unpopular opinion: i really like all the dating in repcomm, the clones deserve nice romances and happy relationships that aren't limited to their brothers. i LOVE the platonic brotherly squad relationships, but almost all of them get that by default and them finding a good romantic partner is something i will never get sick of

lmao of course the clones deserve all the good things!! I’m just really not a fan of romantic subplots that appear out of nowhere especially when there aren’t many female characters to begin with, and the important ones have to be in a romantic relationship. It’s cliché and predictable. I like Dartain because it was built up well (im having mixed feelings rn tho) and Laseema/Atin I actually found funny and the lil pieces about them made me laugh despite this appearing out of nowhere, but then Ordo/Bes suddenly happened without warning and got shoved in mn face n idk most just makes me roll my eyes. And why’s there gotta be only f/m relationships (I still have like 2,7 books to go but i heard that its straight as heck)But what can I say I barely ship anything lol gimme those good platonic relationships. I actually find the relationships between the clones much more interesting then any of the romance, but I am glad you are enjoying it !

They’re on the ‘villains’ side but honestly they think they’re fighting for the right cause and view the good guys of the plot as the bad guys. Rather, Avatar cares.... Dartain is just an amnesiac who is attached to Avatar and does what he wants (most of the time).

#my characters #these boys are from like... 2005 so i forget what avatar's power was but dartain has cat like abilities and reflexes wow so hard to guess #i wish i could find the sketchbook they're in cause i know what it looks like but i JUST CANT FIND IT? ugh so frustrating #i found a singular sheet of printer paper with their doodles and was immediately like GOTTA REDRAW THEM O:#also avatar tries to act distant because before dartain lost his memories they were nearly inseparable and #he doesnt want to lose that friendship again so he's a lot more cold towards dartain and hates the attachment cause it really hurts #to have someone nearby who doesnt even remember that they were best friends #so dartain is convinced that avatar doesnt like him but still feels best around him so he sticks pretty close to the other guy :u

So I found one of my old references for Rem lying around and wanted to draw him. He’s the one that wipes Dartain’s memories. He’s also the youngest member of the organization (like teenage young).

On a completely unrelated note, I have now seen Ant-Man 7 times.

If he actually managed to not get caught originally, he’d try to get Avatar to join him in defecting. He’d definitely try to do what he considered the right thing, even if it meant taking his boss on personally. But.... he’s not that bright and would probably end up getting caught/found out no matter what and possibly endanger Avatar. But yeah, he definitely would’ve changed sides.

(also side note that Rem is a memory manipulator and is considered a tool by the boss and the one who wipes Dartain’s memories. Although Rem knows how manipulative and evil the boss is, he feels trapped and doesn’t ever speak out about it or tell anyone and allows himself to be used)

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE ASK ;w; I’m glad people seem to like these two. I think I drew them more than the good guys honestly... and the rest of the organization.... like I played heavy favorites with these two.

#my characters #in the organization though there were 'pairs' and dartain/avatar were one #rem had a partner as well but the partner had no idea what was really going on and constantly had his memories adjusted #and then there was this other pair that was myo and yuma and myo was really smart with technology and devices but lacked people skills #yuma was a sweet girl who really admired myo and myo hated that because he had developed a device that allowed him to control her #and it amplified her light type powers under his control so he felt too guilty and felt useless #and he tried to tell her about what he was doing and she said that everything would work out in the end and to just keep doing his best #and never heard him out entirely - just encouraged him #there was also a half vampire girl but she was kind of different in that she wasn't really sided with either group?#she just kinda did as she pleased and that's about all i remember #oh and her name was ravellatrix and she just went by rave lol #my naming skills have been garbage since day one lets be real #god this plot had too many characters i want to cry its so hard to remember them all and i want that sketchbook with all of em #oh rems partner was named keil or kiel i can't actually remember oops #basically everyone was manipulating someone or being manipulated and no one except Rem caught on and stayed aware #i dont even know how i remember all these names wow it was so long ago....
