News - On Discotek Media's announcement stream last night, they announced quite a few new titles. The big ones relating to classic anime would have to be a brand new UHD 4k + bluray re-release of Belladonna of Sadness (1973), a bluray for Puss N Boots Around the World (1976), Isao Takahata's Chie The Brat TV series (1981) on bluray, 2008's Fist of the North Star: The Legend of Kenshiro film (and original story based off the manga) on bluray, and the 2017 live-action Hurricane Polymar based on the 70s Tatsunoko series. Lezioni mitologiche
Io credo che gli anime giapponesi abbiano recepito la lezione delle antiche mitologie, secondo le quali un guerriero non può - anzi, non deve - essere troppo potente.
Deve esserci una debolezza che compensi il loro enorme potere.
Achille ha il proprio tallone, divenuto poi proverbiale.
Mentre Siegfried ha un punto preciso nella schiena (ripreso nella saga del Cavalieri dello Zodiaco ambientata ad Asgard).
Ryo Saeba, ineffabile pistolero, è un maniaco sessuale; Monkey D. Luffy è un perfetto idiota, quando non combatte; Hurricane Polymar esaurisce il potere del proprio casco dopo mezz’ora.
E potrei andare avanti per chissà quanto.
Il punto è questo: nei guerrieri dell’animazione nipponica apparentemente invincibili, scatta un fenomeno di compensazione.
Che li rende più umani.
E anche più simpatici.

Habits, Emotions and Courage
Anime: Hurricane Polymar : Holy Blood
Don't you feel it's very painful to keep our thoughts inside our head?
If you are encountering a very difficult issue right now in your life, you'll probably try to predict where you're going to be in the future. You might go into thinking that you're doomed.
I think that these kind of progression results from our Habits and Emotions.

Let's talk about the Habit.
To explain a certain habit we all have, I'd like to talk about social interactions.
In a way we always use a Mask in social settings.
For me, the Mask is the effort we make when interacting with each other with the aim to exchange in an appropriate manner,
Based on that, I'd say that in social settings we often create safe spaces where we have mostly positive interactions. To spend good time.
In the midst of all that effort, I sometimes felt that I become different than when I'm by myself.
Our world doesn't make sense sometimes, but when I'm distracted around people, for example when dancing half-drunk, most of those thoughs stay inside my head.
It becomes a habit.
And just like you I rarely speak your mind around people.

Let's talk about the Emotion.
During my life, I often created subjective scenarios in my heads when facing Hardship.
What I noticed after things gets fixed, is that I usually would be thinking of scenarios with limited outcomes in comparison to reality.
It's quite normal to do so, I'm used to keep my thoughts inside my head and I'm not all knowing.
I make the wrong judgements all the time.
Those wrong calls got me to hesitate to take a step forward. I would do nothing of my day because I keep thinking that I'm wasting my time and ressources. I then feel down.
You're stuck in space and time during those moments.
That's where the Emotion comes in.
In moments of distress, I keep searching for the right solutions and when they don't give fruitful results, I start feeling hefty.
I get stuck in my own thoughts and I become petrified because it's hard.

If you find yourself trapped in space and time, under a blanket, it's probably because your stress levels are high.
That means you're projecting yourself into the future, too much.
In moments of distress, I keep searching for the right solutions and when they don't give fruitful results, I start feeling hefty.
Lately, I understood that Courage is a virtue when it comes to living a good life or when facing hardship.
Things can seem very chaotic around us, I can't say it enough.
The reality is that we're supposed to find our own solutions to our own problems.
But you can not predict Life, even if you're someone with a great intuition.
It is then very useful to also realize when we're projecting too much into the future.
What works for me is to try to live my day as I would normally do.
I would go on my daily life, take care of myself and be pro-active.
What's positive about htat is that I avoid useless stress, improve my mood and act more. This enabled me to find a solution quicker than if I was drawning in the fear of what's upcoming.
It is not easy but being courageous will lift you up.
