can i ask for some baby shouto headcanons please? because i too, wish that the happy todoroki family was a real thing
This is soooo late, but here you go 😊
• Baby Shouto was a tyrant. Like seriously, he was a horrible baby. He was always crying and his parents could never get him to go to sleep. He didn't like being left alone, and someone always had to be holding him. No one liked hearing him cry so his parents and siblings just gave into his demands.
• He didn't sleep in his own bed until he was like 4. Again, no one liked hearing him cry so his parents stopped kicking him out of their bed. Enji did eventually put his foot down because after Shouto got his quirk, he would occasionally freeze things in his sleep. Those were a rough few nights for poor Shouto, suddenly forced to sleep in his own bed, but he got over it. Eventually. Maybe...
• Needless to say, he was a spoiled little brat, but like the cute kind which made him all the more deadly. And he knew it. He probably held the record for most temper tantrums in a day because he knew his family couldn't stand the sheer power of his tears.
• Being the youngest certainly didn't help because he was always jealous of his older siblings getting to do stuff that he couldn't. He didn't care what it was, but he wanted it too. Touya is drinking coffee? Shouto doesn't know what that is but he wants some too. Natsuo gets to go to bed later than him? Shouto is literally falling asleep but he should get to stay up too. All in all, he's got a really bad case of youngest child syndrome.
• And everyone outside the family would just praise him for being such an angelic little child. If only they knew, if only they knew.

Hi...So I took a break from the fandom for a bit and kind of forgot this blog existed. BUT I've returned and so has my obsession with the Todoroki family!
So as an apology for my inactivity on this blog, I present to you...
20 htfau Headcanons!
Enjoy!
Touya was a terrible student in school. He was smart and got good grades when he actually studied, but he didn't have any interest or motivation to do anything other than hero training. His teachers at UA had to threaten expulsion to get him to focus on his studies more. He wasn't happy about it, but at least he graduated with high grades.
Enji doesn't have the best relationship with his parents. They were quite neglectful and really only cared about him making it in the hero world. They weren't very supportive of his choice to become a hero, rather they wanted him to take over the family business. They didn't have much faith in him and Enji thinks that's why he's so ambitious. He wanted to prove them wrong, which he did. Of course, after he made it to the higher ranks, his parents tried to reconcile but he's still hesitant with them. It's always tense between them why they visit, but Enji tries not to let it affect their relationship with his kids because they are their grandchildren after all. And Enji has to admit that they are much better grandparents than they were parents.
Rei's side of the family is much more involved in their lives. She has a good relationship with her parents and they were very supportive of her marriage to Enji. Ironically, Enji feels much more comfortable around them than he does his own parents. They treat him like their own son. They're close to their grandchildren too. They joined the rest of the family at the Sports Festivals to watch Touya and later Shouto.
Natsuo is a very social person, which confuses Enji and Rei because he did not get it from them. He was that kid in school who was friends with everyone. The rest of the family gets shocked when they see how many contacts he has in his phone. Everywhere he goes, he sees someone he knows from somewhere.
They are very wealthy. Not only does Enji make a ton of money from his hero work, but he also comes from a very wealthy family himself. Rei's family is pretty well off too, though not to the same extent. Enji and Rei never really put limits on their kids' spending, which may have spoiled them a bit. They all have access to their parents' bank accounts and would never think twice about taking from it.
Out of all of them, Touya's the biggest spender. He mostly buys clothes (he's also the most fashion-conscious), he's into designer brands. He also owns a motorcycle. That purchase really made Enji and Rei question their limits.
Fuyumi doesn't buy a lot of clothes, she spends more on outings with her friends. She'll usually offer to pay just because she can. She likes buying her friends expensive birthday presents too.
Natsuo spends on a variety of things- video games, takeout, tickets to concerts and sporting events, the latest technology, you name it. Recently, he's been spending a lot on dates with his girlfriend.
Shouto is an avid manga reader and collecter and will not hesitate to buy a new one. He was very excited when he found out that Sero shared his interest. They often stay up late in the dorms reading through Shouto's collection.
Touya has always entertained the idea of one day taking over his father's agency after he retires. Enji's never said anything about the future of his agency, simply because he hasn't thought that far ahead yet, but he wouldn't be entirely opposed to the idea. Touya hasn't brought it up though, it's merely a fantasy for now.
Natsuo was the only unplanned child, Touya was the smallest when born, Fuyumi came a bit late, and Shouto came about a month early.
They have a family groupchat and a siblings groupchat (where they mostly just complain about their parents).
When they were young, one of Fuyumi's favorite games was playing house. Convincing Shouto and Natsuo to play along as the kids was never difficult- Shouto was too young to care what the game was, he just wanted to be involved, and Natsuo could easily be bribed with as little as a cookie. Convincing Touya to roleplay as the dad took a lot more effort on Fuyumi's part, but someway or another she always managed to succeed (usually through means of blackmail- Touya could never keep his secrets from her). Rei still has some home videos she secretly took of the kids playing and showed them to Enji. He almost melted from the cuteness of it.
The kids have never seen those videos and are unaware of their existence. Touya would die if he found out about them.
Shouto was an avid sleepwalker as a kid. He still does it sometimes, but only when he's really stressed or tired.
Enji is a bit of a workaholic. He's slowed down since the kids came along, but every now and then he'll need a reminder to stop focusing on work so much. This usually comes in the form of Rei hiding his laptop so he can't work from home.
Touya has an obsession with spicy food. He claims he can handle it, even though everyone knows he can't. Despite his obvious intolerance though, he keeps torturing himself by always making his food unnecessarily spicy or ordering the spiciest dish on the menu when eating out. No one understands why he does this to himself. Enji keeps saying it's just a phase (even though it's been like ten years) and Rei just thinks her son is crazy (she's probably right).
Speaking of spicy food, no Todoroki can tolerate it, not even Enji. It's like genetic or something.
Rei and Fuyumi have a very close relationship. They often go on outings together like shopping or coffee dates. Rei even visited Fuyumi at work once and Fuyumi introduced her to her class.
The Todoroki kids are the type of siblings who can go from being on the verge of killing each other one minute to forgetting all about in order to team up to harass their parents the next minute.

Both Enji and Rei are neat freaks who need to have everything in order. The house is always spotless and there's not an ounce of clutter. Touya sometimes feels like he's living in a museum rather than a home, though he can be quite the neat freak himself. His bedroom is meticulously organized and if you move his pillow even an inch, he will notice.
Fuyumi isn't as well organized as her parents and older brother, she prefers her room to be more of an organized mess. However, when she's not in her room she'll try and respect her parents' need for cleanliness and order by putting everything away in their designated spot.
Natsuo is his parents' worst nightmare; he doesn't distinguish between clean and messy. His room is total chaos (though Rei still attempts to clean it every now and then despite Touya insisting it's a waste of time and a risk to her sanity) and nothing has a proper place. He's also banned from cooking in the kitchen because a) he can't cook and b) the mess he leaves behind will give his parents a panick attack.
Shouto is organized out of habit. After observing that not all of their children had inherited their trait for cleanliness, Enji and Rei pretty much trained Shouto from a young age to clean up after himself. However, when he's with Natsuo or even Fuyumi, he'll sometimes forget about his parents' "training."

Since this is a happy Todoroki family AU, just wondering what or how would the Todoroki men, especially the Dad, react to Fuyumi's suitors or first boyfriend/girlfriend/which ever fits. Recently, I had seen sketches of Fuyumi and Hawks together. I think it's interesting especially with Hawks' dynamic with Endeavor based on canon content. Thoughts/HC?
So Fuyumi/Hawks is actually kind of canon in this au (I hinted to it in an earlier post). I'm going to be embellishing on the development of their relationship in later posts as well as the family's reactions.
Until now, Fuyumi actually never had any boyfriends. This was mostly her choice though, because she felt that most boys were only interested in her because of her father. She almost gave up hope on ever finding anyone, but then she met Hawks... At first, she didn't really think much of him, but over time that changed. They're not officially dating right now, but they do hang out quite a lot. The only Todoroki who suspects anything is Rei since the men in the family are all completely oblivious. She's keeping quiet for now.
You saw how overprotective Enji is with Shouto, his baby, so you can probably imagine how overprotective he is when it comes to Fuyumi, his only daughter. He trusts Fuyumi, if anything she's probably their only kid whom they don't have to worry about. But he still worries because of parental instincts and the thought of his daughter with some guy does not sit well with him, despite the fact that Fuyumi is a grown adult now. He knows that Fuyumi and Hawks know each other- Hawks is kind of like an honorary member of the family- but he doesn't know that they hang out together outside of the family dinners that Hawks is always inviting himself to.
Touya is also pretty protective of his sister, though he won't admit it out loud. Fuyumi always calls him out on it whenever she catches him glaring at guys who try to talk to her. He always denies that he cares though (he's the same way with Shouto). Touya and Hawks get along pretty well given that they also work together sometimes. There are things about him that bug him but overall he figures he's a decent guy. Touya also has a sneaking suspicion that Hawks is interested in his sister but everytime he tries to bring it up, Hawks manages to change the subject.
Natsuo is very openly protective and will actively go out of his way to "keep Fuyumi safe." Whether it's accompanying her when she needs to go out at night or scaring away potential suitors, Natsuo is quick to do it. Keep in mind though that Fuyumi never really asks for any of this nor does she think it's necessary, but she lets him do it because she knows it makes him feel better.
Shouto, honestly, doesn't really pay much attention to it. The last thing on his mind is his siblings' dating lives, plus they tend to be pretty secretive about them anyway and Shouto doesn't care enough to investigate. That being said, however, if Fuyumi ever were to bring someone home, Shouto would do his research and make sure they were good enough for his sister (and in his eyes, virtually nobody is good enough for Fuyumi). Shouto probably has higher expectations than Fuyumi herself does. He would also be really blunt about it too and would tell her exactly what he thought of whoever Fuyumi was dating.
I'm going to be writing a lot more on this in the future btw (hopefully, if I have time), so this is just a little bit of what's to come.
Thanks for the ask! 😊

This is a question for the 4 siblings: "Who do you think is the coolest of all of you?"
Some of them had some difficulty with this question...
Touya: "I would say me, but I feel like that's cheating. Maybe Fuyumi- her quirk is pretty cool and she can do a lot of things that I can't do. She's a good cook, she's motivated, works hard, she always knows the right thing to say. But she's also a teacher and I never liked teachers. So maybe not her? If not Fuyumi, then Natsuo? No, he isn't cool. The closest he'll get to being cool is his quirk (I haven't forgiven him yet for freezing my hand). Shouto probably has the coolest quirk and he's learning to become a hero so that's pretty cool, but he's just so oblivious sometimes. Ughhh....I guess I'm the coolest sibling."
Fuyumi: "I think we're all cool in our own way. Touya's on the rise to become a prominent hero despite his quirk's setbacks. Natsuo is in med school and is at the top of his class. And Shouto is on his way to becoming a top hero too. If anything, I'm probably the least cool out of all of us, although I am the only one here with some common sense so...you know what, I take it all back. I'm the coolest!"
Natsuo: "What a stupid question, it's obviously me! I have the coolest personality, the coolest look, and the coolest quirk (both literally and figuratively). I take no objections!"
Shouto: "It's not me, that's for sure. I'm only in high school, meanwhile my siblings are out there doing cool stuff. Touya is already a hero, Fuyumi teaches her own class, Natsuo is in college...there's so much I have to live up to! I want to be as cool as them."
Thanks for the ask! 😊

So here is the long overdue first part of this AU's first fic! It's kind of like a longer, more detailed Memory Box. This is the story of how Fuyumi got her glasses.
Also, this blog now has over 300 followers! Thank you so much, guys! It means a lot!
GLASSES - Part I
Rei reached for the phone with one hand as it started to ring, her other hand continuing to stir the pot sitting on the stove. She gave a quick shout to Natsuo, telling him to lower the volume on the TV before bringing the phone to her ear.
"Hello?"
"Hello, this is Nakamura Yuko. I'm Fuyumi's teacher."
"Nakamura-san, thank you for calling." Rei said as she felt a tug on her skirt. She glanced down to see Shouto standing beside her. "This is Fuyumi's mother. What can I do for you?"
Rei mouthed to Shouto to wait a minute, but she doubted the toddler understood. He continued to tug on her skirt. "Mommy?"
"I just wanted to speak with you about Fuyumi. She's not in any trouble or anything, so don't worry about that. She's actually a very smart girl. She's one of the top students in the class..."
Rei tried to listen to the woman on the other end of the line as she rambled on about Fuyumi, but it was difficult to do while she was cooking dinner with Shouto fighting for her attention and Natsuo playing video games in the other room with the volume blasted up all the way. It was times like these that made Rei wish Enji could be home more. She glanced at the clock-- only one hour until Enji was scheduled to come home for dinner. It would be a quick dinner, though, as her husband had to go back to work afterwards. His agency was in the midst of an urgent case and they were running short on time.
But those were the sacrifices that she, no-- they, had made a long time ago.
"Anyway, the reason I'm calling is because I wanted to talk to you about Fuyumi's eyesight."
"Her eyesight?" Rei asked in surprise as she detached Shouto's fingers from her skirt and walked into the other room. She grabbed the remote control for the television and turned down the volume. Natsuo immediately protested in response but she had already hurried back to the kitchen to turn off the oven. "What's wrong with her eyesight?"
"I've noticed she's been having difficulty reading and I suspect it's because she needs glasses. She doesn't have any trouble reading from the board but when it comes to reading things that are right in front of her, Fuyumi struggles to make out the words."
Why didn't Rei notice this? Was she not paying enough attention to Fuyumi lately?
"Is that so?" Rei said as she pulled the pan of chicken out of the oven and placed it on the counter. "Well, thank you for letting me know. I'll talk to my husband about it later and we'll try to get her an appointment with the eye doctor."
"Mommy!"
Shouto was tugging on her skirt again so Rei gave Fuyumi's teacher a quick goodbye before hanging up. She sighed and turned to her youngest. "Shouto, when Mommy is on the phone, what do we do?"
"Be quiet?"
Rei smiled as she bent down to her son's height. "Then why didn't you do that, baby?"
The boy was silent for a moment while he thought about it. "I had to go potty!"
Rei's smile dropped. Had to?
"And do you still need to go?"
Shouto was starting to lose interest in the conversation and Rei could see him eyeing the trains he had abandoned earlier when he came to get her attention. "You weren't listening so I went."
Thinking the conversation was over, Shouto turned to go back to his toys but Rei grabbed him before he could get very far. She scolded herself as she picked up Shouto to bring him to the bathroom to clean him up. She and Enji had been trying to potty train him for the past three months, but they didn't seem to be making much progress. Enji kept reassuring her that Shouto would get it eventually, after all, Natsuo had taken a while too.
As Rei left the kitchen, Natsuo came running towards her. "When's dinner?"
"Whenever your father gets home." Rei replied as she passed her daughter coming down the stairs. "Fuyumi, would you mind setting the table for me? Your brother thought it was a good time to have an accident."
Fuyumi laughed. "Sure, Mom. Natsu will help me."
The seven-year-old's eyes widened in shock at his sister's words. "No, I won't! That's a girl's job."
"Anyone can set the table, Natsu. Dad just did it yesterday."
Rei rolled her eyes as her children's bickering faded as she ascended the stairs. Shouto was squirming in her arms, trying to free himself from her hold.
"Mommy, I wanna play!"
"You're not playing right now, you just peed your pants. Don't you want to be clean?"
"No."
Rei held in her laugh as she made a mental note to add that to the list of the day's events so that she could tell Enji about it later. Oh, and the phone call she had recieved from Fuyumi's teacher. That was definitely something they needed to discuss.
to be continued...

The Todoroki family strictly adheres to the family game night tradition. They've been at it since Shouto was five and even though now Touya moved out, Natsuo is in college, and Shouto is dorming, they still try to find at least one night a week when they can all come home.
Each member of the family has their own game where they're the reigning champion:
Enji: Clue
Enji has a lot of experience playing detective since he is a hero. Not only does he win almost every game, but he's also able to do it within the first few rounds. It drives his kids crazy. Touya actually beat him once, well, sort of. They found out later that Shouto had accidentally kept a card from Enji which messed up the game. Touya still likes to say he won that time and Shouto still gets a bad rap about it ("Are you sure you don't have anything, Shouto? Because you've hid cards before." "I was eight! I haven't done it since!") Oh, and they have set pieces. Enji is always Colonel Mustard, Rei is Mrs. White, Touya is Mrs. Peacock (he still has no idea how he got stuck with her), Fuyumi is Ms. Scarlet, Natsuo is Mr. Green, and Shouto is Professor Plum.
Rei: Trivial Pursuit
All the categories are her strong point. She's just one of those people who knows something about everything. As for the rest of the family, Shouto and Fuyumi usually come in second or third (Fuyumi because she knows a lot of random facts like her mother and Shouto because he has luck, like "What's the capital of France? for a blue cheese" luck). Enji usually comes in next mostly because he's just not very competitive (he saves his energy for his hero work). If he doesn't know an answer right away, he'll usually just give up for sake of time unlike some other people *cough* Natsuo *cough* who will sit for twenty minutes trying to think of the answer. Natsuo usually comes in next, not because he isn't smart but he'll prioritize getting all the cheese so much that he'll move his piece to categories he's not very good at (like Geography and Literature) just so he can get closer to the cheese spots. Touya usually comes in last because of what he assumes is a "conspiracy against him" because he always gets the hardest questions.
Touya: Codenames
Touya is the most creative when it comes to giving clues. His clues are always very out of the box. Enji, by contrast, is the worst. He is so unoriginal and he knows it so he usually won't be the spymaster. Shouto is the best at guessing so everyone usually wants him on their team. Fuyumi is rather neutral in this game and Natsuo comes up with the most ridiculous clues, not bad necessarily, but just really ridiculous.
Fuyumi: Monopoly
She is literally the most competitive person in the family and when she wants something, she won't stop until she gets it. She makes deals with everyone and almost always gets Park and Broadway. She's also usually the first to start building. Natsuo usually gets the utilities and Shouto tends to grab all the railroads for himself. Enji somehow always lands on jackpot and Rei survives by building up Mediterranean and Baltic. Touya usually goes bankrupt first because of what he assumes is "yet another conspiracy against him" because he always lands on someone's (usually Fuyumi's) thousand dollar properties one after the other. Either that, or he winds up in jail.
Natsuo: Uno
No one knows why, but Natsuo is the reigning champion of Uno. He just always wins which everyone (especially Touya) finds oddly suspicious given that there is very little room for strategy in this game. Enji usually loses- he always forgets to say "uno." And Fuyumi, Natsuo, and Shouto like to gang up on Touya (he cannot figure out why, probably another conspiracy) and give him all the "draw 2," "draw 4," "reverse turn," and "skip turn" cards they can. Everyone leaves Rei alone if they can, which they usually can because they use all those cards on Touya.
Shouto: Poker
Shouto is very unpredictable in Poker so no one can ever guess what he'll do. He also has the best poker face out of all of them. Fuyumi can't keep a straight face for the life of her, Natsuo too to some extent. Enji tends to bluff a lot, so no one really takes his bets seriously anymore. Rei isn't a big risk taker so she rarely takes on a bet. Touya just gets dealt really bad hands. Just blame it on the conspiracy.

Memory Box
When Rei first told the kids she was pregnant with Shouto, Natsuo got very upset at the fact that he wasn't going to be the baby anymore. Throughout the pregnancy, Natsuo did not try hiding his discontent and would constantly try to "sabotage" anything for the new baby.
When they were decorating Shouto's new room, Natsuo complained that he wanted his room decorated too because "the baby's room looks cooler." When Enji reassembled Natsuo's old crib, Natsuo protested that it was his crib and the baby can't have it. (Enji: "but you don't even sleep in it anymore!" Natsuo: "But it's still mine!")
And yet, despite his efforts, after Shouto was born Natsuo fell in love with his new baby brother. He was fascinated by how tiny babies were and he was always begging his parents to let him hold baby Shouto. He even gave him special permission to sleep in his precious crib.
Natsuo, while giving Shouto a tour of his new bedroom: "And this is my crib but I'm gonna let you sleep in it. I used to sleep in it but I'm a big boy now so I don't use it anymore. You're a baby so you need to sleep in a crib. Don't break it or get it dirty!"
Baby Shouto: *drooling on one of Natsuo's toys, completely disinterested*

Practical Quirks Part 1
The Todorokis use their quirks at home all the time and for a ton of different things.
COOKING
When Enji cooks, he just substitutes "oven" with "quirk." He hasn't even touched an oven or a microwave or a stove since before he met Rei. It all started when he was still at UA and he decided that using his flames to heat up food would be good training so he could better control his flames' temperature. Eventually, it became second nature to just heat things up with his quirk. Took some leftover pizza from the fridge- heat it up with his fire. Needs hot water for tea- boil it with his fire. It's so bad that one time when Fuyumi was first learning to cook, she asked Enji how to make pasta and he said, "first you have to heat your flames up to 212° to boil the water." She just stared at him for a solid five minutes until he realized what he had just said.
Rei usually cooks the traditional way (with an oven) but occasionally if Enji, Touya, or Shouto is around, she'll use them.
Touya and Shouto always use their quirks, a habit they picked up from Enji. Natsuo gets them to heat up his food too (he hates cooking, remember).
Fuyumi is the only one who has never taken advantage of her father and brothers like that. She's insistent on not using their fire to cook. She thinks they're all just being lazy (which they are).

htfau Natsuo Todoroki: General Headcanons
• Natsuo first got his quirk when he was 4. They found out when he accidentally froze Touya's hand (he was trying to hit him because he took his toy but ended up freezing him instead). Natsuo found it hilarious- Touya, not so much.
• He has the strongest ice out of all the ice quirk wielders in his family. It's incredibly thick and durable, plus really hard to melt. It takes Enji's hottest flames a good 10 minutes before he can even begin to make a dent in it. It took about an hour for Enji to thaw out Touya's hand from Natsuo's ice- and that was with his hottest flames.
• He used to have contests with Shouto to see who's ice could stay frozen the longest. Natsuo always won (by a longshot). Now they use his ice to train Shouto's flames so he can practice raising his heat limit.
• He didn't know if he wanted to become a hero and when he got to his third year of junior high, he was stressing out because he didn't know what to do. Rei suggested he apply to UA just in case, so he did and he got in. He actually passed the entrance exam in 4th place (Touya was just a little bit jealous, but ultimately happy for his brother!). At this point, he was highly considering going to UA, but at the last minute he changed his mind. There was a part of him that just really wanted a typical life, one that was out of the spotlight so to speak. He loved his family, but having to always be in the public eye really took its toll. He realized that he just wanted a normal high school (and eventually college) experience.
• Like Fuyumi, he was also into sports in high school. He played ice hockey.
• He still didn't know what he wanted to do when he got to college. Touya suggested he go to med school as a joke, but Natsuo took it seriously and thought it might be a good idea, so he did. He's now studying medical welfare and he loves it.
• He has a dorm room at his university but he comes home a lot. His school isn't that far of a commute so he'll come home at least a few days a week, sometimes the whole week if he's not too busy. He also greatly prefers Rei's cooking to take out (or his own cooking).
• He's actually not that bad of a cook, he's just really lazy and doesn't want to prepare his own food.
• He has a good relationship with Enji. When he was younger, he would always beg his father to let him go to work with him. Sometimes, Enji would take him along if he was just going to be in the office all day. He figured Natsuo would get bored pretty quickly (It's not like he could take him on patrol with him), and he did. If there is anything Natsuo hates more than cooking his own meals, it's sitting around doing nothing. He likes being active. After that, he stopped asking to go to his father's work.
• He has a girlfriend. He has yet to introduce her to his family (though they keep begging him to bring her over).

Natsuo Todoroki: Character Profile
Differences:
• He doesn't hate his father, rather they actually get along pretty well. If anything, he probably has the best relationship with him out of all his siblings.
• Like Fuyumi, he's also developed his quirk quite a bit and was pretty set on becoming a hero until it was time for him to start applying to high schools. He actually applied to U.A. and passed the entrance exam, but he made a last minute decision to attend a different high school and go into the medical field.
Similarities:
• As referenced above, he's still attending university and studying medical welfare.
More on htf-au Natsuo to come! I'm also a huge fan of Natsuo in canon (I know, I say that about all the Todorokis!) and I seriously can't wait until he's animated!

Practical Quirks Part 2
Household Items
While the Todorokis own ice packs and heating pads, they rarely use them. If an ice user needs an ice pack, they'll just use their own ice. If a fire user needs one, they'll usually just go to an ice user. Same thing with heating pads, just vice-versa. Shouto has the full package.
The freezer isn't always stocked with ice cubes. Rei usually forgets because she has such a habit of making her own ice cubes whenever she needs some. The majority of the family can make their own ice cubes too so no one gives much thought to the empty ice cube trays in the freezer. Enji and Touya, however, do not appreciate this, especially when they're the only ones home.
One advantage of having fire quirks in the house is that no one needs to wait for the water to warm up. Whether it's for a hot shower, hot water for tea or coffee, or even hot water for washing the dishes, there's usually a fire user around to heat it up. They actually save a lot of energy this way.
Whenever they'd take a family trip, keeping the food warm or cold wasn't a problem. Unlike most people, they never had to lug around ice coolers or thermoses and they never had to eat their food room temperature. They could take ice cream or hot chocolate with them and both would maintain their initial temperatures.

The Todoroki's Are A Happy Family AU
Okay, so while I love the canon Todoroki family and all their history and complexity, I still sometimes get this urge for them just to be a big, happy family. So I'm making this AU where basically everything is the same EXCEPT Endeavor wasn't a total jerk to his wife and kids.
This blog will pretty much be posts about how this not-so-slight difference shapes the Todoroki family in this AU. I'll also be making character profiles to highlight the similarities and differences between the Todorokis in this AU and canon.
I'm super excited to start this- there's simply not enough Happy Todoroki Family AUs out there so I'd like to change that! Posts will be regular and will be tagged as #happy todoroki family au and #htfau.
Get ready for some happy Todorokis!
