This is the anon who sent the ask about which ships have beef. And yes. WHEN (not if, I have to believe when) we get a Thai bl actor bl I really hope it’s enemies to lovers. Not just cause it’s my fave trope. But also the comedic potential!!! Like I’d want it to be more of a drama personally speaking, but with a good dose of comedy sprinkled in.

So picture this. We open with 2 actors on a stage, a shit ton of fans in the audience screaming and oohing and awing. There’s an interviewer asking them stuff. And both are like “I love X/Y so much. He’s my closest friend.” “I could never imagine doing a romance without X.” You know all the cheesy shit. We also get hand holding, maybe one of them gets extra spicy and climbs into the other’s lap, or one of them picks the other up. I want full fan service, the wild type of fan service. You know the pairs I’m thinking of. So anyway, this whole interview paints a picture of these 2 actors being super close, and very good friends. Maybe something more… 😏 THEN. They exit the stage, arms around each other. They get behind the curtain, and both yank away like they’ve been scalded, and glare at each other.

“You didn’t have to actually hold my hand!”

“Well you didn’t have to pick me up! I don’t want to be carried!!!!”

And on and and on they bicker, and pick each other apart, until they’re both storming off.

I think they shouldn’t already be an established pair, with a series or two under their belt and an established fanbase. They’re popular.

Now of course we have many options for how the two get together and discover their feelings for each other. Maybe one is a bit softer for the other and always a bit kinder, and just makes the other one soften up over time. (This reminds me of OffGun, so I’m partial to this scenario)

We also have the jealousy scenario (which doesn’t have to contradict the above scenario, there can be both). Maybe for the current bl they are shooting there’s a love triangle. And one of the guys on screen has a sort of relationship with the other dude. Flirting, touching, you know, love triangle stuff. And irl the two get on great! And other guy is hot and sweet, and very much similar to the partner, but nicer! And maybe a little bit more good looking, a little bit more buff, etc etc. The partner goes wild with jealousy. And has no idea what to do with these feelings. Like excuse me what? I hate this guy. But also I want to cry and pull my hair out seeing him with this other guy, and what if he leaves me for him as his new partner?!? Little does he know is his partner feels nothing for new guy. Like yeah he’s nice and all, and objectively pretty attractive, but he doesn’t feel that pull and excitement like he does with his partner. If only his partner liked him 🥺

I’m kind of over discovering your sexuality in bls tbh (though I know it can be important to some people, just I’ve seen it so many times), but I think for this show it would be good for one of them to think they’re straight and realize at some point, oh shit I’m not. Hu. Oh THATS WHY IVE ALWAYS LIKED QUEER SHOWS. THATS WHY I WANTED TO DO BL. Ooooooh. That makes so much sense! And their partner is like… yeah duh. I’ve seen you get worked up about gay rights to the point of TEARS. I haven’t even gotten so worked up and I’m gay!!!!
