Introducing Outlast Trials Early Access Anniversary Collaboration Event !
This event will focus on Reagents and Murkoff Members drawn by multiple artists !
How does the event works ?
You will draw the characters you have picked Prime Assets, Ex-pops, Reagents, Denizens), coloured with minimum bust-up (Half-body and Full body is welcomed). The characters will have party theme and accesories, such as cake, party hat, confetti, party horn, etc.
The canon characters choice are based from "first come first serve". One canon character (PA, Ex-pops, Denizens) can only be drawn by one artist. it is recommended to have a second option for another canon characters to draw.
You are allowed to draw both Reagents and one canon character you have picked. You can also draw Reagents only.
There's no limit on how many Reagents you can submit, you are allowed to put as many as reagents of yours in the event.
OCs are only allowed for Reagents.
Once it has finished, you can submit the transparent image in the event-submission via image or link. As for traditional art, please make sure the art has white background.
After all finished, i will compile all the drawings into one image.
Then i will post it on Instagram, Twitter, and Tumblr. So please provide your social media account for me to tag you as credit.
You are allowed to post your finished art even before the collab is posted

- 17 April : The opening of participation. The form will be opened until the deadline so Artist can enroll anytime they want as long they are able to finish the art before the deadline. - 18 April - 14 May : Time to finish the artwork. Artist can submit anytime they want in these weeks
- 15 May : This is the deadline of the submission form
- 16 May : This is the very last day to submit your art incase you still need additional day. However you - have tell the admin first about it.
- 17 May : Preparing for the Collaboration result.
- 18 May : Posting the Collab result ! Since im using GMT+7 Timezone, the collab may be posted in 19 May instead

note: i am trying something a bit different this year, so bear with me as i figure out how i want to format this. i wanted to spend more time sharing what i consume, beyond what i rb, and put my thoughts in one place. these posts are okay to rb

When We Cease to Understand the World, Benjamín Labatut [started 02/24, finished 03/14] What an outstanding example of blurring the lines between fiction and reality. I am content in never knowing what’s real and imaginary in the lives of these people. May we never forget that for every new idea challenged, there is a real person with real emotions and motivations behind it. 4.25⭐️ in storygraph. — No Stopping Us Now: A History of Older Women in America, Gail Collins [started 03/03, finished 03/30] This book makes some strong points, but comes off weak in its execution. By having it be told decade by decade, it becomes hard to follow along when so many names and events are being tossed around. Without a firm thread tying all the themes together, the achievements ended up feeling lackluster when it should leave you feeling a sense of pride and hopefulness. 3.25⭐️ in storygraph (I rounded up, but it feels more like a 3.15)
23.5 Degrees, GMMTV [started: 03/08, ongoing] What a breath of fresh air!! With my busy schedule, I managed to catch the first two eps and I’ve loved every minute of it. It doesn’t take itself too seriously, while still keeping a tight grip on its sense of identity. The series soaks up every aspect of its space theme like a sponge. Content specifically made for me, tysm! As much as I have tried refraining from consuming more high school settings, I couldn’t help but be enamored by what I have seen so far. I have paused this series for now, but hopefully I’ll be caught up before the end of April. I should be able to watch it live on Fridays in May. Until then, I will miss them dearly! — Always a Witch, Netflix [started 03/28, in progress] At this time, I have only seen episodes 1-5. So far, it’s a very straight-forward series. I am restraining myself from calling it predictable, because there are one or two things that really turns some tropes/themes on its head. But all-in-all, I am still waiting for this show to grab me. For a show that checks all the boxes that really makes a core jessi show, a series with time travel, magical realism, and found family, it has yet to completely sweep me away. Time really got away from me this month, but I will finish this series sometime in the next two weeks. We shall see if the latter half gets better.
Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) [watched 03/15 thru 03/18] I have seen this live and did see the original film in theaters last year, so this experience was more of a rewatch. This time around, my parents wanted to watch some of it with me so we made a whole evening of it on 3/15 so that was really neat. I will be traveling a lot in April and will be taking an audio copy of this to keep me entertained. — Oscar Nomination Season [started 02/17, ended 03/24] All of my initial reactions of what I managed to cover this Oscar season is in this post. Some of the strongest categories I have had the pleasure of covering this year were the Best Documentary (feature), Best Production Design, Best Live Action Short, Best Documentary (short), and Best Animated Film. I have several more films to tackle later this year, but my overall impression this Oscar season was just alright. One or two films have hit an extremely high note for me, but no worst of the worst.
BEYONCÉ, Beyoncé [relistening] During the pandemic, I really got into waching YT reaction channels reacting to full albums. One of my favorites is HTHaze and he is only beginning his listening journey through Beyoncé’s discography (yes, for the first time!) His reaction to Beyoncé’s self-titled made me want to relisten to it in full for the first time in years. I tend to only revisit a few songs through the years, but I do love going back to albums after time has past to recontextualize everything all over again. I’ve had my longtime faves from my 20’s but in my mid-30’s, the songs that hit harder now are: Pretty Hurts, Haunted, and Jealous. — Bewitched, Laufey [first time listening] The same YT channel got me to listen to this album. I am guilty in having my first listen be through his video first before diving into her album properly. With that said, the brain rot went FULL ROT. I love LOVE her compositions. Having learned from her Tiny Desk that getting a grand piano influenced the way she wrote her songs makes the whole conception so much grander. Her voice is soooo, it’s SOOOOO !!!!!!! I read a comment somewhere that her dream is to rejuvenate jazz the same way Taylor Swift did with country for a younger generation and that really spoke to me. I truly believe she is heading in the right direction in achieving that. My favorite run of songs goes from: Haunted, Must Be Love, While You Were Sleeping, Lovesick, California and Me, Nocturne (Interlude), and Promise. Those seven songs in that succession is so GOOD, ahH! — Once the Musical [relistening] Every spring, I fall into a Once spiral and it just gets deeper and deeper. This time though, I only tackled the core faves on YT rather than committing to the full audio (w/ Arthur Darvill and Joanna Christie). Although Arthur Darvill’s Leave will forever solidify his Guy as my Guy, Declan Bennett is The Guy of Guys for me. My mandatory relistening experience always goes: Arthur’s Leave, Arthur’s Say It To Me Now, Declan’s Say It To Me Now, Declan’s When Your Mind’s Made Up, Zrinka's If You Want Me, Once’s Spotify Jam Session. And it would all be on a loop lol. — Cowboy Carter, Beyoncé [first time listening] This is still fresh in my mind, having only listened to it in its entirety once through. My first impression is that it’s one of her most cohesive albums to date. Having had the first taste of what she would eventually achieve all the way back with Lemonade and The Gift, Cowboy Carter feels like a natural progression in her discography. I don’t have a top songs list to provide at this time, as I would need more time with the album. Fav songs come with time. Although, I did listen to 16 CARRIAGES when it was released several weeks ago and I knew then it would be a spectacular album. What a phenomenal single to lead a phenomenal homecoming.
Where’d You Go Bernadette, written by Maria Semple and narrated by Kathleen Wilhoite [started 03/22, finished 03/29] I… I didn’t like this. And that’s alright. Even if I didn’t like the premise or the characters, I did enjoy the format of the narrative and the narrator (especially her singing!!). But in the end, this was just not meant for me.

As it is still March when I am writing this, I wanted to endcap Women’s Month with a special shoutout to two women in my life that have been working with me to improve my overall well-being: Wendy (personal trainer) and Sofia (life coach). I am in a better headspace because of the work and trust they have in me to build a life I want. I cannot wait to see what I am capable of this time next year.

About the Players:
Pokémon Violet is being played by one-half of a dynamic duo (Taz/Trina of tazsaintsart) while Pokémon Sword is being played by the other half (Hope, aka gleaming_hope). Since our respective games are new to us, and we wanted to share our thoughts and quips and feelings on these games through the eyes of our youngest characters, Alex and Max.
Additionally, we have the support of our friends Dia (@diamondphantom) and Alyss (@calicowitchling) who are assisting Taz with filling in character tones on story posts~!
FAQ:
Q: Is there a set posting schedule?
A: Hell no. Making a schedule and deadlines is the quickest way to destroy my motivation to draw. The pressure turns into anxiety which turns into guilt which turns into shame and then nobody gets anything fun anymore.
Q: Sword's old! Why would you include it?
A: Because it's new to Hope (OP's husbando) and he has his own quirky sense of humour worth sharing too. Besides, it means more story posts for you and I feel it's a great counterbalance to the story of Violet.
Q: Will you include the DLC?
A: Eventually! Gotta' finish the main story first!
Q: Is it just me, or is the scaling/heights between characters a bit wonky?
A: It's not you! The in-game player charas skewed my perception so it took me a while to figure out character heights that I could use consistently, so Alex might seem shorter than he should be in earlier posts, while Max was a bit bigger than he was meant to be.
Q: What's this 'Lato' thing I keep seeing mentioned?
A: Lato is a fan region based on Poland, created by this blog's art assistant @diamondphantom~ In Alex's canon/backstory, he had a particularly lengthy school trip through the region four years prior to Paldea. It doesn't really affect the current story beyond showing that Alex has had a significant mood shift in the four years since the school trip.
Q: Will you draw '_____'?
A: Maybe, maybe not! Aside from a set motivation for the boys, posts will just be whatever we feel like sharing.
Q: Can I suggest ideas, or submit my own work to this blog?

Recently, I started seeing this post floating around and it got me thinking.
How old is MePhone?
This post ended up pretty long so I put it under a read more, haha.
TLDR: Due to the lack of information, I couldn’t find a clear answer, however with a lot of assumptions, I concluded he’s 3 years old!
I suppose to figure that out we’d have to figure out:
1. How much time passes between each episode;
2. How much time passed between seasons;
And for future reference:
3. Whether the other S2 episodes (that we haven’t seen yet) are happening alongside S3 or after it.
I decided to handle each problem individually as to not lose my mind. :P
The first thing I could think of was the asks Taylor has answered in the past (here and here) but they boil down to “Unless it’s important, we never really thought or cared about it”.
Ok, that’s... a little disappointing. But you know what? Whatever! I’ll overthink things then! I can work with this.
So based on how the characters talk in season 1, the episodes seem to be happening on the date of release (with the exception of episode 18 in s1, of course). So I went and looked at the release dates of every episode of season 1 and calculated how long it was in-universe - A year and seven months. (I realized I could’ve just looked at the first and last episode after I finished. oops.) In season 1 ep 14 he says he’s just a year old. (I would’ve put a screenshot here but the episode has no captions! The time stamp is 3:37.)
If we were to assume he means exactly a year old (which is likely, based on season 2), that means that by the end of season one, he’s a year and 5 months old.
Now, onto season two where things get complicated.
The last time I remember dates being mentioned in s2 is in ep6 where MePhone makes a Halloween based challenge and MePad says he’s off by “over a month”.
Yea, that doesn’t really narrow it down. So I went and looked at the release dates up until this episode. Here’s the list (date/month/year):
Ep1: 02 April 2013
Ep2: 02 May 2013
Ep3: 25 June 2013
Ep4: 23 August 13
Ep5: 03 November 2013
Ep6: 02 February 2014
As you can see, the gap increased over time. That doesn’t really help!! Like at all!!
If we were to go with the ‘Episodes exactly a month apart’ formula like in season 1, ep6 would’ve been in September so that’s not right. We can only make assumptions but I’ll save that for later.
Episode 9 implies that there are deadlines as to when episodes need to come out as he mentions a schedule:

So I’m pretty confident in saying that ep10 is happening a little after ep9. Maybe an hour at most? But I think that’s a bit of a reach, since there’d probably be more on the white board if so much time had passed.
And episode 14 is happening right after ep13 (......obviously.)
He also says that episodes 7 and 8 fucked up his schedule? But the eliminations still happened (I’m assuming on time) so like. I don’t know.
............And here is where the canon information ends and my assumptions begin.
Since there’s a schedule, then there’s probably an equal amount of time between the episodes. Based on MePad’s line and episode 5’s release date, we can assume ep6 takes place in December. And if we were to assume that episode 1 is happening on the second of April, then there’s been 9 months between these episodes. That means there’s a month and a half between each episode! Here’s my timeline (date/month/year):

So if MePhone was 1 year and 6 months old in November of 2012 then at episode 13&14 he’s 3 years and 5 months old!
As for season 3, we have absolutely no point of reference. Not for how much time passes between episodes or when it started. So unfortunately, for that I have nothing. Maybe that’ll change with the following episodes though? <:3c
All of this is ignoring the time he spent living with Cobs, as we have no way of calculating that. MePhone saying he’s just a year old in season 1 makes sense since he had erased those memories and likely started the show immediately.

I'm sure we all know the post about cleaning with ADHD that suggests "Junebugging", an attitude to cleaning that as long as something is being cleaned, progress is being made, so don't worry if you somehow cleaned the kitchen table instead of the shower?
Anyway, I just junebugged my way into cleaning the outside of the front door.
I put some washing (US:laundry) on, and to help it dry (I usually hang it inside) put my hygrometer outside to see if it was worth opening up. It was only 60% outside, to inside's 70%, so I wandered around opening windows.
Kitchen window had somehow got locked, so I got the Complete house keys, which live on a lanyard, to unlock it. (I have a copy of the door key on my bike key chain, so I don't need the Complete set often)
Lanyard was mouldy somehow, so I hung it on the doorknob to wipe it over with isopropyl alcohol.
After that, the bit of the door that got wiped incidentally was way cleaner, and showing up how dirty the rest of the door was, so I got some wipes out and cleaned that too. For the first time since I lived here, some 5 years now.
After I typed that, I looked up the original post to just double check, and it defined junebugging a little differently to how I had recalled it, but my thinking here was inspired by it.
Anyway, after that, I'd accidentally removed one more wipe from the packet than I needed for the door, and my grubby fingers had got it dirty, so I cleaned the light switches. The one in the kitchen was filthy, I'm not sure it had ever been cleaned, tbh.

I finally got around to scheduling my COVID booster. I very cleverly scheduled it for a Monday afternoon, shortly after my daycentre finishes to save a trip into Town, and before I have a couple of days with nothing on, just in case I have side effects.
Only. I forgot that today is a public holiday, and my day centre is closed, so I don't save a trip into town, and there is in fact a small possibility that the chemist itself won't be open, and the website just let me schedule for this arvo because the public holiday hadn't been programmed in. I did actually mean to ring up and check, but I forgot.
I could have rescheduled for next week, but I've already put it off for months, so I decided to just go anyway

Well, it finally got me. I have COVID.
I'm at camp, and woke up this morning feeling like a truck hit me, and left a buncha sludge in my lungs.
So I left the cabin, and hung out on the verandah until someone in authority woke up so I could ask for a test. Which was positive. Really positive, the line was really clear before it even finished developing.
Currently back on the verandah, waiting for a family member to come retrieve me.
About an hour ago I coughed so hard I puked.

FAQ
What is the WIP Big Bang?
Good question! This is a Big Bang with one goal in mind: to clean out your fanfic drafts folder. These are stories that were unfinished for whatever reason, that authors returned to and completed, and the art that goes with them!
Do I need a Livejournal/Dreamwidth/AO3/etc. account to participate?
No! You don’t have to have an account on anything to participate, though you will need to have somewhere to post your finished work. Having one or more accounts will help for you to follow what is going on with the bang (we crosspost to Livejournal, Dreamwidth, Tumblr, and Twitter at the moment), but they are not required to participate. You can always leave comments anonymously or with an opensource ID.
How many fics can we sign up for?
We absolutely don’t mind multiple sign-ups. I know one year someone submitted 50 fics to finish, and got at least half of them done. We just ask that when you sign up with more than one fic you give each fic a unique user ID (please do not use the same ID for all your fics...it’s important to have different IDs for the check-ins).
Will I get emails about the bang?
We do send out some emails, mostly for snippets and art claims and to ensure communication between authors and artists, but please do NOT rely on getting an email to remind you of due dates. We currently do not keep an updated email list of participants, so we only send individual emails as needed rather than mass emails.
However, email is the fastest way to communicate with the mods. If you have any questions or are having trouble communicating with your artist/author, please do email us! We will do our best to respond quickly.
What do you mean by minimum word count to enter?
This is a WIP Big Bang, therefore we ask you to have at least 500 words of your story drafted when you enter.
Can an outline count towards those first 500 words that are needed at sign up?
We have admitted work on an outline before so yes, if your outline is fleshed out enough to cover a 7,500 word+ fic, we’ll allow it.
Are multi-chapter fics allowed?
Yes, multi-chapter fics are allowed and even more so encouraged if your fic is lengthy.
What about fics that are already posted on ao3 in part? Do those qualify for the bang?
It's okay if you have posted a few chapters of your fic already (you never know when the muse deserts you, after all), we just require you to refrain from posting more until posting begins here. All we ask is that you not post any public updates to the fic until August 1st (or July 1st with the mod’s okay). We don’t want you to lose kudos and comments so don’t worry about pulling the fic down, just hold off on updates for now.
Is there a minimum word count?
7,500 words for each finished fic, but the sky's the limit, right?
I see that the fic minimum is 7500 words and that published WIPs are acceptable - but what if the WIP I’m considering is already more than 7500 words? Is the expectation to add an additional 7500 to it?
No. You can add as much or as little as you need to finish the story, though we do expect at least 1,000 or so new words if your WIP already meets the word count.
What happens if an author finishes the fic they signed up with but it’s less than 7,500 words? The intent was to go over the minimum but once they got into it the story was shorter than they thought and stretching it out would make it less good. Do they have to drop out at that point?
By all means, we want your stories to feel as natural as possible, and if it’s under 7,500 words you may have two options:
1 - Drop the fic for the main BB event, post it now, and wait to post it to our AO3 collection in February when we run our International Fanworks Day celebration of finishing fics that are less than 7,500 words when finished. There’s no art for the fic, but bragging rights are posted to the communities for a week.
2 - If there are enough fics that fit that category, we can do a special day of posting the fics, but you’ll have to forgo art for the fic. I, as a mod, would probably pick September 30th for the posting day, as it’s the last day of posting for the bang and I don’t think anyone will mind more than one fic that day. You can post bragging rights to the community and share the fic with everyone.
Is there anything not allowed?
As long as you wrote it and you want to finish it, you're welcome to participate. RPS/RPF is fine. Incest pairings are fine. Things like that I know have been hinted at in questions asked and as long as you tag for them, we’ll allow it. Also, canon settings with mostly OCs is allowed. We just ask that it be tagged properly with any content warnings you would deem fit and be given the appropriate rating for the level of sex/violence there is in the fic.
Original Work was not originally part of this Bang, but as there are not any current Original Fiction Big Bangs running (that we are aware of), we may revisit that next year.
I have a fic I wrote a few years ago, but only the first couple chapters are posted on AO3 because I was never happy with the rest of it and knew it needed major revision. Is that something I could use for WIP Big Bang? The entire fic has been posted, but only on one platform, and it would be rewritten for AO3 and WIPBB.
I think revising a fic for posting would work, as long as you have at least 500 words done, will have 7,500 words at a minimum when it’s done, and are planning to add more to the fic. Simply rewriting what you have would be a gray area, but if you’re going to take stuff out and add new scenes, either in the old scenes place or on your own, you should be fine.
What's the etiquette around OC-centric stories? Ones that are set in a well known fandom and use several characters, but still lean a lot on original characters? Are they discouraged, or fine?
Based on my own personal experience making art for a story that had a heavy OC presence, it’s not something we discourage at all, but be forewarned when it comes to the art accompanying your fic your artist may not be able to incorporate the OCs into your art. Not everyone makes art of a hand-drawn or digitally drawn nature, so it helps if you have people for face claims ahead of art submissions, and you and your artist communicate regularly. You can also end up with art not featuring the OCs at all, just the canon characters, which is not necessarily a bad thing.
Your other options are to bring in an artist you trust with your vision of your OC/make your own art (we do allow that, we just need to be told during the check-in before art that you’re bringing in your own artist if you go that route, or that you’re doing your own art…there will not be a need to sign up in the artist’s sign up, however) or to opt-out of art entirely. So there’s plenty of options to call on when it comes time for art.
What are 'check-ins’?
These are a way for us to see what you've been up to and for you to make sure you're still on track. It will give you a little nudge/reminder if you need it, but they are not compulsory. Basically a form is posted that you fill out with your user ID (unique for each fic) and a checkbox to let us know you’re still participating, plus a section for any notes for the mods.
They’re usually up for about a week, so don’t worry if you can’t check-in immediately once the forms go live.
How are the check in IDs used?
They are solely for the mods organizational purposes. Each ID being for a separate story allows us to keep all the information you submit during check-ins and for snippets in one line on our spreadsheet. You don’t have to share your check in IDs with anyone else if you don’t want to.
How much progress should authors be making between each checkpoint? (Percentage-wise from our estimated total wc, I guess?)
Ideally, with each check-in, you should be at least 25% closer to finishing. The end word count only really matters in that the fic needs to be at least 7,500 words when done, so it’s more your progress towards finishing that should be measured, not so much the word count.

Guess who's back?
Sooo, let's get the big questions out of the way.
Where have you been? Writer's block and hell. No, they are not the same thing. My parents tried to enroll me in driving lessons. Turns out that the thing they signed me up for was for a learner's permit. I was literally bored to tears. Other than that I have no good reason as to why I've been gone.
Also! I learned how to link things in the notes in AO3 so I'll be able to make a direct link from notes to Tumblr!
Have you finished any chapters? Nope, I instead binge-read a bunch of cute fanfics. I will be linking one per chapter so you have something I love!
Will you be posting soon/making a posting schedule? Nope, because I never stick to it. Sorry, you got the author who does a bunch at once and then pops off.
If we got the right answer for the Son of the Bat contest, can we just go ahead and ask it? Yes! For those of you who don't know, the answer was Ra's so feel free to ask a lore question via AO3. I will see and answer it, just put it there or I will never see it.
Any website news? Nope!
If you have checked your bookmarks/history and saw that some minor changes were made to Son of the Bat, that's because I finally sat down and made a proper calendar- just so everyone knows, Arc 3 is now from chapters 17 to 26. I won't promise when the next chapter will come out because that never ends well. But it will be out before the end of April!
I might wind up writing some small additions to Tumblr threds over here so if you want to recommend one, feel free to.

young veins spring tour
The Young Veins toured North America opening for Foxy Shazam with Bad Rabbits in the spring of 2010. The band knew Foxy Shazam because they were also with One Haven Music. Ryan explained how the tour came about in this interview:
We are managed by the same people. It was kind of tough to get on a tour when you don’t have any music out or any records, so I think they did us a favor. Or maybe we are doing them a favor.

As well as touring with Foxy Shazam, the Young Veins also played two solo shows at the Echo in Los Angeles, which is a tiny venue with a 350 person capacity, as well as a set at South By Southwest Festival (SXSW) on 19 March.
Several fans who posted concert recaps of the shows mentioned that the band didn't have roadies and were setting up their equipment themselves. It seems like Jon was doing most of it, which makes sense as he used to be a guitar tech for The Academy Is... and he was probably also the strongest.
The band ran a Twitter competition for the tour, where fans could tweet a picture of their favorite vacation memory to be entered to win free tickets to one of the shows. Here is an infographic posted by the band about it:
Ryan talked about the competition in this interview:
[The vacation photograph contest] was [the label's] idea, which I really liked because I have been meeting the kids every night and they are really excited about it. There is really nothing we have to do, it is just a great way to have people come for free.

Entropic Float Biweekly Update #10
Ten whole updates, and it's been a journey! There's plenty more to go, but I've made loads of progress and streamlined a lot of processes since I began. Let's start things off right today with this beautiful art of Madeline by RabbitProtocol on twitter! This was commissioned for me as a Christmas Gift from my good friend Casper, the Director of Heart Fragment. I got a few lovely pieces from others (and for myself!) as holiday gifts, so there will be more to share in the next few updates too. It's been 3 weeks since the last time I posted instead of the usual 2, so I've got a lot to share! Let's get into it.
Writing:
38/54 segments written! Four segments in the gap again. This time it was both of Kanatsun's night endings, then the intro and first puzzle of Rashmi's morning route. May not seem like much for three weeks, but as with before, I have parts of later segments written partially. Notepad doc while at work style! Just because I'm a full time employee doesn't mean I won't fit writing in where I can. Plus, a lot of the work I've done since last time relates to assets!
Talksprites:
No change since last time.
Voice Acting:
Since last time, I received the voicelines for Amelie! That leaves just True, Touko, and JJ left to learn to speak!
Background Images:
I've gone from 13/17 to 17/17! That's right, there were four rooms left to build, and I built them all. All of Rashmi's Puzzle Rooms! You can see a CG that takes place on one of them below. I'm also at 13/14 of the on-route hand-drawn CGs. The one that's left is also partially drawn, I just took a break midway through because I needed to finish building a background for reference. Further, I drew a bunch of cute little chibi representations of the cast. Still deciding where in the game I'll implement those.
There may still be new background images added for the True Ending when I begin development on that section, but for the time being, this task is complete!

My goal progress from last time:
- Finish filling in the gaps left in the last two Kanatsun segments
- Export and deliver a demo of the Kanatsun Routes for my beta testers
(Half of my beta testers have completed the process and I have a lot of changes to make to polish the Kanatsun routes, but I'll wait till the verdict's in from all four of them~!)
- Build and Screenshot the four rooms necessary for the Rashmi Routes

That's a much shorter list than last time! For the time being, my progress is going to be returned to much like it was during November. That strategy of mass-producing all the visual assets ahead of time worked so well for me there that I just had to do it again. At this point, all I really need to do is zero in on writing the Rashmi Routes. The process is going to open up again a ton more when I start working on the True Ending- I'll need lots of new assets, need to completely rework the way I look at my writing segments since the presentation will be vastly different, and program in a whole lot of extra stuff since there's even a shift in the gameplay! I'm getting close to when I'll need to think about that, but for now, I've got a short list.
I'm currently ahead on my schedule, which reflects January, February, and March each taking a full month for a full Rashmi Route. Being ahead of schedule now will give me more time to tune up the game closer to launch, or give me a cushion if something happens and I lose the ability to work on Entropic Float for a period of time. Beyond that, I predicted April and May for work on the True Ending, June for integrating sound effects throughout, and the first week of July before I release for final checks and tune-ups. We'll see how realistic this ends up being!

Timelines and Due Dates I understand that people get busy. Therefore, I want to allow plenty of time for you to compose your chapter. One of the questions asks how much time you need to write and edit your chapter before you submit it. I will not start posting until the story is complete. Writing will take place in January through April with posting to start May 1st. The writing schedule is listed below. You can paste your completed chapter in this document before the designated date, but please let me know if you won’t meet your deadline. I actually hope we will finish before schedule, but I’ll be happy if we get to post on the May 1st date. Basically, I’m saying that you can start writing your chapter as soon as the previous one is posted. Please DO NOT post it online. Use this document to post your completed chapter. Please do not post your drafts on the story document.

Positivity & Respect- It is important that you respect the previous writers' work. Please adhere to the canon that the previous writers' have established. If you don't like a particular plot point, please don't undo or change previous details. Plot twists are fine, but let's not do- the last chapter was all a dream, lol. That could leave the previous author feeling hurt, and this is all in good fun. I will have the option for others signed up to comment (not edit) on previous chapters, and I encourage you to do so because writers thrive off of feedback. Just keep all comments positive.
Ratings and Warnings- The Rating of this fic will be Mature (and so smut is permitted but not required) but I also want it to be accessible and reader-friendly. I asked the authors what topics that they felt uncomfortable writing. I want to respect that, so please avoid the following when you write your chapter.
Dom/sub smut scenes
Explicit, kinky sex scenes - sex scenes are fine, but let’s avoid extreme kinks like skat and waterplay (I had to look up those terms in the Urban dictionary, and they are not my thing either), vore, threesomes, sex tapes, or incest. However, sex is canon for our boys in season 3, and honestly friends to lovers and fake dating stories often have sex scenes. None of you said smut was off the table even though some of you said you don’t want to necessarily write it. (I’ve never written anal penetration scenes myself) so I’m going to leave that all to you guys if you choose to include it.
Abuse of any kind
No heavy violence- (bullying, slaps, or even a punch is understandable, but several of the writers mentioned that they were uncomfortable with excessive violence or bloody scenes)
No Huge Age Gaps, teacher student relationships, or adult/ minor pairings. (Yes I know the whole Shelby/ Puck storyline was a thing in season 3, but several of you said it made you uncomfortable. It’s not my thing either.
Rape or noncon
No suicide, self-harm, or self injury I excluded Karofsky’s suicde attempt for this reason. Instead of the attempt, he leaves his school and returns to McKinley and decides to come out. I hope you like the changes I made to this storyline when I send chapter 1.
No heavy mental issues (Blaine was prone to depression, but let’s try to keep this light.)
M-preg
I am not personally opposed to writing these things (I’ve written several of them), but I want to respect you guys, and I want you all to be able to write this without being triggered or uncomfortable.
4. Fic Length- All chapters should be at least 1,000 words, but try not to exceed 10,000 words. Chapter one is currently 6,000 words, just to give you an idea.
5. Editing- Please edit your fic before you submit it. I'm going to use a google doc, and you can copy and paste your chapter into the fic when you are finished. Minor errors happen, and I do not mind looking over your chapter if needed, but it's important to only post the completed chapter because the other writers will read what you've submitted and plan their chapter based on what you've written. If it's incomplete or changed without the next writer's knowledge, it could create confusion. Actually, a few of you have mentioned being willing to beta, and I would love it if you guys would comment on the previous chapter if you spot errors or continuity issues. I love comments when I’m writing. I welcome it in this first chapter actually. Just don’t make any changes. I’m going to try to allow you guys to have commenting abilities, but limit editing. I may not be able to though if you guys are adding your chapters. Bear with me.
6. Plot Points & Story- It's perfectly fine to introduce a problem to create suspense and intrigue for the story. However, before you can introduce a new problem, you must resolve a previous one in some shape or form. (For example, if you decided to write that Sebastian finds out the relationship is fake and decides to blackmail Kurt, maybe you solve an issue such as the tux Kurt wants to buy is on backorder, so he decides to make his own.
7. Klaine is Endgame- No disrespect to anyone that writes other ships, but this is a Klaine event, so our boys should end up together. Therefore, let's not make our boys do something to the other that would be irreparable or unforgivable.
8. Participation- Life happens. If for any reason, you decide you are unable to complete your chapter, please contact me Asap. Maybe I can arrange something with another writer or help you if you are stuck (I have had a personal emergency while participating in a Klaine event- my appendix burst. I was able to post late after I recovered.) I'll work with you. Just let me know. I want this to be fun for everyone involved.

9. Characters- I polled all of the writers to see which characters you guys really wanted to write and who you didn’t. Basically, anyone in season 3 is fair game, but let’s keep it simple. The main characters are Kurt and Blaine. If there is another character you want to write, go for it.
However, there were a few characters you should try to keep out of major plot lines, and those are Mr. Shu, Sue Sylvester, and Puck. You can mention them, but let’s try to keep those characters on the side. On the plus side, almost all of us wanted large doses of Burt, Mercedes, Rachel,Santana, Sam, Finn, Quinn, Carol, and the Warblers. (I personally love that Burt was number 1). Whoever you write, let’s just make sure that the focus stays on Kurt and Blaine.
10. Betaing- You are welcome to get a beta on your own. However, I will have a signup soon for betas. I have had it suggested that each of us beta the chapter before yours as a final readthrough, and to add comments or notes. It would be a good way to get feedback and ask questions. That way, we can keep the story connected, and help the authors writing the final chapters tie everything together. It doesn’t have to be gigantic comments. It can just be a winky face or an “I like this line, or even, what does this mean? We won’t be posting until May and so I’m sure some of you would like feedback before then. This is a way that we can do that.
I included the prompt and tropes down below in case you haven’t seen it or needed a refresher.
Prompt: Kurt and Blaine met just as they did in canon, and even though Blaine realizes when Kurt sings Blackbird that he's in love with Kurt, he never says anything, and Kurt goes back to McKinley. Blaine transfers to McKinley for senior year, and they are best friends, bonding on being the only two out guys at McKinley until Karaofsky comes back. And he's out and proud, and he wants Kurt. And so he asks Kurt to be his prom date, repeatedly until Kurt, in frustration, finally blurts out that someone already asked him. He said the first name that came to mind, Blaine's. On top of that, he tells Dave that they are now dating. Now, Kurt needs to convince his best friend to take him to the biggest event of their high school year, senior prom.
Tropes: Fake Dating, Friends to Lovers, High school Klaine, Canon Divergent
A few notes:
The opening scene is from Season 2 starting at Original song. Everything is canon up to that point (except that Blaine and Kurt are both in the same year (Juniors), then things diverge a little.
Blaine never got to finish the “You move me speech, and so they never became a couple.
Someone else (Alex) at Dalton asked Kurt out, and Blaine lost his nerve. Kurt went back to McKinley in “Born This Way” and he ended up breaking up with Alex right before Junior Prom (Prom Queen).
Blaine shows up so Kurt doesn’t have to go stag. Kurt is still named Prom Queen and Karofsky transfers schools.
This story will take place primarily in season 3. Blaine transferred to McKinley at the beginning of their senior year. He starts dating Sebastian after they go to Scandals in ‘The First Time’. They break up because Blaine finds out that Sebastian is sleeping with other people. The events of chapter 1 happen shortly after Valentine’s Day (On My Way aired on February 21, 2012. Promasaurus aired on May 8 (A timeline of roughly 11 weeks- which I’m going to round to a 12 week timeline.
All in all, this is a friends to lovers and a fake dating story. The plot conflicts should all relate to the prom, Kurt’s and Blaine’s feelings for one another (they are in love with each other but both afraid to say anything and mess up the friendship that they have), and the issues they have with Karofsky and Sebastian. It can also include issues with the New Directions, but it’s important that the focus stays on Kurt and Blaine. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me or comment to the author of that chapter. This is going to be a great story. I can feel it. Ultimately, I want us all to enjoy this experience.
Be on the look for chapter one in your email over the next few weeks. It is written and has already been sent to the second author in line. I’m not sending it out to all of you yet because I’m not sure about a few little details. I’ll send it as soon as I figure it all out. Please let me know ASAP if you have any questions or concerns.
