1/3 My good sir! i literally cannot listen! to the house building song! without imagining Arthur and Charles! Building their little house together! with John and Abigail and Jack! (a happy Jack! brought up by a big family! his parents! and his Uncles that love each other! and his Aunts Sadie and Charlotte who too find happiness together after being widowed! All living in houses they all built! As neighbours! in a small town where p much everyone is ok with them! And not in fcking Blackwater!)

2/3 Imagine them listening to the song as they work! And when the song goes "no matter, what the weather, we're together" picture Arthur catching Charles' eyes while working on the beams, the blush and the happy shy little smile (you know the one) that he tries to hide with the brim of his hat, while Charles has a giant fcking grin asdfjñ Also Charles has the whistling part down to a t - he later realises Arthur's humming it while making dinner and his heart does a thING and now has to kiss him3/3 Charlotte and Sadie teach Arthur (and Abigail, but that's a work in progress) how to cook properly! and through it he finds out he's p good at making diferent types of bread! They all take turns going hunting! they all work their land and sell any surplus in town in which they also take small jobs! - Jack goes to the tiny community supported school and Abi gets better at reading! sometimes after work Charles, John and Sadie get a glass more than they should and talk about their wiv*shot*

they own a big plot of land with a house for each of them, and they take turns making dinner every night and spend evenings together and it’s a beautiful wholesome family and Jack grows up so loved and adored - Charles teaches him to hunt and to ride, Arthur teaches him to shoot (cuz lets be real, John’s not as good), Sadie and Charlotte and Abigail teach him the value of learning to mend and wash and cook because no son of theirs is gonna burden a woman with that shit. John is hesitant, he didn’t have a good fathr and doesn’t know how to be a good dad, but he does his best and he learns and having his friends around helps him...

and the stability of it all is good for all of them, and John and Abigail’s daughter (I imagine her name is Annie) lives and they have two beautiful children...

and maybe Sadie and Charlotte, they want a baby... and Charles, too... so maybe (sorry i gotta take this wholesome train to horny town) they decide that... Charlotte will have Arthur’s baby and it’ll be Sadie and Charlottes, and Charles and Arthur will be like, coparents... because Arthur is still so afraid of bringing a life into the world again, but he loves Charles and Sadie and Charlotte and he trusts them so much...

so Arthur and Charlotte make love in Sadie and Charlotte’s big, soft, fluffy bed, with Sadie holding Charlotte and kissing her neck and making sure that the baby they all make together is conceived surrounded by love... and Charles rubs Arthur’s back and whispers in his ear praise and thanks, like, thank you for giving me this, doing this for me, my woman, can’t wait to get my dick inside you and come til you feel full of it, like i’m trying to get a baby in you, gonna fuck you so deep... and it’s ridiculous but it gets the job done and 9 months later Charlotte is labouring, squeezing Charles and Sadie’s hands as Abigail tries to keep John and Arthur from trembling out of their skin with nerves...

like Charles isn’t attracted to women, but seeing Arthur so happy and getting to watch is its own kind of arousing and... they start to... do it... more...  (It doesn’t help that i’m hopelessly attracted to dark-haired women and want arthur to SMASH THAT) 

and yeah after a hard day’s work Charles and Sadie and John sit around drinking and laughing and Sadie goes like “That’s my wife!” and John is like “MY WIFE IS A BITCH AND I LOVE HER.” and Charles is like “... my wife is a slut.” and there’s an awkward pause before they all start laughing again cuz it’s true 

and you just hear a kind of faux-offended “hey...” from the kitchen where Arthur is blushing all red and embarrassed.
