. Then he wrapped his arms around the shorter male, “Are you satisfied with your meddling now?” Yuri smirked and curled up under Yugo's chin,
“Did you have something more entertaining in mind?”
Yugo's grip slid down so his hands caressed Yuri's slender hips before circling his waist tightly, “I may have a few ideas.” Yuri smiled gently, holding out his hand, “Then will you take me home then my brave prince?” Yugo smiled gently as he took the offered hand, bringing it to his lips, “I do believe I will my beloved flower.” Yuri giggled as he wrapped his arms around Yugo's bicep,
“Well then lead the way my love.”
Yugo smirked, “ I think I can do better than that.” He tucked his arms under Yuri's knees and back and lifted him off the ground, being mindful not to give anyone around them an up-skirt peek. Then he strutted off down the street, cuddling the adorable plum haired boy in his arms.

Belle Ballgown - Live Action Version
Welcome back! Another entry about the Belle Ballgown, this is the last one I swear XD  Today I will show you the Live Action Version as well, made more or less around the same time of the other BJD Belle dress. (You will find it here in my Etsy Shop)
Tumblr media
I admit that I do not like this dress so much, even the movie was not so great in my opinion, but as I am a huge Beauty and the Beast fan I decided to give it a try anyway! I am sorry but I really can’t picture Emma Watson as Belle, even if she’s a great actress and her acting was good during the whole movie, but I really did enjoy the castle and the Gaston character as well, I am really looking foward the see the new mini-season about him and Letont on Disney+.
As I never had the request to make this Cosplay before I did some research for shapes and materials to be sure to choose the right pattern....and I end up  making another new pattern again XD (You can find this pattern in my Etsy shop as well)
As you can see is bit more shaped that the previuos one and gets up to the shoulders, this time I drew two princess seams in the front and two in the back for a total of 11 pieces. I decided to make a new pattern instead of using the previous Belle corset pattern because of the shoulders and the pleated sections on the corset, but I admit that I do not follow the movie shape exactly because of the smallest size. (i.e. the organdy ruffles "corner” on the back as you will see in the next pictures)
Tumblr media
For this corset I use the same materials as the previuos Belle Ballgown, yellow satin and yellow organdy, and the making of it was pretty much similar to the other one.
I started with the corset: I made only 7 pieces for the lining layer, joining together the extra princess seams, to avoid too much seams on the inside. Then before moving to assembling the fashion layer I started pleating the organdy on the front center piece. (I decided to pleat the vertical sections directly on the corset once it will be assembled) Toooo many seams for a corset soooo small!!
Tumblr media
I do not take (again :( ) any pictures during the making of so I will show you the finished corset and the skirt right below. I made a stripe of organdy with 4 pleats on each side, from front to back along the shoulders. I hide the usual velcro fastener between the pleats on the back (you will see later on) then I sew 4 loose stripes of organdy on the back of the dress. As I said before I did not follow exactly the original design as the back piece was too small, and also I cannot make the wavy edges on the organdy because it was fraying too much :(
I hope you like how it turned out! I think is the most similar I can achieve with such a small corset! I enjoyed studying this dress soo much that I will probably make a summer dress for myself following this design! I will have a couple of events this summer so it may be done sooner or later...
Tumblr media
And this is the final combination corset-skirt, what do you think? I do not have much organdy left so I need to make smaller skirts unfortunately but I think the result is quite good (and as you can see I did only two layers of organdy instead of three in the skirt)
Tumblr media
And this is the final dress! I added the golden decorations on the hems with Photoshop this time because during the pandemic I cannot buy the right textile pen to draw them, I will probabily do in the future if I sell this dress.
Tumblr media
And this is the final reveal!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
...as well as some flat pictures!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I hope you like this version as well! Let me know what do you think, and if you have any questions about this dress fell free to ask!
See you on Thursday with another BJD set..I think! I have not decided yet!
Chiara (StregaCorvina)
Bentornati!
Tumblr media
Ed ecco l’abito completo!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
...e alcune foto dei singoli capi!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Spero che vi piaccia anche questa versione! Fatemi sapere che ne pensate e se avete qualche domanda sono a vostra disposizione!!
Ci vediamo Giovedi con un nuovo post su un set per BJD...credo! Non ho ancora deciso XD

How To Dress To Look Slimmer
Stop rubbing the bottle for the genie to magically appear and make you look slimmer for the big date night tomorrow. Because I’ve tried that, sister, and it doesn’t work. But, I can tell you what does. You need a few hacks up your sleeve to create an illusion that does what you are looking for.
Without further delay, let’s go right into it to discuss tips and hacks that I wish I had known earlier. But, I’m happy for you though!
How To Dress To Not Look Fat – 10 Dressing Tips To Look Slimmer
1. Layer It Up
Image: iStock
Let me just break this myth once and for all. People think that adding more layers means adding extra pounds, but that’s really not true. Adding layers gives your body definition. Plus, it does not give people a direct view of your body. If anything, it is a blessing!
2. Black Be Your BFF
Image: iStock
Everything about your wardrobe has to be black. I understand the love for cool whites and pastels, however, just keep it all dark and black as much as possible.
3. Body Compressors/Shapewear
Image: Shutterstock
Swear by shapewear; it’s a blessing in disguise. It tames fat around the midriff, hip, and thigh regions effectively. And it also acts as a catalyst to make you look slimmer. Invest in it, and you will be thankful.
4. High Rise Jeans
Image: Shutterstock
High-waist jeans should be on your hit list because they tuck in most of the flab and do a great job of making you look slender, tall, and slim. The ones that are black, stretchable, and stop near your ankle are what you need. Fetch those straight-cut high-rise jeans!
5. Inner Wear
Image: Shutterstock
Inner wear is a big part of this puzzle and is the base for everything you will build over. Do not wear a sloppy bra and thongs that add more attention to your muffin tops. Wear a bra that gives you full coverage, without bulges; your underwear should preferably be stretchable and high rise to camouflage the flab. Either way, good undergarments are helpful in more ways than one and are always a great investment.
6. Accessories
Image: Shutterstock
Wear statement jewelry and beef up your look with details like a necklace, earrings, scarf, bandana, watch, etc. It steers the attention away from anything unflattering. If you are wearing shapewear, also consider belts that are dark and massive or svelte and that cinch at the waist.
7. Prints And Patterns
Image: iStock
Avoid anything with horizontal prints, be it big or small. Vertical print dresses with deep necks are your go-to if you want to look slimmer and taller. And, patterns like A-line cut or a pencil skirt can seal the deal for you.
8. Matching Separates
Image: iStock
Matching your separates instead of wearing matching sets is a trick of the trade. Especially colors like black, blue, gray or anything dark.
9. Proportions
Image: iStock
Wearing a loose shirt or a top with fitted trousers works toward your advantage. You could also try the opposite, but avoid that if your midriff is your pain area. Also, body hugging clothes are a big no-no.
10. Posture
Image: Shutterstock
And last, but not the least, everything will fall flat if you do not have the right posture. It makes a lot of difference to your silhouette, so pay attention to it.
What Colors Make You Look Thinner?
Image: Shutterstock
The answer to this is invariably black or dark colors, because nothing slims your figure down as much as black does. Luckily, for most of us, it is our favorite color too. Also, try the monochrome look – it works.
What Clothes Make You Tall And Slim?
Image: Shutterstock
Wearing vertical stripes will make you look thin. A legacy that has been passed on by the fashion legends. Having said that, you do not have to shy away from horizontal designs as long as they are not body hugging. Small printed dresses, polka dotted tops, self-design tunics dresses, and flouncy maxi dresses are all exciting options that make you look tall and slim.
Outfit Ideas – Clothes That Make You Look Slimmer
1. High-Rise Jeans And Flowing Top
Image: Source
It is a given that high rise jeans with a straight cut can trick the eyes into giving you an elongated look. Keep the top flowing and slightly loose, but not too loose either. Loose boyfriend T-shirts and tank tops with a plaid shirt and jeans are your other options.
2. Long Black Dress Or An LBD To Your Rescue
Image: Shutterstock
We have stated this over and over again – anything in black gets full thumbs up. When we say black, we also mean the little black dress. If you are too conscious, get shapewear and pointed footwear instead of broad wedges. You will thank us later.
3. Do A Lot Of Shirts, They Make You Look Slimmer
Image: Shutterstock
Rock that plaid shirt with jeans or jeggings, but size matters. Shirts that are either too big or too small can spoil it for you.
4. Pencil Skirts That Give You An Elongated Look
Image: Shutterstock
If there is one stylish outfit that can make you look dapper and relatively thinner, it is the pencil skirt. You just have to pair it with a well-fitted (not too tight nor loose) shirt or a chiffon top, and throw on a statement neck piece. It never fails you!
5. Here Are Your Options For Bridesmaids’ Dresses
Image: Shutterstock
Consider corset style gowns or A-line cut dresses that cinch near the waist and balloon out below. If you are conscious about your arms, get yours customized with sleeves of any length to add definition and detailing. It makes a lot of difference to your overall body outline. Again, the trick that works wonders for any one piece dress is to wear the right shapewear inside.
6. Some Cocktail Or Evening Dresses Can Even Make You Look Skinny
Image: Shutterstock
For evening dresses, try color blocking, especially in dark colors. Also, go with deep V-necks and side and center slits that can distract people. Since most prom dresses come in lace, tulle or sheer fabrics, try the ones that come with inbuilt spandex. Yes, those can be saviors.
7. Transform Your Curvy Body Into An Hourglass Figure With This Combination
Image: Shutterstock
If you want to look like you have been magically dropping sizes overnight and fake an hourglass figure, try the deep V-neck body-slimming dresses that are snug yet not skin tight. You know the kind of dresses women in media wear. Try one of these and thank us later.
Curvy women or some of us who are not-so-confident about our bodies tend to have a lot of mind blocks and miss out on a lot of fashionable clothing just because of this. Don’t just give in to it, there are always workarounds and hacks that you can resort to. Lastly, we do not have to submit ourselves into what is considered beautiful, but learn to work with our bodies with confidence! Hoping this article helped you. Feel free to drop in a comment if you have any more questions.

It won’t always appear on the runway as a statement piece but it will remain a fashion staple.
A fad, on the other hand, is a piece that makes a grand entrance on the runway and gets all the attention, but as soon as the next season hits, the only reaction it will receive is faces of horror.
Confused by what’s fashionable right now? Fear not.
Here, I will reveal 10 catwalk trends for the Spring/Summer 2017 season and whether they’re classic or fads.
Stripes – Classic
On the Fendi runway (Picture: Antonio de Moraes Barros Filho/WireImage)
Stripes are always there somewhere and no matter what size and shape you are, there is a pattern for you.
Vertical stripes help to elongate the figure and horizontal ones highlight the waist.
For maternity mommas, the verticals help slim down the bump and add length to the rest of the body.
Ruffles – Fad
Alexander McQueen’s Spring/Summer 2017 ready-to-wear collection (Picture: FRANCOIS GUILLOT/AFP/Getty Images)
Ruffles will come and go on the runways but they are ultimately a fad.
It’s worth adding a few pieces to the wardrobe but choose well – a ruffle in an odd place can leave you looking weird or larger than life.
Bralettes – Classic
On the Prada runway (Picture: Antonio de Moraes Barros Filho/WireImage via Getty)
This wouldn’t have been a classic a few years ago but they are now around every season.
Choose a bralette that’s appropriate to your breast size, though – hanging out isn’t a good look.
Neon – Fad
At Salvatore Ferragamo (Picture: Antonio de Moraes Barros Filho/WireImage via Getty)
You either love or hate it but if used effectively, neon can look super awesome.
A statement neon dress that’s well accessorised looks great, but to be quite honest, it’s probably all the neon you need.
Kitten heels – Classic
Shoe detail at Sportmax (Picture: Estrop/Getty Images)
Kitten heels offer an alternative for those who don’t like heels.
They are also great for tilting the calves for a slimmer look.
80s – Fad
80s vibe at Gucci (Picture Victor Boyko/Getty Images)
Slouchy off the shoulder tops, spandex leggings, big shoulders and puffball sleeved are back, for now.
For a really out there silhouette, try puffball sleeves with a big, flared out skirt to balance the hips, finished with a waist cincher.
Sportswear – Classic
On the runway at Versace (Picture: Getty)
Sportswear designs are getting creative and fun with prints and silhouettes being featured.
Right now, tied sleeves on sweatshirts are in.
Forget wearing the look for workouts and have fun with your sportswear this season.
Waist cincher – Fad
At the Wunderkind designed by Wolfgang Joop show (Picture: Estrop/Getty Images)
These are not the cute waist belts that bring in the tidy hourglass shape but the corset-style cinchers.
While they look glamorous, the corset always dies at the end of season.
If you are a corset fan then make the most of it but don’t go overboard with the purchases.
Khaki – Classic
At the Kenzo designed by Carol Lim and Humberto Leon show (Picture: Estrop/Getty Images)
Khaki is a gorgeous neutral colour that is completely timeless.
It looks stunning when paired with nudes, greys and blacks so it’s always worth stocking up.
Robes – Fad
The Lacoste version (Picture: Getty)
If it looks like a trench then it might be workable but if it resembles a dressing gown, stay far, far away.
Unless it’s bed time.
