TIME TO REGRESS TO 2016. I literally drew this so late last night because Hamiltalia was on my mind.

I just had to draw this because I honestly have never seen Kiku cast as Burr before, and he’s honestly a perfect fit. They are scarily similar people.

Both live by the “talk less, smile more” motto- their politeness used as a political tool. Both value patience as a virtue (“Wait for it”). And to top it all off, I feel like the sentiment of wanting to be in the “room where it happens” very much mirrors Japan’s desire to be recognized among the world powers in the late 19th/early 20th century.

Not to mention, I feel like the way Burr feels about Hamilton is pretty similar to how Kiku feels about Alfred. (Now I’m just thinking about the line “I am slow to anger, but I toe the line.”)

Alfred would be Hamilton of course and I think Jefferson and Madison would be Ivan and Yao.
