I was just hit with a memory from high school from when I asked if I could zoom into class on days that my chronic illness/pain was so bad that I couldn’t attend school, and they said no because it was only for people who had Covid :)

why am *I* always the lazy one demanding too much?! Im so fucking pissed.
My moms supposed to be dropping off my bag later that she fixed for me. I told her multiple times that I am having SEVERE sciatica pain today. You can hear it in my voice how out of breath I am just from the pain. Shes called me multiple times today and I've mentioned the pain in every phone conversation.
But then when I call to ask if she can bring me some ibuprofen she goes "well your brothers walking home so walk to his house and get it" I CANT EVEN WALK ACROSS THE APARTMENT RIGHT NOW WHAT THE FUCK. and she treated it like i'm the bad guy in this scenario so now im sitting here crying because I am in pain, nothing is helping, and my mom basically went "tough shit" because apparently asking my brother to walk an extra 5 minutes isnt fair to him
He's walking home from my moms house, which is about 5km.

Back Pain Be Gone: How Physiotherapy Can Be Your Back's Best Friend
Back pain. It's a universal experience, affecting an estimated 80% of people at some point in their lives. Whether it's a dull ache or a sharp shooting pain, back pain can significantly disrupt your daily activities and leave you feeling frustrated. But before you resign yourself to a life of discomfort, know this: effective solutions exist! Back pain physiotherapy can be your key to unlocking relief and reclaiming your pain-free movement.
Understanding Back Pain: Unveiling the Culprits
The human back is a complex structure, comprised of vertebrae, muscles, ligaments, and nerves. Any of these elements can be the source of back pain. Here are some common causes:
Muscle Strain or Sprain: Overuse, improper lifting techniques, or poor posture can strain or sprain back muscles, leading to pain and stiffness.
Disc Herniation: When the soft cushions (discs) between vertebrae bulge or rupture, they can press on nerves, causing pain, numbness, or weakness.
Sciatica: This condition occurs when the sciatic nerve, which runs from the lower back through the leg, becomes irritated or compressed, resulting in pain that radiates down the leg.
Arthritis: Degenerative changes in the joints of the spine can cause pain, stiffness, and inflammation.
Osteoporosis: Weakening of the bones in the spine can increase the risk of fractures and pain.
Why Choose Back Pain Physiotherapy?
While medication and surgery might be considered in certain cases, back pain physiotherapy offers a safe, non-invasive, and often highly effective approach to managing pain and restoring function. Here's why physiotherapy can be your back's best friend:
Comprehensive Evaluation: A qualified physiotherapist will conduct a thorough evaluation, including a physical examination, to pinpoint the source of your pain and develop a personalized treatment plan.
Pain Management Techniques: Physiotherapists utilize a variety of techniques to manage pain, including:
Manual therapy: This involves massage, mobilization, and manipulation techniques to improve flexibility, reduce muscle tension, and promote healing.
Electrotherapy: Techniques like ultrasound therapy and electrical stimulation can help reduce pain and inflammation.
Strengthening Exercises: Specific exercises tailored to your needs will strengthen core and back muscles, improving support for your spine and reducing the risk of future pain.
Stretching and Flexibility Training: Tight muscles can contribute to back pain. Stretching exercises will help improve flexibility and range of motion, easing stiffness and discomfort.
Education and Self-Management Strategies: Physiotherapists will educate you on proper posture, body mechanics, and exercises you can perform at home to manage your condition and prevent future episodes.
The Benefits of Back Pain Physiotherapy: Beyond Pain Relief
Back Pain Physiotherapy offers multiple benefits that extend beyond pain relief:
Improved Mobility and Flexibility: By addressing stiffness and tightness, physiotherapy enhances your range of motion and allows you to move freely.
Reduced Reliance on Medication: Physiotherapy can help manage pain without relying solely on medication, potentially minimizing potential side effects.
Prevents Future Episodes: By strengthening core muscles and improving posture, physiotherapy can help prevent future back problems.
Enhanced Quality of Life: Reduced pain and improved mobility can significantly improve your overall quality of life and ability to participate in activities you enjoy.
Finding the Right Physiotherapist for Back Pain Relief
When seeking a physiotherapist for back pain, consider these factors:
Qualifications and Experience: Look for a physiotherapist with a proven track record in treating back pain.
Treatment Philosophy: Choose a physiotherapist whose approach aligns with your goals and preferences.
Communication Style: Ensure you feel comfortable discussing your concerns with the physiotherapist.
Location and Convenience: Consider the location and hours of operation of the physiotherapy clinic.
Taking Charge of Your Back Health: A Collaborative Approach
Back pain physiotherapy is most effective when combined with other strategies for back health. Here are some tips:
Maintain good posture: Practice good posture while standing, sitting, and sleeping to reduce strain on your back.
Stay active: Regular exercise helps strengthen core muscles and prevent back pain.
Maintain a healthy weight: Excess weight can put additional stress on your spine.
Practice relaxation techniques: Stress can worsen back pain. Techniques like yoga or meditation can promote relaxation and pain management.

Something has been wrong with my legs. I've been numb from the waist down for a week, and I can't feel my feet at all. I've done my own research and I think it's sciatica. The chiropractor seems to agree. I don't like doctors after the way they ruined my mom's health, but I don't have a choice.
I suppose it's a blessing in disguise, because all my efforts to try to get a doctor's appointment have simply made me hate this world more and look forward to the day when Jesus comes back to burn it all down.
I have at least learned how to walk with this new condition so that I'm no longer so unsteady, and I've started mixing up my routine so I'm not sitting down while I'm at home. But I still will need a doctor's note to be able to get one of those standing desks at work (I know I need one, I've been dealing with tailbone pain for 4 years). I'd hoped the chiropractor could give me one, but he said a doctor has to do that.
After days of prayer, research, and scanning through my insurance, I decided on an osteopath, because I'd rather have a holistic doctor that treats ME and not just my symptoms. There's only one on my insurance that's taking new patients. I can't schedule anything during a work day because their hold times + registration is longer than my break. So I decided to walk in. And I got told, "No, you'll have to call in so we can input it in our computer. No, we don't have a form you can fill out and hand back. There's only 2 of us receptionists, and we can't take that much time to register new patients over the counter." Granted, it's been years since my mom had to sign up as a new patient anywhere, but I don't remember her going through this. She just filled out a bunch of forms.
So I come home, I call, and the first thing I get told is that I'll have to call my insurance and get them to change my primary doctor, because even though I haven't gone to a doctor, it seems that my insurance automatically assigned me one when I signed up for health insurance. And when I looked at the list of doctors: they assigned me an OB doctor! Uh, hello?! I'm not pregnant, I'm not even married, I'm just fat. So first off, thank you very much for reminding me of all my insecurities. Second, where does anyone come off TELLING me who I am and am not supposed to see for my own health?!?!? I didn't think the government had socialized our medicine YET. I guess this is just the first step....
By the time I got that straightened out, I didn't have time to call the doctor's office back and get registered before they closed. Thursday, I went to the chiropractor and then did all my shopping that I hadn't done because it took me that long to be able to walk, so again, I didn't have time to call. Friday, their office closes at noon. Seriously??? Friday is like the best day for people to come in so they have a whole weekend to recover from all the crap the doctor did to them, and find out if the new meds are gonna work for them before they try to go back to work!
So I figured, "well, they're open on Saturdays, I'll call this morning."
"Oh, we only register new patients during the week."
I haven't been able to feel my feet in a week. Do they give a fig? No. "We're a business, and you're gonna do things OUR way."
I am so livid right now. My mom is old enough that when she was a little girl, her mom could call the doctor in the middle of the night- like, the actual doctor, not just his office- and he'd either make a housecall at 2 in the morning, or grandma could take my mom to HIS HOUSE.
Nowadays, it's all big business, and all run by a computer. And it makes me so FURIOUS!!! I am not a computer, I do not appreciate being treated like one!
If I didn't feel like God wanted me to go to an osteopath, I would try a different clinic, because I am already thoroughly disgusted with this one.
I have to wonder if this is just one other thing God has done to show me just how bad the world is, and to make me pray for Jesus to return soon. Because with me, it may start out personal, but then I start seeing the bigger picture, how things are leading up to Revelation. I may be wrong, but I still believe the Mark of the Beast is driven by the Internet.
Father, please save as many people as what are willing to turn their hearts to you. And when there are none left that will, please send your Son to reap the harvest and burn the chaff.
And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. Genesis 6:5
But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.  For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,  And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Matthew 24:37-39

Day 229 of 365
I had a physical therapy session yesterday. It was confirmed that I had sciatica pain. However, further testing is needed to check whether it is piriformis syndrome. I informed my boss that I might not be able to attend to my errands and commitments at work due to the urgency of the situation. I had a valid excuse yesterday to get off work and have a rest. However, last night's situation with Juri was quite tough. I brought up the conversation that I would go to the clinic where my high school friend had her therapy. She kind of outburst since she thought that I was replying too slowly. I am applying an ice pack and warm compress to the painful area while we are contacting each other via text. This is a common episode in our relationship. She lashes out, and when I come home, she laughs at me. Well, my guess is she was jealous, and she needs my attention. I have decided not to go to the research laboratory next week. I will take a rest while completing my therapy.
While having a scheduled therapy, I have a conflicting part about how to manage to attend my classes since the doctor recommended that I follow the schedule that he drafted. The clinic has a first-come, first-served policy. And the most practical time for me to go over to the clinic is in the morning.
My classmate and I decided to meet and have a session together. She had her spine (scoliosis) treated while I was being treated for my sciatica pain. I had three treatment phases. The first is electrical stimulation, which is used to decrease pain and contract the muscle. I asked the doctor, and she told me that it had 9V. So okay, I have a situation to share in my classes. The second is UV therapy (I'm not sure if this is the accurate term for it). And lastly, I had the stretching. I received a comment from her: Oh, sir, you are flexible. Are you an athlete". I told her that I just have biking as my hobby.
After the therapy, I decided to take my classmate out and give her a pen and a book as a present for her birthday from the other day. I bought her a pen with her name engraved on it. Then the second one is a book written by Mark Manson, "Everything is Fucked: A Book About Hope." which I guess she needs at this moment.
We have discussed how our lives came to be. We shared stories from our past relationships; we talked about what we were like back in high school. There are so many things to catch up on. She has so much regard for me. She looks up at me. I don't know if we can classify it as validating me. But I can feel the sincerity. We had a day well spent. And we were also able to track and reestablish her goals in life.
I am glad that it came that way. I was able to help her in one way or the other.

How long is it since you moved out of the house you grew up in? I grew up in two houses. We moved when I was 11 and then I moved out of the second house when I met Chris - I think I was 23? My parents were in the process of selling anyway.
What color shirt are you wearing? Black and white.
The last time you ate leftovers, what was it that you were eating? I think it was leftover takeaway a couple of weeks ago. Chicken nuggets, I believe, and cheesy garlic bread lol.
What was the last flavor of ice cream you ate? Mint chocolate chip.
Do you regret anything you've done in the last 24 hours? Nah.
What is your favorite type of soup? It depends on my mood. I like chicken noodle or potato and bacon. Italian tomato and bean soup is good too.

What is your favorite song at the moment? Survivor by Reba McEntire or If He Wanted to He Would by Kylie Mason.
What are 5-10 things you love about being you? I love animals, I'm happy in my own company, I run my own business, I'm happy in my own skin and I think overall I'm a decent person.
What is your favorite board that you've made on Pinterest? I don't use Pinterest.
Do you get on Facebook or Instagram more? I only use Instagram to upload stories to my business page and to message a couple of customers, so probably Facebook.
What color is your favorite sweater? I have three favourites - they're grey, black and purple.
What are three things people would never guess about you just by looking at the photos you post on social media? I have autism. I have sciatica. I went to private school.

When was the last time you wore your hair in a fishtail braid? I don't think I ever have. I can't do those kinds of styles on myself.
What is one annoying thing your computer does? It's a bit slow on Tumblr for some reason, like my typing doesn't always show up right away, but it was so cheap I can't really complain.
What type of fruit do you eat the most? It depends on my mood, but lately it's been melon, mango and pineapple.
How often do you go out to eat? Maybe once a month on average. We used to go a lot more but prices have shot up recently and it's just not affordable anymore.
What would your dream wedding dress look like? Mine was just a short white dress that came just above the knee.
Which fall flavor do you prefer: pumpkin spice or apple cinnamon? Apple cinnamon, but I like both.

Which holiday treat do you like better: candy corn or conversation hearts? Conversation hearts. Saying that, I've never had candy corn.
What is your favorite apple-flavored treat? Apple Crumble.
What are you counting down the days to right now, if anything? Uh, nothing really. The next "big thing" is my weekend away in Manchester but that's not for another few months.
What was the last book you read about? I can't remember.
Have you been daydreaming a lot lately about a scenario you wish would happen? No, not really.
What are three of your favorite things about camping? Staying at home, hahah. Camping is not my thing.
If you could choose what month to be born in, what month would you have chosen as your birth month, and why? A summer month. Maybe June.
...and what is your actual birth month? December.
What are three of your favorite things to do on a rainy day? Watch my favourite movies, snack, take naps.
Would you rather eat strawberries or watermelon? Watermelon. I do like strawberries but lately they've been a bit rubbish in terms of quality.
Do you prefer smoothies or milkshakes? I like both fairly equally.
Do you prefer hamburgers or hot dogs? Hamburgers.
When was the last time you felt nauseous? Yesterday morning.
What was the last thing you ate that made you feel nauseous? I have no idea.
Do you enjoy going to your local county fair? Yeah, as long as the weather is decent.
How far away do you live from the place where you were born? It's about a seven hour drive.
Do you prefer zebra print or cheetah print? Neither. I'm not a fan of animal print unless it's on animals.

He has a strong interest in the lower spine and neck. He has worked in both the hospital and private sector, and aims to provide the highest level of care.
Physiotherapy deals with joint motion, muscle strength and endurance, function of heart and lungs, and the ability to perform activities needed for daily living. It is used to treat many conditions, including chronic pains such as back and neck pain, arthritis, sciatica, fibromyalgia and whiplash injury.
Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine technique that involves the insertion of sterile, ultra thin needles into certain points on your body. According to this technique, there are pathways called meridians through which energy flows and if the flow is blocked, illness may occur. Our physiotherapists are trained in this modality and will use it within the framework of western medicine to improve function, kickstarting the body’s natural self-healing processes.
You will usually feel no pain as the needle is inserted into the pressure or tension point but some people experience a slight pin-prick sensation or a feeling of heaviness or electricity when the acupuncturist stimulates the acupuncture point. It is important to relax during your treatment to get the best results. Some physiotherapists also use a heat therapy modality called cupping, which involves placing glass cups on the skin with suction to influence blood and energy flow in the body. This is a very effective modality to reduce muscle pain and tension, especially in the back.
Massage not only works on the muscles, but also has benefits for the circulatory, immune and nervous systems. Many people report improved mental and emotional well-being, especially with regular treatment sessions.
Pete has 30 years of spinal and sports physiotherapy experience and is qualified in manual hand therapy. He is passionate about the outdoors and enjoys sailing, water skiing, mountain biking and tramping – and is involved with Whakapapa Ski Patrol and 1st XV rugby in Silverdale.
Symptoms related to whiplash, such as headaches, neck pain, back pain, arm or leg pain and numbness or tingling, respond very well to chiropractic treatment. Contact us today to see if we can help you with your symptoms.

Importance of Choosing the Right Personal Trainer for Nutrition Diet Plan
Do you want to make changes to your diet to meet a specific goal (weight management, bodybuilding, rehab after surgery or injury) but are unsure of how to proceed?
Are you frustrated because a diet plan that worked for a friend isn’t working for you?
You need professional help from a personal trainer in London.
Why need a personal trainer?
Because based on your goal, your diet plan will vary.   Also, you need to consider factors such as your age, gender, genetics (family history), metabolism level, body shape and composition, dietary preferences, food allergies, lifestyle, existing ailments, etc.
Consult a certified personal trainer for a nutritional diet plan who will:
design a customised nutrition diet plan after a comprehensive one-on-one assessment of your health, medical history, needs, and goals
help you implement the customised nutrition diet plan
help you stay motivated and reach your goal without taking unnecessary risks or damaging your health.
H2: Essential Tips for Choosing the Best Personal Trainer for Nutrition Diet Plan
Some tips to help you in your search for the best personal trainer for nutrition diet plan:
Credentials: Check online for the qualifications and certifications of the personal trainer. A degree in  Nutrition and Dietetics with a sound knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology is essential. Certification should be from a recognised organisation or authority.
Experience and Expertise: Check for the experience and expertise of the personal trainer. How many years of practice does the trainer have as a fitness coach and nutritionist? Is he/she specialised in a  particular branch (healthy eating plan, weight loss programme, etc.)? Does he/she have experience working with people having similar goals as you? Has he/she won any awards? Do his/her clients have remarkable success stories?
Goal alignment: Define your goal and discuss it with your personal trainer. Goal alignment is key as you and the personal trainer will be working together. Discuss your goal with a trainer. Your goal can be to lose/gain weight, reduce fat, build muscle, prevent muscle loss, improve fitness, detox your body, or rehab after an injury. The trainer should be versatile to handle any type of health goal. You can also consult for a healthy eating plan to manage a health condition (diabetes, osteoporosis, menopause, PCOS, sciatica pain). During your trial session with the personal trainer, assess whether he/she has understood your goal. Does he/she give your goal due importance? Is he/she genuinely listening to your concerns, limitations, preferences, and needs?
Philosophy: Do you feel comfortable around the personal trainer? Does he/she treat you with respect, empathy, patience, and mindfulness? What is his/her motivational style? Tell your trainer about yourself – are you slow in accepting changes? Do you respond to rewards or reprimands? Avoid coaches who use negativity to motivate their clients.
Availability and schedule: Check the availability and schedule of the personal trainer. Does it match your timings and needs? Is he/she available only in person or on phone calls or emails as well? Between sessions, does he/she offer support via phone or email? Is he/she flexible with his/her timing? Does he/she offer the option of coming to your home/workplace? Which areas does the personal trainer London cover? Also, check with the fitness coach whether online personal training in London is available.
Compatibility: Do not underestimate the importance of compatibility between you and your trainer. Is your trainer ready to accommodate you according to your timings and availability? Is he/she a good listener? Does he/she take a keen interest in your journey and is genuinely interested in helping you?
Cost and value: You are investing in your health by using the expertise of a personal trainer. There is a cost and value associated with this. Find out the fees and the services included. Are the fees within your budget? Do not just go by the monetary figure. Find out about the payment terms and other policies (cancellation charges, if any). You can also ask for 1 or 2 free demo sessions.
Progress tracking: It is important to monitor progress. Is the nutrition diet plan working for you? Does your trainer maintain records of the parameters (e.g., BMI, waist-to-hip ratio, body fat percentage in the weight loss programme) that are relevant to your goal? Does he/she review your progress periodically and give you feedback? Does he/she review the plan and if need be, modify it?
Use the above tips to choose a personal trainer for nutrition diet plan. Ask trusted friends and family members for referrals to experienced personal trainers.
Browse online for personal trainer London, check the testimonials / reviews on the websites.
If possible, contact past/current  clients to know about their experience. If it suits you, get online services from the personal trainer.
Most personal trainers offer a free trial session , so book a consultation to meet in person, get a feel of the trainer’s personality and ask the right questions to help you find the best personal trainer for nutrition diet plan.

What is Sciatica And Know When to Visit Your Doctor
Sciatica occurs due to pain radiating down the sciatic nerve. The sciatic nerve is a large nerve travelling from the buttock down to the back of the leg.  Sciatica is caused due to compression of the sciatic nerve by a herniated disc and overgrowth of bone and ligaments. One should be aware of how this pain feels. Patients usually complain of a sharp, burning or tingling pain on the affected side in the lower back, hip and leg.
The sciatica nerve is the longest and thickest nerve in your body. There are two sciatic nerves; Each nerve runs through your hip and buttock on each side of your leg. They each go down the leg and reach just below your knee. Once there, they split into smaller nerves that connect to parts further down, including your lower leg, foot and toes. The pain may vary. For most people, it feels like a mild ache, to some, a sharp, burning pain. In severe cases, it can feel like an electric shock or many tiny needles pricking your nerve. It is seen that sciatica affects only one side of the body. Muscle weakness in the leg or foot that doesn’t allow you to lift your leg is another symptom of sciatica.
So, how can you deal with it at home? We at Cardiff Pain Clinic suggest; For mild symptoms, following a few simple exercises and changes in lifestyle can improve sciatica. Walking is an excellent exercise. If you are on the heavier side, you should shed some extra fat and check if it improves the pain or not. Follow a healthy and balanced diet keeping junk food at bay. This will help you shed fat at a faster rate. Leg exercises will help ease the pain. Lifting your legs every day for some time also helps alleviate the pain.
If you have a sitting job, walk regularly and avoid sitting for long hours at a stretch. But even after following these simple steps, if your pain doesn’t improve or worsens, visit us at https://cardiffpainclinic.com/ for an appointment. Dr Rahul Guru, Pain Medicine Consultant Cardiff, South Wales, treats patients with sciatica. Types of treatment include medications, injection treatment (epidurals/nerve root blocks) and physiotherapy. More detailed information about the injections is on this website’s “procedures performed” page.

Just a little rant about working in a casino as a cashier:
I'm so excited to not be belittled for my age, to not wear uncomfortable dress shirts that are too big (bc hr had only one shirt in my size, and the sewing is failing in the armpit), to not have beer spilled on myself and my things, to not have to explain every single thing like im talking to a child, to not have to hear the stupid jokes about people's less than $1 tickets, to not have to pick up the slack for others, to not be yelled at because we don't take checks unless you're on a list, to not be treated like a robot (it's amazing how many people who won't even say hello before asking and demanding), to not listen to the same 20 songs everyday, to actually sit in a chair and not have to get up every five minutes and worsen my sciatica by just standing in one spot for 8 hrs.
The last 8 months kind of sucked for $15/hr and traveling UP HILL (worse gas mileage) for 24 minutes on a dangerous road. The stories I'm hearing and and my experiences are making me not want to be here long term. My back hurts, I'm so tired from having to function and do things as an adult before work because I work 4pm to midnight but I don't get home until 1 am, and I still have to eat dinner and decompress, so I don't get to bed till 3 or 4 am. I am a husk of a human, I have no hobbies anymore that I can work on for more than 5 minutes. I don't go anywhere because I'm working the days that the things I want to go to are on, and since I work evenings it's not like I can "go after work".
This new job means I can do more things. I'll have my evenings and weekends. I'm so excited for what the future will bring now.
